A) topic already exists post was made about this about 2-3 weeks ago
B) its not gonna happen, as its too much effort for such a small cosmetic change that too few people would even consider wanting, and no, its not as simple as “just mirror the animations”. I will also wager it would be alot more work to accomplish this in GW2 than some ‘fan-made mmo’.

Why the Balthazar Regalia and not the Aegis of Unity Costume(((
Why not just make one of each and find out for yourself which you prefer?
Didnt Anet state that they arent releasing the game for consoles?
Its nice that you have your fun with that, for me that was the first 1-2months after release, but now i care more about making money so that I can make my character look good/ fill my wardrobe. I also played around with builds a bit early on, but the meta is the meta for a reason, and I would not want to run dungeons/fotm with someone running a full Magi’s gear set specced for healing because they find that fun to play as (not saying you run this but just as an example), as them running that build makes it less enjoyable for the rest for the rest of the party
Its not gonna happen, it lets the races have at least something to differentiate themselves with and should stay that way. Actually I would we need more race specific armors
It mostly takes me about 5-10min to get to 80, but then I also have enough scrolls to do so
It would be nice to get unique skins from the collections, but that would mean Anet would have to add new skins into the game that they cant make money on from the gem store
My problem is not that I hate the game, its that I am bored of it as there isnt any real end-game. I tried other mmos but GW2 ruined them for me, as they all feel so slow. I want to love GW2, but there is just nothing of interest for me to do
Thats bound to happen in any MMO, even if there is end game. Seems to be most peoples issue. They are bored and wanting something more to do. The game isn’t perfect but it is one of the top MMO options out there (IMO).
There is an expansion on the way, and hopefully it will be here this summer. Imagine having to wait over an entire year without any new content or even patch for that matter, while paying money every month (I’m looking at you Blizzard).
This is true, however with GW2 i feel like it happened faster than other MMOs or even GW1
Guard is fine if you play solo, as you can just use scepter/focus and Greatsword to have a pretty good damage output. Also guardian is a lot less squishy and if you are used to playing War you might prefer that. Also you can just make two different chars and see which play style you prefer. Both are viable in the meta.
Condi warrior with long-bow, the burst skill helps get around reflects
I like the new format, but I prefer the old options for what to do
easy, Warrior for me I have 5 lvl 80s of them, 1 for every race (along with and 80 of all the other classes but I only leveled them to have them if needed). I just dont like the play style of the other classes, guardian is fine and I sometimes use it for pvp, but for everything else it just feels better to play as a warrior

If the Butterfly Dark Elves appear as a playable class before the Tengu I would be pretty kittened
Can we get more tonics like the Watchknight tonic, that we can use and fight at the same time? Maybe with out the 30min cool down hopefully (which im not sure why that is there to begin with)?
So im not sure if this is a bug, or something i can change in the settings, but it seems that when sell/buying things on the TP the images and text seem to be lower res than the other text and images in the game
See here you go, took me 5min to make, if you take more time you can probably make a better version
you can pretty much make that outfit from existing armor skins
That sounds awful, plus many legendaries already give different skill effects when used, ie. Frostfang or the Hunter having a special animation on crits
Yeah I pretty much only log in for the daily reward, and then harvest my home instance, thats about it. I woulld do dungeon runs, but not really anything i need gold for atm, so why bother
…………So yes, you can blame me for not being prepared to do a fight differently than I’ve done it the 20 times before. ………………
If you ran fotm 20 times before, how do you still not have the AT for 10-19s, really not that hard to get
Sylvari anything so you can have more dragon minions. Or at least one dragon minion if you don’t have one yet,
Sylvari I already have 4 of, 2 guard, 1 war and a mesmer
Warrior for PvE
Guardian for Pvp
The trick to Healing Signet is to use dodge, Endure Pain, blocks (if you’re running one), kiting, LoSing, etc. to give the passive regeneration time to heal you up.
I would not run Endure pain unless you are in a situation in which you just keep dying to, its a waste of a skill slot otherwise
What is the difference between a melee scepter and a mace? I don’t think there is one.
The scepter breaks when you hit it against someone’s armor.
That’s not true. In the real world scepters were originally used as melee weapons. They did get replaced by maces though and scepters were repurposed as decoration items and status symbols.
Wiki says that the scepter started out as staffs. They then undoubtably shrank in size as their use became ceremonial and became the scepter.
“The Was and other types of staffs were signs of authority in Ancient Egypt. For this reason, they are often described as “sceptres”, even if they are full-length staffs. One of the earliest royal sceptres was discovered in the tomb of Khasekhemwy in Abydos. Kings were also known to carry a staff, and Pharaoh Anedjib is shown on stone vessels carrying a so-called mks-staff."
Either the English wiki is incomplete or you’re misunderstanding what is written there.
The modern scepter is a mix of a staff (used as status symbol) and a club (used as weapon). The idea to use a scepter as status symbol comes from the Was, but the length and shape of the scepter is based on the scepter’s original purpose: a clubbing weapon.
what do mean ‘modern scepter’ we dont tend to use those much any more and when they are used they are purely ceremonial. Scepters are just an abstracted representation of a melee weapon, rather than actually being one. and clubs are just fire-hardened sticks with bits of rock or metal fastened to them.
run a stability skill or learn to see their telegraphed attacks and dodge those, but yeah it can get annoying at times. luckily for me shake it off gets rid of kd’s so i just run with that
didnt know the kills on battle for claw island counted, is it just killing stuff till the dragon shows up and the rezoning? is there a way to kill stuff and not spawn the dragon?
might as well get some of these done, for the weps i rarely use, any suggestions for good places to grind out the 5k kills?
Run knights/soldiers equipment till you get to know the class then full zerker, healing, might, and fury signets, with a banner of strength (if you are the only War in the party change out fury for a banner of discipline). Weapons wise the standard is Greatsword, with the second set being axe/mace, with a longbow in your inventory for long-ranged fights. As for traits ^Azrael had that covered.
As I have nothing to do I have decided to level a new character as I already have at least 1 of each proff, I figured I’d let you decide for me what profession/race/gender to make it. GO!
Toxic and scarlet armor pieces are available right now
no scarlet’s helm tough…
That was never available in the gem store but an achievement reward.
It is now also available with Laurels
No, it isnt.
Heh, my bad guess its not, I figured they would put it in there as they did with all the other S1 LS achievement rewards

grenth and phantom will be back for haloween at the latest, the others will be out at random sales, just need to keep a look out
Maybe not never, but not in the near future
Celestial was added later in that game, thats why you cant buy it with tokes/karma, save up some gold and just buy/craft it if you want, not sure why you would want it in pve though, just run zerkers
while that is true, you don’t need it for levels 10-20. People used to earn their rings in 10-20, that’s why I don’t see why it’s so wrong for a person to enter 10-20 without AR today when it wasn’t when fractals just released.
To be honest, being a long time fractal runner it makes me laugh when I see LFGs in scales anywhere between 1 to 20 that ask for experienced players, or yell at new players for even making very small mistakes. These are low level fractals. 20+ is normally where people know what they’re doing, 30+ is when they start to get serious about it. 10+? Waaay too early to try and emulate any kind of hardcore behavior if you ask me.
Yes but used to is not now, if he has been playing since beta there is absolutely no excuse not to have AR, especially if he runs fotm with any sort of frequency. And I would not say that asking for AR is hardcore behavior, sure they should have told him what to do after first wipe, but he could also have mentioned that he isnt too familiar with the run
I sense a very elitist person. Getting enough AR for level 50 will not just take you a few weeks. Still running 40-50 with welfare ascendeds and only actually got enough AR for that a week ago (used to be running with 5 points lacking. It’s not a big deal at all) and I was in fractals from the time that fractals came out.
While he may be exagerating on how long it take to get the AR, it really does not take that long to get at least a decent amount of it. Trinkets arent that hard to come by, Guild Missions, Laurels, and from the FotM, slot +5s in all those and you are good till at least 20, and that will take you maybe a month, depending on how often you run Guild Missions and if you have saved up laurels
charr outnumbered? I think not
get on the side that doesnt have bots and have an easy ride
well you can craft celestial stated items in pve, so I’m not sure what the issue is
Well no sympathy here, I know I have kick a good amount of people for not having the req AR, just makes it easier on the rest of the party get some one good quicker, instead of slogging trough countless deaths
I run a war with full rabid and healing shouts or sigils when not in boss fights
If you have been playing since beta (or since FoTM has come out) how do you still not have AR. Its just inconsiderate to do 10+ fractals without it
nope you running zerker would help out a lot more, and you shouldnt be eating the agony as you either dodge the attacks or have enough AR that the agony doesnt matter.
also if you are teach your guildies, maybe just join an additional, larger, guild where there are players who can teach you what to do
well yeah…..best way to support the team is to kill the enemy faster than it can kill you. Thats why zerker is the meta. If you want to avoid this just run FotM with a guild group and learn your role on your preferred class so that you know when to throw down walls and reflects
turn up your mouse sensitivity, or idk just get better at pvp
step 1 shut down gates
step 2 shut down waypoints
step3 send a bomb to every waypoint we whant
step4 (for example) bye bye black citadel
char main problem away
whos next?
the charr would probably just chuck all their waypoints into the nearest lava pit and take over with tanks and those helicopter things
