I got to 7 minutes and thought that is odd, I don’t think I have seen them fight anyone who wasn’t already fighting someone else. They also don’t really seem to be doing anything.
I mean I’m sure you had some sort of plan or goal for the night that wasn’t just sneak up on people fighting someone else?
Well, everything in the video took place in about 40 minutes of EB. It started out as a training session, teaching DDLG the same small roaming tactics, just applying it to a larger group. We were looking for fights, and my mindset being hit and run. You should never go head on into a Zerg with a Zerg, that’s a potentially long fight. However if you can surprise them on the first hit, or come in when they’re at disadvantage it can greatly change the outcome of the fight. Both sides had even, if not more numbers, therefore we’d hit the stronger group, pull out, re rally and flank the stronger force, which is usually pushing over the downed group we just hit. We wanted the guildies to get used to that type of movement, because as shown in the video it really works when done properly.

Made some friends with GOM’s RISE last night doing some 2v2 duels. Was a hell of a lot of fun. Were chasing after us with a group of 4-5 and we ran half way across the map before we realized they were just trying to duel. xD haha also ran into HOES guild…. Well a seven man group with a few uplevels. [Bags] thanks you for that second hit at the ruins sentry, seemed we caught you by complete surprise.
Matchup has been so much fun thank you everyone for making it that way.

Yes I did. If you look at the hits he does on me you’ll see he does very low damage for a glass cannon thief. I was messing around with a super tanky support build used for larger groups that focuses on reflecting projectiles and retaliation uptime, definitely not a 1v1 spec build. He got me that time, everyone loses now and then. :P
Also, reading his description I’m starting to come to this conclusion: SPCA have been disrespecting ADQQSTY on the forums because I tea bagged Tievospy.

Been having fun with the [Bags] roaming guild. The fights in NSP BL have been great the last few days. Looking forward to seeing more HV and XOXO out there ;D
Still liking the matchup, seems all servers lost numbers over night, so us DR have been trying to close the gap in the off hours. Been doing well in GoM, they seem to dedicate all forces to SM first, borderlands second. Hehe i guess we’re not the only ones.
Anyway, came back from AFK to find a guildie dueling an SPCA thief. Got some laughs off the chat, QQing never fails to entertain.
Had a few failed attempts at SM today, was a lot of fun. I think everyone got a little taste of tier 1 with the ridiculous skill lag. Thats probably why all three servers were locked up in SM lord room for 2 hours. I got maybe 1 skill off every 4-5 seconds if I was lucky. Glad I found an arrow cart though because badges were definitely aplenty for the DR holding that second and third floor with me.
Awesome fights tonight with SPCA, glad they were even numbers. You guys are like ALL bunker builds, with one glass thief. No me gusta bunker build. ADQQSTY LIKE HULK SMASH BIG NUMBERS
Most of my play resides backed up at my spawn, not because I die a lot. But because i’m so good at not dying and running into my invulnerable spot.
To the SPCA thief, quit QQing that you guys don’t have numbers. Oh wait, nobody wants to play with a kitten, so it makes sense now. Ego level must be over 9000.
On a good note, had some awesome fights with XOXO the other night. Played some 2v2’s and 3v3’s for a good couple hours. Looking forward to more fights like that. Props to the phantasm mesmer, I couldn’t do anything to your 1900 toughness.
Tots you do realize that the damage you hit is very crappy right? My necro hits 1-3k auto attacks first two hits,4-6k on 3rd dagger strike. 20k dmg aoe well bombs. Endless amounts of HP. So what you said just backs my argument. And caveth, thieves have stealth/aoe stealth very powerful cluster bomb damage with medium armor and insaine speed. You are basically saying a moa bird and portal is worth no damage. Well then ill exchange my port/moa for damage please, plus mesmers are the slowest running class aswell.
Okay I’m running a build with 1400 toughness. Ill break down the damage in my aoe spike.
4 clone shatter #2 skill = 3-4k damage
Mirror images leap right after for another 4 clone mind wrack =8-10k damage.
Swap for immobile and blurred frenzy while you do the mind wrack = 5-6kdamage.
I can do that burst in under 2 seconds, tell me that’s not a lot of damage. That’s easily 15-20K damage + 12 stacks confusion.(15-20k depending on crits.) And while mirror is recharging I have blurred+ 4 clone mind wracks which can do 10-15K damage spikes every 8 seconds.
Edit: I spend most of my time solo roaming and with all the stealth and the ability to use portals I find mesmers extremely mobile and can outrun almost every Zerg I see coming. It’s about breaking combat and way pointing, sometimes it’s the smartest move. I suggest air runes, an absolute must for solo or roaming mesmers, the added mobility helps a little.
I’ve been running shatter on my mes since day one, ran confusion a few times but didn’t like it. I can honestly say I haven’t noticed a difference on the effectiveness of my build. I hit 806 damage with my 12 stacks of confusion on my shatter burst and 2K+ per clone for the spike. Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.
Edit: yes eles can tank better but have you ever fought one? They have kitten damage in the tank spec. They have good burst heals and cc but other than that the tank spec doesn’t accomplish much.
Someone has to fuel the fire, these threads get boring. It’s just a way of saying we want to see you out there. Don’t think too hard about it
On a side note I have to be sort of kittengy after your charr ele friend talked all that smack, and jumped in on clear 1v1s that he witnessed the start of. As for you Xoxo ive enjoyed the fights and duels I’ve gotten with you, and look forward to the next few weeks.
Had a few good fights at fight club tonight. Cant wait for next weeks. Was hoping to see some SPCA\XOXO but they must have been better than everyone there so they didn’t bother showing. Oh well, maybe next time.

Very nice present from GoM tonight trying to be sneaky and go around the zerg ball to NSP’s bay, the flame ram god has been pleased with your sacrifice.
As a DR commander I can say that we cap all those POI’s at least once every couple days, just spend a little more time checking up on wvw. At least you’re not tier 1 where people wait weeks.
So, held darkhavens NW tower to farm them, and IoJ showed up in force, and got shown how DR rolls because kitten did you guys get wiped. Say hello to DDLG ;D
I’m sorry I took a really long time to post this. This event happened during last week’s match-up.
DR was able to get into Sunnyhill without breaking any walls/gates. I was wondering how are they able to get inside? It’s funny because they had golems at the gates, but the next moment they are in without the gates falling… Can anybody please explain? Is it a glitch or an exploit?
That was me, I am a mesmer, some how when we were pvdooring I used swap, my sword 3, and it put me inside the tower. I’ve tried this bug many times now, but that was the only time it worked, don’t worry I already submitted the bug report from that night.
On another note, I tried manning an arrow cart from a 50 inch screen, still cannon see over the wall, tried setting up my eyefinity 3-screen setup, still cannot aim an arrow cart over the wall. Yes there’s more to see on a big screen but in turn everything else is bigger as well.
…Well at least the hour of badge farming in your East Keep was fun.
All that siege and you let me sneak a portal in with 8 guildies to end it. so close, too bad you couldn’t pull off what we did to you on Monday. Talk about badges hahaha :P better luck next time
Score update for anyone wondering, very close this week. Been fun today, pretty impressed by how many IoJ and DR have been fielding because of how close it is.
Yea i cried for you, they didnt know what we were doing. I yelled at em for you! Afterward they were good little dudes and watched/participated. Good fight to the Mesmer in AD, was a blast =) had to go though sorry no rematch.
That was me, I can never make the fight clubs because of the time but that duel had me worn out anyway, probably one of my longest fights, aside from some kitten guardians. Good fight though, I’m sure we’ll meet again haha..
Man Oozo, were you in that fight where we [PD] kept getting pincered by the adnoqq guys into the IoJ masses by a NW tower (We were catting it and then almost everyone else got wiped)? Your tactical withdrawal and come from behind massacre to us was pretty nice – we were just starting to make ground against them. In the back of my head I knew it was coming tho, I just didn’t have the foresight to get our guys out lol. We were having a helluva battle there including when ya’ll showed up, that was a ton of fun.
Hope to see ya’ll out there more!
PS: just got my char guardian leveled and equipped so maybe I won’t die as often in those crazy situations.
Yeah that was us, hit IoJ first but then quickly figured out DH was more organized, wiped both of you on the third run around, was a hell of a lot of fun last night.

5 man fully upgraded garrison full supply, 6 man garrison with waypoint during primetime, and 4 man hills just now while you were zerging our SW tower. Quit zerging and start scouting!!

I think you would like dr, it’s similar to how mag was when it was only the mumble crew. A few of us have been pushing to unite the server on our public ts, but maybe 20-30 people using it regularly besides on reset. Come on tsarazi come teach these guys the art of portal bombs, you’d have a lot of fun with adqqsty.
I agree, every time I fight a thief I’m just completely and utterly overwhelmed by their ability to spam number 2. They are way too overpowered and should be removed from the game.
