Twisted Watchwork Moa. A moa! Watchwork! It’s amazing.
Toy Golem is great. Princess Doll is adorable.
Jungle Stalker, because the stalker pet. Air elemental because air elemental herd. Green Moa, I like moas… Sylvan Pup, fern hound is my third favorite pet.
Holographic Scarlet.
She is the only one I can use anymore since the others are in the storage and will be staying there. I bought new ones to be able to summon her.
I’d like a setting like the character model limit/quality that when all players are set to be placeholders (with placeholder weapons and no back items and miniatures preferably, I think they still show up), I’d still see my own party normally.
New playable races are something I would’ve considered really valuable. I love creating tons of different characters.
It’s all about the looks, I don’t care about the stories very much. Something like the biography in character creation is nice, to learn some background detail about characters. I adore my noble and the street rats.
(I only ever played any story one time because stuff just kept distracting me. I did read tiny bit about some of the others)
Reminds me that I hate having to fight. Mostly I just won’t go anywhere at all.
I gather materials, started to skip the nodes with enemies nearby.
Guys, may I ask for a little willing suspension of disbelieve?
We (I among others) asked for three years for a story continuation that would allow us to fell the Blathering Fir of Greater Annoyance. Now that Anet made us that unexpected gift you complain about a missing burial? Seriously. -.-Oh, and about the lacking sylvari funeral rites, I’d suggest conjointly chanting Timber! with a subsequent… bonfire.
I like to imagine that they at Anet are very proud of themselves.
I can travel with my trusted pet Fern and collect all my moas and can even name them, that’s good.
They will be Pink, Green, Black… I’m good at this, thinking of names.
(I don’t actually know what moas there are but I’ll find out eventually)
Also a character customization possibility could be the personality system determining things like battle quotes and idle animations.
Character personality was modified with some NPC discussion options although there was an option in character creation too.
/sigh
Largos, skritt, tengu for me.
I hate their work on traits. It is traits I watch with some interest in case they decide next to overhaul it all to something I don’t hate.
But I know not to get used to that either as Anet is restless, it will once again become something completely different.
I want to remove people on my follower list so that I am also removed from their list. There’s someone who randomly added me during the first beta weekend event and has never played since.
As for updates for contacts list – I’d prefer if there was an invite system so I could deny those who decide to add people they just randomly see. If I have never talked to a person I don’t think I need to be in their contacts.
Make tomes tradeable, I can take them then.
I hate the daily. I won’t touch it.
Character. I am a fan of more stuff.
I like the Black Citadel.
I idle in the home instance, and wish I could have an instanced version of Gladium Canton so I could idle there instead.
If I want a change of environment when I’m looking at my storage I run over to Desider Atum in Metrica Province.
If I want to just aimlessly gather it’s Gendarran Fields. Familiar and nice and I don’t have to run far to get there.
I always have several accounts online and I tend to just be in an instance because it’s my favorite thing to do. The hall is beautiful but it is the loneliest thing to be there too alone.
Home instance stone would’ve also needed the possibility to take a party.
I don’t care about them, or other players, at—- ooh, a there’s a node.
Noooo, do NOT take my tomes. I need them.
Keys could be added to the last day one, as a choice. >:D
(or as an additional reward. I’d also wish there was gold as additional reward. No, I don’t like the daily achievement, and no, I don’t want to sell my loot as I am eyeing the tomes, and no, I will never ever want to touch PvP for any reason, just in before such comment)
Buying them I guess. I bought the Preserved Red Iris Flowers for my twins, because Preserved Red Iris Flower.
I can have them now with all my other flowers in my inventory.
When I was pondering about buying those I also learned about some low level red iris flower items from karma vendor and had to go get them. So I have a small collection. <3
(Flowers remind me about buying Maguuma Lilies for my twins at one gold/flower. Whew!)

More gating, more hand holding, more restrictions, more map metas/too large events… more of these account wide item systems. What they have been doing for over two years. All which I really hate.
As the guy above already mentioned, you need a character within the correct level range. Wiki says level 21 – 35. But if you take a closer look it drops between 21 and 39.
Reason: When you loot a chest, and it scales with your level (ill explain that below), you get loot within a level range between your level and 5 levels below. Now when you are aware of this situation, you may realize that 21 is a horrible level to farm Silver Doubloons. A level like 28 or better 30, leads to no errors about the loot-level.
I wonder about this. Do you mean weapon/armor as well? I used to collect doubloons with a small army of characters, most at level 21, up to 30, and I always got tier 2 upgrade items.
If wool/leather/logs is included too, I think I did get jute/T1 weapons and armor.
I used the LA puzzles and the one in Caledon where you have to go underwater to get there, near the Grove.
I do recall that at some point the non-city JP loot behavior changed so that I always got character level appropriate items, I want to say at the time ascended materials were added. But as it was long ago I can’t be sure.
I wish they did something so I could sell my silver and gold at a high price…
I don’t really like how titles look (or even guild tags), so I very rarely use any. I’m a lowbie anyway, I have maybe… 10 of them.
I like Traveler, with storage guild that I tagged [Time]. Now that I don’t have to worry about guild influence going all messy I could use the combo sometimes.
There’s no other reason to use titles for me.
I love staff eles. It’s simply the looks. I blame Final Fantasy.
Second would be dagger/dagger ele, it’s again because of looks (I have never gotten into it skill wise) and also because daggers are cool, and it’s another ele.
Embrace the gibberish.
Gold. Gems!
Gathering → gold → gems → shiny stuff → repeat.
Randomly remembered Shiro. I’d think there’s a good excuse to add this one.
I wanted Scarlet at one point. One with the regular outfit. I haven’t followed things very carefully but I haven’t heard one being added yet.
I have the two minis of her but at one point I remember thinking that in the armored version her hair is wrong (I guess it was the model too) and now it bothers me.
Largos, skritt, tengu for me.
As always: ritualist.
Idly thinks about the personality system and some different combat/other random quotes for each
……
Tutorials should be completely optional.
They also should stay available for later time, permanently. People can do them in their own time. Could throw some AP in there.
Malyck, my first love.
…And I can’t remember anymore.
I keep dreaming about level 80 scrolls for the fourth birthdays.
After the boost item I’m worrying they might use something like that instead. I don’t care for all the hassle included in the boost item, I just want to instalevel to 80.
I have almost enough tomes to level the characters I want though, just waiting for the birthday to see if there’s better scroll this year. Could get even more characters… :/
I enjoyed the old daily achievements. I could get few AP (yes, I liked that AP) each day. I had no need to grind all the 10 points every day, something that seems to be so important to some others.
I got 1, 3, sometimes all 5, sometimes even 7 or 8 which were pretty awesome days.
(at least I think I remember a time with incredible amount of options some days)
I want nothing to do with the PvP modes. Nothing.
I have understood that they just kind of added this to all the accounts with expansion?
Going with that info, it would be nice if they made the slot an item you could use and only then it would be added. People could be free of it if it doesn’t happen to suit them at that moment.
I’m glad that Anet has said they plan to look at the location of the shared inventory, I feel for those who are irritated by it.
Options, folks.
Well, it is nice to give us a Shared Inventory Slot for free. So thank you.
But can you please give us an option where these slots should be, like moving them like the bags? There was a reason why I didn’t buy any. Because for me it is totally annoying to have that at the top of the inventory.
I would add to this that I would appreciate if these kind of things were usable item so that people could avoid it if they want to do that. It looked to me that this is only for expansion buyers, if so, I successfully avoided it, but at any case, in the event that there ever are surprises like this again.
Not going to touch stuff I don’t want anything to do with. Dungeons, PvP, whatever.
Legendaries defaulted right away as out of reach.
No, I don’t wish that, I want those level 80 scrolls for free. glares at the fourth birthday gift
And/or more sources for the tomes of knowledge.
I wish I could get level tomes from jump puzzle chests. I could level up with things I like doing, that way. I might even be able to tolerate the items that can be changed to tomes when there’s 20 but tomes are much nicer.
And fourth birthday could finally give those level 80 scrolls. Right? Right?!
I don’t care what else is in the game but I want my tomes and scrolls.
I don’t remember exactly but I think I have something like… three gold.
I had maybe around 200 earlier but I spent it/am stuck with stuff because greedy. Have to grind some stuff, for gold to sell some stuff, for gold to sell more stuff. Fees… :/
Seconded. I want several badly but I am not going to pay a lot for them.
Completely expected since it’s not the type of thing to be in these sales, still disappointed every day that there weren’t any very cheap renames.
Watching… waiting.
Fast.
I planned for and got some nice names at launch. I like short, simple names the most.
Later I used two first names for some characters. I don’t like even thinking of last names, that’s too formal. Would be tough for me to look at it.
I don’t remember all the logic I used for yet later characters… I have plenty of one word randomness going on. For some characters I reused several names from another game, origins vary from the name generator of the game to modifying gibberish until it looks like something.
There’s the very occasional silliness like Short Norn which happened because I decided that I’m going to do some character height testing. Eventually became a permanent version but not a serious character. Not actually that short either anymore since height is more serious business than a name.
It can also take time. Around a year ago I finally figured out a decent-ish, short enough name for a character I got to like more than expected. Grinded gems for character slots to keep the names (multiple versions!), next grind was name changes. Now just waiting for an epic sale. I want them cheap, I am greedy.
I could not of course buy full price name changes but character slots were fine… logic! Stupid character, being so pretty… grumbles about all the effort
My charr Raala is my favorite character success. <3
And… a level 2. Maybe the fourth birthday has good enough exp scrolls for me to bother.
My characters. That’s one thing, right?
I remain furious.
I’m watching to see if they throw everything upside down again and change systems randomly, like what happened with traits.
If these were tradeable I’d take them.
I can’t imagine a power in the ’verse able to tempt me to buy anything from Anet. :/
I will probably always be hyped about sales, maybe this time the stuff I want is there and cheap enough… then it never is.
I’ll be here waiting, watching…
I am a ritualist.
However, I am forever stopped at a certain point because there’s stuff I don’t like and I just don’t want to do that, went digging for an old post about it.
The skill buying hit me as punishing ever since I noticed that the price from vendor starts at, I recall, 50 gold (1 gold in Guild Wars = the least possible amount of money) which is cheap, yay… only rising after every skill until it is 1 platinum (1000 gold), and… it just was a negative thing and I still can’t stand it. I did make temporary characters at one point to get monk skills without paying too much but that’s a pain. My monk heroes pretty much only have early skills available to them.
A more cheerful one:
I still love the festivals and outside of those I do some random things. Try collecting traveler items, get Zaishen bounties or missions, farm something, or sort my item collections or whatever.
I don’t like any too difficult stuff though so I haven’t even beaten most of the game. I just wander around.
