You could post your suggestion in the Stickied thread, ‘QoL Suggestions’ where the Devs responsible may be more apt to see it. =)

Good luck.

I wasn’t sure where this would belong but if a mod can redirect this to that place, that would be nice. Thank you.

Good luck.

I hope so. But that doesn’t change the fact that these exotic weapons that require special tokens that are also part of a recipe are soulbound, and they should consider changing these weapons to accountbound.

Considering that the shimmering/tenebrous weapons require the guild weapons for crafting, why are the guild weapons soulbond on purchase?

Learned the hard way when buying a guild focus on my engineer to create the shimmering focus to help level my elementalist level in artificer. I can’t even use the guild focus if it’s stored in the bank for the recipe.

Part of me still feels like distracting daggers time limit on how long you can hold onto the dagger charges still feels kind of weak in a sense for pvp or wvw if we are talking about preemptively holding onto them until conflict occurs.

Basically I’m asking for something similar to how the mantras work: you use a mantra and you can hold onto those charges until used up.

that rapier looks actually more impressive then most bladed legendaries… and im not even sorry to say it. 10/10 will buy (2 times.. my woman gets one too)

It looks too much like Bonetti’s Rapier for me to be all that impressed.

Bonetti’s Rapier barely even has a guard on it. You must be thinking of the Lovestruck sword .

What kind of game is GW2?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: TheRiverBlues.2607

TheRiverBlues.2607

Guild Wars 2 is definitely a game that is trying to be different compared to Guild Wars 1. The combat system differs greatly but that was it’s main draw in for me. I did not personally enjoy the point and click to win battles, did not find it actively engaging (or to put it blunt BORING!) That is mostly why games like Archeage and WoW do not really interest me because of this type of combat. Even Guild Wars 1, I would find myself yawning at these old MMO mechanics.

The UI was also another friendly factor to the game, I did not feel overwhelmed and I was actually able to take in the lovely sights of the game without having to have the UI take over 20% of my screen. The UI also felt user friendly and easy to pick up on.

But is the game grindy? From my standpoint, its optional grind. The game only enforces grinding for equipment you don’t really need but you would like to have anyways (Ascended/Legendary items, Skins, gem shop items, ect.) Yes there are things you can grind for just for completion sake (IE: collecting all the dungeon skins and achievements) but it all depends on how you go about the grind to make it fun.

The game itself is trying to cater to a larger audience, but in the process of doing so it also pushes some audiences away, such as the GW1 players. MMOs tend to hit and miss with its large audience as each person wants something different. The game has been out for 2 years and personally I’ll give it one more year in an attempt to redeem itself for the small content output. By then maybe I’ll hear news of an expansion but I doubt it.

Mordrem Wolves-not so scary anymore.

I dunno that swiftness can still be an issue if you are trying to avoid fights with them. Plus they cripple. And they still do more damage to you if they attack your sides and behind.

I must admit I’m a bit baffled by the missing Charr tail on the outfit, but I guess I can rationalise it being due to the same illusionary magic that makes the males legs look like goat hooves.

Still, my self-respecting Charr isn’t going to hide his tail. :P

Same. Granted that tail clipping has never bothered me, it would nice to have at least my base tail if we can’t have a special devil tail for it.

TheRiverBlues.2607

Too lazy to throw the charr a custom looking tail? Compared to the other Halloween skins, this is the laziest outfit design and barely satisfies.

At least with the mad king outfit you get a toy scepter and it looks decent on Charr. This could have catered better to all races, but falls short.

they used to promised new updated every two week.
and on 2013 june updated said will have new legendary come out, where is it now?

compare to gw1 2 yrs after the map its much bigger then gw2, class its lot more and more skill for existing
so they going backward?

Consider the following: they probably don’t have a big enough team to pump out content like most mainstream MMOs. They promise they will do things, but they will not tell when it will be worked on.

So in a nutshell, this video will sum it up:

Who What Where .... Target

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: TheRiverBlues.2607

TheRiverBlues.2607

It’s really not a bad idea, while yes multiple targets on a screen can overwhelm a person with who to target quickly, but if you could fix it so you can only switch quickly to the target you selected, it could make it easy to swap targets on the fly.

An option to toggle on or off multiple targets would also be nice too, it may not promote teamwork but it would be a nice feature to tag with the idea.

Well, the Fighter in this game essentially is the Barbarian. I don’t know what you would expect a barbarian to differently, flavor-wise. Adrenaline sounds just like Berserker Rage to me.

Was thinking in a sense of how a Fighter is a military soldier, not a savage warrior.

I think this is in the wrong forum.

But anyways, Consider this: every 15 points of ferocity adds 1% so at full stack of 25, you would get a +16-17% of crit damage. As for how power scales don’t ask. It all depends on how often you crit imo.

1. Recipe quest tracker (a way to track how much of what materials you need for a certain recipe )

2. Profession Hybriding (a personal favorite from GW1, would probably not be consider a feature but I would love to see it attempted at one point even if its just a hand full of hybrid utilities)

3. sPvP improvements (as in a way to counter people going into spectator to join the winning team and aren’t affected by autobalance and have some non point capture maps)

TheRiverBlues.2607

I don’t see much of the issue. There is always a chance when you hit lvl 80 it will revert to the old system PLUS it does slightly encourage people to play different classes to get certain materials.

I mean, its really not that hard to farm for materials outside of the typical heavy armored classes.

TheRiverBlues.2607

But what if I want fancy metal-looking armor outfit for my engineer? I don’t mind outfits personally so long as they vary in styles.

You are an Engineer, it is completely illogical for you to be wearing extremely heavy clunky armour in combat.

If you want to wear heavy armour, re-roll a warrior or a guardian.

It actually isn’t illogical if you think about it in a creative way. It’s just a point that outfits has its ups and downs.

Now if you want to be able to mix and match you could ask for a alternative version of the armor you can just disassemble for mix and matching and have an outfit version of said set (but not bundled together gotta make money somehow)

Paying for past content?

in Living World

Posted by: TheRiverBlues.2607

TheRiverBlues.2607

This isn’t very fair to new players or players who cannot consistently jump onto GW2 due to complicated reasons. I would understand if you sold an entire season for a reasonable amount of gems, but not pieces of them.

We also need a clearer understanding of what an episode is. Is it just a single instance or is it a certain amount of instances bundled up (Example: flame and frost episode would contain from meeting Rox and Braham to the Molten Alliance Dungeon) Do the rewards for a whole “episode” justify the 200 gem price? If these are replayable, what is the reason to replay them after we completed them once?

From what I am seeing with the price they are really banking on players to just farm gold to unlock the episodes, which (guess what) doesn’t really earn them money.
