I challenge to look at this thread and the one form last week and find any post made by me or another member of Soul that is inappropriate. I think the only thing I’ve posted in the last 2 weeks was poking fun at Kodiac and responding Kiwi’s indignation. I don’t control BP. I don’t even control Soul; We have decided as a group that we will conduct ourselves in a certain manner. Others on BP want to have fun on the forums. I personally choose let my play do the talking. To lump us all together is a bit of a stretch.

Rice, and all of Kiwi, I’m sorry that you missed dinner in order to GvG. I’m sorry you thought we had 30 people, because that is not, nor has it ever been, the case with Soul. I’m also sorry that many of our members had obligations in real life so they were unable to play a video game tonight. We expected to have a least 15, but we were unable to get that many. Instead of making you wait even longer (and to release you so that you may play WvW for the rest of the night), I politely informed you of our dilemma. and suggested that we either do a 10v10, we reschedule, or we just cancel all together. As of yet, I have not received any answer to my suggestions. Then again, considering the childish manner in which you have conducted yourself on these forums, I don’t think I will be going out of my way to reschedule.

Understandably, our current opponents may not like group combat this size, and I guess that’s why you’ve chosen to stay on T7 servers. So I apologize that you’ve been forced outside your comfort zone – don’t get mad at BP, however, this is on ANet.

I can tell you’re not being malicious and I won’t be either. I don’t believe anyone has been forced to do anything as PAXA has fought all the same servers y’all have with all the same 40-50 mans and still get our 2-300 kills a night. Zerg school has no graduation plan in this game…. They want you’re tuition forever and for always, so why not stay in college?

Less than 5% of the total pvp population has graduated Zerg mentality. That’s pathetic. Even running with 15 you still end up using far fewer abilities than we are ever challenged with. And no one cares to put themselves in that much of an “uncomfortable situation” so Zerging continues.

Well, no offense, but my past experiences with PAXA have been that you like to get kills, but not necessarily play the WvW objectives games. Which – I think – may play into your notions of what has been forced upon you. That is to say, you never need more than 1 person to get some kills in WvW. However, if you wish to successfully defend a WvW objective against zergs of 30+, a small, coordinated group of 15 is highly effective and necessary to secure those objectives.

As I previously alluded, T7 is a great place to have small group combat since the zergs aren’t quite as big and/or prevalent. T5 is not – I frankly have not roamed solo for months, because I simply couldn’t accomplish much of anything without being chased down by 15 players that kept streaming out of their waypoint’d keep at us no matter how many times I killed them. (That and Warriors were nerf’d really hard for a time). Therefore, many of us felt in necessary to organize into larger, more effective fighting units.

We are continuing these tactics this week in order to get some more practice, and in anticipation of fighting bigger servers in the future. Thus, these smaller servers are at the mercy of our larger groups. And that’s something that I don’t think is fun for anyone – and that’s a problem that Anet has created with this odd randomization of match ups. The ironic thing is that when we fight a bigger server, our groups of 15 will be crying out to those servers to fight us with less than 30+ zergs It’s a vicious circle!

SBI runs in one massive zerg from fight to fight. no small groups. no 2nd commander on the map, just 1 massive zerg. Can’t even fight them as each encounter turns into Stonemist level lag slideshow fight.

Gonna throw this video Kyle Finnegan put together here. We don’t normally do this on the public forums, but it was a great evening and fun was had by all, and Kyle did a great job of editing a massive amount of footage and putting into one very epic WvW video (imo). I’m also quite proud of how far our little BP Zerg-Breaker initiative has taken us. Kudos to all the BP involved, to Ebay for pushing us to improve, and to AR for their tenacity and the great fights.

EDIT: Adding to this, I saw so many problems with how you were attempting to take Bay that it wasn’t funny. Multiple chances to make trebuchets to destroy our walls or gate and drive us nuts, and none of them were taken. There was even a point where we expected a golem rush (because it’s what we would expect ourselves and AR to do), and got nothing. You had the numbers to pull it off, but you didn’t take it…it’s inefficient, and slightly (no offense) pathetic. I hope you guys get some strategy, skill, and get over this “numbers always = win” mindset you guys have whenever you see us again after this week, because then you’ll be a real challenge (and probably really fun to fight).

Worry not, you didn’t miss much beyond the usual (Rekz was very gracious in buying us round after round of dirt naps … I’d imagine their wallets would be empty if not for all the bags we reimbursed them with hehehe. I think we went ~10 rounds, and from what I could see got a grand total of 1 confirmed kill in the final round.

We’ve got a lot to work on, but I think with patience and practice we may one day get there. Certainly with Tira’s input, and many other of EBay’s friendlies, it’s been a huge help

I just want to point out that we learned how to fight zergs while in NSP. We were in the red server fighting against the stronger BP/AR zergs. It took numerous wipes but with practice we got better and better at it.

We understand your perspective of being outmanned but take advantage of this opportunity to learn how to fight overwhelming numbers in open field.

And now that we’re outnumbered a lot of BP’s guilds are trying to learn this as well. But I think it’s fair to say most of us can’t fight Rekz yet. Rekz is not overwhelming numbers, that’s fighting a highly organized machine of death! (Though you guys definitely pull the numbers these days as well) I think we’re getting closer though!

Ebay certainly kicking some kitten this is true. Though to be fair, Borlis Pass has stopped fighting Ebay and is focusing solely on Anvil Rock. They just can’t figure out its the duty of the weaker servers to ruin it for the stronger, but instead they just kept going into our keeps while we were trying to wreck Ebay borderlands. We got tired of constantly being back doored by AR while we tried to fight Ebay, so now AR is gonna be the red team in this tier. On the plus side though, this means Ebay may finally get their wish and move up a tier. Still a long time till friday though.

Lets be honest here. You got tired of coming in 3rd , so now your playing for 2nd.

You cried that DR was a pushover for EB and that it allowed EB to steam roll the tier. In comes AR and evens out the match allowing for some good matches. EB has lost points every week AR has been in this match up.

With both AR and BP keeping EB in check it meant that BP might not always be in 2nd place, and after 2 straight weeks in 3rd place your egos got the best of you. Instead of fighting the good fight and taking it to the bigger server you guys revert back to your T7 form and pick on the smaller server in the tier.

Its pretty clear that you guys want a partner to fight Ebay but only as long as they agree to be your kitten and stay in 3rd place.

So now your going to focus on AR and teach us what? That we belong in 3rd place? No kitten Sherlock. Keep it up and you’ll be in this tier with DH in red. Hows that going to work out for you? You’ll be crying again that DH rolls over for ebay.

Granted, there are some of you who see beyond this and do your best to stay the course, but it seems that the kittenhats are running BP again.

C’mon man, you’re smarter than that. We’d all but given up 2nd place in the hopes that AR (or BP!) could make a push for 1st place. But despite our best efforts AR didn’t want to play ball and didn’t push on Ebay enough. We literally did ALL of the heavy lifting, holding Ebay in their BL for the entire day with utterly no help from AR. I NEVER see ANYONE from AR in Ebay, and I spent a lot of time in that zone, because I tend to go to the 1st place server’s BL. I’ve NEVER seen AR take and hold a keep there. For weeks I’ve never even seen an AR group hit Ebay BL on reset. Instead everyone is in our BL! Hell, read what WARlords said in this thread earlier: they are basically scared to hit Ebay because they get their butts kicked every time they go there.

Yeah, maybe it will be a lesson to AR… if you want to play BP vs. AR we will crush you. In a period of less than 8 hours we gained a 10k lead over you. If you want to play AR and BP vs Ebay and playing for first, then lets talk.

But really what it comes down to is we’ve been losing rating for weeks trying to cooperate to some degree, while your server has been essentially backstabbing BP in order to secure second place while boosting your rating. Basically, we need to get our rating up again, maybe have a little bit of a morale boost, and hopefully we can start playing WvW how it’s meant to be played in the coming weeks.

So to you, I reply in kind: Reap what you sow. You’re kinda in the shoes right now that we’ve been in for the last couple weeks.

We had at least 5 engagements last reset with minimal to no interference and they were all decided in about 6 seconds each. We probably wiped you a total of 15 times that night just in our BL. All without our 1000APM professional Starcraft Korean guild leader. You killed a grand total of zero of us every single time. Congrats downing 2 or 3 Sekz in one single fight (the one by south ruins)…your guild/server dies so EZ they rallied in seconds. My guildies get super sad whenever we lose our 25 bloodlust/etc stacks. Jerks. BP’s record as a server isn’t great in this regard. Sekz loses more stacks to disconnects/crashes and porting between maps than to actual BP players…by a long, long, long, long shot. I’m super bummed about losing stacks when we port maps…it must be like how you guys feel all the time. Darned map port…wiping my stacks…so OP!!!!

Point being, you are in no position to brag about anything because you guys are a dumpster guild. Descensioned into the DUMPSTER DUMPSTER DUMPSTER! I don’t know why your memory is so bad since we farm you all the time. My memory for Sekz wipes is really terrible because I can count on 1 hand the number of times we wiped in the last 2 weeks. CoS flat our ran from an open battle with roughly even numbers. it was funny. almost as funny as a pK group waypointing away with 2-1 numbers on us. and yeah warhammer sucked, but i liked the consistent matchups and knowing my enemy – which is really all i said, so why your jimmies all rustled? it’s not like we’ve ever get to fight rekz straight up. you always hit us from the flank while we’re engaged with the 50 other ebay zerging around. not too hard to do.

BURN is probably the biggest guild on BP. That being said, they have a lot of different focuses – so only a portion of their players do WvW on a regular basis. Nonetheless, a valued group!

I can agree with the love of [GF]. I’ve ran with them multiple times in the EB borderlands and in the EBG and they really know their stuff. I feel myself getting better whenever I run with them, and I don’t know if it’s the confidence boost they bring or their tactical know-how.

GF also just has a lot of individually skilled players that know how to play every situation without someone telling them exactly what to do! That really gives them a leg up against 90% of groups out there.

Honestly, no harm meant, I hope BP gets pushed down a tier for a bit and DR comes back up. Would give us all a slightly fresh mixup. I don’t think eBay is going anywhere anytime soon either, so we’re stuck here.

Some really awesome open field battles in BP BL. Some of the best 3 way fight I’ve ever seen. Each group was constantly maneuvering for position, until something gave and all out slaughter ensued.

Exactly, he thinks that the most of us used 100b spec was because we thought “Oh, this is OP and easy to play, I’ll only use this build”. We used that build, because everything else we tried was pretty much rubbish and the glass 100b was the only one that could be up to par with other classes. Although it was still one of the weakest 1v1 specs and only shined when used together with good teamsupport.

100% agree. Can’t stand people who call you out, “100b noob zomg!” That was the Warrior’s hardest hitting ability and the only thing that made them viable in the meta / 1v1s. Not using 100b is like asking a thief to not use stealth, a mesmer to not use clones, or an elementalist to use a build other than a close approximation to 0/0/10/30/30.

I, like you Psybunny, used many different builds on my warrior to try them out. But at the end of the day GS / Axe+Shield was always the best for me. And I was okay with that because I loved the play style. Warriors were UP and challenging, requiring finesse and skill to land the appropriate combos on a skilled opponent. It was all the more satisfying killing the other classes in 1v1s of 1vXs.

Now I’m forced to play some stupid CC + shout build in WvW because my personal playstyle/meta is completely broken.

Seriously. I duel all the time in WvW and in sPvP even. I’d laugh out loud if I ever got a HB +frenzy combo off in 1v1. I used Frenzy situationally – usually in conjunction with my Axe – to burn down tanky targets like Ele’s and Guardians. I’ve tried to do the same since this patch and it’s literally impossible to kill a D/D Ele now in that same manner the damage and been nerf’d too significantly.

Frenzy was also KEY to: Revives ; Stomps. We completely lose this ability because of the increased debuff timer.

Don’t go on about Frenzy + HB being noob. It was our hardest hitting ability. That’s like asking a Thief to not stealth, or a Mesmer to not use clones. That would just be ignorant.

Banners suck unless they fix their clunky usage.
Rampage is terrible in WvW, though I’ve seen it used well in sPvP.
Quickness nerf did nothing to Ele’s, Mesmers, or Guardians. These classes tend to be tankier / hard to kill and have just received a defacto buff since I’m now doing 1/2 the damage I used to be able to put out. Oh, and I’m more vulnerable than ever as well.

This was a broad across the board change. It boggles the mind that they claim their aborted stealth fixes were too game changing, but they then pull this kitten?

Hell, I don’t care about the Quickness being nerf’d. I care that they didn’t compensate for it by reducing the frenzy debuff, or giving us Boon Killer or something so that we may hope to do something useful in exchange for losing half our damage. In terms of doing DPS now, the GS is utterly useless without a functional quickness buff. Sweet, people can learn to use other weapons (Well they don’t have a kitten choice!).

So many good things about this patch, but these changes were ill conceived and are game-breaking in terms of PvP class balance. And Nourous – you are completely and utterly wrong on everyone one of your facts. Those would be opinions, and bad ones.

Imo its fine to nerf Frenzy if the devs would compensate for that in any way. The fact that they buffed Frenzy by 1 second is probably even more of a nerf than an actual buff
