Or just you know, get decent gear so you can tag the mobs.
Champ farm trains are fine, they give the farmer players something to do without disturbing the rest of the people out on the world.
Reaching 300% mf is going to take about 3 million luck so I’d say you won’t have to worry about reaching it any time soon.
Seems like the only subforum devs read these days are the living story and sPvP forums.
As for this bug, annoying as hell. Had a few fights within the last week where I couldn’t stomp the enemy in time because the transformation was active.
Same here, both on the home computer and cellphone.
Nightmare hound with AoE torment on it’s F2 skill.
Yet the projectiles and footprints are still bugged.
Sometimes when you fire the projectile appears to be a mini kudzu for a brief moment then turns into the real projectile.
And when you walk a mini kudzu spawns under your feet for a very short time.
Still sucks that the forage skills have their own CDs, 120 sec on skull fear is not cool.
I think they patched that. Can someone confirm?
Happened yesterday while toying in fractals with a boar and a warthog. Got two skulls in row and had the 120sec CD on and after 30 sec of holding the skull it disappeared from my hand.
Still sucks that the forage skills have their own CDs, 120 sec on skull fear is not cool.
First of all than you for the fix. But as a person who didn’t receive this item on the 25th it just seems kinda unfair that others get a secondary exp scroll and birthday boosters.
I’m currently using runes of the ranger so I can reach roughly 95% crit chance with fury, spotter and sigil of perception. And by running double drakes (or devourers) I will have the +5% dmg boost pretty much all the time.
Scholar is pretty gimmicky since you need to be able to stay above 90% hp in order for them to be more effective than the ruby orbs.
On the same boat, created my char as soon as the servers opened up on the 25th and still no sign of the present.
Don’t know about you guys but I’m very happy having ~70% crit chance with fury and proccing bleeds from the trait and sigil.
This is what it looks like from my end:
lol @ ’we’ll never make it!’ when she’s low on HP with 6 minutes left.
There was a funny moment this morning on Crystal Desert in Timberline Falls when one of the Twisted Champions was stuck up in a tree. We ended up giving up on it because it kept regaining it’s health (a mender maybe? or resetting?).
Either way, it made me giggle.
They leash, forever, and reset their health. However with enough ranged attackers you can actually burn them down; they never seem to go invul.
Why bother, the loot will drop up in the tree.
AoE loot is your friend.
This is why we can’t have nice things. Anet gave us a huge event where we could finally works as a server outside of WvW and farmbots like you come and ruin it for the rest of us.
Nightmare hound that has F2 skill that applies 1-2 stacks of AoE torment for 10 seconds. :P
One thing to make jormag more rewarding would be to introduce drops on the champions that spawn in the event
This would only lead to people camping the champions instead of attacking the Claw.
Sidewinder X4 and Steelseries Kinzu. Nice and simple for my needs.
My norn warriors T3 heavy set makes a nice clunky sound when I hop around.
Please tell me how my ranger can blind him…
Stop bashing F maybe perhaps?
Or just bind something like shift as AoE loot and voilá, no more random banner picking and you’ll never miss out on loot.
I did it on a trapper/bm ranger. Axe/torch to keep good chilled and burning on then occasionally swap to SB for an extra evade and cripple + poison, coupled with flame and spike trap to keep constant burning and cripple on.
Full rabid set for tankyness and massive condi dmg.
+1 all the way.
As a colorblind ranger every new living story update has brought new levels of frustration to the game because stupid 1HKO mechanics that are nearly impossible for me to telegraph and also completely nullifies my class mechanic.
But even despite these I managed to beat Liandri last night. Mostly by sheer luck on avoiding the P1 AoEs and the first few AoEs of the second phase.
Got it with a trapper ranger. Used SB&A/D coupled with flame trap, vipers nest and spike trap. Full rabid gear with 0/30/20/0/20 traits and dumped all my condis on it at the start then went on to keep stacking bleeds with my SB while the jaguar kept mauling it.
Bit offtopic, but does this also mean that leveling low level toons by relogging at the end to get the 70% of exp of your current lvl also got nerfed?
After leveling 3 char by normal means I’ve been doing this to get few levels every now and then for my alts.
Now you are comparing zerg warfare to a small scale sPvP combat, both are fundamentally different.
If you compare 1v1 combat in sPvP and WvW you will notice that condi specs are strong in WvW.
Well a good start would be to remove the freaking LoS requirement from it.
Kinda stupid that if you target goes behind a corner with 3 hawks on his head he’s suddenly fine…
To be honest the ranger downed state is probably one of the best there is. We have a stun, pet res (pretty Op in some situations) and we are the only class that has access to their class mechanism even when downed.
And trough our normal class mechanism we have access to pet survival.
30 points into NM and you’ll get Natures Voice, then 10 points to BM and take shout mastery and just spam guard all the time. Nearly 100% swiftness up time with just that, then added effects of WH and runes will give you easy access to 100% uptime.
Thanks for the replies. Can the pvp mats/salvage kit be stored in the pvp locker?
Yes they will automatically go there when you press the deposit all collectables button.
What? Your kudzu shoots baby kudzus? Madness.
Also footsteps are baby Kudzus…
Awesome job Bababu, always nice to see people try out new things despite all the moaning we get to face.
If you activate Signet of the Hunt it’s effect will remain for about 16 minutes so you can have the signet off CD when firing the first shot, as soon as it hits, switch to second LB and pop the signet again for another 12k hit.
Nice one, bit surprised that it went that much over the 10k mark.
But as I said in my earlier post that it is just a fun build to see how big of a crit it’s possible to do.
I was kinda expecting them to fix the pet condi dmg ticks not showing up but hey, guess we can’t have all the nice things at once.
Same thing on Desolation, gives a bit more feeling when you see more then 10 ppl there…
Changed the food to crit dmg food, and checked that with 25 stacks of might it’s possible to get attack rating of 4600 according to the calculator. (might be higher ingame)
(This is more of a theoretical fun build for WvW and not to be taken seriously)
Hmm after seeing this thread I got curious of how much one could actually reach with a single LB auto attack so I did some theorycrafting.
Using full Valkyrie set with runes of the scholar for power and crit dmg and traiting to 30/30/0/10/0 I can reach attack rating of 3825 and crit dmg of 99%.
Now the whole idea would be to charge everything around the opening strike and the superior intelligence to be able to have 2 crits even with the crit chance being at 19%. With the other weapon having the Bloodlust sigil we can get a bit higher with the attack rating and possibly reach the 10k mark when under the effects of the signets and the spirit.
If anyone has a full set of Valkyries and/or is willing to try this out I’d be interested to find out the results.

I got 3 mix and match sets at the moment that I use.
#1, Mix of TA and T2 armor.
#2, T2 with the Thief hood.
#3, T3 with the whispers hood.
Before they changed the AoE circles to what they are now I had even harder time to see AoE (oh boy Lupi was a joy to do back then) luckily the new circles made them more visible.
If they just toned down the reflectiveness of the floor and made it a wee bit darker it would then actually be possible to see where the barrage is going to land.
Nice spoiler dude.
I know how to keep my pets alive, but for example in the Frizz fight pets can’t get on the crates to avoid the laserbeam thus killing them.
Trashmobs are not a problem, I can deal with them easily. But the mortar barrage and Horrics cannon shots are nearly invisible to me.
As a colorblind ranger this dungeon has managed to bring a whole new meaning to the word “frustration”.
First of all I have to say thank you to Anet for making content that is actually hard to do. But due to the amount of AoE spam that is going on there it becomes extremely frustrating since I have virtually zero indication on where the instagib AoEs are going to land.
Also as a ranger it’s impossible to keep my pet alive trough either of the boss encounter since it has no AoE mitigation or any way to dodge/ignore the laser wall and beam.
Also don’t forget that due to the pet leash range being 2000 now you can put your Sic’em on full CD because it’s max range is 3000.
You can avoid the whole wurm area by walking on the ledges and isn’t the whole point of guild missions to have people cooperate?
Why not just send 4-5 dudes to the village to clear a path for the runners?
Don’t forget the fact that the footsteps spawn a mini Kudzu under your feet and whenever you fire it the arrow looks like a mini Kudzu then runs into the actual projectile.
RoF means rate of fire.
12 rich coffers and roughly 200 normal coffers and I’ve got 3 tickets (one from the rich coffers, 2 from normal coffers), lots of foods and zaitaffy and 1 warm potion.
I tried this after getting the clovers, did 3 times the recipe for ten. Came out with 20 clovers and some gossamer scraps >__>
