The mobility with 30+ sec of speed (with Minstrel), F2 wings and merciful is very good too. The healing of a guard with current spvp items is colossal : 2k6-7 dodges, 5k staff, 8k F2, 12k healing shout, 4k merciful, etc. And there is no downtime as you can roll abilitys and pure of heart aegis on others, it’s a good advantage versus the druid when he has to build some astral force. You can heal for 2k5 minimum per sec, with 20k+ burst possible (healing shout + merciful for example, or F2 + staff, etc).

I played this all weekend, and i was able to heal and protect the team like never before.

If you want, i can support you in a game just to show you the possibilitys. The mitigation with F3, new shield absorption and tons of aegis is colossal too.

I do not agree. A DH bunk/heal with appropriate spells and traits can keep a point in 1v1 forever, stay 2v1 on a point for a moment, and carry the orb versus 3 players without too much problems.

With minstrel stuff and monk rune, sigil +10% heal and outgoing heals sigil, it’s 20khp, 1400 healpower, 3200 armor and 52% boonduration. The new F2 heal for 8k with this. 20% more outgoing heal with Force Of Will. And with Hunter Fortification it’s really easy to purge condis, even without the shouts trait.

I totally agree Seod, even druid has 33% permaspeed out of combat and 25% in.

Thoses allied heals are not useless !

Since the rework of traits, the new Force Of Will etc, you can now heal a lot with the good build. Pure of heart in nomad or cleric heal for 1k7 , and the 3 of mace proc aegis with communal defenses. You can do a 2k heal per second, and 20k in burst heal (staff empower + merciful interv or heal shout + one dodge or two for example).

Also work in SPvP: i healed lord and allies for 500k value, in the end of game.

Hmm i don’t PvE with the build, but even in cleric it’s still 13-14% more outgoing heal on allies you should really stick with Force of will.

I did a second video in WvW, and i listened the critics, and there is now:
- a 2v2
- a 3v3
- a 1v2, with a rescue in the last moment

and more happy ending, more teamfight, and even a short footage of this particular post-patch healing build in a raid. I hope you will like it !

1) nope ! if you use Pure of voice, you will loose x% of outgoing heal on others if you want to stay in this healer philosophy, you should keep it.

For WvW, yes i need the more vitality possible (the more i’m alive, the more i heal), and the build do not require power (it’s purely defensive, and working well thank’s to last big patch) and the most important:

Force of Will scale on your vitality. It’s 20% more heal on allies !

Even if healing power scaling is not so good, we can clearly see Arenanet are changing their mind with last changes and HoT; Check Invigorated Bulwark too to confirm.

Outgoing heals is a way to make healers working, without being too tanky by yourself. Clever move by Anet

I made a “real” video this time, to show my fellow guardians the true power of the build.

Heya everyone

Just to introduce myself, before gw2 i always played healers, especially in another famous game. I was an arena player with cool experiences and memories. Then i have been leader for the WvW alliance of a big EU server, for release until end of league one.

I stopped for more than one year, and when i came back in 2015, i searched a way to build a guardian like i ever wanted: a sort of Paladin. A true protector with reliable heals and survival tools. I wanted to heal and help other people to stay alive.

When Arenanet made the last big patch live, with the changes in traits, i knew it was the moment to create this !

The synergy in the build is heavy, and everything is linked in order to make the most defensive guardian possible. Heals, tons of regen and aegis make your guardian a tanking and healing machine, an almost classic healer if you fill the downtimes with double energy sigil healing dodges and the heals of the mace hit (1) .

A simple aegis will: heal you for 1k5, trigger a 5k self heal if not on internal cd, trigger Communal Defenses on allies, trigger Invigorated Bulwark, trigger a 2 sec regen.

So here is the “Bodyguard” build:

As you can see, the Defender rune works with Pure of heart, Communal Defenses, Retaliatory Subconscious, Valorous Defenses, and the most important, Protector’s Strike of the mace. Yes, the block of mace trigger Communal Defenses and others effects of the rune and traits !

The new version of Force of Will will scale with your nomad armor, and enhance the heal on allies for 20% ! Same for Invigorated Bulwark, that reduce your mace cd by 20% (so more 3 blocks, and heals) and your heal power.

it’s a guaranteed aegis on allies every 15 second, and no 5 people limit !

The build will also allows you to tank everything in 1v1 but terromancer (because of perma -33% heal and convert boons mainly) in what i call the solomode (shelter and regen food).

It will allows you to heal allies in roam, group or raids very high, with a strong sustain, and a 20k+ burst of heal possible. The key is to rotate between your dodges (2k+ healings), your merciful intervention (3k+), the shout (10k) and others heals tools. With healing power food and max stack, your empower can heal allies for 4k2 too !

Between your high value heals, the many many aegis, you can make survive:

1) yourself in solo
2) your group versus more people in roaming
3) your raid leader and group in a raid

You can also save people in the last second, with merciful intervention + the bump of shield on their body before the stomp. Never hesitate to spam 2 of mace, because of the multiples regens and healpower you have. You will be a nightmare for big dps classes too.

The main difference with others healers build, it that everything is perfectly linked, and that your survival is vastly improved. The more you stay alive, the more you heal hehe.

I did some short records, in order to show you the true might of the character. In this one, on a player “pick-up” i didn’t know (so no vocal, no group), you can see how is it possible to rotate between your heals and aegis to make your dear allies survive:

I do not think it’s a matter of reward. Only for a little part of VS. But for the passionate/core/newcomers fond of the community, it’s an other problem: too many people resting. Some leads stopped too (including myself) and others are doing a long pause.

And yes Beast, we were in total mode our coverage is ourselves playing at night. That’s what i repeat since 1 year, and that show we have no canadians big force/guild.

1 year and 4 months of hard work and sacrifices. Playing at night ourselves. Lot of veterans and newcomers aswell pushing to the limit for the league. Stopped the game myself. Lot of people returning back to others games. What a nerve to says it’s not this impressive, after we unleashed the best we could do for so many time.

Hello, i never post in NA subject, but sorry this is totally false. We Vizunah played a lot more all night long to resist RUIN fresh timezone army. They won only one week. Its still on mos. Things are very different here as we play on one timezone. This is the moment we lost the more commanders due to burnout.

Well, thank’s for this epic grand final. We kept GCK for this, and we didn’t regret it. Everytime we went outside it was epic, thank’s to Piken and Seafarer fighters. Beasty,

GCK is not GC:

GC (Grand Cross) = the WvW alliance since day one of Vizunah
GCK (Grand Cross Knights) = special frontline force of war/guards veterans, composed of some VS guilds members, with strict rules and codex. Made for open field, protect VS, and very dangerous situations. It’s part of our tactic, the bunky n low dps ! Yesterday, we were also charged by a big SFR army (the double to be exact) and tanked it well before fall. We did also very nice fights and double attacks.

But now the league is over, the Knights goes back to sleep, they were made for big challenges like this in grand part. That’s better like this.

@Donda: was great yep Operation “My Holy Judgement in your face” put us in zealot mode, and we wanted to do our best versus SFR troops.

When we fought alone it was 30 GCK, leaded by Brother-Captain Arma, one of the best VS/GCK commanders. A true beast. When we fought with VS raid, it was 30+40 people. So i understand it was hard to handle yep, anyway all your map defended garrison so i dont think you were outnumbered it was all map vs all map sometimes. In garrison upside and near tower, we were GCK alone, and we had to tank before the VS lead come to help.

Face of the battle changed when FY guild made an hole in your defense by destroying aqua door; we runned to it and then charged in your back, destroying defenses of walls and people on it; we could almost read surprise on your characters face.

Outdoor fights were epics too, with Pink hair in frontline alone and his troops behind, i charged him at sight and we all had him in target. Then, the V outside with my deconcentration error (was saying on TS "oh kitten epic tonight, ok stand the V, oh kitten they do double charge move move, but while reacting i was still commentating, i should shut the kitten up at this moment) then tanking the big army and death !

To resume, great night. Sadly i will never know what you people said on TS really, the french SFR told me it was insults like monkey, kitten, french kitten , vizunah kitten , but you all say the contrary.

GCK is a special frontline force (not a guild) i made for open field, with only tanky war/guards veterans and very angry. I created it after seeing VS war/guards fleeing in fight in september, and found it terrible. GCK members come from GC/VS guilds and must all follow the codex.

Most of them made Shiverpeaks, Blacktidian, Seafarers, Arborean and Elonian wars. Their scars are large as their rage.

Retreat is forbidden in it.

I understand but, like i explained on GCK mini-site, our mission is to tank/charge and give courage to the VS raids. So you will see us a lot with the raid, and it’s creating a bus. It’s our main mission (We are only guard/ward).

We were 30 GCK to help VS. Sadly, after we draw a big V in front of your garrison with only GCK, then SFR made a big charge and wiped us, a french SFR guy told me i received mass insults, with some “kitten square kitten” etc. Bleh.

You miss a very important thing concerning PRX: Yep, we asked for help, but for only one reason: RUIN just came on Desolation to try destroy us (thank’s to Muan, saying we had 200 hebrew canadians fighters at night, and thank’s to his GC GM Rui for putting a Canadian flag on gw2guilds, i’d killed them) and they came with 200 people. Because we have no canadian forces/guild, we knew it would be very hard to tank fresh US people (timezone difference) and thoses days were very hard. We were all exhausted. We -really- required PRX help to counter USA with USA, fire by fire. Nothing more.

The RUIN period forced us to create/inspire from Elona Multi-map, and play more at night, even guilds changed their hours of play. Horrible. If we “cried” on forums, it’s because it was too much to handle, USA at night and XAOC Russia the morning and your others guilds. Too much timezones, too much quality guilds + RG, it was almost like Blacktide. Bleh.

And no, i’m not a “polite face troll” i’m honest in all i do (too much RPG as a white knight when young probably, or maybe because i live in the south of France, cradle land of Paladins and Crusaders. Seriously, if i answer and discuss much it’s only because i do not want kitten to be said. In other matchups topic, i’m always very silent if you compare.

For the pevepe.net admins: 2 Pikeners whispered me ingame. I won’t say their name (matter of respect) but i have full confidence in one of them. He told me SFR guys came on some Piken guild forums (like 10) and made a proposal: If they rally SFR in the grand final, they would full focus Jade Sea. They also offered some gold to commanders. All the Piken guilds refused, without exceptions.

A nice french guy from Piken, a commander too, came on french forums and confirmed it too. He has no reason to lie, as i see no interest in it. If the Pikeners that received the SFR offer want to talk about it, it would be very nice. I was not surprised, because i know you guys, some of you want the fall of VS and would use any technic to do it. I have to remember you that you even payed RICH to come here for example.

@Beasty: a SFR guy told us your name here on Vizunah, you are known as “Pink hair” (Cheveux roses). When i came back in late September after my pause, they told me a Pink hair charr from AR guild was doing a great job, never stopping (ok i heard 1 or 2 ragequit but very rare) and never giving up. They said you were capable of leading many hours without stopping, and that you were a danger. This is the difference with the big mouths of the forum: You have been known ingame for some particular things, not because you say the bigger taunt on thoses badlands.

When i saw you in garrison, your charr almost alone while other guys were dead, i couldn’t resist to tell GCK CHARGE to you, it’s the minimum i could do. I hope anyway you are not one of thoses commanders that group VS guys to insult, or say xenophobic/insult VS like i heard. The experience of french guys on SFR, after leaving Arborea, confirmed me some things; there is lot of “Anti-Vizunism” on your TS and map chat. Not everyone of course, but it’s sad.

We do not play to make Jade Sea second at all, this i can promise it. We push you for many reasons, and the first is rivalty. But some Vizunians were on Jade Sea and want them second yes, i saw it. I can understand it, but it’s not my goal. Not the GC goal too. I’m sorry to be cold like this, JS readers, i have even irl friend on JS, but Vizunah before anything.

We never used Piken like a tool, we just do our job. We focus you, they choose what they want. If the third server was another, we would do the same, and trust me, it would be very hard for you too. This blindness is human after all; with strong rivalty you cannot admit it. Just recheck the stats of first week and think a little of the level of effort VS put in the war.

Anyway we were sure a lot of you would find excuses, and after canadians the 2v1 fits perfectly.

SFR did it twice, versus Piken week 5 and versus Jade Sea week 6. They also offered gold to Piken to do a true alliance, but they refused. Any words on this Blackwyn?

nope, i was talking about the battle for Lowlands and the (massive) battle for SFR garrison, this morning. Thoses battles were part of the best moments i had in gw2, and SFR didn’t want to give up their castle, cannot deny this. We managed to make it fall, but at the price of epic fights.

The commander i speak about is a charr from AR guild with Pink hair, we met him in lowlands and in garrison. He seems to never retreat, even if he has 2 people with him. We were 25 GCK to help VS raids.
