I created the Static Discharge burst build for spvp/wvw back in beta (YouTube.com/VozTactics to check out the video). Also I’ve played for a couple top tier teams like SOAC Blue, Blacklisted [Envy], Schubanhi, and briefly JFK. I’m not as well known because I don’t have a popular twitch or have a steady team right now haha.

Thx for share that build I must say its really bit insane:-) I tried it yesterday in hotjoin and hold point aginst 3 players almost 10 minutes (It coud be longer but match ends:-P):-) Just switched Elixir S for FT after a while (and fast acting for regenerator.)

When we’re CC’d we have 53% physical damage reduced along with 3400 armor. There isn’t an easy way to kill us haha

@daydream. Engineer bunks have the most condi removal in the game right now with healing turret, super elixir, fumigate (only for allies), throw wrench in super elixir, elixir r, double thrown elixirs (up to 4 unique conditions removed every 2 seconds).

The only reason I find GW2 boring to watch is that I can never tell what’s going on. All it looks like is a clusterfook of particle effects and tiny asurans everywhere. I mean seriously, even the shoutcasters have nothing to say about the gameplay because there is nothing to even say. It’s just 2 teams relying heavily on passives and AI to eventually down someone who will eventually get instantly rezzed, then the process continues. Anyone remember the good ol’ power meta days where there were actual plays involved and you could actually tell which teams where good based on what they did. Hell, I remember facing Qt back when paid tournaments were still out and they demolished us every time. It wasn’t because they had a better comp or builds, but because they were simply more skilled and had better strategies… Ugh I miss that meta.

All of my yes. It’s absolutely mind-boggling that we were forced into this HORRIFIC meta simply because of 10 players that wanted to play in a hotel. It’s absolutely astounding that the devs even claim to have no knowledge of the PvP IN THEIR OWN GAME.

I’ve recently stopped playing this game for the simple reason that’s it’s just not fun anymore. For instance, I’ll go into a solo queue (or team queue occasionally) and end up in a match against stun warriors, spirit rangers, and necros. Fighting against a stun warrior is probably one of the most frustrating things in this game for me. The simple argument is to “dodge all of their stuns n00b l2p”, however, it’s impossible to dodge every single stun from those tiny asurans. When do you get hit by them, it’s already gg. You literally CANNOT DO ANYTHING for 5 seconds while they do 100b and you just have no choice but to smash your keyboard with a hammer because you have no chance to win.

Fight against a spirit ranger? The argument “kill the spirits then their a ranger with no stun breaks or anything”. How in the world can you kill the spirits when you’re being attacked by a player and a pet that can fear/hard cc you out the ass?? Not to mention the spirits act in such a manner that they’re constantly moving out of the AOEs you try to hit them with. No chance in a 1v1, gg.

Fight against a necro? No comment needed.

Honestly, this game was much better right before the quickness nerf. That’s when there was a good meta that was “decently” balanced. The reason it was so much better than this kittenhole of a meta was because it took skill to win your fights. There was none of this petting zoo AOE condi nuking, there were actual plays and strategies involved.

ANet, I know you don’t care about PvP anymore and this is the reason you’ve lost, yet another, loyal player.

Dont blame you. Meta chased away players and teams. TPvP is stale… play against the same 3 teams and super pug groups all night, it makes me think about taking a break.

It’s not that they are trying to sync, I think it’s just unintentional. For instance, I somehow queued with my friend Mini Ken for 5 matches in a row, however I wasn’t trying to sync with him.

Build looks good and is on par with what I figured you were running trait/rune wise. The only real question I have is do how do you feel about your self condition removal? From what I can tell you only have your turret to remove conditions for yourself, yeah you have solid removal for your team, but what about you? O.o

You also have melandru runes, elixir gun 5, and energy runes. Also a neat little trick is to use the throw wrench in the elixir gun field to remove 2 more conditions!

You do realize that we’re on the same team and he’s trolling…. Right? This build is made to hold nodes and support your team. The way to use this build as effectively as possible is to make use of the magnet and fumigate and to play smart. If you just want to stay alive, you can do what I am doing in the end of my video, however, if there’s a team fight than you provide immense support via your utilities you bring to the table.

Yeah, that sounds like it could work for what it’s trying to do. My build is more centered towards team fights and tanking as many people as possible.

Most of you guys know me as Vöz and know that I LOVE to play bunker on my engineer. I currently play as an engi bunker for my team (still deciding on a name haha) and have beaten most of the top tier teams while running this build.
Now before you start copy-pasting my spec and replacing your guard, you should probably see what an engineer bunker can do better/worse than a guardian.

Pros:
~Much more frequent team condi removal.
~Can survive much longer in some circumstances. (against condi heavy teams)
~Can guarantee stomps.
~Much easier to get fast decaps with proper use of magnet.
My personal favorite ~You can pull enemies WAY out of position with magnet to setup burst for your team.

Cons:
~Much less access to team stability.
~Not as much team peels in some circumstances.
~More difficulty securing razz’s (If throw Elixir S get’s a wrong proc).

Alright, enough chatting, without further adu, I present to you…
