This word “bullying”. You keep using it. I don’t think it means what you think it means.
He is missing because he is aggro’ed onto the gravelings in the tunnel that you skipped. it takes a few seconds to kill them. then his bubble will always be on the boss.
we’re approaching our 100th page. just a reminder to you all, gaile may come in any moment now and lock it + create another fresh thread with a link back to this one.
make an “all welcome” post it usually fills with at least 1 necro. that is more than enough to scare off these unfun people who don’t bother complying with the lfg message. Alternatively, you can roll a necro yourself, even more fun when pugroulette in arah.
10 times out of 10 I’ve had a good experience when it comes to the option of group decisions in blowing up lupi. They sometimes ask “wall on wall lupi?” i immediately say “no” and that is that.
EU is different then. A very large amount of pugs just assume that they are going to 1shot him.
Also this is no solution tbh
Yea I figured it might be a little different in EU. Didn’t offer it as a solution, just an alternative way to get you a fun fight.
The proper solution here is to make GL’s projectiles non-reflectable. That’ll stop this and make the fight more interesting in general.
Oh my GOD. Genius. This is absolutely PERFECT!
Hey, why don’t we completely remove reflects and absorptions from the game? I mean, it’s not like 2 (1 in particular) classes heavily rely on them. It’d only require an overhaul!
We joke, but this is the easiest way Anet can change it. The only reason why they have not is because the crying lashback would be insane.
omg. argument doesn’t go his way and he wants to cry to mommy? That is beyond pathetic. almost sad.
These type of people don’t want to change the game for the better, they just want to throw a tantrum like a fussy 5year-old and expect the world to rally behind them reinforcing their delusions of grandeur.
so kittening bingo

that is a lot of patience you have there spoj. Next level zen Buddhist monk type patience.

I’ll take the bearbow, at least I can’t see it.
Until point blank shot xD
Seems you misunderstand. The meta would change to having lbow ranger (rapid fire is op now) and staff eles at max range with the rest of the party in melee. So yes my points are completely valid.
Are you actually going to answer my questions by the way? Because until you do you havent actually given a valid reason for such a change.
There isn’t a question that you have asked that I haven’t addressed. If you expect me to answer loaded questions the same way I respond to reasonable questions then please just stop posting here.
You said yourself that range does less damage than melee. Why would longbow ranger be the new meta then? As I pointed out, there are things that a longbow ranger wouldn’t have access to or be able to do for their team. For example, no guardian symbols or mesmer null field effects. Also they wouldn’t provide warhorn 5, or healing spring for the team (assuming they stay at 1000+ range).
Neither you or Leo have posted answers to the following questions.
Why should ranging have no disadvantages? And to be more specific. Why should it have no disadvantages in effectiveness when its the far safer option? Why should you be rewarded for causing problems for teammates who are meleeing?
I did not say that melee is better than range. Most melee weapons do have advantage of damage as Ena said. However the highest damage build in the game is staff ele. And the recent changes to ranger longbow made it incredibly powerful for burst. However the auto attack is designed for max range. With your suggestion both its 8 second cooldown burst and max range auto dmg become a pretty op combo.
“Why should ranging have no disadvantages?” is a loaded question. You really aren’t even considering the points that I am making so after this post I am no longer responding to you.
I read your OP. You want better boon sharing so that the guys hiding in the back at 1200 range aren’t as much a drain on their party.
Here is my response: they should be a drain on their party. They should know that and they should feel somewhat bad about it. They should make an effort to learn best practices and implement them if possible. If they can’t, won’t, or don’t care that’s fine but they shouldn’t have their bad choice reinforced with positivity.
That would be all fine and dandy if you were dealing with a group of people that you play with often. But for pugs, your pleas often fall on deaf ears. It isn’t even worth the effort trying to explain it to them, especially when you will likely never see them again, much less run a dungeon with them.
If you were talking about pugs who experience dungeons once and never do it again, sure, you may have a point, maybe. Other than that you don’t sound like a player who pugs very much, or haven’t been pugging dungeons for very long.
Pugs in general may not adopt meta immediately but they eventually do. With more experience they do feel the weight of risk v. reward and eventually gravitate towards efficiency. There are some that refuse to change their ways, but they are well in the minority.
@grump Have the rest of your party drop then reinvite them. Should fix the bug.
Make these buffs/reward nerfs apply party-wide and voted on instead of just on individually and I think it would be viable
I do agree this would help bring in more players to our circle that would ‘maybe’ get Anet to pay more attention to us. This in effect creates the opposite of HM, so if development continues with this idea in mind.. win-win.
Right now dungeons are like the Eugene of the game. Locked in the attic and ignored
xD what great timing.
More and more I am convinced that people who have never actually done a speed run think there is nothing happening mechanically because when they watch the videos it happens too quickly for them to understand whats happening. Maybe I should take a video of a record run and do slow-motion narration of what is happening in key parts to show the detail of what is happening?
…
I once linked my stream on the forums and nobody gave a flying kitten though :/
Separate your stream into segments and upload to YT, then post relevant vids when a phiw makes a dumb post to debunk them.
I’m back. And I deliver the funzies, the huge mega funzies.

Doing LS in this game is like eating food that I hate. I give it a taste once in awhile to check to see if my tastes have changed. I mean, so many people liking this must mean there is something to it right?
Instant regret. Still tastes like kitten.
Add me to the boat of story sucks in all aspects within GW2. I was pretty engaged in GW1 story; every character appealed to me, even the ones you had to hunt down for those zaishen quest. I remember looking up their character info on wiki.
GW2 story makes me feel like the people who wrote this stuff are brain-dead. But I think that is what they’re going for unfortunately. Brain-dead story telling for brain-dead players written by brain-dead writers. Circle-jerk if you will.
To add to that, I only started playing GW1 about a year before i started playing GW2 so no chance of “rose-colored glasses” on my end. Such a disappointment. At least I still like doing dungeons.

This guy can be fun. I remember fighting him for the first time while I was leveling my new character, it was pretty challenging. His attacks are predictable so you can practice your DB evades
(edited by Tom Yzf.5872)
I remember when fear bypassed defiant. That was fun as well
just start arah p2 and work on the deadeyes, defilers, and berserkers. That should help you dodge and max melee.
Oh kitten , didn’t read your post fully. xD Completely skipped over the “used to”.
edit: oh god really? “de ee arh pee” is censored?
(edited by Tom Yzf.5872)
No problem. Although correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I understand about how seaweed salad works, I dont think it would help your heartseeker damage.
Very nice work! Awesome timing on those backstabs. I still have trouble with this, and the vid will help a ton
Tip if you don’t mind: you don’t have to be completely inside his circle for p3 or even touching it for that matter. If you stand a little outside of it, this should give you enough room to safely 1dodge and withdraw out of the aoe w/o getting hit if you’re not able to time the evades.

these are very impressive.
For the mage crusher, is there a tip or trick to avoiding his auto attack poison projectile? I have tried soloing him melee but i can never consistently avoid that attack. Im aware of what the animation looks like but its fast enough and subtle enough that Im too late.
All of his attacks have a 1.25sec-ish after cast. His auto-attack is instant cast and instant hit in melee range. Knowing this, all that is left is to time your dodge after the last attack finishes; when his body is completely still is when he finishes his attacks. Just count 1 alligator after that and evade/block/invuln.
The downside is there is no way to distinguish between his auto and this other attacks so you end up wasting your evades and such.
those solos are candies for my eyes. Great job miku, I swear, there is no way anyone is going to get a better time on that crusher + hunter.
I want to point out I am glad to see some stuff posted in here, the dungeon community has been pretty dead lately
.
IMO I wouldn’t count that Hunter+Crusher as a record time. I don’t think anyone else on here would either.

I’m in NA, and the only time my party has appeared in EU LFG or an EU LFG shows up in NA is when I’m partied up with someone from EU and one of us creates an LFG. Other than that, I’ve never encountered a problem the way you’ve described it
Many players have been occupied with Halloween events/Maize farming and such. And more recently they have been busy with living story stuff this week. Give it a week or so. They’ll come back.
Wow, thanks for that olive branch. I guess after the FGS nerf I’ve been a little on edge. I also apologize to you. Let’s be best internet friends. Whirlwind hug.
It’s ok dude. Even though most lawyers are scumbags, I’ll man up and apologize for any misunderstandings between us. I’m genuinely a nice guy. Whirlwind hug?
Sorry for derailing this thread guys; I’m going to stop now.
You no longer need axe (reflects) for last boss in ta. They nerfed it to the point where you only need some blinds for UP and a little more blinds for FWD. Unless you’re talking about Aetherpath, then I suppose it could be useful when rezzing.
Get your facts together before you decided to pollute threads with your lies. Anet bans players who grief the dungeon mercenaries. Their policy on griefing is clear and no where does it mention “unless you are selling dungeons, then we don’t care”.
That CDI sums up to:
“Lets ask our casual playerbase to help give input on hardcore content. Players who have no idea of what they want and are locusts who will only do instanced ‘hard’ content once and never see it again.”
Yea that’ll turn out well.
Nemesuck is a self-proclaimed necro expert. In reality he is just some 3rd rate player who has no idea what he is talking about. When actual players who are familiar with the Necro class caught wind of the terrible terrible advice that he was dishing out to new players playing necro, Nemesis was called out and proven to being a fraud.
He then got really kitten and made it a personal goal to talk trash on all things meta, stick to his terrible builds and bad math that would make elementary students wince in pain. Many players eventually recognized his uselessness and eventually he phased out of relevance.
Now you know, never quote his words again if you want to make a proper argument.
Well there you go Particlar Challenge ( Lv 11 cuz if i want higher like 40+ i would probably have to get condi gear and it will take around 25min+) this took 13min xD.
gz! I enjoyed that song more than I should have lol
So ummm, I got a reply to my evidence regarding details on “the one we hate” and how he merge kicks players out of their dungeon for fun.
I hope i’m not mistaken, but I’m pretty sure he is now banned for good.
I’m too scurred to celebrate, almost too good to be true.
Players pay gold that they have farmed or converted via gems to buy this service. They have put in the work to get these rewards. Your argument is invalid.
I used to hate it too. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Once you get used to the timing, you can dodge between the aa sucessfully doing the more difficult encounters, once you get there it can really be fun. My only gripe with it now is you can’t max melee.
I enjoy sword aa. It is more engaging than many other skills in gw2.
Oh wow, that is a lot more useful, ty
let me post screenies vs capturing on video and i and maybe others will do some of them (computer is a potatoe)
i sent him what i had.
good nutrition? hell we’re having protein overdose at this point xD
and while you’re doing map completion, have this window up: http://mos.millenium.org/na/matchups/map/1892
this way you are up to date on which maps to go to when your wvw players capture a point you need. this is if you are not a fan of pvp that is.
