You gotta say “best patch ever” to get them to reply.
I’m one of the few lucky guys who maintained previous fps and I feel for those who were not lucky.

However it took me 2 days to get problems solved just to enter the game -.-

I’m aware of change logg provided by devs…
If they manage to fix all bad stuff this could be called decent patch.

But as long as some (too many atm) guys are having 50-60% lower fps no changes can help them enjoy the game.

Example how you can ruin great stuff by delivering it wrong is ArcheAge. Awesome game delivered on completely wrong way. Same happened with this patch.
Good ideas implemented badly.

Finaly I made it to game after 24235252 errors and 22h of download.
The only thing I like so far is that my fps wasn’t downed.

I see no changes at all… First person camera sucks, ppl complaining about multiple bugs… few sliders wont make difference between life or death, my best friend can’t play the game on his i7 with 16gb RAM and 2gb gpu cuz he has 20ish fps while before patch he had 70-80.
The only thing I REALLY like is ping indicator.

This patch is one big mistake, imho.
Only thing they succesfully done is to shake the confidence of community before expansion.

What do you think?

I still have to get into the game experience these “awesome” features and FPS drops.

FIX THIS… you can’t be serious about this. cmon!

I can’t even enter kitten game for 2 days. Always some error, or 0kb download, or stuck at blackscreen or stuck at initializing…

My friend is in… but it’s unplayable.
Stop ignoring the problems and reply to reports for once. It’s easy to reply on asslicking threads where fanboys will say how everything is just fine… when in fact you just ruined perfect mmo.

GW2 was just fine… i bet 90% of dont give a kittencat about 1st person view (which is no way intended for competitive play).

i just saw 22fps on my friend’s i7 laptop with 8gb RAM and 2gb gpu…

they seriously kittened up their game.

Seems like I’ll have to experience every kitten problem before I get in game.

Nice thing is how staff NEVER replies to reports here, and they did replied to kitten -licking threads like “best update ever”.

Best update my kitten :P I never saw so much troubles and bug while performing simple stuff as patching the game in years.

Now when I tried again it’s stuck at initialzing.

And my friend has 8bgRAM, i7 3.3Ghz, 2GB GPU and on low settings he has misserable 22fps. Knowing that fact, I’m not even sure if I want to enter the game since I used to have 30fps.

I’ll probably have 4-5fps now.
Wtf happened???? I never saw someone ruin their game like this.

I dont know… I’m here less than 2 weeks and I’m not impressed.
This patching seems like it’s being done by some amateurs.

How to get this kitten working again??
After 22h of download it FINALY made it to 100% and now this!?!?!

Whenever I press “play” screen just flickers and window frame appears on top my screen where I can clearly see it says “Guild Wars 2”.
It just flickers and music plays in background. Screen is black under the window frame.
When I try to open task manager it takes 2minutes to load it, and than it says “not responding”.

I’ve read on other topic that some guys are having troubles with playing in fullscreen. I played on fullscreen before so that might be a problem but I can’t make it windowed again cuz’ I can’t even enter the game.

Seriously… worst patching I’ve saw in years. Good job… you really have shaken the confidence of your community before your first expansion.

How the hell can I trust you that expansion download wont give me even bigger issues.
And I was planing on buying it, now I’m not so sure :P

french stuff COMPLETELY restarted my download.
I was stuck on 1 file, now 16k files to download.

My download started but it seems like it has no end. Downloaded 150mb still on 0%.

i don’t understand one thing

why the kitten we dont have info on how big the file we are downloading is at all :P
Why is it so “top secret” stuff ??

And if fps drop thing hits me, I’m probably out of game. Had 30fps at most, and if what i read is true… i better not log in.

Give us interact-able objects. Seriously, some games had that even in 2004 :P I can’t believe that you can’t sit on a kitten chair

This game has ZERO trolls in chat.

This is first MMO where people are not busy talking about other MMOs, mostly cuz’, lets be honest, GW2 beats the hell out of it’s competition.

This game has amazingly designed PvE content. Even the most stubborn pvpers simply drool over these zones and just can’t help but try to experience some of it’s content.

Zone design is simply epic.

Soundtrack is the best thing I’ve heard in gaming since Final Fantasy VIII.

Combat freedom. It’s mix of action based & target based combat which is probably the best possible thing in mmos. I’ve played both styles (Tera, Neverwinter, Vindctus along with other tab based games) and somehow it’s both styles feel clunky at moments. Here, if I shoot on my target and non target monster gets in my way it still gets shot. My bullets dont fly trough monsters just cuz it’s not on my focus.
That’s amazing improvement in combat mechanics.
Also ability to switch weapons and gain totally other playstyle is just wow!

Phasing. None mentioned that and I’m surprised.
This game has high graphics quality and still it provides zero lagg (at least to me).
I played Rift before I came here and I had various glithces, laggs, low fps while here I have stable fps with 20-30 players around me plus mobs.
Very few other games can provide that.

And yea… I feel zero need for addons here. They simply made perfect UI.

In overall: This game is worth every single cent invested in it.
Hands down Arena Net. This is masterpiece MMO, the one which raises bar high and sets standards for future of gaming.

I simply can’t go back to other games anymore. I uninstalled Tera, WoW, Rift and LotRo. Bye and good riddance.

you really want unskilled clickers in your WvW fights? This will just filter them out.

i dont give a kitten about it. It doesn’t affect me at all, unnatural stays unnatural no matter how much they tried to put it in “most natural beings” in game Sylwari.

I dont remember seeing any of such stories before Rift started that. (and I’m lore freak, so correct me if I’m wrong and name a game where you saw that)

For some reason people like that, people like anything that TV says it’s cool so… I guess Anet followed the example.

In first story quest for Sylwari I was kinda surprised to see that Dagdar calls Eladus his “beloved”.

I looked at Eladus and “it” wasn’t female for sure.
Later Dagdar said: “… he loves me after all.”

All of this smells like a copy/paste of Trion’s “gay romance” between Kira and Uriel in Rift.
My opinion on that really doesn’t matter and this is not topic about do you support gay or not, I’m just curious if anyone else noticed this.

Those two are actually gay couple… according to what I’ve seen here.

Yup. Me and my fat fingers. Good thing I already know I’m terrible at PvP.
My little brother who has a disability that causes quite severe dexterity problems can’t use a keyboard due to the placement so he relies on a mouse. When he tried a keyboard he couldn’t bend his fingers far enough to be able to hit the skills he wanted with any speed.

Re-bind him stuff and make them closer to movement controls. Might take a while to get used to but practice does wonders.

Well… tbh I clicked like 2 months when I played my first mmo (loooong ago) and saw how clunky it can be.
Developed my personal preset where I use QWES + right mouse click for moving, middle mouse for jumping, space for targeting enemies and shift+tab for targeting friendly units. This leaves me A D F R, Shift + A D F R, Tab, shift + middle mouse, shift + space, 1 2 3, shift + 1 2 3 for easy and fast skill access.

May seem hard to get used to when you see it like this but it’s extremely fast since all your skills/spells are there like 1cm far from your fingers.
