Hello Everyone and ANET,
I was wondering if the Upgrade Extractor, that can be purchased for 250 Gems, will remove infusions from ascended gear? I have a valuable infusion in a trinket that I would like to remove.
If the Upgrade Extractor will not work, is there a way to salvage the ascended trinket to save the infusion?
Thanks in advanced.

I feels like you have removed the player from the character. The old system at least made you feel that you had some say in the build of your toon. Just a bad idea in general from my stand point.

I am having extremely bad skill lag and rubber banding today. The game is near unplayable, in fact I logged until fixed. I have tried 2 different characters in 3 different areas. All other games run great just GW2.
Here is my ISP info but most the time skill lag is server side.

I purchased 2 Rings of Red Death from a Laurel Merchant not realizing that you can only use one of them per character. I am fairly new to this type of MMO so had no clue that you could not equip more than one. After talking to some friends they let me know that this is common and suggested I put in a ticket.
I play EVE Online so I am not used to soulbound items or not being able to fit what you want. I have been saving the Lauel in order to get 2 Rings and an Amulet. I finally had enough Laurel then found this out after purchasing.
Please advise,

That appears to be normal for 1080P. I go from 40% “+/-” 10% on each GPU in Divinity’s Reach, by the bank, and bounce around a lot in Lion’s Arch, at the forge, currently 73/44. I am getting 65 to 75+ FPS in Lion’s Arch and 90 to 100+ in Divinity’s Reach. SLI is scaling good although some areas don’t seem to scale as well.
My CPU usage is good with an Avg of about 22% after an hour. I have seen GPU usage of up to 99% on GPU 1 and 88% on GPU 2 but this depends a lot on the amount of objects to render. I am also gaming at 1920X1200 which requires a little more GPU usage than 1080P. I am on an older technology, 2X580, with a small OC, all game settings maxed.

Make sure your monitor is not the issue. It seems that you have ruled out most of the common issues but I haven’t seen anything about testing the monitor in your posts.
Check and see if your MOBO has diagnostic LEDs or screen on it. The small screen gives POST codes that you can use for troubleshooting. If you are able to get the POST code that the system is hanging on, do a search for your MOBO and the POST code that you are getting. Example: ASUS Rampage 4 Extreme post code 66. Alternatively you can use the model of the computer such as Dell Pavilion 8000 post code 02
From what I have read you have changed out the GPU, MOBO, RAM, and PSU. This does not leave a lot to troubleshoot. The CPU is one major component that you may need to check. Often the POST codes will let you know if it is hanging on the CPU.

Try and isolate the click noise. I know that you have stated that the computer crashes when it starts but if it is up long enough you can normally find where it is coming from.
Use an empty paper towel tube. When the sound starts, place the tub on your ear and move it by each piece of equipment in the PC. The sound will get louder when you get close to the device that is causing it. Once isolated you will need to determine the issue with the device.
Common PC clicking sounds.
Hard Drive – Not SSDs
Fans
CD/DVD
PSU – Normally the fan
Wire or other object bouncing of a fan
P.S.
Seeing that you have file corruption, I’m betting on the HDD but crashing can also cause the corruption.

I am not a fan of any Razor products or software . I haven’t been having to much trouble lately but I have not been playing much either. The Razor Game Booster looks like a novice way to free up system resources and do some common tweaks so I can see it being of use for some people.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Sometimes just toggling SLI off then back on will solve the issue. Reinstalling the driver may also help. I do understand that other games are not having the issue but a clean installation of your graphics driver can help with problems related to specific software.
Gw2 is a system intensive application so this could be related to heat. Make sure to check your temps while gaming. If it is heat related the game will normally start with SLI working then drop out of SLI.

Changing your password should have stopped them from accessing your account but this is not a guarantee. Many people use the same password or similar password for everything . With that being said, if your password for your email associated with GW2 is the same or similar to your GW2 account make sure to change it. This will prevent them from accessing your email and attempting to gain access to GW2 through it.
There are several exploits that can be ran by visiting a link. This is commonly known as a drive by. It is always a good idea to make sure you are up to date with the latest updates.

Some things that can cause this are. Just to name a few; router is failing, outdated firmware, misconfigured router, problem with MAC table , DHCP scope issue, IP conflict, the list goes on.

I have been working with a few people on the load screen issue and found that some people are able to connect using a different account on the same computer or not able to log into the problem account on another computer. This leads me to believe the issue is server side.

Actually NVIDIA cards run very well in Gw2, it actually seems to be the other way around. I have seen more problems with ATI lately “Probably related to drivers”
The first machine is getting what is know as a TDR and it is very unlikely that Gw2 has caused your GPU to go bad. In fact most TDR’s are related to hardware and driver issues not specific to the graphics system. It is possible that your card is bad and if the stress of playing a video game caused it, then card is at fault as that is what it is meant to do.
“TDR or Timeout Detection and Recovery error are a way for the GPU to reboot in the event of a hang, freeze or other issue.”
Here is a link to more information on TDR’s. It is not an easy problem to troubleshoot as there are so many factors that can cause it.
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/389688/geforce-drivers/nvidia-statement-on-tdr-errors-display-driver-nvlddmkm-stopped-/
Make sure you are comfortable doing the following or have someone that is.
Go into safe mode and remove the graphics driver. Reboot and load windows normally. You will then need to install a new driver from NVIDIA. I always suggest the latest but many people are liking the 310.90 drive as it seems to be stable in Gw2. I am using the 314.22 driver.
You may want to get the latest driver for your second computer and see how that works for you. Here is how to properly do a clean install of an NVIDIA driver.
Steps to properly RIP and install an NVIDIA driver.
1) Download the driver you wish from: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

I need to do more research on this. It seems that I am seeing a lot for ATI owners running into issue with very low FPS. Your CPU, RAM and GPU are all factors but 8 FPS is down right terrible.
I am beginning to think that it could be a driver issue. I currently do not own a test system with an ATI so it does make it a bit hard to diagnose.
There are a few things that you can do.
You may want to get the latest drivers for you ATI. I would suggest getting them directly from ATI. NOTE: If you do update the drivers do it before any other steps.
You have a 64bit system and 4G of RAM so I would suggest turning off, at least, the High-Res Character Textures in the games Graphic Options.
In the Games Graphic Options try setting the “Settings Preset” to Best Performance and while you are there go ahead and turn on “vertical sync” if it is not.
Use this link for instructions to change AA “Anti Aliasing” to Application controlled.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Black-Screen-Issue-AMD-ATI/first#post38195
Once you have made the changes go back into the games Graphic Option and change the Render Sampling to “Super Sampling” then immediately switch it to “Native”. NOTE: Make sure you switch it back to “Native” or you will get worse performance.
I hope this helps.

It sounds like your Gw2.exe somehow got corrupted while patching. Connectivity loss or a system restart during the patching process could do this.
You can try this:
Run a repair of GW2
1) Navigate to theGW2 directory normaly located at “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\” or “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\”
2) R-Click “Gw2.EXE” then select Send To>Desktop (create shortcut)

Example: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -repair
Example 2: “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\” -repair
6) Click Apply then OK
7) Run teh gw2 – Repair
or
Grab a new Gw2.exe from:
