Okay, I understand. I’ll go for some pvt gear then ^^
Thank you, guys!
Oh, I understand now, thanks!
As grenadier engineer I am currently using valkyrie armor with berserker trinkets.
What would be a good setup for Flamethrower engineer? I saw already that soldier gear, which is a tanky one. Anything else?
Also, I want to already thank you guys for tips and explainations, that way I managed to support a bit my team in dungeon and it was simple a great!
Oh, so when they apply those conditions it will give total 20 seconds of condition?
Uhm… So if let’s say:
Person 1 applies 15 seconds of strong burning
Person 2 applies 5 seconds of weak burning
It’s like 15-5=10 seconds of strong burning?
I understand that stronger condition takes first place above other applied of same condition… But if this stronger lasts just longer than weak one… this weak one will still have it’s time?
I am not looking for stricte tank build. I already know that bombs are most likely used for something like that – when I was yet leveling I have defeated a group event boss all by myself, only throwing bombs and running around. Really fun xD
What is purpose of that burning-on-crit if flamethrower by itself provides burning? O.o I mean – I still don’t understand conditions in this game. I know that duration is stacked, but what about damage? Is it like.. the highest is on, or it stacks too?
Tsume Koi - Daugther of a normal common worker from Ascalon. When she born, her parents decided to move to Kryta to give her possibly the best protection from harm. They were scared of charr.
She raised in nothin more than hatred to charr, but when she was still a child, human kingdom traded a valuable charr symbol for peace. Since there, charr were seen in Divinity’s Reach and so Tsume’s curiocity was growing. She was always bit strange – happy, but busy. She loved to build stuff. And charr’s technology, their machines awoke her true love – engineering.
She never hated charrs. And the more she was learning about them, she loved them even more. Once, she had an opportunity to travel to Black Citadel – as yet young engineer. First night was spent on conversation with Iron Legion’s engineers. Her hunger of knowledge, how to build good, powerful, unbreakable devices… with her love to powders, bullets and bomb/grenade shells made an wonderful combination.
She would never EVER raise a hand against a charr that doesn’t want to kill her. Peace she lives in is something, what she loves. Opportunity to study charr’s technology, live with them, share her own expirience…
Tsume would even try to stop separatists. She hates racists.
Magitech armor is officially the most used engi armor in game.
So it might either be that my – socalled – aknowledged with gw lore source just told a random stuff… I’ll check it out.
My main character – an engineer – is a human. Why? Because this race gives alot ways of character build in role play. We – mankind – are so different. Every single one of us, so creating a facsinating, original character is really easy. Easier, than always logic asuras, tough-as-duck charr, cheerful and brave norn or what-the-hell-it-is sylvari.
So, flamethrower is used as “tank”?
Oh, I see. I think I’ll decide for 30/15/0/0/25. It fits me. I use alot my pistols to aid myself or others. Blind, immobilize, poison, burn, alot of cool stuff. Thanks!
In magitech armor I may tell you I saw few interesting combination, which removed all “too high technological parts”, like that lighting gloves, shoulders, helmet.
As for hlmet is easy to exchange (if you want similar model) cause you’ll use your goggles you’ve got at begining, as for others – it’s personal preferences. I like it that way.
I see. Yes, I have noticed, that pistols are highly utility weapons and I work them that way.
I have a question… What do you mean by “bunker” term? As I am working on my grenade build (I just discovered that 30/30/0/0/10 isn’t good) I am interested in flamethrower one too. Yet, I have no clue, how it should look like.
Charr’s age MUST be bigger than humans, if Pyre was grandfather of Rytlock… and he lived over 200 years ago.
Yeah. I love engineer, but as my gw2 expirience is still low I have many questions, that for you might be simple and obvious – yet for me are a mystery…
1. Flamethrower build.
I was trying a flamethrower build. I was running around 0/30/0/30/10… ot sure if it is good. Althrough, I don’t see a good use of a flamethrower yet… May someone explain me?
2. Healer.
I heard, that engineer is the best support/healer in the game. How exactly he is better than elementalist support?
3. DPS.
I don’t doubt that engineer can make an awesome DPS… Yet, besides grenade build (Which I had wrong yet) I can’t see much of that.
4. Weapons.
Rifles, pistols… Are they useless? Are you wearing them only for stats they provide? Because I love to shoot things up with my pistols, yet I certainly see, that I can’t do as much as with grenades.
I beseech your expirience and wisdom, engineers of Tyria.
So it isn’t grenadier build… I will have to work around it it seems…
Hi, Cora!
And all of yes to all issues. Tequatl is bugged, what makes this fight annoying.
So, explain me please flaws of 30/30/0/0/10 build. One of them is for sure lower crit damage bonus, but I get it from either my valkyrie set and zerker accesory…
Funny skills, funny skill effects, alot of ways to use any skill.
Originality, hardly seen in any other proffesion. Paladins, warriors, warlocks, hunters, assasins, mages – all has been done before. PUT SOME MINES, GRAB GRENADES AND WATCH YOUR ENEMY ’XPLODE!
Engineer is also really original character to make in role play way – it might be either alchemist, wishing to cure the world, a builder, wanting to improve everyone’s life or simply not-exactly-sane person, loving explosions. Regardless if used to kill, destroy or help.
Nah. Caldecus, few guys from Charr storyline (which are obviously a traitors)… And even someone from your own side! (ex: Order of Whispers representative in human storyline. Fabulous, girly and cold kitten)
It is a bit calm tho, yes… But I think if we in our world would face danger like that…
^ This. Also, https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Tribal-armor-in-normal-PvE-AGAIN/first#post3001450
I am aware, that this thread was pulled many, many times. But ever since – there is no answer… Or at last I did not see any.
So here it is again: Tribal Armor ( https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/8481/tribal.png ) is available ONLY in PvP, what in my honest opinion… hurts part of a playerbase. AT LEAST PART OF IT. This is a wonderful armor skin, would be used by necromancers and elementalists across every server… yet, we can not, because it isn’t present beyong PvP.
Why?
Why would you keep it away from player’s reach, if he cries out for it? Why would you deny his requests, his suggestions? It’s not a big deal I guess… And hope.
If anyone with any knowledge from Anet is able to answer, please do it.
with due respect, Tarreth.
Of course they fit. Only thing that talks against them is using “nature magic”, but you may close your eye on it. Ranger fits.
7/10. Steelemayne doesn’t really… show off if you know what I mean.
“Tarreth Stormscream” is my warrior.
Charr are race, forget in battle. In the past, they were shamans and warriors with many traditions. But later, after the Legions were formed, the Flame Legion, which contained shamans started to rule others by “false gods”, which were just a savage monsters from other dimention (if I remember correctly – something about that) other Legions found out they are fooled and rebellied against them. Without shamanistic, magic power, those Legions had only their tactical plans, muscles and brains, able to product machines, that’d help them against their foes.
“Rely on iron, not the false gods” – popular words of many charrs. They put faith in their own strength not magic, so yeah – engineers, warriors, thiefs are mostly used as a charr. Because it fits their lore. In this game, warriors are not only blademasters, but either marksmans, shooters. Warriors are backbone of the charr and as such, they may appear in many specializations.
For the High Legions.
