Oh joy, it’s the worst part (well, one of them) of FFXIV.
Still bugged on Gate of madness…kitten Its been almost a week!
Wow killer Arena.net? Really?? hahahahahahun.. wow has worse bugs for a month after every patch. Hell wow has bugs that hinder ppl for many months! Like the ones that made hunters need to remove all gear and re equip anytime they entered a zone or the one that made you unable to craft more than one item at a time because of set bonuses.. that one lasted about 15-16 months.

I think the main thing people are taking issue with is the repeated (though vague) patch notes about having fixed skill points.
The fundamental difference is that this isn’t an exploit nor does it give you any advantage over other players. It’s just a relatively meaningless bug which, as you said, affects all Engineers. Do you really think ANet is going to ban an entire class for something this minor? Simply put, you fear of being banned isn’t rational.
No need to stop playing—you’re not going to get banned for this.
There’s a couple of these scattered around, but does it really matter? I still don’t understand what the personality system is supposed to do or how it’s supposed to work. I just max a single trait and always click that option.
If they can’t be easily fixed, just change them to ‘Communes’ or ‘Eat stuff’ skill points. It’s not like the fighting “Challenge” is ever a challenge anyways.

Fixed blocked events and skill challenges.
Yay!
runs to Death’s Anthem to finish the map
Wait, what the… gdi, ANet…
Just one of those things you have to take into consideration when playing. It’s like how you don’t want to hit Pistol Whip when a mob is running around, or unload when the target is obstructed; you need to be aware of your surroundings and what’s going on. Simply put, look before you leap.
I have this problem in Chrome. It tends to happen if you stay on a page for more than 15 seconds or so and almost always happens if you reply to a post.
A nice quick-fix would be to provide a link back to the subforum and page that you were previously viewing.

It’s an issue with factory OC’d nVidia cards. Downclock by 10-20% and you’ll be able to play forever without crashing.
Colored screen + stuck sound hard crash means you need to downclock your card by 10-15%. That will stop you form crashing, though obviously it’s not a perfect fix.
Stealth loses its luster when you can’t backstab. Sword/Dagger is weak.
If you own an nVidia GPU. GW2 is not the game for you

Downclock by 10-20%. You’ll be able to play just fine.
Downclock your card by 10-20% and you’ll be able to play just fine. Just a temporary fix until nVidia gets their act together, but it’s been working since the problem first appeared in closed beta.

Downclock your graphics card by 10-20% to fix this problem.

Downclock your cards a little bit (10-20%). This should fix the problem.
Several hundred people posted about this (and I assume thousands didn’t) during the beta. While ANet was largely silent on the issue, they did mention a problem with factory overclocked cards (the fact that downclocking fixes the issue completely seems to support this) and implied that there were serious issues with nVidia’s new series of drivers (which has been corroborated in numerous other forums unrelated to GW2).
Given the breadth of the problem, the similarities in cards with problems (GTX 560ti and GTX 570 HD being the most common culprits) and lack of heat issues, I’m convinced that it’s a driver issue. Seeing as beta drivers were released just last week and did not address the problem, I’d guess it’ll be a few months before we see a fix.
Thankfully, downclocking your card allows you to play without interruption and with surprisingly little impact on performance.
Yep. I believe the only way to report them currently is to add them to your contacts list, click their name and report there. Hopefully CS looks at mail logs in that instance and not just chat logs.
What’s reaching 70°? Internal case temp? CPU? GPU?
I’d speculate that either a component is overheating or has been previously damaged by overheating.
Try downclocking your graphics card by 10-20%.
My graphic card is not OCed.
Try it anyways.
If you attack a mob at the outer edge of melee range, auto attack will not engage, even though you hit the mob. You have to click your auto attack again when the mob moves closer.
If you’re running an nVidia card, right click your desktop and open nVidia Control Panel (if you don’t have it, you might need to download it from nvidia.com).
Click Performance>Device Settings>Custom and downclock a bit.
Try downclocking your card by 10-20%. There is a known issue with factory OC’d cards (and some others).
The fix for the colored screen/stuck sound system crash is to downclock your graphics card by 10-20%. That will stop the crashing. (This crash has been around since closed beta and is believed to be an nVidia issue which may or may not be fixed in a future driver update. ANet has been almost completely silent on the issue.)

Very useful. The 20/20 magic/gold find Orange Coconut bars are easy/cheap to make and great to use.
Some recipes can’t be discovered and must be purchased from heart vendors or tradeskill masters.
Having said that, I do believe that there are some glitches with discovery. Also keep in mind that just because it’s online doesn’t mean it’s in-game. All games have items that show up in online databases but aren’t obtainable in-game, were never added or were removed.
