You’re back to where you were at, but that means you stayed why you were at, even though you took daamage. Right back to where you were is better than lower than where you were. That said, active is only used if you get away from the main fight but are 1 heal away from getting of dots or the range of ranged weapons firing at you.

Don’t get me wrong- I still use Healing Signet. I just don’t use the active heal anymore unless it’s either that, or go down.

It’s just not worth losing the regen for. So, the only time it’s worth using is as a last resort, even if most of the time it doesn’t make enough of a difference. Occasionally it does, and if you’re going down anyway, you don’t lose anything by trying.

Want to make more money selling gems? Offer more and more varied costume items in the gems shop!

Currently, there are 2 full costumes and several “hats” (some of which are glasses, but go in the head slot, so same thing).

What about other single pieces, like shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, and boots? What about a few more full sets?

People don’t go to a clothing store that only has a couple of outfits available. They go where there is a selection sufficient enough that they feel they will find something they like.

I was confused at first too. It’s not in the gem store, it’s in the bank interface itself. If you look under the tab you already have, all the way to the right, there is a lock icon. Click on that (maybe double click, not sure), and you will be given a choice to buy another tab.

Extra bag slots is the same way- it’s in the inventory interface.

Couple of choices. Either mix in a bit of Valkyrie with the Berserker’s to add in the vitality, or maybe consider Warrior’s Runes. Or a combination of those.

There are also somewhat different stats on the gear found in on Karma vendors in Orr, as well as the gear on the dungeon token vendors. It’s possible you could find the stat combo you’re looking for there.

It may also be possible to get different stat layouts from gear from the Mystic Forge, but there’d be no way to guarantee what you got- it would be a crap shoot.

Similarly, there might be some that drops in boss events in Orr, which you might find on the trading post eventually.

By the way, precision IS crit %. The values on the Berserker’s in PvP are power, precision, vitality and crit DAMAGE. So, mixing in one or two pieces of Valkyrie with a set of Berserker’s should give you pretty close to the same stats as the PvP set, but probably not exact.

Really love that heavy set from Fireheart Rise on my human warrior.

Best ways to make money are first to save it.

Don’t buy gear while leveling up. In each zone you go to, check the heart vendor after you complete each heart. They will have some gear that is generally really good for your level, and karma cost is MUCH lower than the karma vendors in the main cities. You may also find some really nice skins on some of them.

Vendor your whites, greens and blues (at least until you are getting level 70+ drops, then some of them will be worth salvaging).

Finally, don’t craft. I know, sounds crazy, right? But is the goal is more money, not crafting and selling your mats will earn you money (for some mats, a LOT of money), while crafting will just cost you money. Now, if you want to craft for the experience gain, it may be worth it, but if you have dreams of crafting things and listing them for sale, you are going to be disappointed.

You know, I wonder how many people use the term “zerg”, understand what it means (accomplishing something with sheer force of overwhelming numbers) but don’t have the first clue where the term originated?

Here’s the story. A lot probably already know that Zerg is one of the playable races in Starcraft and Starcraft 2, but not sure what that has to do with the term. In the early days of Starcraft, one of the most widely used tactics in PvP was to play as Zerg, make a few zergling units (basic melee attack unit- somewhat weak, but could be made twice as fast as other race’s basic units, because each egg produced 2 zerglings, allowing you to make up to 6 zerglings at a time), and destroy your opponent’s base before he could really get started; basically, while he had only a very limited number of non-worker units. I don’t know the exact figures, but it was probably something like a 4 to 1 advantage over the time it took to make marines.

Ironically, it wasn’t necessarily a large number of zerglings- I’ve heard of matches being won with as few as 6. It was really just the fact they you could get a few of them, just enough, to beat your opponent before they could even get two combat units to defend with.

There are tons of MMOs around that use the holy trinity. There is ONE that doesn’t. Why is it so important for you to “fix” the only game that does things differently?

Not to discredit this post – but I see way points as a convenience, you can always go to the mists and tele to Lions arch and portal places for free. Then you are much closer to your place of interest and can waypoint for coppers instead of silvers.

That’s not the point though. The problem is that if enough people see gold as scarce, RMT sales will increase. You can’t change the way other people view things, as much as you might want to.

The OP has a point. The more scarce gold is (or the more scarce it is perceived to be), the more business is generated for RMT. That’s not a commentary on the rightness or wrongness of buying gold, it’s a simple statement of fact. It just doesn’t matter how you or I or anyone else feels about the moral implications of it. Math is amoral.

Me too. Confused about what items it’s worth it to use Mystic/Master kits on, and what items to use lower kits on.

Is it worth it to use Mystic on white, blues, and greens? Only level 80? Only level 7x-80?

Can you get ectos from those, or only from yellows/oranges? What’s the level minimum? What about for ori, gossamer, and ancient? Is it the same as ectos, or different?

Along these lines, when you sell to a buy order, do you still pay the 5% listing fee, or just the 10% tax?

I could check on it myself when I get home, but I’m being lazy. Plus, if no one answers, that’s probably exactly what I will do :p

Agree, they need to show 2 values when you are posting something to sell:

amount of total sale
amount you will receive (adjusted for both listing price and sales tax)

1. It’s likely a bug. Submit a bug report

2. Every time you open a new ticket, your issue goes to the back of the queue. So, submit 1 ticket, respond to the email you get on it, and then wait. That is the best way to get the fastest response. Anything else you will increase the time it takes to get your issue resolved.

You may have already done this, but I’m still working on getting my exotics and finishing my crafting to 400.

Once that’s done, I’ll work on 100% world completion and WvW. If I ever get tired of doing things at 80, I have 4 other characters.

Obviously, they are using waypoints so extensively because the amount it costs at low levels is trivial. The game encourages their use at those levels.

Consider that you make maybe 50c on a DE in a level 3 area. As a level 3, it costs 9c to go to a nearby waypoint. So, the cost of a nearby waypoint for a level 3 is around 20% of what he makes by participating in a DE.

You make a bit less than 2 silver on a DE in a level 80 area, and it costs around 2s to use a nearby by waypoint. So the cost of a nearby waypoint for a level 80 is over 100% of what he makes by participating in a DE.

That’s the issue.

I changes drastically as you level. I was 14 when I finished Queensdale. By the time I hit 80, I only had about 40% map completion. I had to start abandoning zones I hadn’t completed yet because I was out-leveling them by so much. I barely got started into any 70-80 zones, and had already abandoned the 60-70 zone I was in without completing it.

I had more than half the game to still see when I dinged 80. I can’t imagine how much I’d have over-leveled if the experience were even faster.

Look people, if you want to blow 5% of what you would have made, be my guest (it’s not 15%, because the junk blues and greens you are listing aren’t actually going to sell- they’ll just sit there forever until you finally cancel your listings and sell them to the vendor like you should have done to start with).

It’s no skin of my nose, or off the OP’s. This is just a public service announcement. Feel free to blow your money however you like.

As for you can’t find a vendor- every heart you fill is a vendor. Sure, he sells stuff for karma, but when you sell stuff to him, he’ll give you gold for it (well, copper and silver, anyway).

It’s actually not a bad idea, and I’m unclear why they don’t already sell the game that way. It would be 4800 gems ($60).

As mentioned, it’s really easy at higher levels.

The thing I’d like to see is a way to see where you’re CURRENTLY at. The way it is now, it will show you the highest amount of experience you’ve gotten towards the goal, but if you’re less than that currently, it doesn’t change as you gain experience. It would be nice to see how much experience you currently have since you last died.

Motion sickness happens because your eyes are seeing something different than your brain expects to see. It’s quite common.

It’s the way the game was designed, and it’s not going to change.

I find it’s actually not very effective, at least for the starter zones. Even down-leveled to 3, I still 2 or 3 shot most mobs.

As far as I can tell, the combat chat does not write to any kind of log, at least not accessible to the player, so it doesn’t appear there is really any way to create a dps meter- even one that’s not real time.

Just mouse over the icons in the upper left corner of your game. One of them opens the trading post.

You only need to go to the trading post NPCs to pick things up. You can access it to buy and sell or just browse from anywhere.

If people are able to whisper you when you’re invisible, then it’s bugged. Submit a bug report.

If someone is constantly following you around bothering you, even when not invisible, after you asked them to leave you alone, report them for harassment.

Crafting can provide that kind of gear. Look for “Cleric’s” in the name. Has Power, Healing, and Toughness.

I think most people realize they shouldn’t waste their money on keys. For those that don’t, well you know what the man said: “A fool and his money are soon parted.”

To A Net: You can keep those tonics though. Would save me the trouble on deleting them. Seriously- fun for the first few seconds, but you give out at 3 or 6 in every single mystic chest.

Now, if they were somehow made to not take up inventory/bank space, they might actually be worth saving. Maybe put in a collectibles section for them? As they are now, they’ll just continue to get deleted as soon as I open the chest.

I’m on TC. Haven’t seen or heard anyone roleplaying, but I haven’t been looking for them, either.

I leveled mainly with axe/warhorn and rifle. I tried out the greatsword last night, and love it. Until then, I had only done other weapons enough to unlock all the skills.

I plan to spend more time with all of the weapons eventually. I want to really get a feel for ALL of them.

Unless I missed it somehow.. I checked the store and under “My Account”, but can find no way to buy gems on the guild wars 2 web site. If I have missed it, please educate me.

When you buy from the game, it minimizes the game and brings up a web browser, so why not have the ability to get to that site from the GW2 web site?

I was just sitting here at work, thinking I’d like at add a few more gems, but why should I need to wait until I get into the game to do that?

It seems to me that it’s already in place, in the form of tournaments. The only thing not implemented seems to be the ability to queue as a group, yet face randomly grouped people.

Actually IIRC, someone from A Net posted something along the lines of it’s something they’d like to do down the road, but it may be a while.

So, there’s hope (unless my memory is totally gone, which is a distinct possibility).

I would like to see this for all classes- a way to swap additional weapon sets with the click of a single button, that only works out of combat.

Here’s the problem:

I am seeing several greens per hour drop. I can’t use the vast majority of them. You are everyone else is seeing the exact same thing. Now, think about that for a minute. For the vast majority of gear that you pick up in your adventures, it would be an upgrade for NOBODY AT ALL.

Yet, a very large number of people seem to be under the impression that the market is starved for mediocre gear. Result? The market is absolutely flooded with mediocre gear.

Everyone needs to realize that nobody wants to buy your trash drops but the vendor. You could also salvage them, and try to sell the crafting mats, though some of those are over-saturated, as well.

People need to stop posting their crap gear on the trading post. Nobody wants it. Salvage or vendor it, like you’re supposed to.

Just think of all the gear you’ve seen drop. That much gear is dropping for everyone else, too There is far more dropping than can possible by needed, and most of it completely useless.

If you go to put something on the trading post, look at the price of the match lowest price, subtract 15% (cost of using the tp), and compare to what you’d get if you vendored it. If it’s lower, don’t even think about putting it up- you’re going to lose money. Even if it’s higher, consider that’s the HIGHEST amount of profit you can make on the item. If you want to have a better chance of it selling, you’ll need to list it even lower than the current lowest cost.

The fact is, only really rare things and crafting mats have any chance to make you any money on the trading post. Quit wasting your time and money listing things that aren’t those.

In every city is an asura gate that goes to Lion’s Arch. At the other end are 5 asura gates that go back to each city.
