I completely mean to write a longer post when I can find the time.
But in case that never happens, I just want to comment to the daily achievement portion of the LS achievements: I love it! I could finish halloween and I did not have to do stuff I did not want to do. I especially adore the pumpkins, clocktower and trick or treat bag ones.
Concern is, that these have been required for this halloween. Maybe it was the case with some of the earlier ones? I can’t remember now.
Another thing. I absolutely love Scarlet. She is so much fun.
I just want to throw in my opinion of that the gathering tools should be made account bound and always be that way.
I would not buy them at that case either since I just don’t like the idea of unlimited tools but it would just be so much more customer friendly.
Trahearne is my favorite thing in the later storyline. The story itself was, I think… okay. Yup, played the game until the second last instance (since I won’t do the last one) and was perfectly happy.
And trying to continue to be so. I was really surprised after I went reading about stuff after playing as far as I decided to play. I just can’t see things the way many others seem to… Would not want to, either.

If they were also available as skins it would be all the same for me, but I do like my town clothes. I would not buy a skin and have to use it on blue armor so that only some of my characters can wear it (medium, light…), but I do buy town clothes. Fun for all of them.
I have bunch of this fluff, I can just sit in game to play for ages… in my home instances. >:D
(I have never done costume brawl, outside of some hits by accident, then I rush to cancel all costume brawl stuff and check that I didn’t accidentally get anything to the achievement… no, I have no idea how costume brawl works. :P)

Yes, please let me drag the bank tabs. I like the double click moving stuff, but I would also at the same time keep some order in that chaos it always ends up being.
I already often move my inventory bags around to get items like I want them.
I once went though lot of characters making threats in my mind to the one who left her dandelions in the storage. >.>
(By the way, she is fine. :P)
Search is an amazing tool. But let me search for soulbound/account bound as well. And the things I keep, would not mind some filtering options, but that might go mite too complex. (I do often sort things so that I need to move them several times with different searches to get them right)
I also agree with the gold deposit. The account wide wallet was an unpleasant change for me.
Edited: I just remembered the dandelion girl was the one who stored my money and bought / sold / took the money from the trading post. My dandelion girl misses her job. :/

There is always the concern for accidentally using items. But I would like a consume all option. Even with a confirmation window. Actually, that would be excellent.
I’m not sure how often people will need to open consumables a lot though… since I don’t too much.
I am that person who makes stacks the size they want them before use outside of foods/potions.
When I was writing this I saw someone click around 10-20 of some item that has that flashy effect.
Agreed on merchants as well. Sell things to us. I I bought 100 of something from an event merchant. My poor game messages chat log.
As a bit related suggestion. Please always keep luck in consumable items, so that people can avoid it if they so wish.
I can of course not do monthly.
For the miniature equipment slot suggestions, I don’t agree. If I see a miniature in the world, I know someone has taken the time to keep the pet with them and summon it. And they are rarely seen which I find lot nicer and meaningful than people having one automatically following them all. The. Time.
I also like the invisible bags in addition of other sorting bags, and just would not like to see these inventory item mechanics muddled with.
(disclaimer: Outside of few rare living story/festival related inventory bags and 12 slot craftsman and junk bags for two characters, all the rest I have are invisible. I’m still moving from 8 to 12 for many storage characters. To be upgraded again in time, I craft them myself.)
Player housing.
I’m sure I could think of couple of more things. I’ll add tomorrow if I do. It is late.
editing:
Alright, adding two things!
Borrowing this term from few posts down since it’s better worded than I could think of: Expansion level content.
Last but not least: Roleplaying features.

Aw. I didn’t finish them out of laziness, lowbieness, and wanting-to-do-other-things-ness and thought I might be able to get it next (this) year.
This was long before living story with its systems started. Never could’ve imagined this might happen at that time.
The talk of removing any resurrections, in combat or even outside of combat is disturbing. For the latter especially, oh whoops fall damage. Jumping puzzles come to mind. You know, that some people do with friends and have tons of fun…
Then, not everyone cares about gigantic boss events. I get killed sometimes when I try to tolerate attacks while gathering, let alone if I stop by some small-ish event I think is doable. When someone rezzes me, especially in combat, I really appreciate it. I also like to save others the waypoint fee if I can.
If I die during some event and I feel it is out of neglect and have to waypoint which I avoid, I generally don’t go back to risk more fees. And if there was any risk of having to waypoint if I wanted to try to help someone who is in trouble, I doubt I would help anymore.
(I tend to get someone up from downed but get downed myself in the process, oh whoops, but usually I am an elementalist and not alone so don’t worry about me)
Of course when I run with two accounts, I rarely completely die (when I do it is hilarious) and it’s pretty easy for me to help others.
And what is combat/not combat? Me running past some event, see someone who is dead mid combat during some event, rezz them, and continue on my way. Ignoring the event.
^ Experiences from starting zones, largely.
I was bit disappointed the flower hair… when I saw it on a female character. I only saw male characters with it before I checked it. I have to skip it. :/
I’m using the new long hair for a sylvari that I have the most difficult time ever to remake. I wanted her to be blue but I can’t seem to find anything I like. This might take weeks.
For some reason I thought we’d get new faces as well? Some of my sylvari went back to wait, to see if that ever happens.
They’re probably going to release the new faces separately either because they aren’t all finished yet, or because they’re hoping to get people to double-up on Hair / Makeover kit sales. If they released them at the same time then people could just buy one Total Makeover kit to change both, this way they’ll get people buying hair kits for the hair now and later on get people buying makeover kits for the face.
Waiting it is then. I just have so many sylvari characters that I have used my favorite options few times already… and I want to make many more. At least there are plenty of color options.

I did this. It does work.
Hm, I’m looking at some now, indeed says account bound.
(I transmuted the pieces to level 2 white armor, since the characters weren’t high enough to wear it… Later switched it some to other character for a bit. my lowbies get to look good. )

For me the old settings were gone after I had downloaded theTeq patch. So I figure it was changed in that. I only noticed the screenshot folder change now, since I haven’t had time to log in much after the patch yet. :/
My documents folder is called My Freaking Documents Folder by the way, which did make me laugh a bit while I was staring the screenshot notification in state of horror. I can’t remember what game it was that made me change the location and in irritation I had renamed it as well. :P
Anyway, even if I change it to say ‘D’, with the Guild Wars 2 folder it just make really long screenshot notification line in my chat log… It used to be for example Driveletter:/gw2 – w/Screens/filename. Now if just goes on and on and on!
The small things, the small things…
I hope a shortcut command shows up to make the whole thing ‘portable’ software again. :/
edited: Just checked the wiki to see what it was actually called. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Command_line_arguments is what I mean with the commands above.
If I could have the settings file and screenshots back in the game folder I would be happier.
(edited by Traced.3495)
Game settings file is now in different place as well. I found this quite a huge problem for me, I have two accounts and switch them when ever I feel like.
I kept track of screenshots by having different folders for different accounts and window size settings. Each computer has 5 folders at this point… And this possibility is now gone. :/
This is Windows XP by the way, my Windows 7 machine has always very irritatingly buried them in the system files.
I preferred the ‘portable’ software feel this game had on Windows XP.
edit: Oh yeah, screenshots and game settings are now in two different places, which is even more irritating… Hahaha… /cry
I was admiring them the other day, it’s almost like they were made for the Zenith skins, as a duo. Too bad the daggers don’t really show.
Things I never thought I’d say: They really need skimpier clothes.
Thinking about throwing makeovers their way, more Zenith!
-edited- To add picture in some cultural… that I just bought. <3
I also usually play in that small window. Meh.
(I don’t unlock dyes so it’s really bit dull. also far too shiny settings)
-and Weyandt’s- the dagger ele has no idle animations so no one loves her anymore. Hmph!

My precious ranger twins, and most adored necromancer are still babies. (level 2)
I spent ages planning these characters… Everything just has to go perfectly with them! I can’t just let them go out adventuring randomly without meaning.
(well, thinking about it, they are currently being utilized as storage… oh whooops!)
Something like little bit of personality has formed for my two level 80s while I played them, getting ideas from whatever might have been going around me, in or out of game. Nothing too defined. But I really like these two as well.
For throwaway gameplay (dailies in locations I don’t want those two to go) and all these /deaths I have some random lowbie elementalists. They were originally supposed to be temporary characters… nope, can’t delete because attached to them before they even gained 5 levels. I need more character slots.
I also absolutely fixate to a certain weapons for a character. If there’s no weapon swap for them, they only ever get one type. All these staff eles I have…
I’m annoyed at not having a control of this stat.
I much prefer being able to pile MF if I feel like using it. In the future, I can’t have as much MF as I could have now… I have little interest to grind for it if that’s what it ends up being like.
I also like(d?) the trade off. Also a nice reason to have different armor and shinies.
- lowbie open world farmer
(wearing mainly masterwork. And my two candy corn amulets which are the most expensive piece of equipment I think I own. If nothing else, feel free to mourn my candy corn amulets with me. I dread to think what the MF might be replaced with.)
I wouldn’t like anything bad happen to Trahearne. I like him.
…to add, after beating the second last story mission I was the happiest ever because he made it. Made my whole day, basically.
I do agree with you there.
To be clear, I do love the variety they gave to dailies. However, they could have had more people in zones simply by adding “in area X” to the end of each requirement, or AT LEAST a few of them:
- Gather 20 materials in Kessex Hills
- Kill 13 types of enemies in Iron Marches
- Do 5 Events in Sparkflyfen
A good update to dailies, but I was expecting a reason to go to specific zones. Hopefully they take that to heart.
Concern: I have been doing my daily in Caledon/Metrica (basically, in the beginning in the zones) and getting the rest of kill variety in Gendarran… and I like it. It’s easy, it’s close enough… It’s been really familiar. Comfortable. Me = happy. So far it seems I don’t have to change my habit. I like that.
I absolutely would not want to do a portion of a daily on a higher level character if I want to play a lowbie, and I am very selective about where I want each character to go (concerning starting cities/maps). And I don’t want to wander to any far off places I have no interest going that day…
So I would want to vote NO in here.
(edited by Traced.3495)
New daily has been the thing I have been waiting for the most. I liked the static one well enough, only hunting the events down was often a quite annoying for me.
Been reading about them while I wait one more hour to get in game, but I expect to like them. No, underwater combat is no problem for me at all, I like it just fine. Crafting is good. If there’s working combo field one some day, nice.
What I hadn’t caught earlier is the 4/6 thing not being in yet… I hope it happens soon. I’m really lazy, I wanna skip things. >:D
:(
I like Trahearne. Actually he ended up being the favorite thing in the story for me in the end.
Background: Where Life Goes – Sylvari.
(When I first met Trahearne I was more interested in another sylvari in that part of the story. Barely remembered him when I met him again. Then slowly but surely I began to idolize Trahearne just as any NPC in the game does.)
