Again not the right forum for bug discussions.
Your entire post was about debug this, bugged skills etc. Its not a discussion at all. Your not once discussing balance unless its related to a skill being bugged which again every class has had to deal with
Every class has bugs mate. Raging in the Spvp forums isn’t the place for it. If you find a bug report and then wait like every other class has had to. And if necros bugs make you mad….hi engineer here saying hello. We had entire skill sets and trait lines broken for months. So calm down report the bugs and deal with them like everyone else is.
Its definitely something on your end, may need to call your provider and have them look at your signal strength. If it was on ANets end everyone would be experiencing it.
And again what is your connection type? DSL, Cable, fios?
What is our connection type? Are you on a router?
Its certain spell effects ever since the dragonbash update, I ran this game fine but now certain spell effects cause it, like the treb shot dust cloud when it hits the ground. Not sure what they dinked with behind the scenes but yea, GW2 needs a good opti ran to it.
Small update it seems to be more then just him, its the items them selves are also coming up incorrect.

NA Server, US/english client.
NPC called Shady Quill in the zephyr airship displaying wrong language.
You could always do it the way it was intended and look at the statue that has the tears bellow it….
That would be great if it didn’t bug. But it can bug and display the wrong pattern. When that happens you have to work through all the others till you find the correct one.
Your lucky you got a response. I put a detailed ticket and got completely ignored.
Lol I got like 3-4 reply’s back in less then 12 hours regarding this issue, so I dunno.
But yea, this isnt the type of response I was hoping to get, it just shows that they knew there was something wrong with it.
Well I am hoping that ANET learns something from this achievement and doesn’t make the same mistakes in the future. Also don’t take this as me complaining about the dungeon, I personally enjoyed the heck out of this one. But this achievement was simply put, poorly implemented. From the extremely misleading description to the more luck based RNG way of acquiring it, it’s just not done in a good way.
And btw before someone says that I am just wanting achievements handed to me, you couldnt be more wrong, I was a massive Achievement kitten back in WoW anpd spent countless hours sometimes trying to get Hard mode ones, but those I could actively make an effort toward them. But this one was just to RNG and buggy.

The details are irrelevant IMO. The gm is still giving you a gimmicky way to get it. Same concept just a different order of events. /shrug still stupid that this ACH got so out of hand that this is what GMs are responding to bug reports with.

Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Support Team.
I’m really sorry for our previous response about the Personal Space achievement. You can obtain this achievement by avoiding all the AOE attacks from First Mate Horrik during the barrage. AOEs from other cannons won’t count against the achievement, neither will his attacks while he is on the ground. As a player, I suggest you to regroup with your party and stay together while running around the arena during the barrage. Horrik’s attacks target players, so if you are together with your party the attacks will focus on you and they will be easier to avoid as a group (they will target a specific spot and you can all run one direction).
As another option, if you are not hosting the instance you can start the final fight with your party and when the AOE starts logg out. The remaining four party members will need to defeat Mai Trin and First Mate Horrik, then you will need to get back to the instance to acquire the achievement.

Funny thing is, a GM responded to one of my tickets telling me that this was one of the methods to obtain this. Literally told me to log out and relog to avoid the cannons.
The spawns are set when the projector reeactivates if nothing spawns when you run by it never will. That why you see so many active now people run by see no spawn then keep going leaving it as is. Until its been used and reset it will not spawn aether. They also only have a fifty fifty chance of being trapped.
Well that was also a follow up to a bug report in which they said they were investigating the ach. Prolly should have mentioned that.
This is a response I got back after asking for a clarification. So hopefully some changes come

The achievement Personal Space unlocks if you avoid Horrik’s area attack while fighting him. This means that during your fight with Horrik and Mai Trin, you need to avoid all the area attacks that Horrick does. You can be hit with the direct attacks, as this doesn’t count, and you can be hit by them without losing the achievement. We understand that the current description of the Personal Space achievement is creating confusion and we thank you for letting us know. This has to be one of the funnest parts of GW2 I have experienced to date. Its challenging yet not overly difficult, and replace the typical face grind the boss style of prior instances. Now some have been complaining and will continue to complain but as a long time raider coming from WoW i truly missed this kinda of interesting and challenging mechanic. So ANet keep this kinda content rolling and GG.
And for all the people complaining, I have taken several groups with 3+ newbies to this place and we have 1 shot it. All you need to do is get a simple explanation of the boss fights from someone who knows them, listen and do what they say and its a breeze. Yea so I have had to take 2-3 minutes typing out the phases of each fight, but when we 1 shot each fight it makes it all the more worth it, heck my last group which had 3 newbies to this was able to finish the last boss and get most of the achs.
So have fun learn the fights and enjoy a instance that actually has some thought put into it.
Its fun watch people complain about this fight, i personally enjoyed it. To many people are used to face rolling the other places atm that when something slightly hard comes along it QQ. Learn to look around and dodge. 1 shot this place and we only had 1 go down.
I personally enjoyed this fight greatly, reminded me of my old raider days from other MMOs. Learn to play and stop expecting the game to play for you.
Yup my party just got stuck also, congrats arenanet you still cant do simple coding.

I had to personally get Gaile to read my tickets just to get her to get in touch with the devs to tell them that a thread did exist even after they made a ridiculous claim that there had never been a thread. Thats what has me so annoyed atm. Had they of seen this thread when it started we would be near live with a fix given their ETA.
I get your point and believe me i share the same feelings and thanks to you that the Devs got aware of this tread but what i am saying is lets just give the guys some credit, they are working hard and is no easy task to keep track of thousands of players and bug reports =) but thanks for your efforts mate i appreciate.

Blizzard seems to do a pretty fine job at it, especially when it comes to combat breaking bugs. And they have twice if not more players and wayyyyyy more thread activity. So again there was no excuse for this to have been ignored for so long. The devs making a claim that this thread never existed was just more salt on the wounds because they apparently are not doing their job and reading threads like they say they are.

yea its random as crap, ive spent a fair amount on the gem store but havent gotten it
Yea it seems to be at random, ive spent a far amount on the Gem store and i have yet to get a free one like many others have.
So, after yet another back and forth with Gaile, and making her aware of the fact that this has been reported for 2 weeks now, shes going to let the Devs know about this thread. Its sad that we had to go though 2 weeks of this crap, and me with over a dozen tickets all because the devs that supposedly monitor this forum for bugs cant do their job.
I love this game but sometimes this kinda crap really tests ones patience with a company.
On a side note, she is going to see if she can get a dev to respond to this with a possible time frame on this crap.
We’ll see though, not really holding my breath at this point.
While you were dead were the other players and/or their minions still alive or in a downed state and still engaged with any enemies?
Are you dual wielding with 2 process type sigils? By DW I mean any one hand with an off hand combo.

Try deleting the “Local.dat” located in Documents, under Guild Wars 2.
If not everyone is experiencing this issue, as a technician I can only assume that it’s related to the local settings in some way.
I’m not sure not everyone has this bug. Just not everyone notices it.
It is only noticeable at ranged characters when you use a separate dodge button (not the doubletap to dodge) and dodge into a certain direction (not just pressing the dodge button to dodge backwards).
Everyone of my friends have this bug when I explain it to them, they just didnt notice as they are used to spamming the #1 key on their keyboard.This exactly, I’ve asked guild members & friends about this also, most people tend to double tap to dodge, in fact (shock…horror…) I even found quite a few who say they never use dodge!!!
But from everyone I’ve asked to test this, they have all said the same, that yes it does cancel auto-attack when dodging using a directional dodge with bound dodge key.
I’ve kinda got used now to pressing 1 after a dodge, but this is not the solution, its treating the symptom and not the cause.
This is something that “shouldn’t have broken” with the patch, but with something as massive as this game, changing one thing can affect other seemingly unrelated things as well. As we’ve seen through other players not having noticed this there is also a good chance it went past testers completly too (whats the bet all the testers double tap?), thats why games (and other apps) have beta tests, humans will always find a way of doing something in a way that hasnt been alowed for or tested for already !
Hopefully the reports that the devs dont know of this are missinformed, as I’m pretty sure they are. This thread has plety of replys and the community managers would have to be pretty blind not to have noticed it
So lets keep our fingers crossed that they find the problem, but not so crossed that we can’t press 1 after a dodge in the mean time ;p

I heard back from the devs. They tell me that this bug has not appeared on the forums — Bugs, PvP, or General, nor on Reddit — and they remind me that they check those daily. So again, I would really like you to please post bug reports on the Bugs forum and we will do our best to review, assess, and fix the issue. I specify suggest detailed and concise reports because sometimes someone gets so upset about an issue that he makes multiple threads or starts bumping other threads with comments related to his report, and that makes it hard to find the real bugs.
But, having said that, this IS a real bug. Using the more detailed info you sent in your latest ticket update, the team was able to verify the bug because they could reproduce it using the steps you provided. I cannot be sure when it will be fixed, but it’s in the bug list (I saw it there and I did check), it is under a dev’s eye, and I have confidence it’ll be resolved soon.

Define “meager damage”. You have to do a certain amount of damage to go over a “threshold” that allows you to receive credit for a NPC or event. You may have simply done far to little damage to have “tagged” the event.

It’s not something we can fix, they have said they are able to reproduce it at their end, it’s a legit bug, please don’t try and confuse the case.
LOL so this is great. Now according to my last ticket, the devs that watch the forums for bug posts claim that this bug report was never posted, didn’t exist, nada nil zilch this thread is a figment of our imagination. They claim they have never even seen a post regarding this bug.
Now im just flat out flabbergasted at this point GG Arena Net.
This post has existed for over 10 days, I have personally linked 2 other threads with this bug to this one to keep it the main thread. Their mods even MERGED it, and they claim they never saw a report about it on the forums.
Yea no. I’ve been playing MMOs for over 10 years and whenever there’s been a bug that breaks one of the core parts of the game, combat in this case, its been fixed within 48 hours. The fact that it has been over a week with no fix or communication is deplorable. What ever they changed they need to either fix or push a partial rollback on the code that they changed.
Now they are saying that they are still working on it and that they have no clue as to when it will be fixed.
So we’re back to square one now with a bug that completely breaks combat for a lot of folks. And they just seem to shrug it off as something minor. Gg ANet
This is begin to get extremely frustrating now that this has been allowed to persist for over a week now. Not only has it not been fixed but you’d think a bug as big as this we could at least get some direct communication from ANet in this thread instead of having to relay information second hand from player to player.
This is a direct quote from Gaile Gray to me in one of my tickets about this. To me this sounds like it should have been fixed on live.
“I’ve also passed over your comments/concerns about Dodge Roll. My inquiry to the folks who focus on skills resulted in a note that we recently updated this skill and that it should be working as intended. If you have information to the contrary, may I ask that you update this ticket with details of what is not functioning properly?”
So this is why I am still pressing this because its still clearly not fixed.

Aight, I spoke to someone again last night and they said that the information they got back from the skills people was that is was supposedly fixed and should be working properly.
For me this is still not the case and auto-attack still cancels on dodge or attempting to dodge with insufficient endurance.
Can those that have been experiencing this bug please test now and see if they to are still broken? Please test both when your at full endurance and can perform the dodge roll and when you are out of endurance and simply hit the dodge key-bind with out rolling to see if they both stop your auto attacks.

I am still waiting for an explanation regarding this matter.
Just as an update. I have gotten a reply back from the support team. Apparently the devs are aware of this issue and are working on a fix. They did not give any sort of time frame. They are also aware of this thread and will post here if they come up with anything.
So for now we have to wait.

Do get back to us after an hour or so of playing, and if possible dodge more than is strictly necessary. :P
If it’s still fine after an hour, I’d wager it can be considered a permanent fix.
Its wasn’t fixed, reread it, It only works for a few dodges then it bugged out again, so its something getting corrupted.
More information, after uninstalling and re installing the game last night, it appeared to have fixed it, that was at least for the first 2 or 3 dodges. After that it has bugged out yet again.This appears to be some sort of corruption in the key binds section of the code.
After a bit of testing this occurs when using any type of key bind to dodge. Using double tab or clicking the endurance bar allow auto attacks to continue upon completion of a dodge roll. Also repair the gw2 game didn’t resolve the issue.

I just started getting this bug also, My flamethrower and pistol 1 skills break off the moment i dodge, really annoying to play atm.
Noticed this when I was leaving the trading forum area.
When standing facing towards the waypoint while right outside the trade building the models and skybox kinda just vanish.
Pretty much this, got some weird error saying my trial account didnt have access to something then it kicked me off.
Who spilled the coffee?
1 server handles all the “instances” put to many instances on it and it will slug it down.
Its because everyone and their mother is doing atm most likely.
Just got this, best way to get it is to lure every one to you, then charge right at the karkas.
wiped all of them out in 1 swoop last game. Not hard just have to wait for the karkas to get in a group.
