There should still be at least one in Black Citadel. Last I saw him was about a week ago.
Hmmm.. Guardian bunker with 30k hp, sounds balanced allright.
As a colorblind person this simple change was one of the best things that have happened in a long time, now I can actually see and react to stuff before it blows my face off.
And I also agree that it should be toggleable for those who preferred the old style.
If you are having troubles with WP costs then I’d suggest you to tale a little time to think about what you spend your money on.
3 lvl 80 events is enough to cover your expenses to travel anywhere on the map and if you for example mine few nodes or kill few mobs you’ll have more than enough to use the waypoints.
Retaliation dmg should scale based on the dmg done so one big hit would suffer as much as multiple small hits. As it is retaliation is horribly broken towards everyone that uses AoE.
RNG is RNG, bought 20 boxes and got 2 tickets, mini Kasmeer and some random skins.
Anet would have made more money if they had just put a ticket to the store with 1k gem price tag.
Colourblind here and loving the change. Might actually be able to see Lupi’s pewpew lasers.
Good luck getting the Lair Light foot achievement with a ranger. Tried it 5 times as a ranger and just switched to my alt and did it on the first try.
Wait for a while and see what tomorrows patch brings. I tend to buy stuff that is there only for a limited time so I won’t regret not getting it later.
Backpieces work but the shoulders will get covered up.
This forum UI is so horrible at times.
But thank you RainbowSyrup, I just found myself a new wallpaper.

Noticed a similar occurrence while doing the Snowstorm fractal. At the last boss when he ports down my Jaguar just stood there (while being on aggressive) until I pressed F1.
And the after the last patch the general responsiveness just feels a bit different. Weird pathing, not attacking and stuff like that.
1. Get a fractal capacitor with the stats you want.
2. Upgrade it to Ascended.
3. Transmute it to the tentacle monster.
4. ???
5. Profit!!!!
At this moment our only choices are either TA or the cultural armors. I really hope we get some new Sylvari themed gear in the future, the back piece flower was a good start.
And also the southsun boxes drop karka shells, passion flowers and passion fruits.
20 crates and 2 weapon skins, 1 mini Kasmeer, 1 portable mystic toilet, couple different skins. Worth it to convert nearly 90g to gems for these boxes.
By some twist of sick irony I think I’m meant to play Ranger. After discussing this I decided to try my stupid luck in the MF and on my 2nd batch of level 75 rares, after playing since pre-release I got Leaf of Kudzu! I need to finalize a solid build now
it’s official, becoming a ranger!
You lucky kitten, I’ve thrown about 4-500 self carfted/bought rares and got like 8 useless exos…
Spear skill #3 Dart actually gives your pet 4 seconds of swiftness, this isn’t even listed on the tooltip.
After 1k hours of being a female Sylvari ranger I thought it would be nice time to have a little change.
After being a female Sylvari for 1k hours I decided it’s time for a little change. So one Makeover kit later and endless hours of dyeing here’s the end result.
Here’s what I’ve ended up in wearing. (Mind you my character used to be a lady with these exact same clothes which also looked good.)
Head: Order of Whispers Hood
Shoulders: T2 Nightshade
Chest: T3 Firstborn
Gloves: T2 Nightshade
Legs: T3 Firstborn
Boots: T3 Firstborn
With the addition of Rox’s Quiver on the back and an Order of Whispers Longbow.
For me the 1h sword is pure PvP weapon, in PvE dungeons and other content where you might get one shotted because you missed your dodge by 0.5 seconds because of that rooting is a no go. But in PvP the sword is excellent for staying up close and personal with your opponent .
That’s crazy. His attacks don’t do enough damage to actually threaten anyone; “launch you into lava and make you burn to death” is the one thing that makes him dangerous
Two things:
1. That’s the idea, the guys seem to be bent on putting CoF as the babbymode dungeon, might as well as make p3 faceroll as well.
2. By safety net I mean something that teleports your dead body to a place where you can be ressed, like destroyer. Now, I haven’t run CoF3 in QUITE a while so I’m not sure if that’s implemented already.
Did the p3 for Dungeon master title about 4-6 weeks ago and it teleported everyone who died in the lava to a safer spot on the edges.
Look kitty, I got a yarn ball. Go play with it.
Jaguar is the best burst dmg pet in our disposal. With 25 stacks of might from RaO, signet of the hunt, signet of the wild and the Jaguars f2 stealth I’ve been able to reach +10k hits. Granted this was in PvE land against world bosses but it goes to show just how much dmg we can put out with a good build.
You see, the deep sea dragon’s tentacles have smaller tentacles and those tentacles have even smaller tentacles.
Japan called, they want their Dragon back.
Wait wat, Twilight Arbor hard?
It takes about 45min to 1h for my usual group to finish all 3 paths, even with 2-3 puggies. Condi removals, thiefs and bouncing projectiles make the dungeon way easier.
Loving every minute of my time in-game.
Have dragons spawn randomly 3 times a week. Fights take half an hour at minimum. Have loot dropped be exotic at the minimum.
There. Epic dragon fights.
And end up in an overflow and curse that others get free loot and you were left out.
Yet another case of I want everything and I want it now.
wolf f2 howl needs to be looked at! cant activate it right away after swapping to the pet
You can activate it but your pet will run to your current target and then start the skill.
Rangers in WvW jumping puzzles are mean. Killed several players by knocking them off the cliff.
In before haters…
Anyway, I’ve been playing a ranger ever since BWE2 and not in a million years would I consider using any other profession as my main. Every mmo/game that I’ve played I have hallways picked the ranged/petmaster class. I like the idea of having my own personal tank/bodyguard while I sit back and pewpew the enemy.
If I remember correctly I got it from Laurent at the end of F/F path, but I tend to run full TA every day so I might be a bit wrong.
Swoop on the greatsword has the highest direct damage, so try and see what kind of numbers you get with that.
Actually the GS Maul has the highest direct damage available to the ranger, it got a slight buff in the latest patch.
A mixture of TA, whispers and cultural tier 2&3.
Head – Whispers Hood (not visible right now)
Shoulders – Tier 2 cultural
Torso – Tier 3 Cultural
Gloves – Twilight Arbor
Leggings – Twilight Arbor
Shoes – Twilight Arbor
What I meant was that you can transmute higher level gear to your low level character pretty freely, only restriction that I have noticed was that I couldn’t transmute the T2 cultural light to my starter armor.
As an example you could transmute a legendary weapon to a lvl 5 weapon and use it pretty much as soon as you start.
(Sorry if my earlier post was confusing. Was in a bit of a hurry and I’m not a native English speaker.)
You can use transmutation stones to get that cultural armor for your lower tier character, I’ve been doing this with my necromancer ever since lvl 5. She’s now at lvl 30 looking fine and fancy with the T2 cultural light armor.
If I have the gold to buy T2 cultural armor and the transmutation stones, would I still not be prevented from using the transmuted armor on a character who does not meet the cultural armor level requirement? Or does this restriction go out the window if I keep the stats on the base armor (i.e., the piece to which the cultural appearance is being applied) when performing the transmutation?
If you just apply only the skin to your previous armor it should use the same level requirement as the base armor that you had previously. Although I’m not 100% sure but if I remember correctly I wasn’t able to transmute the cultural skin to the starter armor that you get after finishing the introduction instance.
And it would be great if Anet changed the cultural armors to be just skins without any lvl restrictions that you could just apply to a piece of armor. (similar to the Hall of Monuments skins)
Jumping from the top of Mount Maelstrom racks about 400-500k dmg if I’m not terribly wrong.
Kholer is boring, not hard.
Kholer’s actually very hard for a lot of people who dont know how to dodge :>
You could have just said that this game is hard for those who don’t know how to dodge…

Don’t rush it, game has been out for seven months now.
I’d rather have them focus on the class balance and technical performance before working on cosmetics and vanity items.
Am I doing it right?
(Both of the recipes dropped in the span of 2 hours)
You can go to the PvP area and preview every ingame armor trough the armor lockers.
While this won’t help you find where you can get them but it can help you find the skin you are looking for and then just ask from people ingame or come back here to the forums.

It is bugged. Whenever you go down on a slope (stairs etc.) the pet won’t be able to res you.
I can’t read your post because your username is covering the text… ;_;
Its that female face that has that split down the middle
Exactly what I was thinking, the dark contrast makes it hard to see but cheekbones and eyes give it away… After all I’ve spent nearly 700 hours watching that same face.
Female #3, #9 and #10
Even the local Quaggan family came to see Toymaker Tixx.
it’s official, becoming a ranger!
