when were you when john lenin dies
Forgot to swap weapons and solo’d Lupicus with sword/horn swap.
Ugh, I am clumsy.
Are hammer guards actually used in FotM or is it just a thing for LFG runs?
I’m almost done crafting Mjolnir and currently trying to understand what would I even use that thing for.
If you want to reenact it properly it has to be a rifle warrior.
Makes me wish we had a spectate feature.
Yeah, I just whirlwinded in. It’s just that I can’t tell why I let her kill me that way 6 times in a row.
Belka opened on me with pulsing orb and point blank shot effectively pushing me in the orb. Six times in a row. I can’t tell if I’m unlucky or just not learning.
Well you are not supposed to facetank the mob it cleaves, this move is the automatic defense against high melee pressure. the goal is to control the amount of damage done and the way its dealt.
The key is to control how long, a group of player can maintain it’s highest dps output(melee dps), with a few cleave"auto attacks"(so here we a limiting the amount of time a boss spends recovering from it’s previous move) in between the key moves, first stacking will become a high risk/reward maneuver, fighting a boss will be naturally phased (offence/defense)and a lot of other changes in the way pugs will apprehend a boss.
So gameplay wise it’s much more interesting.
Uh, an enrage of sorts?
Basically what do you propose then: at certain point of people meleeing the boss it flips tables and starts cleaving in a radius.
Two and a half choices here: it never stops that move till people kitten off which brings us back to what I posted before.
Or it cleaves for some time and stops. Man, that’s just a burst skill then. We have plenty of those already and they force people to take defensive measures. The only point that makes it different from, say, Frenzied Blast or Teeth of Primordus, is that you can’t counterplay high frequence melee attacks with aegis or reflection. And it only triggers at specific conditions promoting lazy gameplay.
And it can be at the middle ground between above, like, steady dps lasting long enough to waste people’s dodges and defence utility and a bit more which is solved by a mix of above solutions, maybe promoting water field usage in the encounter. Water fields are generally underused in PvE but massive spread of such a counterplay isn’t that great either.
Can’t reinvent the bycicle. A move that just tells you to get out with no counterplay isn’t fun. A move that has a counterplay already has that counterplay known and tried.
bosses lack high frequency cleaving melee attacks
And I am so godkitten glad they do.
Why?
Well how do you see a boss with high-frequency aoe attacks working in GW2 at all?
The tactics you’ll have left, depending on the DPS the boss does, will be:
- kill it before you outrun of invulnerability/dodges/hp, which changes nothing
- chain protection and waterfields which is a change of sort but I personally don’t see a lot of fun interaction here
- outgear the damage – no fun at all
- abandon all hope and kite it around the place. We had Watchknights do this although they also required stability. I don’t think a lot of people had fun meleeing them.
Or! coordinate spikes.
That’s sort of included in the “abandon all hope” since you can take hits and deal damage, then kite around regenerating. If attacks were not aoe with strict agro system then we could add a strategy of coordinating personal invulnerabilities with party damage to the above ones. But if we’re speaking of aoe cleaves with current pretty random agro system it’s way less viable in such situation.

spiders will just use their 600 range aoe bite (anet please) into the nothing and hit following people with it
Oh yeah I screwed up some people with that before I realised what majestic creatures those spiders are.
FPS drop down to 10-15 from 30-40.
CPU Intel I7 920 @ 2,67 GHz, GPU Radeon HD 4870×2, 8GB RAM @ 2133 MHz
Current system is a fresh install of Win7 SP1 x64. Basically all it has installed is Catalyst 13.9 driver (latest for this video card), some C++ runtime libraries and Riva Tuner I use to control video card fan and sleep/work clocking since standard driver manages it terribly.
Everything was working totally fine on 20.05 update. Not as sure of 21.05 but was probably fine as well.
Performance only worsened in Guild Wars 2.
Similar drop happened on some mini update back in April or March prior (not directly) to megaserver update.
Currently crashes for me (and some other guildmates) when trying to select Caudecus Manor or Citadel of Flame.
Post in the LFG tool.
I fail to comprehend how do people not dodge it.
I had a guildmate ask me how to solo her and he apparently couldn’t.
Interesting to know.
Back to drinking.
The question is, why did you stay in the group?
Wiki is a community thing. That statement looks true but,..
A rare occasion. Happened to me the most when I had packet loss, not only in AC.
I used to be a shout heal warrior when I first played the game. Now, once in a while, I still hit FGJ while skipping through conditioning mobs.
:’)
If you guest on a server with the dungeon open, do you forfeit the influence for your guild on that run?
Actually a good question.
I’d guess no but does anyone know?
But why people use signets of 25% movespeed on dungeons and boss fights. That is all i want to know.
gtta go fast son
Zerker gear is (generally) not optimal in WvW so it’s certainly possible to have fun/interesting encounters where zerker is not favored. Unfortunately if Anet moves away from zerker = king, then we’ll have to grind for more types of gear — a terrible thought.
It’s not optimal because you’re much more likely to take damage in any PvP of sorts. I just described you PvE encounters which would do the same thing to you. Simplified down, but I did.
Then again it’s quite possible to WvW in berserker gear if you watch your surroundings well, but at least there is room for discussion. In PvE to make non-max damage gear more useful than max damage one, you’d have to lessen the usefulness of the dynamic part of the game.
You guys are rude, it’s just a game you know, people play how they want, you can’t force them to play like how YOU want, i play what i want to play for fun, but you guys seems to be upset and elitists here so i’m not going to argue any longer with you because you’re stupid. It’s like those people wanting 5k AP Warriors when i saw 12k AP Warriors in my group yesterday that couldn’t run in arah p1 and ragequitted in the end because they were too bad skipping Drakes and Oozes, yet we failed because a mesmer aggro all of the champions instead of one small group.
They’re saying that you get hit so hard in higher levels that no amount of toughness or vitality will save you. Therefore, toughness and vitality stats are wasted and you may as well put your stats into zerkers.
To zerker experts — if you were a dev, how would you modify encounters so that zerker is not necessarily king?
Given what GW2 is, non-max damage builds are only useful against constant dps. Conditions are more useful against high defence/permanent protection monsters, but then you are building for max dps again, with more emphasis on hybrid/condition damage.
Basically, if you want to force players to use survivability gear, you need to make boss attacks unavoidable – non-projectile ranged attacks or constant melee attacks with boss shadowsteping/being too fast to kite ranging. Which is quite the definition of anti-fun if you ask me.
Guys, guys, look at the gem I just found behind the corner.
Healing power is only good in PVE, in PVP and WvW you will suffer from conditions and poison will rip your healing to pieces and since you have kitten damage you will die in the end, otherwise the blessed build is better than yours, it has more vitality.
I want to believe that we are falling to the most masterful ruse yet.
They could just add additional combat events to the swamp fractal to make it longer.
Don’t give them ideas, even on a dead forum.
It was never confirmed but there is no reason for them to pay attention to it. Even so, the most you’d expect is for it to be raised to 250 in line with Agent of Entropy.
They were nerfed at the same time iirc so no clue why is the cap different but whatever.
200.
Also nope it won’t be :’D
go and ask people who have done lupi solo with multiple professions. im pretty sure they will tell you warrior was the easiest. + warrior probably has the most room for error.
I would say that guardian felt easier than warrior for me.
But warrior has a larger room for error than other professions, that’s true.
I once used my WvW healing power ranger build in CoE for giggles.
Was funny to just shoot the husk in p2 ignoring its retalliation.
Oh and facetanking alpha, yeah.
Has there ever been a stream or video showing devs playing a whole dungeon from start to finish?
Dehehehehehehehe.
It’s still as easy to dodge melee as it was.
If you’re having that much trouble with people stacked, use free camera.
They’re getting popular now though so bid your farewells.
No dungeon should require you to look it up on Dulfy or Youtube.
But not a single one of them does!
No dungeon should require research. If I walk into AC for the first time, and encounter Kholer, I would reasonably expect that this is a mini boss, and that me and my team should be okay to fight him.
I don’t even have an image macro suitable for emotions I am feeling towards you right now.
Now then I could I agree that AC is not the easiest dungeon out there and can bait a person into thinking since it’s a first one it “must be easy oh kitten kitten how did I die”.
But then I just

and I’m like “oh okay it’s like her/his opinion anyway” but then I again

and lose it.

I think you are to lazy to try, and to stubborn to learn.
God bless.
And were devs comments… How about:
Y we did this, we remove wp, now it spawn after Berserker WP(why u will use it, when u have Berserker one, nwm)
Y 1000 radius aoe dmg after golem run in p2 its normal, dont warry…
Y Alphard work like we wont
Y u warden will stand and watch whille mobs killing u…ops its not for that topic :p
Y Alphard Trident afk kill its normal
Y we will add Arah JP Achi and Lupi skipper tittle ^^
Give us some info pliz, and add some info in notes, if u change something like that
Potishe bratishka.
You can run pretty far away without resetting her and hide from the balls, which are fairly easy to dodge unless they bounce off someone.
But yeah the faster you chunk her down the safer.
Dungeon armor was never prestigious.
There’s enough casual instances in the game.
Do your story.
Kited her behind the boxes while being heavily drunk yesterday and had no problem.
All in all a weird way to scare the sellers from the path, but it will probably work.
Never bothered to buy one.
What did it do?
Remember the times when Dungeon Master meant something?
Back when AC was a bit weird and Simin was slightly harder?
Goodness, did it ever mean anything after like 3 months in?

Good 5 men teams should do over 50k dps against most enemies. Optimal teams about 70k dps.
God bless America.
Who the hell even invented this “dps team bursting down bosses before they do damage”.
It sounds stupidier than things I’ve said in middle school.
World bosses/WvW are the only means of acquiring dragonite
Also iirc guild challenges and Scarlet’s invasions.
But yeah much more limited compared to other two materials.
I’d disagree that his moves can’t be read, and the only instant grub I can think of comes in the P2 transition. Sure the hand-raise is a bit weird but it wouldn’t take a player too long to figure it out on their own even without outside help.
That’s exactly what’s wrong with it. This could easily be solved if we saw him cast something, and a beam landed on the player to show that they were directly being struck by an attack. It would provide context to where the grub is coming from.
He’s making a hella huge swing with his right hand and you get a visible green cloud on your character when it hits.
How is that not context enough.
The moment you add a room that has two exits instead of just one, you’ve already improved your dungeon a thousand fold.
Your opinion.
