The people saying “we’re so much better than NSP and IOJ.” Guess what? We’re not.
The people sitting in LA whining about losing in WvW. Maybe you should be constructive with that time.
The people attacking southern towers instead of defending keeps, or standing and watching our walls get trebbed, or headbutting gates instead of learning how to be useful. Numbers are a big deal, but they’re not the sole factor in a matchup, and DH needs to learn that. Just ask the zerg that I saw 5 SPCA wipe last night while I was trebbing. (You know where they went afterward? LA. We didn’t get the doorless keep.)

I like Darkhaven. But some of the things I’ve seen and heard this week have turned my stomach.

It’s the end, after this patch we won’t be able to thieve around anymore. We just recieved the worst nerf I’ve ever seen, a nerf that will make every thief that uses Shadow arts impossible to play. An upleveled in whites will be able to faceroll us just by autoattacking. White ambient creatures will tear our livers out leaving us agonizing to death. Maybe even green npcs and party members will be able to kill us.

You know what I’m talking about: Last Refuge, they nerfed it by lowering it’s cooldown to 60 seconds.

Thief Nerf, jeeze look at the ranger nerf. Basically not worth playing anymore.

So thieves get major buffs and our pet bursts are nerfed. Bravo ANet.

I get the sense that the mixed up matches have sort of been a breath of fresh air for a lot of the servers in the low tiers (no idea what goes on in tiers I’m not in, haha). It’s good to see Ferguson’s Crossing doing so well in this match up. It is kinda neat to find out that Ferguson’s Crossing and Eredon Terrace have better match ups when they’re not together. I don’t think we’d ever have seen that under the old system. Also at least on my server the tone at reset is more excited.

It’s why I’m kind of a fan of the new system, even though it isn’t very kind to our ranking and rating this week, haha. For example, it’s looking like Northern Shiverpeaks will have a higher rank than Gate of Madness after this week.

Agreed. I’m really excited to see FC so fired up and doing well in this match. I haven’t had too many fights with them so far since we’ve been spending most of our time in DR’s bl, but I keep running into Jesse everywhere I go. Always good fights with that guy… just a bit much whenever I have to fight him AND the [EDGE] perma-stealth thief at the same time ._.

I am a huge fan of the new system! Had the most fun in WvW over the last 3 weeks.

I have been on the other end MANY times, we had alot of fun fighting you guys. And props to y’all, you guys kept coming. There were alot of good fights tonight. I was streaming most of the fights. I will edit it on twitch and post the link when I get it worked out.

Btw pass on my apologies to the PD warrior I fought at E camp, I was hiding and was surprised when I saw a red tag and hit him as he gave me a wave. I pulled back and had a nice 1v1 with him. Sometimes when you see red you just react, lol.

NSP is the place to be. We are like “Rocky”…. Holding our own against the big boys.

I notice your build is really offensive. Like you plan to stay and win the fight. I think you need another GTFO card for when the other 20 dudes show up. Maybe just switching out your Geomancy sigils for Energy would help a little. I don’t know though I don’t have a ranger just one idea.

Aw I was just kidding. Was running around with only a couple of guildies in our BL and it just seemed like we got steamrolled even though that was our intent for the night. Attack and distract, you tend to have that effect. As to my build its as defensive as you can have on a ranger actually. But when your outnumbered by a whole lot you tend to get rolled pretty easy. I wish I would have taken a screenshot at the sea of Red coming for us when we (us 3-4) managed to make it through the outers of Both Bay and Garrison. Was a great response time.

I so can’t believe my three man 2 golem rush didn’t succeed at our garrison, curse you PD and Abys guild, and my Four man 1 golem rush on our bay, it was a shame. I knew I should have brought one more! It was great to see the amount of respect you had for us when your entire zerg showed up! We actually had a blast stirring the pot a little bit and had some fun fights at bay until the hoard showed up. Props to DH you guys really brought it tonight!

What a reset! Good going NSP! Best showing I have seen in a long time.

Thought that was you. Appreciate you letting me kill the guard before you jumped back in, then I realized at the end I was about to get rolled so I was hoping to take at least one more out before I got a spike through my head. IMO a better build for you, the clones were hitting Alot harder and you throw them out so quick had a hard time focusing you. We will do it again I am sure. I always enjoy fighting PD. class act group of people.

Respect -1 to those people. When I see my fellow NSP people do it (which isn’t too often from what I see, but there’s this one guild…) I just smh. It’s not funny, it’s frustrating for the victim. I would know, it’s happened to me before!

Being from DH I can say its been a great week. NSP really gave us a great fight. I really don’t understand why your point’s are not higher.
Yes, we took your keep several times, Sorry, you guys should of never tried to overtake our entire BL.
Taking a few Towers and Maybe a keep or two once in while is fine, but to try and overtake our entire BL was simply something that made our server want to beat you that much more.
We have gone after IOJ keep. Got it a couple of times. One time we rolled in there with 9 or 10 golems.
Best of luck with the new match ups. You guys gave us some great fights. Hope you do well.

But we haven’t hit DH hard all week apparently. We have focused IoJ the entire time. Rofl. I feel like I am in a twilight zone with them. Lol.

On a serious note. Fun matchup with both of the servers. I love the fact that DH has a few roamers and a very few times IoJ as well. I am more of a roamer myself and enjoy the PvP side that WvW allows for and it has definitely made for a great time. Hope I was able to frustrate a few of you a couple of times. I am sure we will meet one or both of you again. It’s reset day and I am looking forward to another great matchup. Props to NSP for showing alot of grit! Proud to a part of a great server.

We could use some oceanic coverage. So if you are looking for a home, (most of our competing servers have a huge oceanic presence) and don’t want to just PvDoor. Consider NSP as your home.

I have fought some good players from DH so I have to disagree, but IoJ seems to only run in packs in my experience. I am sure they have the roamers but I have yet to find one.

Apparently we are only a good server because of you DH! You have my personal thanks! In all seriousness I have had more fun the past 2-3 weeks, well really since the matches are changing constantly. We have actually been a lot more organized in recent weeks and surprisingly the dragon bash hasn’t pulled a huge population away. Tbh what you are seeing are the regulars, the hardcore players that are enjoying themselves more and more. And when it’s a competitive match quite a few others join in. So it has been quite nice to see. Good going NSP!

Rob is right DH is a good respectable opponent that gives credit where credit is due. Your forum warriors (can’t speak for your entire WvW pop) has yet to give credit to anyone or anything with out a slight comment or an excuse. Most notably “we are hitting DH why are you hitting us? You guys are idiots”, when what you should really be saying is NSP please be our friends we need your help to beat DH.

When we log our BL gets flipped by like 10 dudes. NSP and IoJ have done this to us before many times. I am not crying. This is WvWvW. Everyone that has played long enough has felt like they were being double teamed or focused at some point. It is not like we all aren’t low ranking servers we have all felt that way before. I know I did when we faced servers like AR,BP, DB ect.

Wait…. No way, NSP doesn’t attack DH didn’t you get the memo. We just live off of scraps.

it looks like IoJ is playing for second, taking up scraps and advantage of us after DH has us backed into a corner.

Clearly we play during entirely different timezones. From NA primetime, until right before the Oceanics got on IoJ we were battling DH from our BL, their BL, and EB. The only big groups hitting NSP most of the time are randoms out to flip camps. IoJ doesn’t play for second. We play to win.

I can assure you the same thing that I assured DR. If there wasn’t a server with close to double our populations….things would be entirely different. DR didn’t think so, and we put them in third as we took first. The bigger server of the three is more worried about ending up anywhere else in the ranking than any of the servers. Clearly that isn’t IoJ or NSP in this match, and you can check the match updates by the hour to see who’kittenting your server the most. It isn’t IoJ my friend. We’re not playing for anything other than to win…

We know that if DH isn’t kept in check they’d have a 100k lead on us by Wednesday. So why would we farm NSP for second when we can farm DH for legit points/badges/AND keep them from having an insane blow out score? We wouldn’t. And we don’t. I can’t speak for the pugs….there’s always going to be randoms doing whatever they want to do. No one can control that lot.

tl;dr~ I’ve never in my daily 4-6+ hour weekday or 12+hour weekend wvw sprees ever seen someone say “Uh oh, we need some points. Lets go hit whoever is in third place’s BL, take their stuff in EB & bank on that for points”. Never. It’s get what’s ours back, and thoroughly punish whoever is most responsible for farming us for points. No one gets to first by sitting in second and picking on third place. Think about it.

Why not take DH’s stuff then head to their BL and wipe it green as well. IoJ is untouchable in your statements because if we hit you guys we are the weaklings trying to play for 2nd. If we hit DH and cap a few things, it’s all do in part to you guys hitting them as well. This is hilarious.

Honestly I see one thing. A sad soul upset that they can’t beat DH and looking for someone to blame. Of course WE are the weaker server (rofl) so we become an easy target. Problem is we have proven ourselves time and again. Ask DH whom it seems like we have a destiny to be together for a while if they were surprised they didn’t roll us easily. We unfortunately do not have the coverage to hold or take like you guys can.

I’ll make you guys a deal. At 12:00AM pacific time all go to bed and tell your oceanic crew to not cap anything and we will see who ends up in 2nd. Point is that is why you guys even have a lead on us so quit kittening and play the game.

Btw, has anyone received an game trophy from Anet for winning. Hmmmmm I want my trophy. I thought that was why we were all playing WvW, you know for that friggin trophy! Where are the trophies ANet?

I’ve yet to see the HOES bros. Or maybe I have and it was a weekend so I was well faded. But I will say with pleasure, that it’s always fun having an equal numbered skirmish with some PD bros. You guys don’t know when to die. And I’m pretty sure our pugs know that by now….which might explain why they run. :P

HOES transferred…. Such is life on NSP. Fewer people than we had 2 months ago but still doing well and having a good time.

IoJ was the only BL we weren’t outmanned other than our own so why not try to cap a few things. Not gonna sit by and cry about losing. Both DH and IoJ seem to love us equally at the same time it appears so obviously there is a lot of love to go around. We gotta take where we can, ;-).

BTW just curious, what exactly do we achieve for winning? Or getting 2nd for that matter? Is there a trophy I am unaware of? Cause man I would really want a trophy!

I/We are enjoying this matchup. There have been a lot of good fights. I have made some friends on DH that are pretty cool dudes and it makes it a ton of fun. I have a lot of respect for DH, IoJ is new to us so I have no opinion as of yet, but so far i am enjoying myself and you don’t seem to have 20 mesmers roaming around together so thats good! ;-)

Shiny c’mon over! Would love to have ya! Fortunately with our exits over the last few months we have seen a great number of positives. The drama has left our server, although we still get the trolls from time to time like everywhere else. Secondly, I don’t think any other server expects much from us and when we come to play, they realize instantly we are no pushover server and will keep fighting hard. We become very frustrating because we never seem to just “go away” even though we do not have near the population. Always a lot of fun and would welcome you guys if you were looking to head this way.

Dangit, Dentist. We were moving golems across the map and I had to lead a group of “explorers” away from them, then waypoint and run back to help with portals. And you just decided to waylay me outside spawn and stall me for a duel. Jerk.

Otters, regarding your screenie, it was the end of a long night and we were about as serious as I think you were (not very). Maybe next time we’ll fight with no legendary guards around.

Time well spent then, our BL was bleeding red, :-(. I always try to tag someone when I see a 1v1 or 1v2 they are so hard to find sometimes. We still have yet to not be interrupted tho, lol
