I don’t know. But I didn’t know there was a chest near Tixx when I first approached him, so i never got anything to begin with

I have two toons, I may have thought he was talking about a chest I had on me. But I logged in with the other toon, and he said only one gift per citizen…and I had never approached him with this one.

The infirmium thing too…grrr!!

This happened twice today, we cleared the instance and after killing Toxx went to the chest. I opened it and…nothing. Everyone else in the party both times got stuff.

Also i talked to Tixx in Lions Arch and he said my present was in my bag, but I didnt get anything. Known issues?

I saw loads the other day, all identical female characters…then they all vanished at the same time

Wow, falls off the first page really fast….

We have EU and NA players across all servers. We’re casual, friendly and helpful..basically a family style guild.

Long read but you can skim thru and get a good idea of what we’re all about, if interested you can post your info there and get an invite. You don’t necessarily have to represent, but at the very least you’ll have a guild chat to keep you company and offer help, advice etc.

Again, at least at this point we are not hard core, just a family guild. We do dungeons, lots of Tixx runs etc. All we expect from members is to be friendly and helpful, and enjoy the company of others. We’re not immature leet kiddies, mostly adults. But we can be silly!

Yup, guesting is the top issue concerning our guild/players union. The leader created a cross server guild specifically because guesting was supposed to be part of the game. And we would also like to know whenever guesting happens, can na and eu players get together? Half of us are in the States, the other half not

I’m keeping my fingers crossed. But the lack of anything said by anet is discouraging. At least tell us it isn’t coming soon if that’s the case

Just now I came here and logged in. Came to this forum and was logged out, had to log in yet again. I’d make more use of these forums but the constant logging in is a big pain in the a@@

I don’t see how it’s boring..most other MMORPGs feel more like a grind. Here, you are exploring, helping out in spontaneous area events etc instead of mindlessly killing mobs. The game IS entertaining to me. I just play and explore, I don’t even keep track of leveling. That’s not the point, enjoying the content is

I haven’t seen anything official but keep hearing guesting is coming. Has there been any official eta for this? And if/when it happens, will eu and na folks be able to play together?

We have a server wide guild of sorts, folks spread across all servers and players in an and eu, it was created this way…I was told, I haven’t been playing more than three or four weeks…because guesting was going to be part of the game

Same here as of today. It downloaded something, now says the same thing you are getting

Obviously I have an internet connection, but on the launch screen it keeps saying “connection errors…retrying”

anyone else having trouble logging into the game? I keep getting connection error, retrying. I definitely have an internet connection right now.

Wow, having lots of issues with the Xmas events! I keep looking at my keyboard during the bell choir to see what color/number to hit, and getting booted pretty quickly. And so far can’t get past the snowflakes on the jumping Xmas present thing.

Guess ill keep practicing. Anyone have tips?

Not sure what you mean by empty lower level areas, I’m still in my starting area and there are tons of people.

Dunno why you’d want to power past the majority of the games content. Kind of like skipping most of the levels in a Mario game just so you can beat Bowser and rescue the princess. Then what do you do?

I’ve played almost all other mmorpgs, and I’m still learning how to master this one…but imo that’s part of what makes the game so fun! Keep at it, check out the Wikipedia, and ask questions

Far as fixing your items, look for a broken heart icon on your map/ above an npc’s head. They will repair your armor.

This game is different than most other similar games..which is one of the reasons I really like it. And yes, elementalists die very easily. You’ll have to do a lot of dodging and moving to help lessen damage. At least to get a better grip on the game you might want to try a Guardian, they are much more durable, that might ease your frustration while you learn the ropes.

Every time I come here I am logged out and have to re type in both my user name and password. All other forums I visit keep me logged in.

Aside from proper grouping (which I haven’t done yet) there are area events. Anyone that wants to take part can do so, and you’ll get Xperia etc depending on your contribution

That is/was a feature in Everquest. If you were checking out a player’s gear, they got a notification about it. By the reactions of some, you’d think you were trying to peek in their pants!

Seriously, I’d estimate we have LOTS of folks as part of operation union/Legion of Honour in this thread and in game, so far only 25 folks have registered in the website/forums.

Math, bah! I never took more than basic math way back in high school, and struggled with that.

I can figure things out and do most things related to numbers, so Im’m not a dummy. My problem in school was I couldn’t do it well using the way they wanted you to figure things out. I have my own way and it works for me, convoluted and weird as it may seem to others

By the way, a big thanks to…was it Kit?….sorry if I’m wrong. They sent me the elementalist level 10 training book, which I was a long way from being able to afford.

This is a great group of helpful, friendly people. If you don’t have a guild lined up, or are new to the game I couldn’t recommend Legion of Honor more highly

I have the same problem. You can always hit the numbered buttons to fire off a spell or attack, but the problem with that I have is, I have to take my eyes off the screen to find the right buttons. Which usually doesn’t end well for me

Level 11 ele here, and i die a lot. What’s worse is, I don’t yet have a full grip on the game itself, let alone an elementalist. But I am having fun. I have learned that any form or rooting type spell is helpful, as are AoE’s. But I try to not deal with more than one mob at a time if I can help it.

Plus, there is always running away!

Just an idea, if building a site they way you want is going to take some time, something like this may be good temporarily until that happens

It’s funny, on the general GW forum there’s a thread about the game dying, empty servers etc. There are always loads of people running around when I play.

So is refining just using the salvage kit? I thing I made a leather square or jute square or something. But the only things that will go into the discover window are bone chips and dust

Level 12 elementalist here, and I figure I’d try crafting….tailoring and artificing. I’ve crafted some in EQ before, pretty straightforward.

I can’t figure out GWs system for the life of me. People have given me links in game (thanks Legion Of Honor!) to different websites on crafting, so I went to them and did some research. Also a kind player went to the crafting station I was at after I did a /yell (map?) and tried to help me figure it out.

But honestly, none of it makes sense to me. The discover window does nothing, I tried a salvage kit, it changed a few items but still they wouldn’t even go in the discovery window.

Is the system really this convoluted, or am I just a dumba@@?
