Imagine being on Mag or SoS right now… they are getting hammered by the heaviest servers with no end in sight.
Leagues exacerbated an already crappy problem (transfers and tier locks). Until they abandon this architecture, I am not sure there is much that can be done sans eliminating leagues altogether.
I like doing crazy events like a 2 man golem rush on a tier 3 keep when outmanned. Been successful a handful of times too. NSP is a great place and mostly our commanders are part of smaller guilds so we (myself included) rely on name recognition and getting the job done with whoever is around, pug’s as most say, I tend to use the many guild wvw group :-).
NSP is a fun place. And roamer friendly! Besides what other server can boast of a Birdday 75 golem rush?!?!

Also what about queues….I hate them, are they bad on NSP?
You will find some that groan about it, or that our BL is a mess… But the vast majority would rather find a good fight than PVDoor a win or worry about the PPT at all. As far as Queues, there are rarely any except for on reset. Even then its only 2 maps that have a Queue.
Hmm regarding queues, what about before leagues? (IE: before you were perpetually outmanned)
SF is queuing 4 maps every reset and it is beyond bad, you pretty much pick a map, pick a toon and get settled in for the next 5+hrs cause you aint moving anywhere else.
What is this “queue” you speak of? Is this a new technique I am unaware of?
But seriously, I like the ppt game for the wxp only. The bags are nice when defending but the leagues have had a huge say in that with us being perpetually outmanned. Wxp is only nice to get my stacks since all of the other servers we face have fortitude, leech, and bloodlust usually. Wish ANet would fix the alt situation.
Loving this weeks match-up. As a member of Dragonbrand I know we’re a quality not quantity server, we have lots of people but most are PvE’ers and don’t care much for WvW. But those of us that do are a good group and it’s nice to see us faced with such an even challenge. I sympathize for Ehmry and Crystal from last week being totally dominated, we’ve all been there. But the change from last weeks match-up is massive, no where is safe to roam alone and if you’re not careful the enemy will steal everything from under your nose.
High five for the level of skill Shiverpeaks and Yak’s have been showing us since reset. You guys are a tough bunch and I’m glad to have an even match. We all seem to be equally capable which will make for a very interesting week. I hope this continues!

Keep feeling for Ehmry they get to play with FA this week
Actually had a pretty good time killing them in the open field last night. In between kiting their 25+ man guild blobs that would chase us around the map for minutes on end, that is.
When they got caught in the open field with even numbers they died pretty easily. I noticed their trash talking against NSP last week. So far their walk comes no where near their talk with respect to open field fighting but the week is young.
And, you were probably talking about PPT. So, yeah, I guess it sucks for people who care about that kind of thing.
This should come as no surprise. Those who talk the biggest often fail the hardest, or hide behind 30 allies.
I like to hide behind 30 frequently.
As for FA , lol.. words cannot describe just how bad their solo/small man skills are.

NSP would love to have you guys. We have a lot small mans and always have a welcoming community. Any WvW focused guilds are a welcome site no matter the time you play. Fair warning we are not a blob server, we zerg when we have to, but are rarely never outmanned. The fights are a plenty and you actually get value for anything you do for the server whether it be capping and defending a tower or camp flipping.
Thx to Pro for the fights tonight in FA’s BL we had a good time roaming a little bit. The north camp was just for fun with all of the siege. For some reason you can’t throw a ram at someone and make any damage, c’mon ANet a hot fix is needed.
I kinda like how it is in lower tiers, where servers have a sort of personality. It’s filled with people who have a lotta pride (sometimes too much, haha). And it’s always the same old friends too.
So true, although I still consider NSP a smaller server. Pride in a server comes from a community. With all of the bandwagonning that has gone on I would say that most servers are having a hard time with that.
Looking at the schedule.. fellow FA’ers better get used to this. Looks like it’s easy street until week 6….
I wonder how fun the ppt farm can be. Running around in mindless horribad blobs taking undefended stuff. O wait .. that’s what we did to ar/et iourut last match up before league’s started. It sucks , its boring , it also makes you a bad player since you don’t fight real people your skills decline and timing goes away.
So with that said. I’m happy about the constant fights that I’m seeing. Its been a blast so far. Wish fa would step up some in the skill department. Pro door humping doesn’t count as a skill.

You silly goose. You don’t need to join Ebay or SBI to know SBI sucks. Zerging is the only think SBI knows. Even If EB was completely empty SBI would still zerg, you know in order to stay safe. i mean imagine if a commander would get scared of his shadow, gotta have that 50 followers protecting him. On a serious note, that’s what your server is, accept it, it’s ok. We knew what was in store or us in this tier. NSP did not tank, we showed up and fought. Same this time, just pretty hard to do much this week so the complaint is really about the fights. Won’t find many Zerg fights this week from us so embrace the small fights, try to get better. We at NSP, it’s true don’t run the glass builds most in a 50 man do but feel free to do w/e idc tbh.
[XOXO] PvF is fine. The problem is you are looking for a small-team roam and you are seeing what it’s like when you come against any server with any level of coverage. You all need to move servers or suck it up.
You can call it a zerg or blob or unskillz tower hug. The truth is if you are single/team-roaming and meet one player running to the blue dorito (not a one player/team standing around looking for trouble), chances are that they don’t have a chance because they are probably running some zerg/blob/tagging build and will get smashed or will escape you. Neither is fun.
SBI has just as many roaming groups as any other server with any level of coverage. The answer is still next to none.
You all do it to yourselves by running in roaming teams instead of roaming solo. You don’t help your case by targeting towers (and conjuring the blob to come and respond) instead of targeting sentries/high-traffic lanes. At least bait with some open field siege or something…
TL;DR [XOXO] isn’t looking for WvW, they are looking for gank and getting upset that their ‘tactics’ don’t work on any server with actual coverage.
Lies!!!!! XOXO is far and away one of the biggest PPT focused guilds in WvW on NSP. Better check your sources!

Not whining, just an observation. 14 weeks of unwinnable matchups wont be good for our fragile WvW community if that’s what happens. The 7 weeks we have line up now could be interesting if it hardens our core and then we get to dominate in bronze a little.

We haven’t seen any mass exodus of guilds like other servers have and we haven’t seen a heavy influx of new guilds either. The people who are on the server now are the ones that want to be and want to make the best of it. We may not when the ppt battle but we win plenty of fights. The community here is what makes it a great server and now, thankfully, most of the complainers have left. Beside how much fun is it when you pvD and rotfl stomp people with lower pops. We did that to get into Silver and there is no way it would be fun or good for us to be the FA or SBI of Bronze league. Just my opinion….
Titan Alliance? Team Legacy? Ring any bells? We were the first server that I know of in the game to suffer from a mass exodus of guilds.
We had queues last week for EB, this week we’ve been lucky if we’re not outnumbered. I call that fragile.
Ebay and NSP you all are the lucky ones this match. I’ve logged on for about 45 min total. Can’t motivate myself to go in when we have 400+ PPT.
Anet took way too long to even acknowledge that WvW population disparity was a problem. I don’t have any hope they’re going to fix it any time soon.

Yep rings plenty of bells. I was speaking to the fact that over the last 6 mos while most other servers were playing “bandwagon server hopping” we stayed pretty consistent. We have been on a pretty straight line while other servers have been a huge roller coaster ride. Again past is the past, speaking about the here and now you can’t deny the consistent presence we have had in the last 5-6 months. Even though we will not “win” this league. It has been a lot of fun thus far! Still not looking forward to FA YB or SBI, just due to the shear numbers you guys have.
Today was a lot of fun in EB, obviously a zergfest, but I had a ton of fun. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever spent as much time as I did today upgrading and sieging up our towers. OW from paper to tier 3 with enough siege to wipe an 80 man, Mendons to Tier 2 with same amount and Anz to tier 2 with just enough siege to hold back your Zerg CD with 5 people. Thanks for testing my placements was a good experience and the bags were appreciate. Props to Sheeana for the help and the rest of NSP for coming to help when the red tags started to show up. It was nice to have some defensible towers.
The one thing that has been failed to be mentioned is the fact that NSP has never been a bandwagoner server. The same core of WvW players and guilds are still here and have been loyal and stuck with the server. One of the best PvE servers in GW2 we have seen a small influx of PvErs join into WvW. We have 1 large WvW guild (Os) and 2 moderate sized WvW guilds (TFG and Zos). Beyond that we have quite a few smaller guilds that are also active in WvW and do an outstanding job whether it be adding to a Zerg, roaming play, camp capping, or the 2-3 man golem rushes on your keeps. It’s a fantastic community that is proud and loyal. The core players aren’t going anywhere as most of us have been here since day one. Too many servers offer instability due to mass guild exoduses, but you can count on NSP to not have that problem. Sure we will welcome any guilds OR players that want to be apart of our community, but the best aspect is stability and the awesome community. Silver League will be extremely tough for us from a ppt perspective because we definitely lack the coverage or manpower, but we will show up and fight everyday. Any guild looking to transfer from the blobs in the higher tiers or the lack of consistent fights in the lower tiers, consider NSP for your new home.

The only reason NSP is in silver is because we have more players (than HoD/Kain) that place their pride over their enjoyment of the game. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
Our only serious WvW guild (Os), knew that bronze was where we belonged, even though they wanted to be in silver for the competition. Some ignorant people flamed Os for this decision (which was a completely selfless one), so Os took us to silver to prove themselves to said people.
I’d say it’s some consolation to know that the NPS’ers that wanted us in silver are going to be getting their faces beaten in, but it’s really not. I won’t be able to enjoy my favourite aspect of the game for 7 weeks unless I leave my home server, which I have gotten very attached to.
This entire “WvW season” thing was a horrible idea, and is only rivaled in horribleness by the fact that Anet gave people so much time to destroy their own servers via transfers, stacking, throwing, and the results of differing opinions on those topics. I for one know that NSP was split between people who wanted bronze vs silver, and we risked losing multiple guilds and guild leaders over the whole thing.
As someone said earlier, those who see this as a challenge for NSP to overcome are delusional. The word “challenge” implies a chance of success. What’s even more ridiculous is how many NSP’ers think we fought hard and earned a rightful place in silver league. They don’t seem to understand that we are here because of illegitimate action taken by other servers who purposely lowered their WvW score to take what should have been our position in bronze.
What’s really funny is that Devon thinks he’s going to finish the Season 1 meta on NSP. The only way we are getting Stonemist Castle is if the other servers pity us and give it to us freely.

I’m sorry for NSP, when you faced us you showed yourself to be bored with us, FC hasn’t given up and neither have I. What disappoints me is that in the end the true colors show. Throwing a match so you can stay in the lower tiers and avoid the higher one. If I remember it was purely XOXO badmouthing but they kept true to their standards. Idk if OS is still holding their own end of things. It’s time you realize that your whole server isn’t the will of one player or of a guild.
I hope you learn a lesson here Obs you and XOXO may be alright and I keep my respect for you, but as for those of you throwing the match, very disappointing. Finally when you see yourself in the situation of the lower tier servers do, you realize how the skill of a server isn’t dictated by points or PPT , rather server size and coverage matters alot. Atm if GoM and AR were to throw the match would be the only way NSP would move to silver.
Kaneing will have to completely wipe if they want to take your slot, and by wipe I am talking 10 ppt or 0 . If we do face you again for the Bronze leagues then don’t complain about FC being all zerg and crap, we wouldn’t zerg if we had to deal with those insane numbers compared to ours. I really wanted NSP to get the matches they were looking for. I hope Obs learns a thing or two from this situation, I did warn you a thread before something like this could happen.
Obs I hope this sheds some light that NSP isn’t the hardcore server you made it out to be, in fact it’s only several of you who are worth the fight.
The lesson I learned over the past few days is prolly more grim then even you understand.
Not only is 80% of the server tanking this match. But if you hit some borderlands , people get mad. “Wtf you doing” ect ect. On top of that I’ve had 2 people tell me I should just xfer off if I don’t like it.
These are the people with the balls to say it. I’m sure there is way more then just 2 people that want me gone at this point for a million reasons.
But for trying to gain points/better competition shouldn’t be the reason.
Is finishing first in bronze such a big deal ? to me it isn’t. To these half breed pve/achievement whores its huge … I guess. Enough to make other people actually consider leaving this server or being told to leave.

Honestly I know that those I have spoken to are not “tanking”, but there is definitely a lower population right now. Gotta give props to the TFG EB crew doing a solid job and EL and BC in our BL’s. It’s clear Kaineng will do everything to drop down. I say let them, I figured we would never have the outmanned buff, but it has been ever present in AR and GoM BL’s. Definitely surprising me. Appreciate the GoM and AR that are putting up a good fight, especially ASH in our Hills. Had a lot of good tough fights with you guys tonight. And…. So much siege, been a hard nut to crack :-(.

It is with great sadness that I must inform you of the permanent ban of our consummate pro forum warrior…. Bird Song, known amongst his friends simply as Rob. I know it is hard to fathom how such a dedicated gw2 gamer can get the ban boot, but we all know that there was a conspiracy against him by ANet due to the proposed renaming of StoneMist to BirdMist. Hopefully there will be an inquiry into this injustice and we can once again be flooded with hilarious gifs that are not only truth but also inspiring to us plebs. It will be my honor to light a superior flame ram in your memory!

Those were some great fights in Ebay away from 30+ zergs and flash built superior siege in fully upgraded camps for our 5-8 today. Jk, that never happened…

The game is so much more fun and rewarding when you push the odds. Often times you lie flat on your face (especially if you’re Sarsbear) but those times you succeed are more than worth it.

Would love to have you on NSP. We have no Oceanics to speak of but we have a great core WvW crowd. NSP will never offer up transfer fees to “buy” guilds wanting to join our server. Fun fights at NW tower/garri on NSP BL tonight guys
Yeah was a long fight with SBI with open walls and constantly being AC’d. You guys kept poking your heads in there on the cliff. The fight at NE tower was fun as well when we caught you guys at the lord. Good practice breaking in my Mesmer.
When has wvw ever been fair?! From class balance, to food, to outnumbered fights and now to bloodlust buffs, WvW is not, and was never meant to be fair. It’s all about beating the odds. That’s the beauty of the game type.
Stop all the doom and gloom and look on the bright side. As a roamer, you will now get more quality fights in one hour than you used to find over three hours. Not only that, but the terrain to fight on is infinitely more interesting than taking laps around SM.
If you want “fair” go play spvp.

1) Class Balance: you actually think the spvp balancing suffices in wvw? wow.
2) Food: people have always found certain foods that push builds over the edge. Remember omnomberry ghosts? What about koi cakes? Class balance doesn’t take food into account, which is very apparent in wvw.
3) Outnumbered: I meant outnumbered fights, not the buff
With all of the variables of wvw, you’re almost never in a “fair” fight. The BL buffs really don’t change anything.
Guess you didn’t catch the sarcasm…… There is no class balance, never has been. The buff is over the top, still can’t see how you can’t understand that. Through coordination and having a good group setup, you can easily handle double your numbers, often times more, now with that stupid buff it’s a game changer. It becomes about who has the bigger server in the matchup. I just think its funny because this idea was originally thrown around to help the lower pop servers have a way to combat the superior numbers.
Still we will see how long this goes. Changes will I’m sure come.

THAT is my problem and this is why the small groups will eventually leave all together. Your on Blackgate so you wouldn’t understand how things work down here in the lowbie tiers. Lol you would think so, but small man teams can do quite a bit for an “army”, or is it your thinking that is “Blob to camp”, “blob to tower”, “blob to camp”, “blob to camp”, “blob to keep”, “reblob to first tower”, etc..
