If you are just looking for compatibility here is a link to Gigabyte’s CPU compatibility list for the GA-880GMA-USB3
http://www.gigabyte.in/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3817
If the CPU is not listed, I would contact Gigabyte and see if they are going to, or have added compatibility for your CPU. If it is not supported it may be as easy as them adding in the micro code for the CPU in a later BIOS release.

ok good to know. Are you running it on port 80 now or running it normal.
No problem, I hope it works. For the record many people are having issues. Some seem to be related to the game and others are configuration issues.
Good luck…
I noticed a patch went through run the client normally “without the port 80 switch” and see if the patch downloads. I am not sure if the switch works for patching, I would assume that it would.
Looks good. Try disabling your AVG. I don’t recommend leaving it disabled but I would like to test with it off to see if you are still getting the error.
Hmm, that normally indicates a firewall issue or blocked ports. Kind of strange seeing that port 80 is used to browse.
Do me a favorer and past the line from the target here.
R-Click the “Gw2 – Port 80” shortcut and select Properties
Copy the target line
(edited by UserX.8217)
Don’t add anything to the Windows firewall. We just wanted to make sure that it was configured and it appears to be. Try the port 80 switch.
ok, try the port 80 switch
If you keep on having trouble after configuring AVG you may want to try the port 80 switch. I would try it without the switch and see if configuring AVG fixes the problem first.
Running the client on port 80 may help alleviate the issue also.
1) Navigate to theGW2 directory normaly located at “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\” or “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\”
2) R-Click “Gw2.EXE” then select Send To>Desktop (create shortcut)
3) One your Desktop R-Click the “Gw2 – shortcut” and Rename it to “Gw2 – Port 80”
4) R-Click the “Gw2 – Port 80” shortcut and select Properties
5) In the tagert line, all the way to the right after the quotation mark add a space then type the following: -clientport 80
Example: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -clientport 80
Example 2: “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\” -clientport 80
6) Click Apply then OK
7) Try running the game
For the Windows firewall you should not need to do anymore if they are listed. AVG may be your problem so configuring it may solve your issue.
(edited by UserX.8217)
1) Go to Start
2) Type Firewall in the search
3) Click on “Windows firewall with Advanced Security”
4) Select “Inbound Rules” from the left pane
5) Scoll through the Inbound Rules in the center pane and try to locate “Guild Wars 2 Game Client”
If you see the rules then is should be configured. There are normaly 6 rules
2 rules for the Temp directory TCP/UDP – Private profile
2 rules for the Program direcetoy TCP/UDP – Private profile
2 rules for the Program directory TCP/UDP – Public profile
Let me know if you see any rules for Guild Wars 2

Are you using security software like AVG? Also what version of Windows are you using?
Try accessing the game on port 80. A few other people said this worked for them.
Anti Virus software and security suites may be causing the issue. Turning them off while downloading may help.
You can configure your firewall to un-restrict ports 80, 443, 6112 and 6600.
I have found that I do not need to configure my hardware firewall but software firewalls including the Windows firewall may need some configuring.
For anti virus, you may be able to disable it.
I hope this helps

Both the H2O 620 and 212 EVO are both decent coolers. I am partial to custom water as air is about as good or on par with entry level water.

This could be related to security software AKA Anti-virus, firewall etc.
I would configure Antivirus and firewall settings
and I would also turn of UAC or
Run Gw2 as Administrator
1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 folder.
2. Right click on GW2.exe and select properties.
3. Once the properties window is open you will then choose the compatibility tab.
4. Place a check in the last option labeled “Run this program as an administrator.”
5. Click “Ok.”
6. Run the game
Fun error
Just a shot in the dark but are you running mumble with overlay turned on? if so turn if off. There are reports of software that uses an overlay causing issues.
Here are some things to try
NOTE: Run the commands from and elevated command prompt. AKA Run Asdministrator
chkdsk /r
Locates bad sectors and recovers readable information (implies /f and /p). Unreadable data is lost. If CHKDSK cannot lock the volume, it offers to check it the next time the computer starts.
sfc /scannow
Scan for and restore corruptions in Windows system files
Run memtest
A Program designed to test and stress test a computer’s random access memory (RAM) for errors.
Run a repair of GW2
1) Navigate to theGW2 directory normaly located at “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\” or “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\”
2) R-Click “Gw2.EXE” then select Send To>Desktop (create shortcut)

TDR or Timeout Detection and Recovery error are a way for the GPU to reboot in the event of a hang, freeze or other issue. A stop error may occur if the cause of the TDR is severe enough. A STOP error is a BSOD that normally is caused by hardware failure or when the OS interaction with hardware fails AKA, driver or bad/corrupted software issues.
There have been reports of TDR problems with the NVidia 314.07 driver. If you are using 314.07 then ripping and installing a different driver may alleviate the issue. If you are on old drivers installing a new on may also help.
Many people that are on 314.07 and experiencing TDRs are now using 310.90 to clear up the issue. Unfortunately there are so many things that can cause this so it can be very difficult to troubleshoot.
Here is an article linked by Ashley Segovia on TDR.
Steps to properly RIP and install an NVIDIA driver.
1) Download the driver you wish from: http://www.geforce.com/drivers
2) Run the Driver.
3) Click OK
4) Click AGREE AND CONTINUE
5) Select the CUSTOM (ADVANCED) radio button
6) Select the PERFORM A CLEAN INSTALATION check box
7) Click NEXT
Try this.
1) Navigate to theGW2 directory normaly located at “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\” or “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\”

Great find Gambit and I hear it works for some people, unfortunately it did not work for me. I have a fiber pipe with no blocked ports, shaping or throttling.
I am a bit curious as to everyone’s location. I get lag, IE skills and dodging slow but loading is fast. I’m in Tucson, AZ. I do get disconnected all the time for some reason. I did all I can do on my end but still get disconnected.
After checking connections I noticed that port 443 is no longer listed as being used by Gw2.EXE only port 6112. I remember it used to be listed as established when doing a netstat -a -n -b

The FPS you are getting is extremely low. Is the 9-15FPS in WvW, PvE or both? is the 9-15 FPS constant or a dip?
I found this in another post.

I have heard of people using ASUS GPU Tweak to disable the 2D on the 7850. Not sure if that would help.
The only way I know to do this is through 3rd party software that forces the Task Bar to always be on top.
Sorry that I was unable to help.
The PSU looks good, just wanted to check. I personally would rip and reinstalling the drivers, make sure you have the latest.
Unfortunately, I am not a big fan of AMD so I am unfamiliar with the software used for your GPU’s.
I’ll do a bit more research and see if I can’t dig something up.
Memory: 2814MB RAM
Your memory is a bit on the low side so if you have a lot of background apps you can see a degradation in performance. It could be that your systems is doing a lot of file swapping or commonly known as paging.
“The operating system copies a certain number of pages from your storage device to main memory. When a program needs a page that is not in main memory, the operating system copies the required page into memory and copies another page back to the disk.”
The less memory you have the more paging that will need to happen. Releasing some of the memory back to the OS by disabling or closing background apps IE: Messengers/chat, browsers, etc. will help. Hint: anything in the tray is a app that is running
Close some of the background apps and give GW2 a try and see if that helps any. BTW, Your dxdiag looks good.
Also:
When running the game open up your “Task Manager” then goto the performance tab. Take a look at the memory and CPU usage and post it please. You may want to run the game for 20 min and compare how much CPU and RAM you are using after playing for a while to when you started the game.
On a side note:
The G500 mouse software is extremely heavy. I have one myself and know it is a bit of a hog all on its own. Not much you can do about that as the software is very handy.
You could add more RAM but to be able to use it you will need a 64bit OS or a program such as Fancycache. The later will allow files to be cached in RAM even on a 32bit OS you can take advantage of the extra RAM this way.
What PSU are you running? Are you overclocking at all?
Try downloading and running Heaven Benchmark by Uningine. Run the software through a couple cycles. See if you get any errors, hanging or freezing.
(edited by UserX.8217)
In full screen window mode the game should look just like it does in full screen mode but you will be able to access the desktop and apps without the game having to minimize.
If you could attach a dxdiag to you post I can take a look at it. I am betting that your system is doing a lot of file swapping. VISTA is a resource hog, especially with RAM.
Type dxdiag from the run line.
Select the “Check for WHQL digital signatures” checkbox
Save all information to a text file via the “Save All Information” button
Attach it to your post
P.S.
I have to run on a tech call but when I get back ill take a look.
I second Mazhurg. Good info.
When upgraded did you do a fresh installation of Windows or an upgrade to the existing Windows?
Not doing a fresh installation can cause issues of this sort and a driver rip and reinstall will normally fix this.
Yeah a lot of people seem to be having FPS issues after the patch.
You may want to try this Command Line Argument.
-clientport 80
Steps:
Create a Shortcut to Gw2.exe on your Desktop
Rename the Shortcut to GW2 Port 80
R-Click the Shortcut>Properties
Under the target field after the quotation all the way to the right add a space then -clientport 80
Click OK
Run GW2 using the newley created Shortcut to see if it helps.
Are you running any video capture software or software that uses an overlay such as Mumble?
Is this in WvW or in PvE? ANET released an update that removed Culling from WvW. This will add more stress as nameplates and/or characters will be loaded were they may not have been pre patch.
P.S.
Here is some info on the Culling in WvW.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/world-vs-worldthe-end-of-culling/
Once again more disconnects. I am able to reproduce it every time. Here are the steps I follow to reproduce the error/disconnect.
Patch>Play>Disconnect>Repeat
Fairly simple.
Thank you,(Pun intended)
You could also r-click the GW2 shortcut>Properties>Advanced button>Select Run as admin. This may allow saving of the credential. Of course an admin will need to make this change.
I am not sure as to what OS or software, if any, your parents are using to lock down the computer.
From your post I gather every time you run GW2 it prompts you to enter the admin user/pass and does not give a way to save the credentials, AKA “remember” check box. One way to give you access would be to have your parents give you permission to run the application as an admin and save the credentials. They can try r-clicking the shortcut to GW2, select properties then try ruining it as an admin under the compatibility mode tab. This may not work but worth a try. You could also talk to your parents about creating another user on that computer and then give the new user the needed permissions to run GW2.
Your parents could be using third party software in order to lock down the computer, if this is the case they will need to consult the software documentation or contact support.
It sounds like you are getting a STOP Error after a TDR. TDR or Timeout Detection and Recovery error are a way for the GPU to reboot in the event of a hang, freeze or other issue. A STOP error is a BSOD that normally is caused by hardware failure or when the OS interaction with hardware fails AKA, driver or bad/corrupted software issues.
It appears that your system is unable to recover giving you a BSOD. There have been reports of TDR problems with the latest NVidia 314.07 driver. If you are using 314.07 then ripping and installing a different driver may alleviate the issue. If you are on old drivers installing a new on may help also.

I take back stating that I can’t find anything on culling and PvE. Here, is a post for removing culling from PvE.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/WvW-End-Of-Culling-And-PVE/1628648
That explains it. I did a quick search and found a ton of info. Unfortunately I was not able to find anything for removing or reducing culling in PvE, a lot on RvR though.
Thank you for the reply.

Changing the voltage from 220 to 110 can damage computer components. One of the worst situations you can put electronic through is lack of power or brown out.
As stated earlier in this post getting a known good PSU then removing the components, visually inspecting them and testing them, preferably outside the computer case is your best bet.
Changed the Topic from “LAG in Events” to “Culling in Events” to reflect the true issue.
I seem to be having trouble seeing groups of mobs in high density events. I can see the players and their name plates but the NPC and name plates show up “load” late or I don’t see them at all.
The problem started about two week ago. This only happens in high density areas during events. For example the events that are at Penitent waypoint and Shelter’s Gate waypoint when there are 7 or more players.
I have tested my FPS with Fraps while the problem is happening.
Performance: 90 to 135FPS
Auto Detect: 80 to 90 FPS
Maxed out: 65 to 80 FPS
The game runs smooth as Silk.
This seems to be related to the slew of network lag issues that are posted in this forum as of late.
Specs:
Windows 8 X64
32G of 2333 DDR
3930k at 4.7G per core up to 4.8G when pushing the system
2 GTX 580’s in SLI – latest WHQL from nVidia
2 Performance Pro SSD’s in RAID 0 – Close to a GIG in transfers
Intel Pro GIG NIC
40X20 Fiber Pipe with extremely low latency – no blocked ports
Tested in other MMO’s with no issues.

Same issue, over and over again.
Getting pretty darn sick of the disconnects
