Forget one thing. We dont want ppl to just wondering around doing nothing but their own jumping puzzle. I dont see the point at all to put jumping puzzle in WvW map. (Also please remove its archivement from WvW season too)

Please no. Specific timing balance will give unfair advantage/disadvantage to some servers resulting in much drama and it wont solve a thing but to make the queue time worse. You need to look at bigger picture.

What make ppl compete all the time? → When they know they still have chance to win? → less than 10k score gap on each server to be maintain

How to help 2nd/3rd servers to compete with leading server? → MORE INCENTIVES → Meaning more PPT gain if you hit 1st server, More WXP gain if you capture 1st server stuff.

2nd server always in the edge of success as the leading server will always suppress the 2nd while the 3rd server now acting as Kingmaker. 3rd server can choose to screw 2nd server because it’s easier for them to capture etc. With the new score system revised, they now have more motivated to gang the leading server with 2nd server. Making the score competitive til friday. This is how you solve the wvw attendance in long run.

In my view regards to WvW;
At the moment WvW really design to be 24/7 means you need all NA/EU/Oceanic/SEA to be on the same server to provide the best coverage and you need at least 2 similar coverage server to compete.

My proposal:
1) Combine all lower tier/small servers into one. There is no point to have empty battlefield on those lower tier servers. I knew they said they’re fine but when you compare a full total 90ppl map play with total 20ppl map play. It’s huge difference.
2) Logically you need at least 6 servers to be almost on the same level of coverage to provide fun and competitive for ppl with variety in league. (At the moment we only have 2-3). Thus reduce down server numbers to 6 is the best way.
3) Give ppl free transfers during the server merge so that they can choose where they want to be
4) Provide “graphical data” of queue time and WvW population for each server at each timezone so that ppl will based that into their mind
This way you will get healthier WvW atmosphere with 6 servers with similar coverage into one league.

Also provide more mechanic like:
1) When you hit a top score server, it give you more WXP. Thus incentives for 2nd or even 3rd scored server to hit the 1st. This will make sure 2v1 ganking tend to be at the winning server meaning it will tight the score gap make it competitive throughout the week.
2) AoE cap, this limit so much meta at the moment. Ppl will just clump up and take less dmg, move as a mega blob. This eliminate so many potential tactics. So please rethink this. Make AoE cap higher so that there will be more penalty when you clumb up together as megablob.
3) WvW overflow map is really good idea so that you at least have some places to do something while waiting for the main map.
4) Keep tagging. It’s so annoy when you have someone (only one) hidden in the keep or scout just one to tag the keep then you unable to warp. I think you need more than 1 ppl to tag the keep will make it harder and devise more complex gameplay
5) Rally. Rally is very bad mechanic. And it also give mega blob a main reason to be the only meta. Remove it will make ppl to rethink of the tactic more. Small numbers with better position and tactic will have more chance to beat the big blob of zerg. We’re bored with the same “STACK UP ON ME” tactic. Just REMOVE RALLY, fix a lot of things.

Totally agreed that the matchup schedule is kinda bullkitten. Dunno who come up with an idea of 7 matches with a random factor? JQ definitely get a much easier matchup handed. Yes it doesnt guarantee JQ’s going to win because it’s also depend on BG/SoR but they definitely gain upper hand miles away due to how the matchup made.

Most of the league in this world has a fixed system where everybody gotta meet each other. If 7 matches dont work for you and for us, make it more Anet.

We’re still in need of Oceanic/SEA/EU WvW Guilds
It’s not too late to join us for the gold league!

Thing is, if you join SoR/JQ, you will get queued kitten all map (esp if the league begin so more population returns) even during Oceanic/SEA/EU. However the strong advantage of BG is that we’re tier1 material with great community, just we now lacking Oceanic/EU population to compete with the top2 stacked servers.

So please consider Blackgate as your new home and let’s bring the real fight to others!

You’ll need one of your opposition to work together with you when you’re dealing with huge imbalanced coverage at any particular timezone to catch them up.

Making score closely even until the last day will provide loads of actions for all, thus fun stuff for everyone

Hello Darx,

Much respect to MUSA. Muscles worked really hard in SOR. As most of the hardcore guild leaders have mentioned, Muscles would tag up and do his best to lead in EB where other commanders would not.

But as stated earlier by astute observers, Tarkus was one of the key leaders of MERC in OCN/SEA and hence BG Oceanic/SEA. He along with a hardcore MERC group formed the nucleus of an effective float team that gave BG its main PPT. BG still has a great population of OCN but without strong leadership it’s really hard to rally the militia.

Why does there so much fuss on MERC transferring to JQ? MUSA went to JQ too but no one is talking about it. For all I know they might be the one contributing to JQ score.

There are not a lot of Oceanic population in BG beside Noc/Res/MERC and usually Noc/Res run 20+ max while MERC used to run 30+. The rest are actually SEA. I have to admit that MERC is our main core Oceanic and with strong leadership Tarkus/Ralikh provided it’s our strong key PPT as you said. [That’s why the PPT, now JQ getting 300+ instead of splitting half half BG/JQ. SoR also having loads of Oceanic lately]

Still we gained a bit of old guilds back in SEA with additional one great EU guild joined thus the BG PPT still intach. But if you weigh the population pound to pound with SoR and JQ (now), we’re really in dire need of Oceanic/EU population to compete. The thing that able to keep us on par with JQ/SoR now is that JQ getting stronger thus now JQ/SoR is now battling each other more and they are racing for first instead of BG being pwn by one strong server. (like last week vs SoR vs TC is prime example of the lack of coverage on BG side after MERC departed off)

Just want to drop a quick compliment to Blackgate. We’re from [Thai] (or [LP] in WvW now). We moved to Blackgate ever since BG still in tier4 months ago and fighting with BG ever since. Now we even solidified our GW2 thai community in Blackgate and they (BG ppl) really treat us well and respect us eventhough we’re PvX guild.

Fighting from Oceanic – SEA – EU timezone, all i can say is Blackgate has a real fighting spirit with great commanders around. The smaller guilds always real helpful and coordinated. Even when there was a toughest time, we will still stand and fight against all the odds and outnumbers. We will never give up and that’s where the nickname “Beastgate” come from.

Recently our server also just got the world first Teq dragon so we’re not just about WvW but also provide solid PvE experience for you guys as well. I’m sure you wont regret joining Blackgate. Both for PvE and PvP (WvW).

PS: We’re in needed Oceanic/SEA/EU WvW guilds. Definitely there is no queue at all on those timezone on weekday, that’s for sure!

Its true that some of MERC has left for there own reasons but there is still a large amount of them that have decided to stay on BG. This will only be a speed bump, we are still strong and united. Not all servers are interested in fighting the BG blobs all the time.

JQ got sick of it, TC is sick of it. Honestly, SoR would probably be sick of it if they weren’t used to it from T2 and is mostly full of stubborn diehard people.

But BG finally got what they’ve always wanted, un-competitive wins.

People on SoR are sick of it too… don’t think we aren’t.

SORs issue stems from the fact that SoRs SEA is not logging in. You need proof, just check the matches a month ago: the Oce/Sea timezone clearly shows SoR maintaining a steady, significant lead. Blackgate’s response? Just show up and fight. Same goes for EU. We have not acquired a massive, game-changing guild.

That factors in JQ and Waha. If we want to compare just BG and SoR to each other this is the best matchup to do so, because DB isn’t as “intrusive” as JQ was.

I’m saying that if we want to compare just BG/SoR, then we should look at a matchup where it’s really just a 1v1, thus meaning that this is the best matchup. If we were looking to the BG/SoR/JQ matchup we would have to factor in JQ, but since I just want to compare BG/SoR, this is the best data.

To be honest, I’m pretty frustrated and soon to be done with this server.

There is no ‘current JQ’, everyone just does their own thing and no one wants to work together. It’s getting old and tiresome.

Waha and ATM’s BS is the the final straw I feel, not just for myself but for a lot of guilds on JQ. Lot of people disagreed with him because trying to break a server is lame first of all as this is just a game(why would you want to do that, it’s malicious and petty) and also it was destroying us in the other timezone because all our SEA would do is focus SoR and it would leave us exposed everywhere else because he would sacrifice everything we owned just to flip SoR’s stuff past 3 weeks. And that’s not even including the countless times he would let BG take our garrison in home BL and hillside in BG while going after SoR garrison.

I don’t know who from SoR kitten ed in Waha’s cheerios but you made him go from an intelligent strategic commander to a hate ridden commander hell bent on destroying SoR while destroying his own server. Congrats, you’re an idiot too.

You just dont think throughly. JQ has no EU so as BG having less EU while SoR clearly have much EU numbers. If JQ SEA focus on BG, SoR will run rampage in EU getting all their keep upgraded, thus when their superior NA come it’s unstoppable for both BG/JQ. Flipping BG’s keep in JQ SEA isnt helping JQ, it’s helpping SoR’s. Plus if Waha clearly aint wandering into BGBL but hitting SoRBL, it’s most unlikely for BG to hit JQ Garrison unless nothing left at all. This is why the score still remain close and competitive.

Also there is no point for u guys to ask him to spend his time too much into borderland just to upgrade all keeps when you have no EU to protect it. He and his guild also need some WvW actions man. So I’ve actually been in WvW this week when it has ticked at that level but I apparently don’t know what I’m talking about. If you actually read the graph 3 times this week we have been between 30 and 80PPT which suffices for my purpose seeing as I didn’t say we were exactly at 50 PPT.

And other nights it’s ticking for over 400. That point swing just doesn’t magically happen. We know Wednesday night oce and sea didnt show up due to lag and let BG take everything. So with one night we know what happened and why the ppt was so low, I would judge the other 2 was something similar. Telling us what your ppt is when you dont come out and fight isn’t proving a thing. We all know what ya’ll are capable of.

SoR SEA time consists of NYS and SAHP. So yeah when they are not doing an event on a day our PPT dives. BG needs to stop pretending like we are stacked during SEA. Our Oceanic consists of HIRE and late night NA. Again…..stop pretending like that timezone is stacked.

Sigh… I hate to be participate in but too tempting. SoR isnt stack on SEA? Wrong! You pulled the entire map zerg which lag the hell out of all the kitten.

I redact my statement about TFV, the TFV I saw was a dual repping SONG guild member, sorry for dragging TFV’s name into this thread, but the causality is always there, every week BG has won since the last JQ victory SoR has received a new guild.

I wouldn’t be surprised MagiKarp… They’re more than likely trying to get a new guild. SoR NEVER ticks below 30PPT unless it’s on purpose.

Not long ago we saw two 50+ map SoR zergs (NYS/HIRE/SONG) doing nothing but open field combat chasing handful of us in JQBL while letting all their keeps on other bls fall. I even recorded how many of them but im too lazy to upload lol.

There is also 0/0/20/20/30 which u dump 20 into earth to get rocksolid which give u and allies stability. Stability really help you and your team esp u run with boon duration runes so that whenever you swap to earth ur 5 ppl get 4sec stability every 8sec which is soo awesome. I do think 0/0/20/20/30 now is the tread for WvW zerg train meta.

It’s also depend on how u play ur character in WvW. Do u stack closely to cmd and run as a blob? Do u tend to stand away and fire stuff from a far? U gear all powprecrit or powvittough or a mixture? Many things need to be right mix for both trait and gear and playstyle. You get what i mean.

Blackgate (Tier1 NA) really looking for EU commander. Right now we have our favorite EU guilds, HB and RK running around during the timeslot. Our EU PUGs really need good EU commander. (Those guilds as well as if you’re looking forward to join one)

Recently SoR just got KISS and IRON from EU thus there are plenty of zerg from the opposition servers. Blackgate really need one EU commander to fight and help BG in tier1 NA against all the odds.

We have center Teamspeak with forum www.blackgatewvw.com. The communication between timezone SEA→EU→NA is already there, just needing someone like you who can step up and lead during EU.

@Azure, lol. You need to get that number on the chart right. Completely bias toward your arguement benefit. We arent having that many. Thai run casually now and has no more than average of 5-15 on SEA at anyday unless allcall once in a bluemoon. And on EU we usually have like 5 being pugs follow other cmds.

BG only has a small group of MERC that stay awake (10-15), RK (10-20), and then HB on a night or two. (15-30 themselves, but Smokee and Orc draw tons of pugs to their tags).

It’s really not that large of coverage in comparison to what SoR has.

Really? Don’t forget all those people that pull overtimes. I see them every evening on EU time and I see what happens when I lead a havoc. You have more people available for guarding a yak as we can put into a borderland.
Without our Asian or Sea pulling massive overtimes, we can’t even get a treb built.
So, I really don’t care if it’s “only” 60 people we face.
Sure, SoR is the new fotm server and they can send more numbers than you, but it’s not a great difference if you meet 50 people on the field or 100 when your own group is about 15-20.

Do you BG guys ever complain about your dominance in oceanic and Sea times…..nah did not think so. You are dominant in certain times, we have coverage in others.

Also the times last week when i saw bg and jq zergs standing next to one another not fighting was laughable, especially in EB. Seeing two sides either side of the bridge outside Langor with no intention of fighting each other last week was a bit embarrassingly low from you lot.

Basically if you are going to make agreements throughout a week to focus SoR then ofcourse we will need a way to combat this. Jq seem happy to be bg’s lil kitten, so be it.

He’s talking about the last two nights at Langor. I was with that train. Poor JQ group invaded Langor while IRON massive guild zerg of 50 was about to hit them. Our cmd decided to save those JQ and screw IRON up just to have fun. (Open field combat! not that we 2v1 pwning their keeps for hours) Now they’re complainting like madman that we 2v1 them LOL.

And yes JQ has no solid EU guilds to cover their groud. I would be glad to see KISS join JQ but no in fact they joined SoR, lol. Good lord. Enjoy EU PvDoor and the balance you officially screwed up until new sizeable WvW EU guilds decide to choose either JQ or BG to balance things up number wise.

We’ve never double teamed. if it seems like it, it’s because 2 servers have been attacking the weakest target, but not agreeing to teaming up or avoiding to fight each other. now, however, bg and jq zergs stand on each side of a tower/keep. one server keeping reinforcements off and the other one attacking said tower/keep. Then when the two zone blobs run in to eachother, they don’t attack eachother but actually stop and back paddle away from eachother. It’s pretty kitten obvious. We can see it, you know we can see it and you still deny it. it’s rich. but then you need to do it obviously since we destroy you so easily in fair fights. Thought fair fights seem hard to get anymore since the only time you ever come out to fight us is when you have at LEAST twice our numbers. We usually wipe you anyways.
Just a few minutes ago we wiped in hero’s on bg bl. we were 8 people and you had at least 40. we said “f it” and charged anyways. we almost wiped you, but the constant rallying did us in. it’s actually quite funny how little it takes before most of you are turned into dorritos

Thanks to RG though, they’re always hard and fun to fight and rarely back down from fighting no matter the odds. Now when they’re moving, we’ll prolly mostly be fighting arrows raining down from behind walls.

I’ve run with them several times when I couldn’t sleep or woke up too early and they are generally excellent in the open field. When Amarathy isn’t running to the microwave for meat pies anyways.

why would i ask them? i am in EU time, and i see MERC from the beginning to the end, they say they play for PTT, and i saw they are terrible at open field, now that might be cuz they maphop alot and lose actual MERC members while doing it, but thats something they need to work on.

Because you know nothing jon snow. MERC is mainly Oceanic guild, their EU portion is just one commander with a handful of players incomparable to Oceanic timezone. If you want to see how real MERC running, i suggest you start playing earlier.

No it’s not. SoR has done it anyone can do it as well. We are talking about large guilds and not individual players. The leaders of such guilds are level headed and looking for a challenge so they would listen to what the servers have to say because in the end they want to be welcomed there and to be part of the community. It is amusing to think otherwise.

I don’t see how that refutes my point, and everyone has turned away transfers at this point. BT and IRON did their research, neither SoR or BG had final say on their transfers.

Any guilds looking to transfer to T1 can ascertain on their own the strength of each server. MOS is brilliant that way. It’s JQ’s responsibility to appeal to potential tranfers, if they want any, in the community sense.

I have not heard of any guilds that were turned down by BG and/or recommend them to join a different server. Please do not take this the wrong way but, unfortunately, beyond explanations or excuses it reflects the server image and it is only up to BG to change that or not.

Some of this is caused by guilds who started bleeding long before they decided to move to BG. The move just put the nail in the coffin. Had they moved sooner, they may have survived. Had they not moved, they may have survived. The thing is, however, it became a almost ritualistic occurrence on BG, hence the nickname the Black hole.

D.) Continuing to recruit guilds, when they already have proper coverage

Start sending all guilds that approach you to JQ/TC and that name will go away, but until then we will all continue to call your server The Black Hole.

Please dont assume we’re not turning down guilds when we in fact been doing that for certain NA guilds at the first place. However guilds still moving beyond our recommendation by their own choices and we wont stop that. The fact that we dont gloat here on forum about it doesnt mean we’re not doing it.

I still remember see JQ keep recruiting and keep bumping their thread when they’re reign No1 leading BG/SoR by miles months ago just to give you an example. SoR also able to attract many guilds during their no1 reign on top with very high status while others been full weeks ago. They have good portion of WvWer compared to PvE.

Beside we’re not going to care much about being called Blackhole lol. At least it’s better than some previous BG nickname.

DB is able to hold their foot grounded on the map they’re chosen to field ppl in.

Nope what i ment by playing with DB mean playing against DB this week. Thai people have their community established in Blackgate server already [e.g. Thai,SIAM,MW,Coco,etc all in BG] thus there is no way we’re going to move out of our home.
