I have never been fanboying so much when I read the latest news about your plans for 2013. I have been waiting for the dungeon balance, removal of MF gear, and the rest was also great news! I cant wait for the time when those things get implemented and if you get this right, I will never have a life!

The aura is likely a legendary aura. Sometimes while standing in town I will stack multiple legendary auras on myself; people are frequently asking what they are. XD

I cant edit my post for some reason, but i found out now that is the underwater legendary aura, but it shouldnt show on land, also i was the only one who could see it, hmm.

I have seen some weird stuff today, one time after having used a party box(or w.e its called) statue buff, and left it, the statue of myself was still standing there looking like i had a clone. Later today when I was chilling in LA i suddenly saw this guardian with snow effect all over her body, like the fotm back gives, but that should only give the effect around the head/neck, not all over the body like i saw. - Only CoF and maybe CoE is worth doing for money, they really need to give us a certain amount of gold at the end of a dungeon, depending on how long/difficult it is.

- They need to stop with all this RNG bullkitten, and increase drop rate for precursors so that players who farm alot dont feel bumed out over a guy who plays for 1 hours and get a precursor and earns more than you can in several weeks.

- We need more types of pvp matches, not only capture the objective, its getting pretty stale.

I got some more things but these are the 3 biggest things I really hate.

Next week i will be attempting the CoF p1 fast run with my new glass cannon build. This time however i will take 3 berserker necromancers 1 guardian and 1 mesmer… since this seems to be the “necromancer” equivalent to the best “warrior” setup at the moment, as in 3 warriors 1 guardian 1 mesmer.

Sorry, but how the hell is a guardian good in a cof group? 4 warriors 1 mesmer/3 warriors, 1 thief 1 mesmer is still the fastest setup.

I see, thanks. I really want to use the rifle though, the longbow clips through my charr when I use it, is it really that much of a difference between rifle and LB?

There may already be several threads about this already, but oh well… So I have heard from a good warrior that longbow is better than the rifle, but is the difference huge, or just small? I do like the 1200 range better than the 900 range longbow have, although I run the popular 20/25/0/10/15 build so i could change trait to 1200 range on longbow, but if those patch leaks are true, the longbow can only go up to 1000 range. So what do you think, rifle or longbow? Im talking about pve!

There was supposed to be a huge dungeon overhaul that began with AC. Hopefully CoF is next. That dungeon has been rampant with player abuse, exploits and elitist fragmentation since the game launched.

It took FoW and UW in GW five years to get to that point. And even then it wasn’t as difficult to find a non-speed clear, non-specialist group to complete those dungeons as it is for CoF after less than a year.

If it weren’t for the story mode side that people need to complete, I would be in favor of just locking the doors until a redesign is done.

Where exactly is these exploits? There is none so far that i have noticed, and i farm p1 alot.

Someone whispered me ingame of a potion thats called “Potion of ascaonian mages” and it works good, makes my human and allows me to use weapon skills!

Because I love the nr2 skill on sword in JP Is there no potion like that?

So after having rolled a charr warrior I find jumping puzzles ALOT harder… So I need help with finding a potion/tonic that makes me alot smaller, but still makes me able to use my weapon/utility skills. So far the best one I have found is the princess tonic, but I cant use skills in that form. I know of a item that makes you bigger but still makes you use weapon/utility skills.

I like the swiftness and protection I get out of acrana, but yeah I might change it up a bit.

I want atleast 35-40% crit so PVT is not an option, I also like toughness better than vitality in PvE :P

What are your opinions of this build? I might focus to much on critical damage, but since I got a high precision I thought I would get some critical damage aswell.

I hear that jaguar got auto-crit from stealth so I put him there which goes well with skirmishing I, but is this true? Also, I put the alpine wolf because I think an aoe chill goes well against thieves, only downside is that it got a low precision which makes Skirmishing I less effective.

I think I will keep my condition removal. And I had forgotten about the healing spring combo field, so I will change to that! The signet of renewal does seem nice, but I love 25% speed since I dont have any access to swiftness, and running will feel quite slow… The 25% speed buff does work in combat too right? If not then I could switch to renewal when I get into combat… 30% speed on pet does seem nice, I might consider it.

I checked out that other build and video (beastmaster) and it looked nice, but I dont really understand why have 20% less cd on SB, doesent seem worth it to me, 30% speed on pet does seem a bit better to me. 3 stacks of might for 3sec after they have been activated seems a bit weird too, since the cooldown is rather long. I might change my build a bit and change out the carrion with knight as the cond damage doesent really seem worth it. Also, I dont think I will get celestial trinkets, since I got 8 characters and my ranger isnt even my main character, so yeah :P

I didnt look to much at the food, so I just put something i thought was decent there :P I havent done much WvWvW, but I think that your enemy will not allow you to attack them from the flank, I might be wrong though. And If i use troll urgent, I only get regeneration from the minor trait, so I think I will skip that, might get it if i decide to use healing spring.

Thanks for the new build calc, very good to see condition damage. I noticed that if i remove carrion gear and replace it with something without condition damage, I only go down from 80 to 71 each bleeding stack… This seem very little to me but that could also be wrong, or am I? Maybe I should replace that with knight or berserker gear?

I would go human definitivly. I am just not a big fan of the asura ranger animation, I tried all races in the mists and find myself liking sylvari and human best in both animation and looks. Human male looks really good with the WvWvW armor.

I dont know… I dont think that many players are going to try to run away from me if im using my GS, if so i can easily catch up since i got the 25% signet and the charge skill.

Im posting this build because I would love some feedback to my future WvWvW ranger. I have never done a ranger build so go easy on me!

In this build I want to do primarly raw damage, but also some condition damage while being able to survive some hits. I have a high amount of precision and power, and condition as a secondary stat on all my armor pieces, although I dont know how much this will actually increase my condition damage. If it doesen’t help that much, I might consider berserker or knight armor, and switch to rune of the ranger. I might change Troll unguent to Healing spring, since Im kind of weak against condition damage, and not many means to remove them.

Since I have such a high critical chance, I chose to put Sigil of earth which im quite confident will work out nicely, but not so sure about the Sigil of air in my greatsword, would love to get some other suggestions on a sigil for this weapon.

Im still debating wether im going to have a norn female or a sylvari female, but here is a nice look that I will have if it will be a sylvari.

Thanks for all the responces! I think I will use the desiegificationist build you posted, but I dont like the VII in strength that much, pretty much all I want to do is survive and apply alot of CC. In thinking of using those points from “Distracting strikes” in Vigorous shots. Also I still find soldier rune better than Melandru.

I hate the way norn runs with the rifle, looks pretty lame to me, I would go human or sylvari, both animation and looks are good on those 2 races as rifle warrior! I would personally go for human.

I have never done any WvWvW on my warrior, but the hammer seems fun in there, with all the CC and survivability in zergs. Im thinking of going full sentinel armor, trinkets and weapons, but not quite sure if soldier or dolyak runes is the best for this build. Would love some feedback on this!

So, I have been running full soldier on my guardian for some time now, but I have read that vitality isnt that helpfull in PvE. Im running a “tanky” boon guardian and likes to draw aggro, and as Knight does have higher toughness than soldier, it might be better. What are your toughts? Should I use knight in PvE, and soldier in WvWvW?

Yeah yeah laugh at me all you want, but I’m looking for a dps build for my mesmer to do CoF farming. I’m hitting 80 in not to long, and can’t find a decent GS/Sword-Focus/pistol build. I was thinking of running full zerk but then I though of the cage part, I would probably get killed pretty fast, so how much ratio should I go on zerk/knight?

Many times when im using a makeover kit, I crash and get a “send ticket” option. Doesene matter where I use it. Sometimes i crash, sometimes i dont.

Im not going to change server, and I’m looking for an experienced and decently big PvE guild.

Im lookin for a big or decently big guild that focuses on PvE. I have a Berserk warrior and a soldier guardian that focuses on boons and surviveability. I am on the EU server Piken Square, and do alot of dungeons! I am friendly and experienced in most dungeons. I am also leveling other classes like mesmer which will be level 80 in the future.
