Because a redpost here is something that can be used for future reference, I can link someone to it, like someone did previously to show that Anet is okay with using macros to play musical instruments in towns.

Which class is the most efficient at killing the thing on top? As a thief I run out of initiative with clusterbomb b4 I can even kill it.

Staff ele using water #2 couple of times then earth #2 and it should be done or engineer going rocket turret toolbelt, freeze grenade, big old bomb and few bomb kit autoattacks takes it out in few seconds.

Threw about 1000g of exotic staves into the forge and got nothing. I also threw rare staves into the forge for a couple of months, never got anything. I also threw about 200g of greatswords into the forge to get nothing.

I ended up that I wont make the staff and bought 4 precursors until now. I never had any precursor drops in my 2.5k hours playtime.

If it’s any consolation it took me 4,4k hours and roughly 1200g to get my one and only precursor and even that was just a torch. Now rolling closer to 7k hours and 8 bought precursors and still only got that one torch.

I really wish necros would have a decent role in PvE. By far my favorite light armor class but there’s just no point using it outside of casual lvl 20 fractal fun runs.

It is not bannable since 1 click on the scroll wheel is equal to 1 click on the mouse button thus it doesn’t break the rule of 1 action per button press rule. Mousewheel just allows you to click at a much higher rate.

For the record, I have no issues with LoS or stacking, but I do support all weapons and playstyles being viable choices.

But they are already viable solutions, they might not be optimal but they are still viable for clearing any content in this game.

You can get Ectos from salvaging them, like any other level 80 Rare. I salvaged 2 spare Shoulders after Echoes of the Past; got 5 Ecto out of them.

Or end up like me and only get leather sections for salvaging excess shoulders. :S

Or get rid of the gemstore bit and actually put content/armors/skins behind rewarding in-game content instead of shoving everything behind a price tag.

While I would love to see more sylvari armor I’d really hate to see them put into the gemstore.

You can get as little as 2.4 silver for a champ bag if you get one t5 leather, a 1.32 silver masterwork equipment, and a low coin drop.

More often than not they’ll be worth less than 10 silver. Based on my own research, you average one T6 material about every 11 bags (when opening several hundred). So even heavy moldy bags tend to be better in that regard.

The absolute max you can get would be whatever the highest selling collectible exotic is worth (probably crustacea/arthropoda which only drop from certain bags), plus an exotic with a strength rune in it, and a charged lodestone. Your chances of that happening are probably no better than getting a precursor drop.

Actually they can probably drop precursors themselves too, but I’ve not heard of that actually happening for anyone.

I got my one and only precursor drop from a champion bag in fractals.

It’s actually a bug with listing items. Afaik if you try to list something at the lowest sell offer and it gets sold during that time it will be posted as a buy offer at that same price.

I think they fixed that a few patches ago. I only remember because some poor guy sold a dusk or something for like 5s, not realizing they patched it xD

That’s a different issue altogether. You used to be able to ignore the listing fees by listing your item as low as possible and it would sell to the highest buy order and ignore listing fees completely. But here some poor person probably tried to list his items and ended up posting a massive buy order by accident.

From a gameplay perspective, the Bountiful consumables could be quite valuable to an Ele or Guardian. Could see it becoming the “meta” for dungeons or WvW. Furious ones probably won’t be as popular since few players run builds that run high Toughness + Critical.

Won’t be “meta” for PvE since +10% outgoing dmg / -10% incoming dmg dungeon potions are always the best choice and the toxic utility consumables with condition duration are better to keep up higher vuln stacks on mobs/bosses.

Fixed a bug that prevented players from assigning, removing, or reassigning healing, utility, or elite skills while in a cosmetic transformation (e.g., during the siege of Ascalon in the Urban Battlegrounds fractal).

Rangers are great, but people who play ranger suck.
Most of the time you’ll get ranger without spotter or FS, and they will camp LB.
So yeah most of rangers will be kicked for that, the thing is, people don’t know ranger can be good, so they won’t bother checking if the ranger has a sword and the required utilities.

“The required utilities” – required? Who requires it? Last I checked, people can play their class any way they like. Don’t try to be an elitist in a casual game, kthx.

A ranger without spotter or FS is the same as a warrior without banner, a guard without a wall, and a mesmer without feedback and TW.
It’s not about being elitist, it’s about being useful to the team.
A ranger can play nomad, same as thief, but they will be useless.

A warrior without banners can trait Phalanx and give everyone 25 might just with 1 skill of his greatsword (either whirlwind or 100blades). It takes 1-2 seconds and can be done at every single pull of enemies ane every 8 seconds, making fire-blasting or other might-stacking skills useless. Other players can just focus on different skills or utilities because they won’t ever need to build up might, the warrior alone would give 25 stacks and maintain it for everyone while the fight lasts.

What is wrong is the fact that some people choose for you what team skills you should use instead of the ones that you think it will be better for the group (as example you just said warriors without banners are useless, even if i just proved how wrong that statement is). In my opinnion Phalanx > Banners 90% of the times. You won’t have maximum warrior DPS but you will make everyone else have a lot more damage than you could ever do alone with different traits.

What is even greater about this build is that phalanx won’t show anywhere. You can’t know if the warrior next to you is traited for that because you don’t see a signet/buff/weapon/anything. Kicking a warrior because you don’t know what his traits are would be incredibly stupid (I hope to not offend anyone). Now change all that I said about warriors for any other proffesion and you will probably find a new game.

By the way, same a guardian wall can block all projectiles, a necromancer with his darkness whell can block all melee hits. I never dare to go to fractal lvl 50 without a good necro in my team. Even level 43 or 33 would be harder without one necromancer.

TL;DR You should never judge anyone just because of the skills they choose to bring to a battle.

Depends on groups. PUG runs wary from 45min to 2-3 hours and my guild runs from ~20min to max 1hr.

What’s the point of interrupting the dogs retal cast when it only goes to a 3 second cooldown and then just casts it again and again until you run out of CC.

I don’t get it – I’ve spent 2 hours in this new area and I stood all the time defending a fort. I got around 100 bags, and after opening them I got loads of useless stuff. Maybe a few rares. No exotic, no t6 mats… Salvaged light Armor, vendored the rest. Made about 15g by selling everything on the tp.
I literally don’t understand what’s so good about this “farming”… By doing my daily dungeon runs (full AC+CoF 1-2) I get the same amount of gold in half the time.

The amount of ascended materials is a godsend to those who do not like to do particular content. I’m mainly a fractal runner who doesn’t enjoy doing world bosses thus I end up with stacks and stacks of bloodstone dust and empyreal fragments but no dragonite at all. This farm allowed me to get roughly 80 draconian ingots that will allow me to craft several ascended armor pieces / weapons without having to spend hours upon hours doing content that I do not enjoy. And besides the money from the champ bags is pretty decent when you factor in everything you get.

As far as I know the daggers that fly out of the daggerstorm will not be affected by incinerator but when used inside a combo field the combo bolts flying from it will be animated.
