And here I am…. back on GW2 again.

Zones are way to small
Combat is utterly boring, laggy and repetitive
Each loading is potential game crasher
Whoever stuns first – wins battle
Crafting is stupid and time gated as kitten

I saw a topic here few days ago about BnS being threat to GW2 and by watching some streams and videos one could easily think that is awesome game.
Trust me… it’s not.

If you haven’t tried it already, save yourself some time and don’t try it at all.
Fast mob respawn rate will kill your will to play the game, especially if you are used to such sophisticated systems in GW2.
BnS just looks cheap. Mobs scattered around wihout any sense. Insane high respawn rate and trust me population isn’t there to justify it. If you pull 3 mobs, by the time you kill third, first one will respawn and you will pull him again..
Just stay away from that game, trust me.

EDIT: Forgot to mention their awesome idea of WPvP… just lol. It’s literally like this:
- equip a faction costume and tag yourself for pvp
- attack someone while he is reading quest as he is not able to see anything cept quest npc due to zoom in kitten while taking quest
- kill him
- unequip costume and smile in his face as he is not able to attack you anymore

Also… it’s seriously stupid to watch ppl fight in same camp (quest hub) for no kitteng reason while guards stay there doing nothing.
WPvP in BnS in a nutshell:
“OMG he wears red shirt – ATTACK!!”
*taking off pvp tag
“In ya face, can’t touch me”

Yep… it’s literally like that.
Were those guys on some drugs while they were making that game?

How to improve the Wardrobe System

I know I’ll get trolled for this but…

… just copy/paste Rift’s wardrobe system. If you actually play the game you would see how amazing it is. Best wardrobe system I had chance to see.

My top 3 would be: Rift > GW2 > LOTRO

Can you PLEASE remove profession wins from daily achievement progress?
Would be nice if you removed it from “Year of Ascension” progression too, but it’s too late I guess.

I could live with removing them from daily ach progression only.

Why?

People join RANKED games with classes they simply don’t know how to play.
People are making characters JUST for daily ach. progression.

Isn’t that… stupid?

Don’t wanna write an essay about this, you all know you hate when you see a team-mate in ranked arena on a “daily chars”. It’s kinda obvious it’s “daily char” cuz you can’t just be THAT BAD on your main character.

We can only benefit from this.

- less rage
- less QQ
- more balance between teams

EDIT: I guess you could re-work it to 2 wins with any profession for 33% of progression.

JTG sounds reasonable. Game lacks basic features and yet some ppl here want housing and some other kitten. Wanna play Sims? Go play sims.

What I want them to realize and fix is something I posted in similar topic last night, so i’ll just copy / paste it.

- less waypoints (this world feels like some browser based mmo world, so tiny and small)

- less loading screens ( They boast about having huge world yet I feel like playing Neverwinter or Vindictus, an instance based mmo)

- interactable objects ( it’s an RPG after all, this game shows zero effort in encouraging you to RP)

- more story involved INTO THE WORLD ( this game has no story in terms of small details behind some random npc which you would remember, no such details here. GW2 has only basic good vs evil crap story mode and that’s it. Yes you got few choices but outside of it this game is bare as bone when it comes to lore and storyline details. And don’t come to me saying “go read on wiki” and such kitten. I came here to play a kitten game, not to read a wiki. And yeah, I REFUSE to PURCHASE STORY from gem store, its IDIOTIC. You telling me I have to farm gold to transfer them to gems to buy STORY ? Are you that deluded?)
- immersion (it’s hard to immerse yourself into a world where you see names like “omg u suck” “big kitten baws” etc etc. Yes graphics are nice, soundtrack is amazing but naming policy of GW2 has to be the worst one ever. Who thought that giving players ability to name chars using space TWO TIMES was good idea? Sack him, now! Your game is playfield of morons competing in whose name is more silly. Is that what you wanted? )

- Unranked / Ranked deathmatch or capture the flag map (why isn’t it there already? I’m sick of getting ppl who think that every map is kittening Warsong Gulch. Ppl fight on roads, thinking that their kill will change the outcome of match… I soloq all the time and would really like to have such map modes where at least than road fights would make some sense. This bunker down pvp kitten is HORRIBLE, just awful.
I mean… dude attacks me and by the time I drag my kitten to point he got 30% of my hp down and forces me to waste healing cd. If I attakced him on road I’d waste precious time cuz that point would generate score in other team’s favor. I loose in both ways… Get MORE MAP MODES, this is getting boring and its utterly STUPID. This isn’t pvp, this is “who gets there first – wins” type of competition)

- somehow make ppl to talk to each other ( this game is least social mmo i ever played. yes grouping happens instantly, yes loot is yours and yours only etc etc… But, do you feel like playing mmo or a single player game with ability to see other ppl playing the same game? Please, be honest. You show up and you shut up. Boss fight starts, 40-50 ppl around you, maybe 1 word or two and thats it. Why? Cuz bosses are kitten easy, like most of the stuff here. Ppl just fly trough content here. I felt no challenge while I was leveling. Did 100% world exploration without saying a word. Playing pvp with ppl who are saying 1 word entire match and thats “hi” before match starts. MMO should be social experience, GW2 is not. That’s why i only do sPvP here. Pretty much gave up on all other stuff as it feels like some console single player arcade. )

Signatures are way to tiny

Plain, unimaginative, basic.

No titles or labels for users who are guide authors (valid, acknowledged guides) & fan site owners and operators.

From a company which developed one of the best games in industry you would expect a forum to follow game’s design.
This forum forum looks like a forum of some medical institution.

Take a peak into Rift’s forum to see how it’s done properly.
Wildstar also has good, feature rich forum.

Sorry, I like the game but I seriously dislike this plain, basic, feature lacking forum.
It’s one of reasons I’m less active here than on forum of other games.

something similar happened in Lord of the Rings Online…
random guy appeared with not some random ideas…

Over 2 years his thread got bumped up, praised, adored and worshiped.
(I’m talking about kinship revamp thread, if anyone knows about it)
Thread got like 300k views and over 10-15k replies.
Not a single reply was from staff.
Ideas were just ignored and some slight portions of it were bad implemented.

I hope this won’t be the case here.
First of all, UI of GW2 causes huge fps problem and it already requires attention.

If I may be honest with all of you, I never had any issues with UI design. Less is more for me, and I don’t like flashy stuff.
Your UI looks amazing, but Coherent UI application already has allot issues with fps drops and with built in video links and all those tiny and not so tiny details you placed there would probably cause even more fps drop when opened.

Priorities first. We need lighter UI not flashy and shiny.
It looks amazing but in this state of game would just not work.

If they would fix their own UI problems first, only than your amazing ideas would came to it’s true potential.

What’s the lore behind having no mounts?

Greenpeace? Animal rights?
Seems to me races of Tyria are plain stupid. They are able to develop flying ships, tanks, turrets and still walk on foot. I wonder how the hell walking on foot contributed to all those achievements they made?? They gotta ride something… something gotta help them out to get stuff to certain places, or they just drag it tied with ropes all across the land… yea… that’s probably it.
Seriously, what’s the lore behind having no mounts :P ? It’s stupid.

I wish they could just delete every kitten waypoint and that “blurry portals” between zones and just give us random stuff to ride.

I wanna go here? LOADING
Ohh champ spawned there? LOADING
Look! Another champ and blue tag!! LOADING
Ok, time to salvage and sort stuff in bank! LOADING

There is too much instances and loading screens. Before I bought the game I heared it’s open world. Well it’s not.
Having mounts doesn’t make the game look like kitten WoW. This is most unique game I’ve ever played. And believe, me there are some seriously bad, kittened up unique stuff here. Already mentioned two of them but since topic about mounts would go into other stuff.

I just think game would be alot better and more immersive if there was MORE traveling and LESS loading.
This is the best looking great game graphic-wise and still it’s so hard to immerse yourself into the world with all those invisible walls and waypoints, loadscreens…

Such stuff really turns you down from going out of “boxed areas” in which everyone is supposed to be.
I was always the one trying to reach most difficult places.
I’ve learned to live with fact that every now and than I get loading screen (which breaks sense of open world), but when I realized that they limited our movement even more with these “walls” I was truly disappointed.

Game is gorgeous and it’s a real bummer to have such limited area of movement.

http://postimg.org/image/cjb5fsbzz/ ( hitting the “wall” while desperately trying just to go down, even at cost of possible death )

Why do we have terrain that we can’t reach just cuz developers said NO?
At least put some trees there, put high angled terrain so we can’t climb up… anything but this.

This totally drives me off from REAL world exploration.
100% map can be completed in few weeks of casual gaming and it’s not a challenge for anyone who truly explored the world in any mmo.
100% map completion is not exploration, it’s necessary evil you gotta pass to get legendary weapon.

There will never be harder game than vanilla wow, Naxx40 is hardest and most time consuming group content ever created in gaming industry.
Only 0.1% of US playerbase actually completed that raid.

After 1.12.1. WoW patch every game went downhill in terms of hard content. (including WoW itself)
Making content that will be reachable to 5% of playerbase and which will be completed by even less percentage is not profitable.

Even tough I personally like the idea of hard stuff (I’ve recently started on fresh launched vanilla wow server) I don’t think we will ever witness seriously hard gameplay ever again.

By playing most of tittles out there I can say from my own experience that GW2 is ok in terms of difficulty. It’s not super easy…

This is what you get when someone gets used to this game’s revolutionary aspects.
If you find tasks tedious I dare you to try any other mmo to feel what tedious truly means.

There is like 10-15 hearts/quests/tasks at average per map. In all other mmos I played you are FORCED to do like 30 at minimum and backtrack all the way down to npc which gave you certain quest.

Maybe this genre just isn’t for you…

There are many ways to make places unreachable.
It’s easy to just put invisible obstacle in our way and claim “if you could jump/go there that’d be gamebreaking/exploiting/too easy.”

What ArenaNet should have done is to design maps on such way that we dont need stuff like invisible obstacles/walls.
I found one very stupid example in Divinity’s Reach on my banker toon.
Take a look at screenshot below:
http://postimg.org/image/uddu9wtgt/

From that post I’m standing on, it’s not possible to jump on that tree. It wont even let you fall down from the post. You just end up hitting the “wall” and keep moving sideways until you eventually fall down.

On this pic you can see that I should be able to jump forward. Well… I can’t.

http://postimg.org/image/qsn0o5amx/
This is picture taken when I was looking for way to get to kinda difficult vista in Dredgehaunt Cliffs. As you can see, under me there is wooden platform and I’m standing on egde of the fence with NOTHING in front of me.
For some reason I can’t jump down and continue my way to vista. I had to travel all over the other side, climb up in circles just to realize I have to jump on the SAME way just from other place.

Anet PLEASE…
I appreciate your efforts over rewarding the exploration but this is not the way to do it. I felt so bad about that “kitten logic” moment. I don’t want to have such moments in this game.

Exploration shouldn’t have borders, boundaries, limits, whatever. I should be able to jump where I want and how much I want.
Discovering vistas is not exploration. It’s finding predefined way to certain place which is of serious importance for game in case you aim for world completion or legendary weapons.

Now I will sound like idiot to most of you and you will say “go play <random game> if you like it so much”. I’d ask you to look at things from other point and hear me first before you put on the hater face, cuz this is by no means hater post.

Rift and WoW have great examples of world exploration. It’s not about achievements, it’s about getting somewhere where none would ever go. Finding those secret, “glitchy” places…
Even falling trough textures is more realistic than stuff from two posted screenshots. I enjoyed exploration in Rift. I climbed to every kitten mountain which looked interesting to me. And it wasn’t for nothing. Usually there would be some artifact placed there (those who play(ed) know what I’m talking about).
Thing is, there wasn’t some predefined way to get there. Even it had some reward on top of that mountain five players could get there on five different ways, while here we all have to find that ONE and only developer defined way to get to vistas.
That’s a let down imo… and not exploration but a path-finding game.

I’m sure there are more screenshots of “kitten logic” moments, where you can’t go somewhere just cuz “air is to tight and you can’t pass”… I took two of the most recent I encountered.
If you got any post them.

Once again – this is not a hater post. I enjoy this game and would like to enjoy it more. This aspect could be improved for the joy of the all of us.

how does pvp work here

I’m lvl 70 atm and I joined unranked arenas to tryout some pvp.

I found myself fighting besides lv 20, lv3, lv80 while other team was full 80.
I couldn’t use any of my utility skills that I use in leveling.

We ofc were eaten alive, I was getting 3-4 shotted.
Where is the sense there?
Can someone explain how this stuff works? I was reading that “everyone is equal” in pvp here and this system is actually good.
It’s not what I got as my first impression.

Yes, I’m aware that you get scaled up to 80. But what’s the point if you still wear crap weapons and deal lot less dmg than some 80.

reading all of these posts makes me wonder how Anet feels now.
I was obviously right in post few pages back.

Anet.. dont let this plague spreads on other social networks. Speak with your playerbase more regarding this issue.
Your game is buy to play and tell me who is willing to invest 60$ in game that might NOT run well even on high end specs.
Who would be foolish enough take such risk?

I know for certain that if I read about this issue somewhere else and came to forum to check the “facts” and saw this… kitten sure I wouldn’t buy your game.

Think about it… kittenstorm approaches in less than few weeks if you dont fix this.
And yea… HoT is announced so this is definitely not a way to have performance issues.

Considering that GW2 is an international game and pot is 100% legal in countries like Amsterdam, I highly doubt it matters at all. Be a good bloke and smoke a toke, just don’t go broke or have a stroke. Mkay?

Amsterdam is not a country son.
You smoke too much.

EDIT: Holy cabbage, just saw a guy saying Berlin, London and Washington are countries. Not sure if it’s just a bad english.
I refuse to believe that there such illiterate people out there. I mean cmon, wtf, you can’t be that dumb :P

FPS DROP after Patch

im absolutely gunna cry if they tell us to screw out and get a better computer when the fps problem is not able to be fixed.

if that happens they lost 30% of player base at least.

Not to mention the bad comments on youtube driving ppl away from purchasing the game and upcoming expansion.

This issue simply must not be ignored. Revert the changes if it has to be done just give ppl back their old fps.

On my crappy dual core 2,2 athlon, 3gb Ram, and ASUS EAH 5450 1gb, i noticed minor fps drop. From 25-20 to 18-20.
It’s still huge loss for me, but considering that some ppl lost 50fps I feel lucky :P

Fix this or face consequences that might come. Dont turn overall friendly community into mad people that will drive off your future customers trough social networks.
World is global village now, what happens here doesn’t stay here :P Think about it and fix this kitty kitty.

that’s all nice and sexy but people are playing 50% lower fps cuz of few sliders which aren’t necessary to enjoy an mmo.

1st person camera is just there for pve, and even in pve still can’t perform good as 3rd person. It’s an mmo… rpg, not shooter.
This camera kitten was totally not needed.

FPS DROP! (AFTER PATCH)

my friend has i7 intel proc. 16GB ram, 2 gb gpu…
22fps on low settings.

I have crappy dual core 2,2 3gb ram, 1gb gpu
23fps in same zone on medium settings

Something in that patch probably made some stuff less compatible with specific hardware. If you take a look in GW2 folder, it’s size is same and that patch had 1,6gb. They replaced stuff, not added stuff. So compatibility could be an issue.

At least it’s what I think…

if you have more than 2gb RAM, seriously, upgrade your systems to windows 7.
It takes less than 10minutes to complete install.

You dont have to erase data since it offers the option to just upgrade your current system without data loss.

Check if some of your friends have bootable Windows 7 disk and do the job.

speak what you want but most annoying stuff still remains…

i7 having 22fps on low settings – before patch 70-80 fps on max
annoying voices every few seconds…

For big part of community game has become unplayable.

I never had problems completing zone events even with downscaled 80s beside me. Leveling here is extremely easy and you get xp for doing basicly anything.

They should focus on fixing the fps drop thing instead of something like this. I saw no change at all. It’s minor stuff or it’s been nerfed already due to a massive btching festival.
