I personally want to change profession more than race. But that is just me.
So how do we all rate the end of LS season 1

I didn’t personally had high expectations. It was suppose to be an experimentation of short stories attempting to tie together in the end. The pacing was what ruined the “story” portion of it, as the updates came in small bursts over a year when the actual events in the story were suppose to span to certain amount of days, weeks or even months.
The ending was satisfying, they seem to understand where the living story went wrong near the end and hopefully they have learned their lesson and will use such knowledge to make season 2 good.
A whole lot of misinformation in here around condition damage…. You don’t compete in dungeons in a condition damage build. A heavy condi build does low damage because of the following:
1. Your stats don’t synergize well. To get condition damage + other damage, you need to take Rabid/Carrion/Rampagers. All three give very weak returns on power damage because of no crit damage, so your power damage is very lackluster.
2. You don’t damage structures, at all… (though carrion/rampager does okay here)
3. Your weak returns from vulnerability.
4. You get your burns, and poison overridden by any other user that may have no control over when those things proc (like a guardian). These conditions are always first come first serve, and there is no priority system.
5. Your bleeds at 25 will get knocked off by any new bleeds, even your own, potentially sending a 30 second bleed packing for a 4 second crit bleed.
Are there places where conditions work well? Sure… but not nearly as many places as where zerker works well.
Are you hurting your team rolling a full condi build? Most likely, but it isn’t the end of the world, as most PVE is not so difficult as to REQUIRE zerker players (See old arah 4).
In the best case scenario you can make due with conditions, and in a poorly optimized party you can be downright useless (see a party with multiple mesmers proccing short bleeds in zerker gear or a double condi necro party).
What you should ask yourself: Is it right that I have to justify my spot in this group by my personal ability, and not the merits and advantages of my class?
From the way you are making this sounds, it seems that the condition damage system needs a rework. Rather than making each condition a special case where said source is dealing burn damage and not overlapping with another burn source, it is instead overwritten by other people applying the same condition.
Depends on the build you use for them. Vampirism Zerker Wellomancer seems to do just fine in it.
7/10, the name does not seem elven to me, but the profession seems fitting.
A Sylvari Engineer named Oukrano (pronounced: Oak-Oh-rahn-Oh) his appearance is suppose to show he is like a burning piece of wood that still has a bit of a inner ember within. He also uses the flamethrower and chemicals.
Dagger+Warhorn with wells. 20/25/0/30/0. It may not seem strong but it does a decent job.
Major knee-jerk reaction to the fight.
There are stages. Melee handles DPS and condi players should be supporting them instead of stacking damage. Phase 2 the condi players stack as many unique conditions as long and as high as they can to make the boss weaker.
Try adapting to the fight instead of jump-the-gun raging because all builds cant face-roll win the encounter the exact same way.
I remember all of the QQ from zerker players that Wardens 3 in Marionette couldn’t just be face tanked and 4 required moving around and weapon swapping.
Put on your big kid pants folks, after a year and a half Anet is making you learn how to actually play the game.
Please explain to me how I as a condition necro am supposed to “support” the melee players?
Also explain to me why a condition user is necessary to stack conditions when power builds apply the same conditions and reach the cap without any condition user help?
I literally CAN’T play the game. any action at all from my character results in the application of conditions that down me. Please explain how I am supposed to do anything other than just stand there.
Here is a list of necro utilities that I can use to “support” my allies:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_necromancer_skills#Utility
Out of the 20 utilities:
4 are minions that die in 1 hit from the knights AOE
4 are personal defense and do no damage
12 apply conditionsI await your all knowing power to enlighten me on how I need to L2P.
Follow the golden rule and don’t play with conditions in PvE. Problem solved.
So basically don’t play necromancer, the class that revolves around conditions.
Or use axe, dagger, staff, death shroud, lich form, well of power, well of corruption, ranged minions … you know … power stuff.
I don’t think you realize how much of that stuff is condition heavy do you?
Do you even HAVE a necromancer?

Concerned about Captain's airship passes.

There are other cities that have the crafting tables and such…
What ever happened to cool LS rewards?

Probably because they are trying to make it so the meta achievements (or the exclusive item that goes along with it) isn’t as easily grinded to.
It will probably end up being a lvl 35-45 area, would transition well for those who are exploring as they level up.
1. Necromancer
2. Engineer
3. Elementalist
They could just easily move some festivals to the other cities, such as Divinity’s Reach or Hoelbrak.
Something good for those who run a vampirism build (Minion or wells idc)
I feel as though each alliance maybe for fighting a certain dragon. If we are going off what the priory told us in Lion’s arch that each alliance represents a element. If that is the case then:
Primodius- Molten Alliance
Unknown Jungle dragon- Toxic Alliance
Kralkatorrik- Aetherblades
However it is a bit early to tell, the enigmatic nature of Scarlet’s thought process makes no sense to me but I do believe whenever she wrote that journal, it was probably near the time before she went full insane. We don’t exactly know when that journal was written.
Crazy theory, but it is worth putting it out in the air.
I got a Flamethrower build that might serve as a ok example:
But yeah usually coupling elixirs with it is good. The Alchemy and the Firearms traits are a must imo.
It is probably going to end up being a 4 part finale.
If the 4th part ends well I won’t complain.
Some would argue the kits are to make up lack of weapons. But then again only three of them are actually decent.
Kind of wish that turrets that are picked up have a slightly smaller CD than ones that blow up.
As far as I know, corruptions haven’t changed a bit and are basically just directly upgraded by a single trait in Curses. You can use wells or corruptions without traiting specifically into them if you’re doing dungeons – powermancers tend to use both Blood is Power and Well of Suffering for maximum damage.
Could you show me an example of a powermancer’s trait tree? I am mostly conflicted with how to build the traits for said build.
I would rather have a page written out about it over a video, easier to look through.
I’m torn between using Wells or Corruptions. I tried finding a guide on building Corruption Necromancer but they seem outdated due to some of the trait changes and arrangements.
I usually just go double pistol with flamethrower kit. Gernade and Bomb kit are eh to me. :S
I feel like the meta achievements for the living stories lost meaning when you can just grind the dailies connected to them to unlock them.
I’m having this issue as well. What the heck?
7.5/10
I feel like the colors on the armor are not distributed evenly and it throws the balance off.
Sylvari Engineer, with and without helmet.
