It seems like these threads get more hostile with every tier we climb.

On another note, I’d like to thank DR and EB for some fun fights so far. I tend to run around solo scouting so I’m not usually on the winning side of a fight, but I still manage to have fun and occasionally get a kill when I’m in a 1v1 fight.

My favorite was yesterday though, I was scouting in the Kaineng BL when I saw a small group of DR taking one of the southern supply camps. I accidentally got too close and you spotted me so I bolted naturally. A few seconds later I turn a corner and run into a small group of EB, so I ran back towards the camp hoping you two would wipe each other out and I could sneak away. Of course I wasn’t fast enough and was quickly killed in the crossfire but it was fun watching the fight anyway.

Looks like free transfers end on Jan. 28th so if the bandwagon transfers want to leave us they better do it before then.

Well, retaliation is still good when you have a group of enemies on you, it basically acts as an AoE without a target cap. Also mesmers are very lacking in viable PvE build variety, a buff to confusion would help with that.

Also if you follow the link posted above you’ll see that you have the option of letting yourself die and if you restart at the checkpoint it’s past the wind so you can avoid it if it’s too hard.

don’t conflict/contradict each other. The second statement is just less specific than the first. For all we know they’re reworking how loot tables work behind the scenes and that’s the new reward system he’s referring to, we just don’t have nearly enough information to make any assumptions at this point.

I remember at some point after doing Claw island on my Order of Whispers character I was in the southern part of Bloodtide Coast and got hit by a Risen ambush. When the ambush was triggered one of the risen yelled out something like “Tybalt sends his regards!” which made me think he’d show up as an undead somewhere.

Just a note, these bots are a mix of different classes and all in the same guild so I didn’t realize they were bots at first. It was only after watching them for a few minutes that I noticed they were teleporting from enemy to enemy and all standing in the exact same location while fighting.

I just wanted to thank the NSP night crew. I play on kaineng at night so the last few weeks when I log in we’ve already had everything. Tonight was the first night in a while that I’ve not only had stuff to do but also had some really good back and forth fights!

I’m somewhere between 1 and 2. I really enjoyed the daily events in each of the capitals and wish there was a sort of finale when Tixx got to Lion’s Arch. I was able to do these with a group of 2 (me and my girlfriend) which is the main reason I enjoyed them. This is also why I didn’t like the Toypocalypse very much since I couldn’t attempt it with just the 2 of us. We couldn’t even join the event together. I think it would’ve been OK if we could at least get into the same instance but no luck.

I do think the toys were a bit too tough since it seemed like the best way to get the mystery presents in PvE was to open it, grab the present, then run away before the toys destroyed you. Also the drop rates for the giant presents seemed a bit messed up, since I only got sweaters from them throughout the whole event.

The bell choir event was a lot of fun, even though I was terrible at it. I also thought the minis and weapon skins were all very cool. I was lucky enough to get the golem made of christmas lights on the first day of the wintersday event.

I wasn’t able to get this one. I only tried it about a dozen times before I gave up, I think the time limit on it is just too frustrating. I normally love jumping puzzles in this game but so far I haven’t enjoyed either of the holiday ones.

I would love it if some server forums were added. In my experience they’re a great resources for player-run events.

I would like to have the ability to quit my personal story or at least hide the display so it’s not always up in the corner of my screen.

Mainly because I don’t like doing dungeons, it’s just not a playstyle I enjoy. Because of this I know I will never finish my personal story since the final step requires a dungeon run. I’d like the ability to at least hide it so it’s not taking up space on my screen anymore. It would probably be nice to have options to hide all the stuff that’s displayed in that area, but that’s another topic altogether.

I just got to this last night and found out I have to get in a group for the end of my personal story. I was really looking forward to finishing but now I’m pretty sure I never will because I don’t like dungeons. It’s just not the kind of playstyle I enjoy and I really don’t like that I’m forced into it if I want to finish my personal story that I’ve been doing without a group from 1-80. Honestly if I knew I’d have to do a dungeon to finish it I never would have even bothered with the personal story to begin with.

I occasionally get a bug where I can’t target any enemies with the mouse (but using the keyboard for targeting still works). It’s not a bug that happens a lot, and a relog usually fixes it. Also I don’t use the mouse to target very often so there’s probably times that I have the bug and don’t even notice it. It’s possible that this bug is responsible for some people not being able to target the portals/behemoth.

Currently if someone is dragging mobs while running through a zone and they run past another player those mobs will often shift their aggro to the other player even if they’re not attacking. Would it be possible to change this so that players can’t pull mobs onto other players? It’s just frustrating when I’m out fighting and minding my own business and someone runs by leaving me with a very large group to fight off. It seems to be happening more and more lately.

Lately I’ve noticed that when the battle music kicks in (like when I pull too many mobs), it takes a very long time before the music shuts off. Even if I drop out of combat and stand in place waiting it continues playing battle music for at least another minute. It didn’t seem like a big deal at first but now it’s starting to drive me crazy.

What’s the frequency with what this sound plays?

I get this generally 4-5 times in an 8 hour session, maybe more, and usually a lot louder, regardless of what character I am playing or where I am in the world.

I find that it happens more frequently when alt-tabbed out of the game (which is played in fullscreen).

My girlfriend has the same issue, but I don’t. Our computers are identical except that she has a soundblaster card while I’m just using the onboard sound. She says it’s incredibly loud when she’s playing with headphones on.

Without reliable data they were probably hesitant to adjust the drop rates in any big ways. I’m hopeful that if the bots can be reduced to the point where they’re not a significant factor, and kept that way, we’ll see some targeted adjustments to some of the drop rates.

Unfortunately that will take some time.

Didn’t they already change the loot table based on the market? (I remember something with butter…)

True, that’s why I said big adjustments. In the grand scheme of things butter, chocolate, walnuts, and cinnamon are going to have a limited impact so it’s probably not as dangerous to tweak those drop rates.

On the store you can buy 100 gems for ~1 euro.
So atm ~1 euro = ~100 gems = ~1 gold

Now, I took a random goldseller website and there the prices:
50 euros = ~150 gold = ~15k gems

I think something to keep in mind is that the 50 euro price tag isn’t the only cost involved.

That 150 gold actually costs 50 euros + the risk of having your account banned + the risk of having the goldseller use your credit card info to buy a dozen accounts to run bots on.

When you look at it like that I would have to say that buying gems from arenanet is the better deal.

I tried for over an hour and then gave up. I just couldn’t get the timing right with other people there. I love a great challenge though, so if the devs take anything away from this I hope it’s to make them single-player instances.

I’ve wanted something like this as well. If you could also have an alternate set of major traits that would be perfect.

On Kaineng I keep seeing huge swarms of bots running around. They’re always rangers with gibberish names and a Juvenile Brown Bear following them. Half the time they have no armor at all. About half an hour ago I was at a waypoint in the Gendarran Fields and within the span of 5 minutes I saw at least 10 bots show up at the waypoint and instantly place several traps before running north to the centaur area. At least a few of those were the same bot, so I think something up there was killing them and they just kept zerging it.

My Fern Hound is named Fierce Bark and my Jellyfish is named Smuckers.

Today I received an email that appeared to be an NCsoft newsletter about Blade & Soul, but when I scrolled to the bottom I noticed it says "This message was sent to dimushenko@hotmail.com." which is NOT my email address. When looking at the html of the email it looks like all the links point to "http://bladeandsoul.ncsoft.com" which I don’t think is the official website. Is there someplace I should forward this email to in order to report it? Or am I completely wrong and this is a legitimate email?
