In the past, a lot of times the game would try to load and would flicker black..then nada. I’d usually be able to get in after a few tries. Wonder if this is related?

I’m finding a GW2 DAT file, but can’t open it. says too big for notepad.

I got a 1920 × 1080 resolution monitor today. All great, except the game won’t load. 1280 × 720 was the resolution it was set to with the old monitor. When I try to launch after logging in to the launcher, a black box flashes on the left side of the screen for maybe 10 seconds, then nothing. I tried setting the monitor resolution to 1280 × 720, still won’t load.

I’ve googled the issue, but can’t find the settings it talks about.

This is the main reason I don’t play as often as I used to. Farming and zergs, I feel like I’m a treadmill doing repetitive stuff that just isn’t fun. It’s like a large chunk of the player base are mindless lemmings, following each other from one event to another…not even caring if they win the event or not as long as they get loot

Looks like the old problem is back….Brenda’s ale delivery won’t kick off, thus SB won’t spawn

This is also happening on tarnished coast. She won’t move, SB won’t pop

I’m kind of stuck at 80 myself. I’ve got the best stats on my armor and weapons, so what now? The one thing I don’t like about this game is the only other thing I can do is grind for skins…not higher stats. And honestly, looks/skins just don’t matter to me. higher stats yeah

Just a guess, but with the free weekend trial coming up, I heard they…at least temporarily…expanded server capacity. So it may be more people on, which we all know from area events, makes for horrid lag

In the account support forums and somewhere else here they’ve posted a warning about it. I got one a few days ago. Red flag #1…it gives you a link to log into your account. No business, bank, game or whatever will do that. #2 my email routed it to junk mail, even though other Anet stuff goes to inbox.

Until reading this, I had no idea that a unique item meant you could only have one. I just took it to mean it was special, like exotic, ascended or soemthing

I just got one myself…figured it was phishing, but wanted to make sure. What really gives it away is they want you to click a link and enter your info. Duh!

Was there a change made in chest drops, not just the regular chests but the rare chest as well?

Today on my 35 necro I did shatterer, first time for my account…and no yellow chest. Is there now a level minimum for those? I know 35 is low to do kitten but I was able to get to the we and survive and get gold achievement

People are too impatient. I look at timers for events or wander the zone til I see one or it’s called in map chat. There’s no need to zone in and immediately spam map chat. It’s not a race

We did that about a month ago. But we couldn’t get to the portal, once we entered the area we were suspended in the air and really couldn’t do much.

Maybe where we were was slightly different? We jumped off the side of rata sum, careful to avoid getting caught on any ledges. We landed on some rocks next to a lake. Wandered around a little bit and found that enclosed area with the portal.

What makes it worse, is with the same patch I now see no players but loads of the names AND titles floating Around. In LA all I see are all the names and no toons, it wasn’t like that before. Of course after awhile the toons load, but I don’t think before you’d see the names floating in air, names showed after character were visible.

Nope. Their timer did not take daylight savings into account, since not everyone observes it. But in my time zone, the daily reset changed from 4 to 5 pm…because my time zone jumped an hour ahead. What tolunart says may have something to it

Yeah, since daylight savings the daily reset changed where I am from 4 to 5 PM, so that was definitely taken into account.

I have gotten the rare chest from SB, but not after the daily reset…usually later that night or the next morning.

^^^ exactly. Needless clutter, and titles are a dime a dozen. I really don’t care what title everyone has….if I did the clicking on them option would be the best solution.

Anyone know why this happening? Anyone else noticing this issue? If the reset time for event mobs and rare chests has been changed, fine, I’d just like to know what that time is

Used to be, the separate chest with the rare you get for a boss mob per account per day reset at the same time the dailies reset.

So after yesterday’s daily reset, I did SB…no yellow chest but reg chest. Just a few minutes ago, I did it with a different toon than i did yesterday and got the chest with the rare as well as the normal chest. What should have happened is, my first SB try after daily reset should have spawned the rare chest, and today’s try no rare chest but just the normal chest.

This game has something for everyone….hardcore, casual and silly content. IMO it’s demo is broad.

Bottom line though, if you don’t like to laugh and have fun while playing, maybe playing video games aren’t for you.

Good thing this game tried to be more original and not recycle the same races you see in every other MMORPG.

I just read somewhere that the adventure box is kind of a beta…meaning it or something similar may become a permanent part of the game

Veldan, yes. Ever since the patch I see masses of floating names and titles. Even before the titles I wasn’t seeing that. Of course LA has tons of that

I’ve had great luck with ectos. More often than not I’ll get at least one, and often three from one item.

What’s really annoying in high population areas is seeng no players, but a mass of names and those lame titles all floating around in mid air

Half the time by the time I get the shaman targeted he’s already dead.

The game is not very demanding on computers, dependant on your settings. I run fine on a six year old desktop and six year old laptop on autodetect

Since the patch Im seeing everyones titles, it also seems I’m seeing more players names from a distance, even though the players aren’t being rendered.

Short of turning off all player names, is there a way to turn off the titles? When there are a lot of people around, all the titles etc limit visibility

Yeah pretty expensive. Just to make sure I understand, doing this allows you to change all names on your acct if you want, or just one toon?

Looks like restarting the servers may have fixed sb…it was borked on several servers because a pre event…Brenda and the ale wagon…wouldn’t start.

Thanks for that. I have a terrible time targeting them especially SB. That’ll help a lot

On my server and some others, Brenda is bugged and her event can’t be started. And until that event starts, sb will not spawn.

At any rate, its annoying that its been broken all week and still not fixed

Not only on Tarnished Coast, but on other servers too. Many are trying to get final rest, we can try with multiple toons per day now…come next Tuesday only once per account. This will really suck if they wait til the patch to fix it. As is, we can’t even try for sb once a day

Couldn’t they reset Brenda or something to kick start stuff?
