At times we have to deal with a momentary lack of population in a map. A bestiary that provide insight on how-to would alleviate the weight of such situations. It would be a nice long term hobby for willing players (or even the community?) and maybe there is a slight chance it could be rewarding if anet end up publishing it in the forums or the wiki

As an exemple, a page could roughly look like the sketch seen in the attachment. Players would agree on a format, elaborate fancy layouts etc

For exemple, the young Jonathan decide to engage the Broodmother in the Cursed Shores, but daddy has to repair the car today and cannot help him. Jonathan goes to the forum and open the Bestiary. Here he finds a simple way to kill it alone: he is no longer blocked.

To the OP:

You can significantly increase your revenues per hour by selecting what you harvest based on the prices you observe in the trading post (curently Platine and Iron is a go).

Otherwise a simple and easy solution is to go for Elder Wood Logs (Cypress Saplings in Orr), it gives you the amount of money you said you were aiming for when you craft planks to sell afterward. There are two easy farming nodes where Cypress Sapling are bunched up, one in the Straits Of Devastation, another in Malchor Leap. It works.

In guild wars 1 players were telling a lot of bulkittens about high end content.
So i went on a crusade, and i demolished every single one of them, things like:
- you cant complete the Fissure Of Woe alone with 3 heroes, without Shadow Form, and especially with a ranger
- you cant complete the Tomb Of The Primeval Kings without Shadow Form, and with henchmens
- you cant complete Underworld alone, without Shadow Form, and with heroes (pre-doom)
- you cant do the whole Domain Of Anguish alone, withtout Shadow Form, and with heroes
etc

Then i helped as many strangers as i could, de-mystifying things like “you must all stack in a corner of the second room in DOA: Foundry” when the opposite actually make it way more easy if you are just curious enough to question the meta

Each time it was done thanks to builds or skills that the so called experts of guild wars 1 were condemning simply because the majority of other idiots were also condemning it.

When i finished collecting enough proofs in the form of a vast array of screenshots, i thought anet would finally start considering that players who have a hard time getting in a group are not just bad players and that they should ease the process of getting into a group. They did not.

Then came guildwars2, and how boy did they made sure this time to lock things up with for exemple multiple pressure plates so that when i soloed the previous fractals i meet a dead end at the dredges one, or making a green circle where 5 players must stand in so that people who solo Arah explorable area cant solo spirit vale.

It’s perfectly normal for anet to promote guilds above anything else in a title named “guild wars”. what amuse me is that players who were trying to make people feel terrible in guild wars 1 are probably the same who are trolling every post that have suggestions about forming raid groups. And anet do not give a kitten as long as these schmucks are in a guild.

3. Yes, it’s stupidly easy: i’m the perfect exemple of casual raiders who are interested in experiencing raids / dungeons, but who will never hit the button create. If i were anet, i would just add a mean for players to indicate that they are in the mood for a raid, as soon as 9 or 14 others did the same, anet pack us and teleport our group in the raid instance. It eliminates that step that block the majority of players for whatever reason. If someone leave before or during the raid, anet propell back immediately into our group the first player that have the flag: “i want to raid but i am too s h y (s h y is not a kitten, anet) to create a group or lfg” if he hasnt left a raid in the last 60 seconds.

Now for what i think of the OP:
- In your title: Raid – Group forming difficulty, the word “good” does not appear
- In 1. Do you find it difficult to form raid groups? the word “good” does not appear
- In 2. If yes, would you call forming a good group the biggest challenge in raids?, the word “good” suddenly appear

If i didnt know better i would say it’s on purpose. I say that as a tribute to players who dont say anything but still think nonetheless: adults recognize potential toxic issues immediatly. We are no more in college

It’s a more compact map with a fair amout of action packed in it. For me it means that:
1) From a navigation point of view, it’s not a nightmare to go where the action currently is
2) I got something to do every second (harvest), every minute (close rift portals), every hour (fight jade constructs and other bosses)

BUT here are some things that make me want to headbutt everyone at anet office:
1) They still havent learn that the main thing with an event is that you dont miss it. Four times out of five i missed the “jades constructs are teleporting” message because of the inventory bloating they use as a cheap mean to make us spend gems at the TP. And even when the final boss fight occurs right under your feet, you still dont see any indicator on the map. Hence you stand there wondering why nothing happened in the last 15 minutes when in fact there is lot going on. Which stupid company would add content to keep their player busy and then would make sure people have a chance to miss it.
2) Polish and pee-poo jokes from the devs: this will make its way in another post

When comparing how many new mouses i had to buy in order to replace the worn out ones i came with those numbers:
GW1 (whole life span): 1 mouse
GW2 (release till present): 3 mouses

Then i thought that stating those facts to anet would be sufficient to help even their village idiot understand that, with that much clicks in their game, Quality Of Life was still a winner compared to the fear of making the life of gold sellers easier, or the desire to make the devs life happier.

But it seems that nowadays you have to finger point everything , hoping that they will look at the moon instead of your finger. Obviously, simply stating “Aim for eliminating any un-necessary extra manipulations from the UI, because it’s so much common sens that it is a recurrent rule hammered in every platform Technical Requirements and Guide Lines” is not good enough.

Action Camera

The Action Camera suffer from the network angles snap.

To avoid broadcasting characters orientations on every changes, the engine will only forward it when a change reach a given threshold. The problem is that this mechanic is also applied to the Action Camera, making it impossible to aim accurately.

The phenomenon is particularily blattant when you got an enemy player or NPC whose head is the only body part not obstructed by the top of a wall. Your bow shots do not land where you are aiming excepted when you meet the angle snap threshold, making the Action Camera pointless.

Side note: i would rather have a key that enable the action camera as long as it is pressed than a key that disable the action camera as long as it is pressed because the later often get you killed when you have to escape a zerg that portal bombed on you.

Toughness Stat Conversion Effects Not Working

I suffer the same problems althought they are less noticeable. Your post reminded me that i had prepared 2 screenshots showing that upon equiping gear that should increase my cond dmg, it lowered it instead. I have yet to post them as soon as i will get back from work.

On a side note: optimized / lazy stats updates is the mother of all the stats errors you spot in games. These errors sometimes are too small to be noticeable but it’s not an excuse to not have in debug mode a strict / rigorous / non optimized stats calculations to check against the optimized / lazy one just to make sure that the results are what they should be.

Anet should not take the players stats so lightly. It’s at the very core of what players treasure the most with their characters

It just happened again as i type this post. We are stuck with the exploitable keep for another whole week. If it’s too hard for you to fix, hire someone who can. And even if you cant, It takes 5 minutes to add an obstacle that prevent it to happen again while waiting for a proper update.

More over while you are meditating on how ridiculous your customers are to complain about exploits that nullify all the mechanics your designers did put in place, allow me to remind you that village idiots who implement a wvw achievement that take 23 years to complete (you didnt see it before a player did warn you about it) are not the best persons to criticize us for asking you to maintain your kittening game.

Anyway, i ask to BL to look at the screenshot and to answer that question: was it really worth it, BL, was it really worth it?

There is a glitch that allow to enter overgrowth. I saw it for the first time from my own eyes, the mesmer not knowing i was on the third floor of the keep watching him trick jumping/portaling.

If you bury this bug too instead of fixing it, i post it on youtube, i post it on gw2 wiki, i post it on any social media deemed necessary, i dynamite your car, your cat with it and i send a letter to the president

I can no longer enter dungeons after joining a party. The game seems to think that my connection is faulty althought it appears to not be the case. since the game still allow me to do dungeons alone.

I can offer the point of view of someone who upgraded from ADSL 8Mbits/sec to a 100 Mbits/sec (download:10Mega Bytes/sec, upload:4Mega Bytes/sec ) Fiber Connection for WvWvW:
- Old connection: at 50 players on screen game is still responsive, 200+ players on screen (stone mist castle Blackgate+Sanctum Of Rall+Jade Quary), laggy as hell, skills do not activate, game disconnects.
- Fiber connection: 200+ players and downloading movies while playing is ok.

Note: in the US you may have a restricted bandwith usage per month, but we dont have that limitation in France. However with Google Fiber, the US will be 10 times faster than us.
