Traits: 0/0/30/30/10
0/0/I, VIII, IX/ VI, X, XII/ IV
Weapon: Rifle
Amulet: Shamans amulet with a Cleric jewel
Runes: 6 Svanir runes
Sigil: Sigil of Energy
Utilities: Med Kit / Elixer Gun / Flamethrower / Elixer R / Supply Crate

Tips:
1. Dodge whenever possible, you will get energy back whenever you swap kits because of the sigil of energy proc.
2. Flamethrower removes a condition on swap (with a 4-6 second cooldown I believe, not sure on exact number).
3. While invul in the svanir rune proc, you can swap to elixer gun for a quick heal, then dodge out and use your toolbelt heal to get back up to max HP (Your toolkit heal will automatically recharge when invul, as it syncs well with the traits setup).
4. You have access to multiple knockbacks with this setup, however if you wish to be slightly more tanky, you can use p/s and change the inventions VIII trait to VII.
5. This build has excellent condition removal, but it still struggles with high burst from thieves. Watch out for those buggers ^-^

Personally I use this for my bunker setup and I can hold 2-3 without problems.

We just need some actual benefits for playing. Unlike some people, I don’t feel that grinding 5+ hours a day in mindless spvp is worth what it brings to the table. Not to mention the pvp system in general is just a complete kittenfest of grind and repetition.

How is it anything close to a grind? You create a character, do the 5 minutes tutorial, and go to the Mists. Bam, you can walk into hotjoin and compete equally with everyone else.

It takes a stupidly high amount of hours to rank up once you get r40+….

Hey, so I hear that you can’t kill anything with your engi. I hear that engis are pathetic with conditions compared to a necro. I HEAR THAT ENGIS ARE BAD. Well, I believe once you try this build, everything you recently thought will become clear. This build focuses on doing massive condition damage along with surviving with ease. EDIT: Remove 10 in firearms to take out “Napalm Specialist” in return for 10 in explosions for the bomb radius trait.

EDIT 2: I used the throw turret trait because of a previously unpatched bug regarding a double heal with it. Change that trait how you see fit.

First off, I’d like to thank you for the time you spent making the post, at least it had some thought in it like other QQ posts’. My thought on this topic is I firmly believe a team SHOULD be able to run as many of a certain class as they want. When you are limited to only 1 class type per team, it reminds me of WoW. It reminds me in that aspect because it’s just like “playing the healer”. If you have 4 of a certain class on a team and need one more but a person can’t join because they want to play the class they enjoy. Taking away someone’s experience because they are being forced to use something they don’t like to play is going against how GW2 works. Right now it’s mostly a casual game, so ANet will favor to that audience. Of course this is all my personal opinion, but I just feel the current system is superior to the one you suggested.

Not with the critical damage and stats added. If you want, you can also use scholar or ogre if you are just against using divinity

Use all divinity runes with a sigil of fire on your rifle.

They shouldn’t be deleted from the game at all, it takes any skilled player a matter of seconds to decipher the player from the clones. Also, in regards to beating them, I find AOE attacks and just being patient to find the right target is crucial to beating them.

@coglin, so when you switch to nade kit, the kit refinement can get its maximum effectiveness and hit you with all of the grenades

Just want to point out that Teldo was either not playing 100nades at all, or extremely badely. He never once did the right way to burst (immob, stand on top, swap to nade kit, barrage, etc). I would not base this build’s “power” judging from him.

I believe they are weak where they used to be strongest (bunker for instance), but they still are top tier for high burst and support AOE. If you are struggling with engineer in pvp, feel free to shoot me a message here or ingame, I’ll be more than happy to help.

@Walorx, well our turrets did get buffed so that our condi damage, duration, healing power, and boon duration all increase our turrets in the respective areas, so for a condi build with the appropriate turrets (see what Anymras put) would possibly be stronger than other builds due to all the condi damage they’ll be doing.

They are still extremely weak and die to practically any AOE attack though unfortunately. Let’s hope they get more survivable in the next patch!

Until they buff turrets, it really won’t be near as effective as most other builds. But I guess if you wanted to try it, maybe try flame turret, thumper, and FT with a rifle (maybe a geomancy or similar sigil) to keep them CCd and constantly hit by your turrets?

Absolutely not. Underwater is extremely unbalanced and there is no way to stomp. If they add the map into the rotation, itll suck.

This system right now is absolutely perfect imo. PvPers don’t need gems, so there’s no point in getting them. Not to mention paids are now popping 24/7 and it’s giving new players a chance to try tournaments with not as big risk! +1 to the current system

Well I typically run grenade kit/tool kit/net turret for my 100nades.
And with that, here are the CCs I have.
1. Net Shot
2. Overcharged Shot
3. Magnet
4. Net Turret
5. Turret Toolbelt skill

But most people use Elixer R, so that’s still 3 CCs. That is still extremely hard to dodge all of them if the engineer times them well.

I am honestly not trolling, I genuinely believe this build is too powerful compared to other classes and should be scaled down somehow. Yes of course thief is also OP, also many other builds, but this build in particular is different from the rest. With a thieves’ typical BS combo, you generally have at least a second to react. If you can stunbreak/dodge then the thief is rendered useless until his intiative has regenerated. The thing I find “overpowered” in the 100nades build is the extreme amount of CC they contain to make sure that they can INSTANTLY kill you. No, you don’t have a second to react, it will kill you 100% of the time instantly if you can’t dodge the cc. So just dodge it, right? Well, the engineer has about 5, yes 5!, CCs in their arsenal to make sure you don’t move. Last time I checked, most people don’t bring 5 stunbreakers.

100nades>BS combo because 100nades is fail-proof.

Ah yes, the engineers finally have a viable spec! Now every engineer can instantly kill anyone in the blink of an eye! So why would this be bad… well here are my thoughts. I have even personally ran it for about a week straight and I can tell you that it facerolled anyone and everyone. Keep in mind, I have been playing only engineer since launch so this is coming from a fellow engi.

It’ just blatantly OP. It does 18-20k damage in less than a second, then after that you can STILL pull out huge numbers with leftover attacks after the burst. I really do feel this is bad for the engineer community because we are 100% DEFINITELY going to get a nerf. Maybe the AOE nerf will fix this? Maybe we’ll get, yet another, nerf regarding grenades/kit refinement. I personally feel this certain combination of attacks is beyond any classes ability to output damage and completely ruins any real chance your enemy has at retaliating. This is probably good for the engineers’ POV, but what ever happened to all classes being equal and not wanting insta-gib (and bunkers) in the game? I personally feel this build is just way too overpowered and it should be nerfed, thoughts?

I got accused of hacking for being “too strong” with 100nades. Point is, get video of what you are saying so we can at least see what you’re talking about. There are too many possibilities to just blatantly claim someone is hacking and report them.

If they were blocking they were using the shield attack from tool kit. Or if anything, they could have been dodging and using smoke bomb to blind all of your attacks

Didn’t they say it’d be LESS tickets to join, but a lesser reward as compensation?

100nades is one of the hardest builds in the game to play correctly, only know 2 engineers that can play it well… And one is the creator of the build haha. I don’t think SD is too much of a problem either because it’s really not that OP. I honestly feel we’re going to actually get a buff this time!

Anyone have a good warrior build for spvp/tpvp that doesn’t use the standard bulls charge, frenzy blah blah blah 100derps. I played a warrior today using a mace and a weapon I forgot that focused on HEAVY daze and condition removal, along with some pretty solid damage. Anyone have a build like that? I’d appreciate it a ton!

Warriors are actually extremely hard to play well in tPvP, I’d recommend guardian as a first class. Pretty easy to play with some nice utilities to mess around with in PvE and PvP alike

Why do you assume I’m not already doing this. Why would I turn away and look the complete opposite way when I’m attacking someone. Offhand pistol is too glitchy for me to take.

I personally prefer the pistol offhand for the conditions and immobilize works well in many occasions.

And regarding Powerr playing engi, it takes more than a few games to ultimately decide how the class is. I remember him trying to 100nades and not even playing it correctly. Don’t judge based on him, if you really want to see it in action played correctly, take a look at Five Gauge.

Any good engineer won’t blow his 100nades like a kitten before making sure you’re CC’d or immobilized. You might be able to see it coming, but you sure as hell can’t do anything about it haha

Are you guys seriously saying that engineers are bad at everything? I’m not sure you’ve played tPvP enough if you honestly think that way. I guess insta-killing a node with 100nades or having every condition in the game is bad, right? It’s the player, not the class. I mean come on, I run with a 5 engineer team for fun and we win practically every single tournament we play in with the amount of damage from nades and static discharge along with HUGE amounts of CC. Get real guys.
