Desolation are not that good WVW server when it all comes around, they just have the night crew that helps them getting the points, there is no skills involved killing NPCs at towers.

I would like to see these achievements put in for next season.

Upgrade Towers
Upgrade Castles

It’s in Bloodtide Coast in case you’re wondering in the cave on storm bluff isle. It’s the only POI that doesn’t show on the big map.

Thanks, I’ve been in that cave like a year ago, must have missed that one, only got the first POI when entering.

I cant find the last one, every zone have full account on the POIs none is missing and still I’m missing someone.

It’s kinda weird when you hover over the zone name on the world map and every zone is completed and yet for some odd reason one POI is missing.

Can anyone help me please.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but you guys were complaining because they nightcapped you and now you are celebrating because you nightcapped them?

Me and many other stayed up late into the night just to get ahead, I whent to bed 3am.
We didn’t had people from other timezones like FR do, we stayed up.

So despite FR nightcap crew and zoomhackers we got ahead and that is a amazing job from FSP community.

I’m on EU, Far Shiverpeaks, and for the past month I’ve only seen perhaps 1 or 2 commanders who actually made a difference and really commanded, capped, defend, then launch a counter attack while the rest of us defended what we capped, rest of the lot commanders just run around in a big cirlce capping/flipping and saying in chat let em have it we recap it in 15min, really, how kittening fun is that, it’s pointless gameplay.

And yes I’m speaking from my opinion, but really flipping cans and killing npc lords, is it that fun?, or would you rather have great battle defending a keep against the enemy players?

Sadly is that WvW is all about flipping and lemming trains, Is that really fun, no not really but the rewards give people the reason to follow that armchair general.

Why don’t commander players defend and actually command, noooo, its all about flipping, killing npcs lords just to earn those few points, a real commader defend what he capped, read what happens and attack or defend depends whats going on, instead the lemming train of 50+ go for a sup camp and 15min later the tower thew just capped is lost.

Flipping is a good tactic sometimes but come on, flipping is THE tactic now and sadly it kills WvW in the long run.

Leading a lemming train capping towers and camps defended with NPCs dont make you a good commander, a good commander defend what he capped AGAINST other players AND make a counter attack and hopelfully cap another tower/camp.

OP I can understand you if we are talking about other themepark mmos such as RIFT,LOTRO and a like, but come on you are playing GW2, just explore other zone for an hour or so, you prolly gonna do that anyway if you are aiming for world completion so I really don’t see any problem here.

I’m on OP on this, WvW has gotten very shallow and boring, commanders are running round capping tower——-caping camp——capping tower——-capping camp——-losing tower——-losing camp——-losing tower—-losing camp and the cycle starts all over again.
So these lemming blobs running around a big circle capping loosing capping loosing.

I mean I thought people played for the PVP not PVE, but sadly these armchairs generals do play it for the PVE, its all about the chest in the end, screw defending let em have the tower we recap it in 10min so we get our shinies.

Ok they speak of no bosses respawn in personal story but duuuuh really?, thats just damage control, how many bosses respawn in singleplayer RPG?, thats right NONE, they made a blunder and saying bu bu bu but we meant no bosses in personal story.

If you listen to the manifesto they sead basicly they dont want to make another generic MMO were bosses respawn every 10min, I can’t make the conection they are talking about personal story in that sentence, they are talking about GW2 as a whole and Anet stay true to that in some extent if you are looking at the Orr temple runs and other areas, and then we have Queensland that basicly kittens it up.

There are several other things in Manifesto that don’t add up, sure It’s a old trailer, but please if that’s not what GW2 is all about anymore, please take it down from the main page then.

They made it quite clear that the “Bosses don’t respawn after 10 min” referred to the Personal Story. In which case it is very much true.

Another thing to keep in mind is the fact that a Manifesto != 100% end product but rather just a plan and an intention.

Can you please link that beacuse as far as I know that was NOT anything about personal story, how can a boss respawn in a solo instance?

I have played GW2 since beta 1, more and more I see the GW2 manifesto getting more and more untrue.

Here is my latest " crusader" look

I play duel sword/longbow specced cond/crit, and It works great in most sistuations, It works really well against enemy zergs, they bleed/burns like hell while the rest of my teams finish them off.

Norton AV tends to be a recourse hog and many people have reported during the years that Norton AV is draining FPS in some games for some odd reason, there is even post on Norton own forums about the problem.

Just for fun turn off your AV before logging in and see how much FPS you get.

So farming champs for rep to get uniqe armour set and weapons are not ok, I mean my topic has been buird 3 times, and I dont see why.

I mean you guys still farm Queens champs right, wny not expand it like I wrote, grind is grind, we all need our grind If we cant find our grind carrot stick we quit.

You all who have done the personal story to the end and the death of the elder dragon Zaitan, what the NPCs sead basicly is It’s only clean up job that remains to clear out Orr, they also sead that other elder dragons were around but that’s besides the point.

Will Orr be a “happy” place in the future via living story that Anet been feeding us or are we still gonna fight Risen in Orr 2 years down the road?

I think so long as the things you get are truly and purely cosmetic, as you stated, it wouldn’t be so horrible, lol. I would say this needs to be taken a step further and make the rewarded armor have no class. This way if I’m wearing light armor, I can have the same armor skin as the guy wearing medium and heavy, so we can all look and say, “Wow, that guy did that rep grind? Cool armor!”. Or something along those lines. Weapons, obviously, need to stay within the weapon classes, nobody needs a longbow with a rifle skinned over it.

I would love to be able to use light and medium armour as a cosmetic look, then we can truly make some amazing outfits, just improve the city outfit system for this.
And yes as I stated the rep traders will only sell unique cosmetic sets.

Would be nice if more could post their inputs on the matter.

Well in WoW, LOTRO and other games that have rep grinding is indeed boring due to you have to do selective few dailes quests and/or killing mobs in a specific zone.

But in GW2 you have the whole world to do you “rep grinding”, races and orders are scattered all over the place, this will help spread people out more and you are not locked in just one place.
Doing GW2 DEs are far more fun than doing LOTROs or WoWs dailes.
In each zone there are several DEs some small and some big ones, you get your rep points how long you have been part of the event, and how big the event is.

There are several different races living in Tyria with their own lore and background, It’s all very intresting but why not go one step further with it.

Make all of them into a faction system that you as a player can help them to raise your faction toward that specific race you helped, better standing you have more unique items you can buy from a specific faction trader.

With this system people will spread out a lot more to do events to save a Quagan village or a Char outpost.
Sure this can be called a grind but the thing is games are a grind in It’s rawest foundation to begin with so why not make a faction system.

Queensdale Champ speed runs is really idiotic beyond any reasoning.
Champs should have a random spawn timer from lets say 10min up to 2-3 hours imo.

I have also been “abused” by these so called champ owners due to I helped 2 of my friends who have only been playing GW2 for 2 days to experience fighting a champ and trigger it, why I didn’t let em join the train was the simple reason that to experience GW2 in a propper way when you are new is playing the game hence doing whatever you feel like doing, explore this, kill that vet there, trigger a event or find a troll in a cave.

When sead person sead i ruined the rotation I responded simply that I have as much right playing this game as you have so please don’t dictate me how I should playing GW2 with my friends.

I must say that the invasions are ok as a living story content not in a permanent way.
Because lets be frank the invasions are crude and static kill zone that clogger up the map, making them permanent really is the wrong direction for Anets “living” world vision when invasions as we see them now are pretty much static.

Yeah I am kinda stunned sometimes when I read on this forum and over at mmorpg.com that people are complaining that there are no tutorial, nothing to help them getting started when the tutorial is staring right at them in the launcher.

Look at LOTRO they have many many many titles from the simple things like pie runner to epic titles like Slayer of the shadows, Troll Slayer ect.
I have always been a title hunter always liked getting odd and funny ones like Dull, The harrased, the naughty and so on.

Would be fun if GW2 also put in some more titles.

Well it depends how much hour each day you put into gaming, sounds like you play a lot hence you earn a lot of gold.

Many good advice in this thread but I would also give you one.

Try NOT to look at the exp bar, just play the game and the levels will just fly by.

Buy all you need from Trader all the way up to lvl 80, selling mats and trash gives you enough money to outfit all armour,trinket and weapons as rare.
Save karma as much as possible use only whe you see an item that might look good on you not for stats.

Was hoping for SLI support, would be nice to break 100 fps barrier.

I have tried most driver an they don’t really boost my fps so I settled with the ones I know working good 306.97 ones.
I don’t have FPS issues in PVE or WvWvW but I would like to know how the drivers after 306.97 works, any increase is FPS,smooth,sli comp ect?

If you have 4 80s and one soon 80 then yes I can understand you are bored, I would to with that amount of time invested into GW2.

Same thing happend to me 5 days ago, I haven’t been hacked ever since I started playing MMO with UO.
Only thing that was missing was my gold and my stuff I had in the bags and some things in my banks but the toon itself was intact so was all my mats, so I guess It just gotten hacked when I logged in.
So now I’m in the process to change email to yet another newly created one.
I suspect there is a new email hack out now which is much easier to hack emails even if It’s newly created since we have email as login and not a chosen login name which I prefer.

I haven’t been playing for atleast 3 weeks, So I desides to jump in and do some gaming.
Tried to login in but my PW was changed and I thought kitten I’ve been hacked so I recovered it.

I logged in and excpecting my toons to be stripped naked and my bank and my mats gone.

Well only thing missing was the 3 gold, I had 3 gold and 9s to be exact.
So I thought that was weird, my armor and weapons on my main and all my alts could easly give more than 1g a top fo the 3gs I lost.

Here is the thing, I have never been hacked since I started playing MMOs since Meridian59, I have always been careful with mails,passwords,logins, I never download things from wierd places.

Somehow I must have been infected with a keylogger somehow but can’t fathom how, I use Karpersky internet security and have a hardware firewall within my router.
I didn’t get any email notification that my account being loggied in from another location either and I only use that mail to reg games and forums sites.
I have run all sorts of scans, I used search and destroy,malware,windows own scanning tools and used Kapersky search tools and nothing found.

Not much loss to my toons but the feeling of being really odd hacked left me to believe how could I have prevented this or is Anets own database being hacked like SOE got a while back?

You specced your toon wrong your out of the group attidude is selfish imo.
For me I spec that works for me and if I find the spec be faulty or not doing that good I respec simple as that.

I have a lvl 61 Warrior, lvl 54 Guardian and lvl 51 Ranger and I find that Guardian is best in PVE and Warrior a close second of those 3 classes I haven played.

I tried this and I haven’t seen any better results from forcing AA but forcing Anisotropic to x16 seems to sharpen the textures.
Of course Anisotropic filtering is designed to do just that but here is the deal, many people say It’s impossible due to GW2 can’t be forced to do these things.
So have anyone else tried to do this and seen improvements?

I can understand your frstation but the thing is, It’s not a simple fix, think about it crash related issues are as many as there are gaming PCs not that easy to track down.
