traits XI and XII are already commonly called “elite traits”, as they’re only accessible by getting 30 points on that trait line. i don’t see what you want here.
Special treatment at the cost of player customization of course.
The Lost Shores should have stayed lost.
1. There’s already “a reason” to put 30 points in a stat. Access to the last set of traits.
2. This ends up punishing players who have builds that work better by diversifying their traits and forces them into certain builds instead of playing the way they want to.

WvW counts as part of world completion.
Man, that’s awful. Are you sure? I don’t ever intend to play WvW (or PvP), so does that mean I can’t complete the map?
Yes, you have to do WvW but there aren’t any hearts in WvW so you’re still missing a PvE map.

Games need challenges, else they’ll get old sooner then later.
A system that relies solely on a RNG is anything but a challenge.

Can’t bypass it. Just play the TP and turn that 2 gold into 20. Won’t take long.

Skill points show up on the map even if you haven’t discovered them. Most likely, you haven’t discovered all the maps yet. Just look for the skill symbol in FOW areas and you’ve got your missing area.

That’s what the Trading Post is for. There’s never been a lack of materials to gather. The exact opposite actually. It used to take only 2 logs to make a plank, but there were so many flooding into the market everyday that it was nerfed to 3.

Its not a server population problem, its a player problem.
The majority of people simply camp in Orr, farming.Try posting in the Guild section of this forum, looking for a casual guild, in my experience casuals tend to play events for fun rather than farm.
Wrong orr is dead too.
Wrong. Orr is very much alive. Can’t go ten seconds without running into someone.
Wrong, its dead, Currently in Anvil Rock, i see maybe 20 people between shelter and penitent waypoint……….all other events are completely dead.
And there’s the problem. Your sever is approaching dead last in WvW. There’s a big difference between “massive amounts of people are quitting THE GAME” and “everyone on my server switched cause it sucks”.

It would be better if they made server-based economies. Would cut down on some of that.
Not really. You would have the same “problem” just with less buyers and sellers.

Never purchased a single piece of gear myself. From 35 and up, just do the dungeon exp modes. Do all 3, and you’ll have enough tokens for a full set of gear.

It amazes me how many people didn’t do any research into this game before buying it. Anet will NEVER have gear progression in GW2. They’ve made that very clear since day one.

Pretty much this. The only change I would like to see is being able to have more than one stack in the collectables tab.

I am against the stuff rewards (others than cosmetic). There are others games, for that.
For two weeks you will have fifteen different armor look’s and you will be doing the pictures, showing people what a great model you are….lol this is not a Barbie Fashion game, it’s fantasy MMO game… if ANet have philosophy like this, then i will quit this game and forget about this company once and for all and thier future products, because i’ll know what to expect…
You clearly didn’t do much research into this game then. Even in GW1, the only gear progression was cosmetic. Heck, the level cap wasn’t even increased for expansions and the stats on the gear was the same. So….bye I guess.
The Lost Shores should have stayed lost.
Philosophy of ANet is about “no grinding game”. My suggestions is not about grinding, it’s about improvment so that i will be logging into the game with a specific goal to do with my friends and guild mates.
- Make some Armor Set for Badge of Honor with better stats
- Some part of that set you should craft, for example boots and helmet, rest of that set u can get from Keeps after killing Keep Lord
- Improve Upgrade Armor, max (+5) on each part, for example: +1 upgrade, improve your part for 10 power, on all set u will gain 300 power. I’ts not much for mean something, but it’s motivating. Offcourse you will have max 50% chance to success for upgrade.
- Special Upgrade Scrolls u can get from Dungeons, offcourse you will have a chance to get it from champions and boss. Magic Find will incrase your chance for drop the scrolls.- WvW make for peaple who like gear progresion as a reward for killing player and claiming keep’s.
And how do you get this gear progression? By grinding WvW, crafting, and Badges of Honor which you admit to in your very first post.
The Lost Shores should have stayed lost.
Your idea for “improvements” is the exact opposite of Anet’s stated philosophy. This is not the MMO for you.

I disagree, I don’t want to see “LFG blahblahblah” every 5 seconds just like I don’t want to see goldspammers. Both are equally annoying and spammy to me. IF you want to get a group use the LFG tool, and supplement it with the occasional lfg chat.
What lfg tool? If you’re talking about flagging yourself lfg then you’re talking about the most pointless mechanic in the game. Only people immediately around you see it, and it provides no information about what your lfg is even for.

So… why a players should buy gold through Anet and not through a Gold Seller?
There is no point in it.
If you overlook the fact that it leaves you open to being hacked and is a bannable offense, both of which cost you all your invested time and money, then yeah. There is no point in buying from Anet.
The Lost Shores should have stayed lost.
Why not Nels?, your reason is weak, since the rare versions will require your character to be at least the lvl of the dungeon it fits with to wear it, and the exotic requires lvl 80 to wear anyway
Your counter argument and analysis of Nel’s argument is weak. It’s much easier to farm a lvl 35 Dungeon with 80 gear then it is to farm a lvl 80 Dungeon with the same gear. Or, you could just farm lvl 35 dungeons till you have the tokens for that 80 dungeon gear when you reach 80 and never have to do the dungeon in question.

The essence of a the mystic forge conduit is that it is a luxury. The fact that a player can take around an item that allows them to save time of having to travel and allows them to save inventory space by converting garbage into better items may not be something for the average “Blue Collar” Guild Wars player whose only intention with the game is too beat the story and play a bit of end game content with friends. There is nothing wrong with that, but the people who have the money to buy a Mystic Forge conduit when it does become a vanity item are not those king of players. Think about the market that the product will sell to. Even if only 1% of the game wants this item, or .1% the supply is extremely limited and over time as accounts get banned and people stop playing the supply will dwindle even more. Over 1 million people have purchased guild wars and even if only a small percent want this its value will increase because there is no way for them to get any new ones. That is my take. Opinions?
Or, for less than 9 gold, I could buy two inventory expansions and two 15 slot runes. So you’re telling me that the MFC is a better inventory saving method than gaining 30 inventory slots when the MFC requires you to have several kinds of items that go together in the right quantities to even use and if you have more “junk” than you need to make something in your inventory, it’s still going to be taking up space after using the MFC? Right. Do not confuse “Blue collar players” for players who aren’t impulse buyers.
Or you could do both and have the best of both worlds? They aren’t mutually exclusive, so your comparison means little.
Personally, I don’t leave a spot until my bags are full. So if I can combine random trash to get yellows, then I can stay at a spot longer, and when I actually do have to leave, it’s with more yellows than I had. I find it extremely useful.
Of course they aren’t mutually exclusive. At no point did I ever establish that. You clearly missed the entire point. MFC is a total waste of money if you’re looking for saving inventory space. Making that your main selling point is just dumb. Thus, my comparison does not “mean little”.

No, it really isn’t possible.

You used to be able to do that, in the first couple of weeks. You could level quite a bit in that area. They patched it out.

Except it’s not a vanity item. You can’t show it off to the whole world like you could the Wintergreen items. It simply saves you two loading screens to reach the MF. It has neither aesthetic nor economic value. It’s worthless and I’m pretty sure that you’re one of the people trying to sell them only to realize that people will not buy them. Pump and dump anyone?
Imo it’s main use is for mystic forge recipe hunting; you can easily check trophies & other random materials as see if they work with the mf which can help tons for figuring out a few of the hidden recipes.
It’s second use is for saving inventory space or saving money/time for when you’re gambling with your common drops. Both are quite optional true, but it’s hardly worthless.
You can do all that at the regular MF without lugging around an extra item. There’s also a fan site that’s been figuring out the hidden recipes so there’s no need to do it yourself. Why pay 11+G for something that can easily be done for free while providing no tangible benefit other then saving you some loading screens?

This is why speculation on the internet should never be trusted…..unless you’re smart about it. For instance, I was pretty sure sugar pumpkins would NOT be used for anything during the event. Why? GW1 didn’t do anything like that, and the items you could get during festivals weren’t even sellable, so why would anything be different in GW2? However, I knew that many people would be speculating on sugar pumpkins and that that would drive the price up.
So, I invested in them before the price jump. 24 hours before the event kicked off, I dumped all my pumpkins on the TP for 150 copper each. They all sold within an hour. I didn’t spread any rumors, but I knew others would and that people would fall for it because the average player doesn’t do their own research. Sadly, this will probably happen again at Christmas and I’m pretty sure the same thing will happen again next year.

Maybe is time to join two or three servers together since there is no much to do in the game during the week (most likely morning to afternoon).
Stop playing during off hours. If you can’t, then switch to a EU/US server. Problem solved.
Stop playing during off hours wouldn’t solve the problem, It would just make it worse. That isn’t simple as it seems to be.
This is not “my” problem. Its something you can easily see teleporting around different maps. Its everyone’s problem.
So playing during prime time will cause you to encounter less players than playing during off time? Right.

“Hi everyone.
Thanks for asking. To change the race in the Gem store will not be an option in Guild Wars 2.
Now we will proceed to lock this thread."
The Lost Shores should have stayed lost.
The point is not where the creator of the game is based, the point SHOULD be where their customer is based.
I bought Guild Wars 2 from a UK shop. I paid in pounds sterling. I play on an EU server with other EU players. I buy gems from their store in pounds sterling (at almost twice the rate of the US players) and English is the primary language.
So… for almost all the EU / UK players, to then be told “But cos we are american we therefore get everything first” is pretty galling, and smacks of lazyness or worse, elitism.
If you can be bothered to sell a game in another country, convert your prices to their currency, and speak their language, then at least have the decency to update their game at a reasonable time thats not based on some arbitary US timeframe.
Wow, Lotro, EQ, EQ2, Vanguard etc etc all manage to do it, so why cant Anet?
Raging against elitism by using an elitist argument. Classic.
The Lost Shores should have stayed lost.
Anet keeps a list of all the passwords that hackers try combining with email accounts to hack into the game and they prevent players from using those passwords. Most likely, your password has recently turned up on that list. As a rule of thumb, you should have a unique password for your e-mail and another for your game. You can use whatever you want for forum sites and other stuff, but those two need to be used for only one thing.
