have this problem too, rerolled my graphics card and turned vsync on and off. Nothing worked so far. I dont have the problem with other games.

is it possible that gyve of madness is a discover-able item in one of the armor crafting professions? Gyve can mean shackle btw.
Really, I’m surprised more people haven’t investigated this. We have the ability to craft invisible bags in the same profession as makes shoes. Seems like a likely link.
I didn’t know at the time but apparently the gyve of madness item is currently unobtainable, its for a future patch or something.
Nightfury on the other hand is obtainable right now.
There’s a lot of dragons/wyverns in verdant brink as shown by wooden potatos.

I’ve seen people with it in LA and no they don’t have the similar GS equipped so the flying bats could only come from the shoulder piece.
They wont say how they got it though.

nope, its the shoulder piece with the bat aura.
the back piece is on gem store.
So here’s the known things so far.
4x tattered bat wings + 250 mystic coins + 20 bloodstone bricks + 120 powerful blood = bat wings
Gift of darkness + Vision Crystal + endless bat potion + ? = (a)?
bat wings + Glacial lodestone + (a)? + ? = Nightfury?

bumping this for visibility so that someone with a reddit account can suggest using Gift of Ascension, its usually required for ascended items crafted from the mystic forge.
I don’t have enough fractal relics right now so I cant really test it out.

Colin said during the after party that there will only be one specialization for each class from this expac .
A lot of people might feel that the expansion is coming out next month because of how the living story ended but I think it wont be here till a couple more months. The next update will probably be a valentine update then dragon bash, maybe super adventure box in between but that’s just wishful thinking on my part.
My guess on a date would be somewhere on august with a july sneak peek.

GW1 had it as one of the upcoming professions of their Utopia update but it was cancelled.

your 1 is kinda a paradox, your asking for content that is “lasting” but don’t want it to be a form of repetition. How can it be “lasting” if there is no “over and over again”?
There is an npc mesmer that uses a shield at Augur’s Grotto, her name is Alexandra Duet.
You can challenge her to a duel for a skill point.
The delayed time bomb aoe might be a specialization utility or ult and not related to shield skills.
If the mesmer they showed on the trailer is a specialized class then it might be a chronomancer based on the clock like aoe animation.

My inventory keeps resizing upon log in, It started happening during Dragons reach part 1 update. I Usually have my inventory to have 10 slots horizontally but it keeps reverting to a 9 slot instead after logging out. I kinda ignored it for a while but its getting annoying.
Do you think that Destiny’s Edge 2.0 need a Sylvari?
Because as the story progresses, we get to fight some interesting Sylvari along the way( Canach, Aerin and scarlet) and it is making them out to be the “enemy” of sorts.
What class will he/she play? warrior, ele and thief are all still available(I’m assuming Taimi is an engi).
I found a sort of fix for it, viewing the previous mail triggers the story, plus you can do the instances that pop up in map as violet stars for people redoing it for achievements, you just cant finish the story.
Anyone still having this issue i had it.. i just had to open the hero panel click on the fourth page in the hero panel (star). scroll down chose living story II and entanglement and click start story… Some ppl said to me i had to do this i miss understood them and went to achievements page and click on story jurnal there and i got nothing. SO check again
that’s a different. We already done the story and redoing it but we can’t redo unless we get the mail, switching stories from episode 1 to 2 again doesn’t fix it.
Any balance done to classes is moot in pve due to how defiance works and how a lot of mobs are more susceptible to power based damage.
This post is on the second page now, and people still bring up female character armors when op stated otherwise.
It’s like they didn’t read his post.
medium armor for guys is either a trench coat or a man skirt. Please add more sexy diversity.

here’s my suggestion.
number 4 is pretty good and mind stab should keep the standing still animation as is, but also add a stun mechanic to the target hit to keep them in place for the pulse damage.
The initial hit from mind stab should remove 1 boon but if the target hit still has boon/s they get stunned for a short duration so that they don’t just walk away too easily from the pulse damage.
Of course they can still use stun breakers.
Edit: said #4 but it changed to 1.
Edit2: forgot to mention that with it having a stun mechanic, targets should be reduced to 3 as well as keep the radius as is.

just wanted to chime in.
GS skill 3 used to have a daze, it was also “locked-on” instead of ground targeted. I think It was changed because mesmers could lock players out from using abilities for a long duration if you go full on domination with the stun on daze trait and the other interrupt traits. But they didn’t rearrange the traits though even though they changed the skill behavior so here we are.

I think that the kodan hammer isn’t equal to the scorpion or the wisp thing. lets specify what all sides get.
red
has the altar = become wisp, immune to damage and conditions. has knockback active.
has the grawl turrets/canons = can hit the towers if you know how to aim.
has the sentry turrets/ward = reveals nearby enemies on map. costs 25 badges.
blue
has wurm hole = instant travel between the islands that have keeps.
has the siege devourer = basically a mobile ram/cata with spamable attacks.
has an airport = can call out air support with an item. costs 25 badges.
green
has koda guy = an npc summon that patrols the area.
has the bells = summons a ghost bear, no idea what it does really.
has the hammer = kodan form. costs 25 badges.
If they release new legendary weapons or armor or trinkets, I just hope the precursors don’t drop in the mystic forge.
Just adding to the discussion, I’ve already finished the marionette achievements except for the “dodge” ones and have most of the wurm ones, just need slayer.
The long wait times is brought about by trying to secure a spot at a server , either home or guesting, that has the numbers or coordination to complete the event.
The events require a large amount of player, 125 for the marionette, to finish the content but can easily fail if 1 or 2 players don’t know what to do or intentionally fail the event.
Population of servers. If developers insist on this type of events with large numbers of players then realize that not all servers are the same as blackgate.
Within a week most of the player base would stop doing the temporary content, I don’t do the marionette anymore. There were pictures posted on reddit about the “empty” lanes and what not.
Temporary content, Tequatl and the wurm are not affected by this as they’re permanent. The marionette is temporary so a lot more people are frustrated that they cant finish it at least once. I’ve seen a lot of new and old players leave the game because they were lured by promises of great updates only to be told they were temporary and wont come back.
The marionette is fun content but I honestly don’t want to redo it.
unless its a champ train or for an event like scarlet, no one really goes to low level areas and the mid level areas as well.
the random portal is a problem though. One pad would often end up with just one player or none at all.

Zerker gear gives power, perc and crit damage, the high power and crit chance/damage make it the viable option for dps. The downside of it should be the lack of survivability but that’s not the case. There are alternatives to zerker anyway like assassins only with less power.

If you are going to move away from mobs with telegraphed massive spike damage attacks, move away from action/dodge combat and move towards a trinity system with dedicated healers et al. Then nerfing dps gear makes sense but becomes redundant anyway.

As for “go assassins”, and? Kill stuff a bit slower? Awesome, that’s a step forward right there. That is, until people wearing PVT start moaning that those in assassins are clearing dungeons faster than them and we get another cry for nerfs.

Like what was said before, If you played during the time where there was magic find gear you would know that they did let those people change the stats of those gear to any stat available via crafting.
and they didn’t say they were nerfing zerker gear yet. they were just addressing it’s dominance in dungeons vs condition builds.
If they do nerf it then they will probably let people change the stats like they did before.
since its just the back that we can see, it’s hard to tell but there aren’t that many winged helms in the game, only one if your character is not human(CM heavy armor). The shoulders and gloves by the looks of it are T2 human cultural.
Still it might be a mix and match armor like other npc’s do.
