This thread is not the official support thread. You will have to send in a ticket to get your issue solved. They don’t take care of in-game issues here on the forum.
The question of high-capacity worlds is always with us. The best solution is often to mutually choose another world and have the guild move there. This can have an additional benefit in that a world with a lower population may allow the guild to add new members, where simply moving a single player to a full server (something we incidentally do not have the capacity to do) will only solve the problem in the short term and the minute the guild wants to add a new member, they’re in the same situation again.
Yeah i see your point but i have been with these guys for a while and im not sure they would be willing to move all 200+ members over to another world.
Its always full. I need to move there. Im just a commander trying to get back to his guild, can you help or no.
I think her answer is for you to either to wait for the server to become available to move your character over ( since they have no capacity to do so at the moment ) or your guild can move to a new homeworld so new members can join the guild without hiccup.
It’s just random number generator. You just happen to hit those when you don’t have the bow on. I have no MF on all my characters and I often get greens through out my questing.
Unless you have like 1000% MF, the changes you will see is really small.
I think magic find work as such :
Mob A has a 1% chance of dropping a rare item.
You have 100% magic find on your gear.
Your chance of getting a rare item on this mob is now 2% ( 100% increase from 1% )
You need to remove your email account. Also, I would highly suggest you change your login email when you are with support on your issue. You just posted your login email for all the hackers out there.
You have to send in a ticket for support to help you with that.
I am guessing he is using the same email.
When he buys the game and upgrade the account to Full account. It will act as a regular account.
what level is her character ? if its not too low, its not that bad to start over
They don’t have that ability at the moment and I am not sure they will even have character transfer in the future seeing they already ask people not to share account to begin with. It wasn’t in GW1 either.

I do believe this issue was debated on the forum and there was no clear answer. There are many ways to be offensive without swear words. It is really up to the person reading the chat and people can’t just turn off Map chat altogether. The best advice is still not to do it in open chat. If you do, knowing you might get banned again for the same reason.
exploits@arena.net is the email you use I believe.
If they are exploiting, you should report them.
The best way is try not to swear. You never know what’s offensive to others. There are a lot of things not filtered even with filter on. Since there is no clear black and white about to what degree is “allowed”, the best solution is not to do it.
Leira, I was confused about your situation. I seem to remember you got your key from some other vendor and it turned out the vendor was shady ? did you get money back from it ? Did ANet tell you if you can attach a new key to your old account ?
No, just because there is a profanity filter does not mean its allowed. Its in the rules of conduct. That would explain why you are banned for a week.

They are not going to skip everyone before you that is waiting for their turn. It was said again and again, they will only look at the ticket number if it’s more than 3 days old without any responses from support.
It seems like someone reported you for something in game and you are getting a roughly one week ban.
You can request support to change that account login to something different. If you really don’t care just create a new account to attach it to. After that, you should be able to use your main email.
I don’t think they delete accounts. You just have to sort it out with the support.
Contact the support and they will help you on that. I know people asked this question and that’s what they are told.
That is my guess from what you posted. If you are indeed hacked, chances are your account is used for bad purpose. They will investigate the account and return it back to you once all the issues are solved and questions cleared. The best advice I can give you is to be patience and use the time to catch up on some other stuff you have put off.
Good luck and hope you get the account back soon. Read the stickies about how to submit a ticket and give as much info as you can in the ticket. If the ticket runs over 3 days, make sure you post the ticket number in the thread for tickets over 3 days for review.
I am guessing it’s saying you send a ticket ( via legimate IP location which is where you usually login from ) and they are treating it as your account might have been compromised so they are doing more to investigate the account ?

They did not remove tech support number. They only have phone support for billing since Guild Wars.
In-game supports has always been done through support system.

Is it safe to play right now? I keep seeing lots of people saying they got banned for not “botting”. I know that when it comes to ANet, don’t mess around. But if we’re going to get banned for following the rules….. what? I really doubt this is a case of FUD. Why would all these different people unrelated to each other be posting the same problem all at about the same time?
I have been playing all weekend on many of my characters.

I would like to look into the few cases where you, personally purchased the game from buy.guildwars2.com and then experienced an account closure.
I don’t want to hear from those who bought from a third party who claims to have purchased from our site. I don’t need to hear from people who did a charge-back or asked for a refund. I would very much like to hear from someone who bought the game from buy.guildwars2.com using a legitimate credit card and then found his/her account terminated.
I’m just wondering if I buy GW2 key from third pathy it automatically means that it was purchased through stolen card?? despite the fact that you banned so many people who have bought key from buy.guildwars2.com and you will not even try to
investigate our cases???
I think Gaile is trying to find out what happens to those that bought from official site since that is where she can gather information on what the disconnect is between the official webstore and those who bought from it.
She has no access to infos about those un-authorized sellers. There is a reason they posted a list of “Authorized retailers”.
It’s the same with people who did a charge-back. When you initiate a charge-back, your money is returned to you. There is no reason to investigate on cases like this.
As for third party key sellers, the buyers have to deal with them directly, not ANet. ANet did no authorized them to sell those keys and they are not responsible for getting those people who got stolen keys.

You will have to ask for the refund from the site you got the key from in terms of money. After that, you can ask the support to attach a new key to the old account.
If your ticket is over 3 days old, post in the sticky thread for review. There is no GM/In-game support here. Just forum support and they are separated from the game support team
Use authenticator helps a lot with account security.
@Karil ANet use google authenticator for their authentication purpose. The one my friends use is https://github.com/mclamp/JAuth/downloads
@AvivKing At the moment, they have no tool to “rollback” accounts.
Can you see if there are other IP logins under your account ?

They have no tool currently to refund or restore items.
There is a java based google authenticator that you can install on your computer. You can easily google it up, many of my friends on GW2 use that because they don’t have the cell phone either. You can download the per-compiled one if you don’t trust compiled one.
Are you sure your account is not compromised ? I know they don’t even transfer accounts that were hacked back into the original server so I don’t think they will do it in your case.

Kumu is right. They have no tool to refund/restore items. They also said when the tool is ready, it is only for accounts that are hacked. It will not be restore but a rollback to the state that was before account is compromised.
They do, however, are going to add a confirm button in the near future.
Did you check your paypal account and see if the money is taken or not ?
I would say to get a new email account then send a support ticket to have your login email changed.

I think you can change authentication email once they verify your ownership. I don’t think they can change account name currently.
One way I know to switch that off is adding the authenticator to your account.

The only possibility I can think of is you got the key off 3rd party reseller.
If you got it through official site, you have to wait till support to tell you.
ladeeda, ask your friends to check the server on different hours. I am on one of the most jam packed US server and my friend was able to join me after checking server status for 3 days. Good luck.

Yes, in order to play with your friends right now, you will have to transfer off your server. They are going to have guesting in the future that will allow cross server questing but the system is not in game yet.
There is no fee associated with server transfer but you can only do it once every week.
You do get to choose which server you want to go, provided the server is not “Full”.
I think ( I am not 100% ) all your characters will be transferred to the new server. Sorry, I did the server transfer when I only had one character.
