That doesnt work, I tried it. I ran through once on overflow, then went out of overflow and went through. When I zoned in and out several times into overflow again everything that I had done before was still done. Had to guest to be able to get all 75 acts
It’s account specific? I thought it was toon specific. Cool!
Same here. Then I spent lots of time trying to figure it out. And couldn’t get the achievment without also doing overflow and Guesting
Ok thanks..didn’t see that. The (vague) way things were worded made it sound like they both started at the same time
Just finished Wayfarers, went to Diessa but there is nothing. Isn’t the new event supposed to be in both zones?
No.
Until or unless there is higher content, its pointless
I’ll agree with some here, the dailies seem like a chore..a checklist you have to get done, things you have to go out of your way to do that you wouldn’t normally do in the course of gameplay. It seems grindy to me.
I had never paid attention to them before, but yesterday everyone was talking about them so I gave it a shot. After several hours of my normal play I had hardly any of them. I spent several more hours purposely grinding them out…doing stuff I don’t really enjoy doing.
I feel sorry for those who may only have an hour or so of playtime a day.
I think its post processing in graphic options. Disable it. Worked for me
Same problem here, said it was already running. Did a reboot and tried again, now says program is not responding. Having this on both my laptop and desktop. Just can’t egret into the game.
Although I don’t RP, I am on TC and respect those that do RP. Just one thing though, please keep erping to a private chat. I really don’t wanna hear thatstuff
You should be able to buy them at the gem store
Official word is sometime before midnight pst. No more specific than that
I just look for the wooden doors on the world map
Glitch was logged in yesterday and said he may have solved his problem.
If by chance you posted here and haven’t gotten an invite, please follow kits link to the website or repost here. Some pending invites appear to have disappeared into the ether
Although I was kicked from this guild for some reason, I am still available to help people on the Maguuma server, just whisper or ingame mail me if needed.
Not sure what happened, you certainly weren’t purposely booted. Repost your info or send one of us a whisper
The other suggestion is simply allow players to flag 1 home server on NA and 1 home server on EU. The account data is only on one datacentre at any one time (and can guest out into that region), but the player is allowed free transfers between their NA and EU homes. Any other server transfer is paid. There is no WvW conflict since NA does not fight EU.
.
Exactly…a simple solution at least for now
Down a few pints for me, glitch. You guys have some pretty good beer.
Yeah, the region thing isn’t what we had hoped for, but that doesn’t change anything far as the union or its purpose.
One thing that could help this whole issue, at least in part, is this:
As in WoW, EQ and other similar games, you could have multiple toons on the same account on different servers and regions. Why not here? Then at least folks could play in either region

Not being able to guest in different regions defeats the purpose of guesting to a very large degree. Why wasn’t the fact this wouldn’t be possible announced at launch? It would have changed the way people and guilds chose servers and regions to a large degree. The cross server/region guild I am a part of was created because it was thought when guesting was implemented we could play together. This essentially divides our guild, and the player base in general
PS for anyone saying that this was doable in GW1, please understand that it was not. GW1 had a completely different infrastructure that made something that looked like this possible. They are not the same thing.
Well, why wasn’t this game designed with the same or similar infrastructure? If the region restrictions were made clear at the beginning, this wouldn’t be such a blow to the player base.
Wow, this totally sucks. Since the NA/eu restrictions were not in gw1, many assumed it would be done here as well.
I’m part of a cross server NA/eu guild and union that was created in anticipation we would all be able to play together once guesting was implemented. This throws a wet blanket over the entire game
When you install GW2 on a computer, laptop, whatever, do the graphic settings automatically adjust to that device? I’ve been dinking with the overall settings, Auto detect, best perfomance and for best looks. I’m guessing autodetect will find the best settings for your rig, a compromise between performance and looks, or???
Its just finishing downloading…jeez have patience
Ok, thanks. Beat restarting the game over and over
You sure rebooting the game? I haven’t done that but a few times saw seven servers full, but mostly six. This by just either logging from game to char select and bringing up and closing down the server screen.
Would be good to know for sure so I’m not wasting my time
I’ve been doing that and sorting by order each time so full at top, then very high etc. Each time I open and close server window and do that, does the order of ones that are, say full, mean anything? Or just random?
Just wondering if the top full server is the fullest, and the bottom one closest to being just very high versus full
So I understand you go the char select screen and bring up servers, transfer to the one you want…assuming it isnt full. But if it is, and you camp out on the screen does the server status refresh itself, or do you have to close out and reopen servers screen from character select?

You mean you ARE interested and want an invite, or you aren’t interested and DON’T want an invite??
Not sure about GW, but most other games allow you to run two separate accounts on the same computer at once. It’s called boxing. I ran two to three accounts and had my own little group going in Everquest at times. One guy had multiple computers and regularly played four to five toons at once…and did it very well
Not much point in leveling that fast IMO. You miss/outgrow most of the content
I got to the top to view the vista and the champion bandit nailed me because i couldnt do anything
Just went back to Queensland to get my last vista in bandithut caves. All is fine until you walk in, then it’s so bad you can’t even move!
I hope guesting is a part of this, even between EU and NA. Would make the game much better
Indeed, lots of fun in game and in chat
Wow, is it just me or is this thread taking forever to load for everyone else? Yeah, lots of great new people in chat lately!
It’s whatever you want it to be. It was created as chat channel for companionship, help etc, so at its foundation it is just that…a community initiative to draw people together. There is also a guild, but not in the traditional sense, since the union encompasses all servers and countries…hopefully guesting will come soon. So no, you don’t have to be in the attached guild or represent.

Cool! Might wanna put that info on the website as well
How come they don’t have patch notes like other games? In game message said something about a new build, whatever that means

casual, cross server and friendly
Still growing and still open
My guardian is now level 20. For the most part I just upgrade my gear when something drops that is better than what I have, although I have gotten a few things at Black Lion.
I guess my concern is spending lots of money on something that in several levels/days of play that I’ll outgrow.
No clue. And yeah, I’ve seen some pretty bad names out there like Buttstink and the like
This game is different than wow on purpose. I’m glad they don’t have the generic “quests” like most other mmorpgs have, the hearts are the closest thing to it. I do the dynamic events and personal story and am levelingnquitenfast
I’m relatively new to this game…but why would someone pay real life money for fake (and in this case useless) in game pixels?
