after the mass commanders lost problem, the people who do not listen to commanders since the patch (like you SFR) now we have the very worrying DDoS problem. Since 3 days, at the same hours, TS VS down, someone take control of moderator and random ban people, then backup TS down too, and now many TS of guilds DDOsed too… i’m very sad of this. Of course i don’t know who do this, one night i saw some french people insulting and trashing on maps then it crashed just after, dunno if it’s linked.

Guilds gave their TS to help, but now DDosers attack them. 5-6 TS of guilds down in the same time…

Hello, we have really a big, big problem of offpeak commanders at this moment on VS. Like i told you for the last stand, almost 90% has burned out/stopped/fed up of the game. We try to find solutions. Its now worst with the wave of PvE people who want to farm ranks and do not listen. If you have a french friend, try to traduce the linked survey, i asked cmd “Why do you stop?”

Hello ! i have questions for you

1) will you remove, one day, the 5 man limit on AoE? like RTS or other WvW MMOs, it can punish the zerg and blobs (if you pack too much you explode under aoes) everyone ask for it !

2) i ask since the beta the possibility to show enemy names, it’s important to build a PvP community. Will this come one day?

3) any plan to put guild name on castles, or something to identify it much?

4) will you remove the possibility to rez killed people, and keep it just for downed? (anti zerg measure too)

5) will you give the commanders a war horn to make an epic noise like Lord of the ring rohirrims before a charge?

Do not mistake, i want to beat him/you more than anyone it’s just called respect and humanity. Sort of things we do not see a lot on the internet, and it sucks. I know i expose myself by talking about respect in this virtual perma arena, but i dont give a kitten. I builded Grand Cross on a respect basis and i’m sure we have all the power to build a better community

:) i understand it very well. In fact, even if i never talk about it, there is a big irony (that always make me smile) when you see me only like a RP boy crazy about points. In the past, i was in a very good euro guild with Another (SK) Inflame, Hydra, Enigmz… and i had started PvP many years ago… The irony is, i’m crazy about PvP, GvG, 5v5/10v10 etc. I never played daoc. I just adapted to this style because i love RvR concept and i live the thing like if it was a movie, it drives me crazy.

The other ironic thing is, i know Sacrx wanted to win this week, even if he dislike playing points. I saw him many times, we know RG played a lot with golems (i checked stream a little) even very late at night, it was even a mystic ambient when i faced his character sometimes, because everyone saying it’s my Archenemy drive me crazy, and you know at night it’s different and everyone act different… it’s more smooth, calm, you are more concentrate. You take more pleasure.

And when we managed to counter the RG/Mixed assault at 3am this fabulous night and countered in the plain, your GM whispered me: lol, vizu push?? i could sense the surprise, because he wasnt prepared at all and thinked there was nobody in defense. We waited for you 1 hour in Etheron (this time we couldnt go out because you had too much golems, one movement outside and bye bye T3 castle) because you did the same the night before, and our will was hard as steel. We wanted to kill some RG/SFR. At all cost.

I think there is an other element nobody talk about because it’s taboo for some, but because i like rugby and history i have no problem about it: i think his English heart want to beat our French little kitten : there is always a good rivalty between our two countrys in many way, but behind the rosbeef and frogs kitten, there is a big respect. For me, atleast.

I add something: anyway, everytime he trash us, everytime we see he want to kill VS or make us out of T1 give me alot more will and furious energy to hold our positions and motivate people. Because i will never let him manage this. Never

Thank’s for the honest words Danielle, if Sacrx could be nice and honest like all his members ! you understood all our vision, it explain why the RP post, the “spartan” dedication too, and our morale. If it was WoW arena or instance battleground, i would do things a little bit different (even if my first wow arena high rating team was named… War Spartans huhu)

i respect RG for their ingame power but for the wise side of their members too

The Last Stand goal was only to show what we can do with our full actual forces (like i said many times we lost guilds and commanders), we also played a lot more than we should, and i think some of you too. Thats why i faced Sacrx at 5am and thats why he did lead pug two times very late and do OP, golems and castle stuff.

It was one of the funniest week i ever had, except the kitten i read here sometimes. Thank you for that. Now, LNM will come this night, but don’t start to call us Jade Square, it’s only one guild. Powerfull but alone.

Now i really need some rest, have a nice week-end mates. =)

Btw i agree for the guild identity things. Anet must kill the zerging, put guild names on the castles too, and toggle names on, and make a guild ladder, etc. So much errors from them to keep the PvP community…

No we have queue in primetime, a lot… and with the RvR patch, it will be an horror.

We have no night teams. It’s night working people/some students/some nolife (hehe yes, there is some, like in your server) and some people who play a lot. It’s the Realm versus Realm, it’s not an instance ! when will you understand that? it was the same kitten in daoc.

Anyway, you should all stop with this primetime bullkitten: the tick change and depend everyday, everytime, we have not all the same hours (hello russian primetime 3hours before us, while we eat baguette and fromage)

i explain it since 8 MONTHS now, it’s totally crazy that you cannot understand primetime mean nothings because of the different hours, culture, eating habits of all europeans.

Do you really want to know why we sometimes have to play the morning? because with all the coverage, all the goods guilds and different hours of all europe you have on SFR (i saw the list on pevepe.net before delete, very huge compared to us) we had to find something else.

Do you realise why you have almost no queue? because when we have 300+ french trying to enter in the same hour, you guys have guilds rolling and rolling in different coverage, and it’s very strong. You ask me to be honest? this is my answer.

The Last Stand goal was not to take the first position. The goal was to do our best, with our heart, to make maximum points, fights, and enjoy the game, and at least to be second. Because like i said many times, we lost many commanders because of burnout

We didn’t loose all matchups but one when enemy has same presence, check the MoS site with more attention please. SFR+PRX lost more than one time, Deso+RUIN, Elona, etc…

and with all the fights i did, specially this week versus RG groups or others (i always change maps and play with everyone) you just cannot say we always run when not outnumbering, it’s not justice at all to say that.

Don’t take it for you or your guild (i have many friends in RG, specially the frenchys in, and i like Lyric and others too) but you are kittening wrong man.

And yes, i was with 50+ people and Gwelicia FM commander versus you 2 nights ago, it was the most epic night i haver had on the game, with face to face fights versus Sacrx in the melee which gave me goosebumps. But you had in the same time many forces and mass golems for Opération Baguette #3. So you see, we are not so different

There is no Deso/SFR alliance.

I told you Vizunians. But, with SFR who clearly want us out and do not stop pressure on us, Deso sometimes (and sometimes a lot) use this to take some points and castles when they can. I call this strategy. VoTF really want us out too, they have always been clear with that with me, and Aneu the first. And VoTF are on deso

On the edge, because with the long anti-Vizunah campaign from Seafarer’s Rest, this server has endowed with a myriad of good guilds with a total timezone coverage, very hard to stand.

BUT WE ARE VIZUNAH, and unlike foes think, no we’re not 200 each night running around with joy and good humour: it’s a handful of resistant fighters (sometimes much more, we can talk about zerg when a lead shows up but it’s growing scarce) switching from a map to another very quickly allowing to hold points. But these guys are out of order right now, and that’s what I couldn’t make understand to our enemies.

SO, WE DECIDE WITHIN GRAND CROSS ALLIANCE TO DO A LAST STAND. Our battle of Thermopylae. Here we are. Her we kittening are! At the end of the line, so tired due to lack of sleep and the fights of the last months. But listen to me: or we give everything this week and you get yourself ingame as much as possible offpeak, or it’s the end. We fall to death! And if we fall just before the WvW patch, that will hurt very hard!

I’m sorry Aneu, but there is still a big propaganda about “VS sux at all except nightcap”

if we were that sucky, we would tick at 50 every day since august and don’t stay in T1. If we really were hidden in castles everytime, do you really think people would keep playing? “ok guys, we will hide for 10hours in bay, please do some poker or masturbate while we keep ticking lol” no please, seriously.

or for the guilds “ok guys, there is IRON in front of us, please hide a little while they go lol”

In primetime (France is GMT+1 for us, Russia your primetime start at 6-7pm for us and we have less troops, i explain it since Far Shiverpeaks wars) the tick is medium for all, or sometimes a server has more. But it change every minut.

As i repeated like 1000 times my dear Aneu, killing guilds with mixed groups can be very hard to manage for the “pug” commander. So i can understand it ! myself, when i had to lead the 3-4 first months (against Far Shiverpeaks for exemple) sometimes i didn’t have the choice !

Anyway it really depend on the troops in the mixed raid, sometimes it’s Fifilepetitguerrier, sometimes it’s François Le Destructeur, an heavy warrior with armored beret and striped iron jersey, magical baguette launcher +100% crit and frogs on steroid for pet.

Try to build a mixed raid, put your commander on, and charge WL for exemple. Tell me the result after

If you read what i wrote, you will see that we lost a lot of commanders because of burnout/tired/fed up/wait for march patch. So i asked a GC (Elysea) to made this because we want to learn beginners commanders how to do. Is it a reason to laugh?

I don’t know if you guy realize what we have to face with our diminushed forces, you have now a server mixed with a lot of good guilds with a lot of migrations. Friend, we had many competition in the past (Deso with RUIN, SFR with PRX, Blacktide, Elona, Arborea, Far Shiver etc) and again, no it’s not due to morning hours. It’s like a recipe, there is a lot of other ingredients.

For the morale thing you are speaking about, it has started before the SFR comeback. We started to loose commanders for the reasons i said, we had internal problem (the reunion i made to solve it) we had a lot of burnout (a BIG amount) so yeah, the timing sux for us. Really. I described all reasons in my previous post

Morning had never been our primetime anyway ! to be totally clear, it was leaded by Tanaarth, a now burned out commander (he started to fed up like hmm 1 month ago), and there was 35-40 people with golems yes. A deso guy confirmed it by facing them everyday =) But it’s like the old Worms video you remember ? start with knife, response with uzi, response with bazooka etc. Thoses morning player could beat the sadly poor deso morning coverage, but now they can’t beat the 40 angry fresh ZDs.

For MORT, they were tired by huge primetime queues, so they decided to build their own thing and moved to Fort Ranik ! =) but they had a lot of offpeak commanders too, so again, ouch, hard for us.

We will do our best to keep the Vizunah you know, but it need work work work.

yep, like i explained on french forums, it’s a lot of things, some here:

1) you are better than in the past
2) you got better coverage with migrations
3) the add of Piken is nice
4) your orga is now better
5) we lost a very big night guild (MORT)
6) we lost a lot of commanders cause of burnout/tired/wait for march patch
7) we lost offpeak people because it’s very hard to fight for example ZDs in the morning
8) Russian primetime is 3 hours before our, and when we are all eating our fromage, baguette and red wine (and a lot of afk spawn at 7-8pm gmt+1 grrr) mother russia is kicking our butt

All this mixed give this situation

We now try to work, find solutions, brainstorm.. it’s the game ! =)

In some points i agree with you ethier, but i need to repeat something important: no, we really don’t want to avoid fights. But if a VS “pug” commander do it, i can really understand it. Remember the example i used: imagine you have to charge a RG group, then after a ZDs, and again RG, with 30+ “pick up”. Its horrible to manage, horrible to manage morale, because you know you can’t kill a good group guild (or sometimes, but very rare) with this. Sometimes you have beginners, lvl 1, bad builds, kittenty stuff… never forget the commander when he has to ask Fifilepetitguerrier to do complex stuff or charge without fear versus a ZDs Norn screaming Russian things under his chapka with his vodka bottle near him. It’s too much for the poor Fifi.

Remember, never forget VS have guilds of course but a lot more “pick up” than you =)

Anyway, we lost a big night guild (MORT) 1 month ago, some offpeak commanders, and some burned out during last months -even me i’m almost out of energy- so it’s a little bit hard for us. But heh, we will do our best to come back =)

Well played, Seafarer rest. It was one of the best week i ever had, so many ours to fight and resist with my Vizunians brothers. Good guilds, good coverage, a lot of great fights, even a very long fight versus RG garrison west i will remember.

I know how to make “rp” posts to boost morale, but i also do it if we loose with honor versus good opponent. We lost a battle, but not the war.

No, i’m talking about after 9am morning gmt+1. For the 600 tick, yes, you were outnumbered. Thats why like i said previously, i can understand it can be frustrating

It’s clear that there is no SFR/DESO alliance. It was just some focus in some situation this week-end.

When i have to boost people at lion’s arch in the morning, to help the commander to repack because we are 10 and the others everywhere, when i have to yell everywhere to make it work, sorry but i don’t want to read we are 200 ;o

no, no and no. This morning we fought versus VcY+OPT+ others guilds, you can ask them (epic battle at SFR bay with trebs). We were equal numbers, i even had a whisp with a VcY members. They were 25-30 on SFR map, and a upT raidleader + SFR pug who took our bay while.

Please, come on the battleground before crafting numbers yourself

This will be the last time i argue for this thing, i do it since Far Shiverpeaks wars (6 months) and i’m really tired.

We. Were. Really.35. in the raid. There was 35 in the chan, and 20+ in EB. When you talk about 150-200 players in the morning, when i see the true numbers with my own eyes, man, how can i do more to make you understand?

I’m at the limit of telling too much about our orga, so i stop here… but please, listen a little. It’s like the canadian thing, i told you for months it wasn’t true.

Btw, it’s clear that SFR is a really good server, and have a strong guild organisation. they ticked more than us since 12h (gmt+1) and they are at 270 right now. Do we whine? no. We try to find a way to tick much in the afternoon instead going on forums and say “fakin seafarers, nolife no work, hate hate, bad word, hate”.

We have all the power to build a better global community. Do we want this game to go like WoW? sure no. And i talk for Vizunah haters too, you should shut your mouth a little

Hm i will let the guilds answer about what you speak if they want Sacrx, but just a thing: you mixed up what i said. I was talking to the SFR player when i said you won we won etc. For Blacktide, i said :

“Blacktide was a great server, nothing more to say”

“I thinked the same for (All)Blacktide and tried to find strategy to beat them a lot, but never spit on them.”

“Hmm Blacktide were the All Blacks ! "

This said, while i agree concerning WL, i think you are too hard with others. It’s true, RG is really good guild, remember me some good feeling of other PvP games when i see you charge and kill. You have to remember that a lot of guild are less hardcore than WL (and i know it well, i was WL for almost 7 years) and RG, are it’s very hard to them to kill a fully optimized group with all combos, strats, optimized stuff/character and good leader.

Imagine killing this with mixed/pug raid ! imagine the balance. Imagine when i or a raidleader build a mixed raid with vizunians, guilds etc. There is everything: some opti char, some lvl 1, some bad builds/stuff, some beginner, imagine Fifilepetitguerrier with his lvl 1 ranger fighting an angry RG with a 10meters swords and skulls attached to his belt? it’s like fight a nuclear bomb with a single tank man.

I know some like FM, VSS i heard yesterday too, managed to kill you few times. I don’t know how, i don’t know the numbers, how it happened, i don’t know if they killed you 2 times and you more, but if they manage you are too hard to say “T3 or T8 guilds !”

Everyone knows RG is good, so it’s a challenge for a lot of players. Don’t be rude to them, instead of be honored i think.
