I wholeheartedly agree. Been frustrated more than once with this. I would, however, map the revive button somewhere else. Problem solved.

Hi all. I know some Guild stuff is going to be added this month with the update. However, I’m not certain none of these things are going to make the cut. I’d like to make a little suggestion list as a GW1 and 2 guild leader:

PRIORITARY:

· Give us a Guild Hall: I know this is already coming soon, but I really can’t emphasize enough how much this would help. For example, I’d like to be able to have meetings/parties/events in our Guild Hall like we did in GW1. Travel should also be free and leaving the Hall would port you back to the area you were before.
· Remove multi-guild system: I honestly believe this is the dumbest thing ever made in the game. People can join severals guilds and represent only one. If you’re not going to commit yourself to a single guild, why join it in the first place? What benefit does the guild have? It baffles me how some guilds just want to fill their member list with anything.
· Add an alliance system: Much like GW1 where we could gather as guilds into a single alliance. Working together, we could earn alliance influence to grant boons and benefits in WvW, PvE and PvP, similar to the current system.

MANAGEMENT TOOLS:
· Allow leaders to see last members last login
· Allow leaders to know the exact date when a member joined the guild
· Separate member list by rank: Say, you want to see the hierarchical list of users instead of a random mess of online/offline

COSMETIC:

· Guild Armor: There’s already the chest piece, but it’d be awesome if we could actually get the full set.

• Us leaders should be able to customize their looks like we can customize ranks.
• It would also be cool to have different tiers for guild armor too. T1 for regulars, T2 for officers and T3 for the leader (and maybe others top tier guildies too).
• These could be purchased with some sort of tokens awarded by contributing to the guild with influence and would provide guildies a sense of achievement and belonging.

· Full list of Guild Weapons: Don’t just limit the choice to a few weapons. Give us more options!

Why isn’t there an option for my aviator glasses to be displayed? I just got them and there’s no box to put the display on or off. Is this a bug?

I have the Master Carver title, but progress on my achievement list seems to have reset after the 28th’s update. Are you aware of this bug?

Here’s my Guardian with his full Knight Draconic set+Scepter and Torch.

My two cents as a guardian:
I’ve actually built my traits around using scepter and torch and I can deal quite a lot of damage with burning by using my Virtue combined with burning spirit weapons while I stay giving support on the background. My secondary weapon at the moment is the hammer so I can also jump into the battle whenever I see an opening. However, I would like to see either a buff in projectile speed or range for the scepter. It’s very slow, and very short ranged. I know a ranger is supposed to be able to use a longbow to shoot from a range of 1200, but scepter really has a very short range and I’d like to be a little more useful at longer distances.

I’d just like to contribute to the awesome (and a little glitchy) game that is GW2. I’ve got an idea that will probably motivate some players to stay home at weekends to play GW2. Remember how back in GW1 we had weekend boosts? Much like one weekend greens had twice the chance to drop and the next weekend it was Alliance Battles weekend.

What do you guys think? Perhaps we could have stuff like: double karma weekend or double MF weekend in dungeons of fractals.

Yep. I do it all the time! One hand gaming FTW lol. Although I use a PC mouse on my Mac, not my trackpad. Won’t work there. Can’t speak about the magic mouse either.

Wow man, that sucks. I’ll try that option, but it’s surely very aggravating to know that my 8G of RAM I bought not too long ago will not be used in full. Be right back.

Agreed. Most of the times I have to lower my camera all the way to the floor to see if I’m hitting something or not.

I’m with you man, it’s really frustrating. I can’t really play longer than 10 minutes without a crash. I know we have to give time to ArenaNet to fix all these bugs, but it’s unacceptable to have a bug here, a bug there, a bug everywhere. Didn’t have these troubles before the last update.

So, that’s a big, fat NO ANet?

I don’t think this is the same ANet from the GW1 days. Such a shame that this is happening. What’s even more shameful is that they are seemingly “open” through their forums, facebook and all and yet they decide it is a good idea to ignore the matter, like they don’t even read these posts. I’m definitely not digging the team’s attitude and it’s seriously ruining the game for me because I feel shafted…and that’s coming from a 2000+hour player of the first.

This is just a question for ArenaNet since I’ve been reading the forums for a few days but this subject has somehow seemed to go deep into oblivion. I was one of the affected by the DC issues last Sunday, twice. Since I believe I read somewhere that you were working on a way to make it up/give us another chance/anything else, can we have an update? I mean, we haven’t had an update and we don’t know if there’s something coming or not either. With no means to start an argument, can we please have an update ArenaNet?

Soooooo, its been a few days and not even an hint of what may be done.

No offense but to be told a team is looking into, can mean something or nothing.

I for one am hanging around to see IF they even come close to rewarding us fairly, or are going to bend to others who got things dont want anyone else to have them.

Its a game and all though is such, people spend time and EXPECT tangible returns on their investment in time and money, period, no other way around it.

Soooo…. lets see, because after 2 days, the silence from them is kind of giving me a hint, we are not going to be very happy.

Yeah, I’m not expecting much either. ANet got to lower the prices of their precursors and they’re happy now. We can just walk away now if we keep waiting for them to let us open the same chest with the same loot. We probably will just get the 20 slot thing and the accessory, which is fine for me, but it makes me mad to think that I had a chance at getting a random precursor and I was totally screwed by the server.

Just wanted to report this. I don’t know if this is a game mechanic or game design decision but I feel like this is an atrocious choice. After getting DCed from Fractals, I just can’t rejoin my team inside the dungeon or even wait for them at the “lobby”. Seriously, FoM is probably the coolest dungeon in my personal opinion, but this bug seriously breaks it for me, especially when it’s not even a failure in my end, ,since I keep skyping normally with my guildie. Even in other dungeons I could rejoin them in the same dungeon instance.

Can we have a fix for this? Is anyone else getting the same bug?

I’m really, really upset Arenanet. I endured the entire 2 phases with lots of lag, bugs and all kinds of crap to just not be able to log during phase 3 today. I had RL stuff to do but I had planned stuff to be able to log in before the vent started, but to my surprise, I simply couldn’t even log into the game. Result: there was no way for me to participate in the very last event, as bugged, laggy or anything as it was. I’m really mad that I got to do the first parts of the event but because of a failure in your end, I couldn’t even connect to your servers after trying for about 30 minutes. Am I mad I couldn’t even get my rewards? Well yes I am, and I’m sorry if some dissagree. I was a Guild Wars 1 player, and it really pisses me how things have changed since we could do event missions for at least a week (say Halloween, Wintersday, Canthan New Year and so forth) and claim our rewards for those missions. It just isn’t fair to promote an event for weeks just to throw in such a shoddy job man. It really makes me think twice if I want to buy into the hype and participate in the next update.

It’s shameful really. I don’t understand how Arenanet’s testers can say this is “ready” for us to play. Seriously? I was in an overflow like many people, suffering disconnects and all. I waited, and waited, and waited just to see the event skip completely. Going to the Southsun Shoal area was even worse: lag, invisible enemies, invisible friends, etc, etc, etc. I know I will not be attenting any more of these OH SO EXCLUSIVE 1 time events. It’s really, really low and unconsiderate, especially for the great majority like me who had to bear with the kitteny servers and kitteny lag.

3) Depends, I usually like to find a balance of both, where I can feel the hero at times and yet be part of something huge like a raid or an assault
4) I do see myself in the character. I always try to make them as similar to me as possible so I can feel fully immersed in the game
5) Story wise, yes, my path is set. However, what gear I get, how I look, what I do, who I band with, is all my choice
6) What do you view as your character’s ultimate goal? Is it different from the goal of defeating the final dungeon or raid boss?
7) Depends on how it is made. I usually enjoy discovering the lore, reading and doing things by myself to find out about the back story
8) I don’t really care actually, I just think of me as THE one player
9) In Guild Wars 2 I feel like the first part of the personal story was just bland and unrelated to the main issue. I still fail to see how finding out about my parents has anything to do with joining the Vigil and saving the world from Zhaitan

I’ve had this happen twice. First it was yesterday just while playing against Jormag’s minion. My headset lost all sound and all of a sudden a weird intermitent alarm sound starts playing. Sounded like a weird “wooooo, wooooo, wooooo…”. Then, my computer froze at the very end of the event and when rebooted the whole system, I couldn’t get my chest since it didn’t count as if I was part of the event. WTF?!

Also, today while fighting Tequatl I had the game do the same thing, but this time I minimized the game and saw that the problem was the game itself, not my computer. This time however, my computer did not crash so I had the chance to report the bug and write here. Had to restart the client again to get this fixed.

Just giving you ArenaNet guys a heads up. Hope it helps!

How so, has it been asked before?

Hi all! A friends birthday is coming up real, real soon and I just had this idea.
Much like in Steam (for example, although many other places have this system) where you can purchase a game and send it as a gift to a friend, what if we were able to purchase Gems or ingame costumes/minipet packs/boosts/whatever and be able to box and mail them to a friend?

I think that’d be an amazing idea for those people who have close friends who also play GW2 like me. Could this be a possibility in the near or distant future?

P.D. Thank you ArenaNet for making such an amazing game. I can’t wait to get out of the office everyday to go home and play with my buddies.

I loved the graveyard-smashing-skeleton-army-building minigame. Pretty amusing. I’d love that to be a permanent minigame (although in a more history related setting).

Please tell me there wasn’t a hat given out yesterday, because I’m going to go ape kitties (I typed that, no filer)! I’ve done everything in the event and had I known there was a hat yesterday I would’ve tried to slip a few minutes of Guild Wars 2 into my schedule as I was busy as hell yesterday due to work. Crap…isn’t there a way to get the kitten hat by changing candy corn or something? I WANT IT!!! Gah, this blows. I wish I could get it like we can now in GW1 by trading Halloween party for it…

Tony, Baruch Bay (Spain) is heavily bugged. No events whatsoever and doors won’t open either way. Can you please look into it?
