I play a guardian and basically if i don’t go for a full bunker build thieves will take off 10K hp instantly stealth, regen, do it again and kill me. The problem isn’t the gear it’s the people working on class balance. They flat out suck at it. There are a few classes that do just way to much DPS and and have way to many ways to escape or defend themselves and a few that do next to no damage unless they give up all defense and go total glass cannon. The class balance in this game is horrifically bad and if you listen to the state of the game video and Jon Sharp and Jon Peters it’s no surprise.

You need to improve your gameplay. I dont get killed by Zerkerthiefs and also play a Guardian.
Also thief surely is not overpovered, its lame, and easy to predict. It is just that a thief adding to a fight or a kite can end it instantly. This is not overpowered. For themselves thiefs are dead meat to anybody who has his toon under control.

Oh god another one of these improve your game play posts. How can i improve my game play when a thieves first attack’s from stealth hit me 5 times in less then a second for 1500 each hit ? Come on, what am i going to do , swing my hammer at him and pray i get a lucky crit that will hit for 2K ? That will do so much good when a second later the thief unstealths again and does the same thing to my remaining 2K or so HP.

I’m so sick of thieves and people defending their over powered classes with that lame kitten argument. The class balance in this game is horrific and it’s as simple as that.

Use your shouts, blinds and dodges wisely. Also shield 5.

My guildleader Lonny told me that. He made me walk Wv3 naked for two hours as punishment for my PvE-affinity. He says me doing PvE is bad for our big community. He is our big boss and guildleader and no other guild would take mentally challenged people like me, so I have to do what he says.

Sometimes in Wv3 I see ghosts. Ppl spawn, despawn and respawn in seconds, multiplying themselves from 5 to 50 and bursting you from hell. Omg I feel it again, its the swag, the SWAAAAG!!!

I can’t find a source but they only intended about 5% of players to ever get a legendary, its not supposed to be easy, it’s supposed to be a massive achievement (of course they screwed that when they made them sellable)

Well, going to finish my second this month and the third in 3 months. I work, have RL and play 3 hours a day, mostly WvW. First Twilight, second Bolt. So not the cheap ones.
If they wanted only 5% of players to achieve them, something went terribly wrong.

Edit: we like to call damage from downed players: damage from hell. Sound funnier in german though and you have to say it with repulsion :-D.

I’d call it the biggest issue for smaller groups against bigger groups. They ress faster then you down people.

A shout/hammerwarrior with traited horn and sword that is carried by two guardians and has a shatterdeathzone around him can survive pretty much and has high mobility.

Id rather not add more players to our player pool.
Usually we are five. eight is just the number of active guildmembers.

See, we need to burst the first 5-7 ppl fast, and then keep constant pressure in the center so our squishies can act freely. This part is for the two guardians.
Basically the guardian heal eachother at the spot where we want the zergs attention. While the rest becomes support when he needs it.
Eles cannot contribute this.

DD-Ele is nice in addition. But attacking groups that outnumber you heavyly id exchange one for guardian anytime. Besides Churning earth and Burning Speed, they barely can contribute to the opening burstspike if they want to take a supporter role. If they want to dps, they are just too squishy.

The three people that have a thief in our guild are Lonny, me and our Warrior.
Lonny is higly needed on his Mesmer for surprise, burst and retreating mass invis, our warrior would be more usefull on his Mesmer for the same reasons when we are not playing a meleesetup. If so well then: Shout/CC-Warrior >>>>>> Thief.
i myself play Sankja, my Guardian. Im not as good as they are but wee need my heals and my boons.

No room for a thief just for the purpose of scouting, buddy.

Try using a scout, you guys have a few thieves right? Just leave them nearby from wherever you expect an attack to come from. It helps a lot
We seem to be opposites myrmi we’ve always been weak on weekends and you seem to suffer similarly during the week.

We dont have a few anything. We are 7 -8 ppl in the guild and when we roam we need people on useful toons.

ANet saves money as they dont use high quality servers nor proper digit rate.

I have never ever experienced this in other games with even more crowded fights.

Today we got the worst culling issues in weeks. It is so saddening and gamebreaking, that i even logged in warhammer without any goal.
I hope this gets fixed soon. I dont even count the times we ran into 20 or 30 ppl thinking its maybe 5-10…

We were only 5 and we ran individualy to get supplies from the camp because we were sieging up a tower. We get killed quiet often by bigger groups don’t you worry. I hope not everyone will post it on the forums or it will get embarrasing.

As you see by the distance between the two paragraphs, I was talking about two unrelated topics, therefor not about yesterday. At the weekend we melted 10+ parties of that guilds and Dius got so mad that they began chasing us even into the legendary guards at our spawn and started /laugh spamming at 5 ppl avoiding 20+ ;-).

All they write in the forum though, is how the rocked WubWubWub barely without casualties.

Thats my point. We (5ppl) have been facemelting guildgroups with way larger numbers for hours on the borderlands, Dius, WvW, OS, SNOW, TDL and many more and all Gandara writes about is how the cowards from RS hide in keeps and avoid the fight. On the other hand Gandara starts to team up to 20+ or even 30+ zergz to chase and hunt down a 5 man team that is providing small scale pvp. So they are actually negating themselves what they asked for: nice action.

I hope you got my point now. Just to be sure about it: no I am not saying how awfully good we are and how bad others. Neither that Gandara has no good teams or are zerglings. My point is that there are always two sides on a coin and ppl always talk about/consider the side with the shinier surface for them.

Just dont forget we are talking about pixels here.

I dont have a screenshot, but it was basically 3x /wave, 2x /dance and 30-40x /laugh ;-).

I wont get my eternity because my twilight is bugged after transmuting bugfix failure by ANet. Otherwise I could finish it this week. So that goal is not so ultra high.
I work and have RL btw, before sb thinks about talking about that.
Going to make bolt instead now, until my twilight gets a bugfix.

Back then I had a computer from 2003 and did not have any issues with lag.

I got three drops from WvW and Orr: Focus, Scepter and Dagger.
And two from MF: Dusk, Dusk.

This was used in Warhammer and chat sure doesnt cause any lag.

It would affect the whole TP. Basically if you put in a stac k of ori on a sunday evening for 3.18 silver and you get undercut by 1 copper with 5k ori-ores, you wont sell and as prices drop during the week, you will lose the fees.
Apply this for every mat, every exotic that isnt sold very fast every expensive colour and so on.

In my opinion they should make legendaries 5k gold or more to discourage ppl to get them. Just look at your petition/question. The 0.0001% of the playerbase that is generating 50 threads a day about precursors is egocentric enough to ask for the silliest things just because their greed for a legendary blindfolds them.
Dont take it bad, I am not referring specificly to you, but all this threads about precursors are sickening.

I saw 3 precursors drop to mates this WE. Working as intended, no changes needed.

As we play quite competitive PvP, the tone in TS can get a little rough. Am I wrong if I think, that the most girls play in a more “lets do stuff together and have fun. oh lawlz a wipe, that was funny ^.^” way than in a “ kitten we got beaten by that team, lets flame eachother and afterwards check the things that did not work out 100%”?

I like playing with girls in my 3 hours of PvE a week, but (please dont take this bad, its due to my very own expirience) Id not want to rely on a girl in my WubWubWub team, as I see them as less competitive than men. For sure not less skilled though. Must be the testosterone

Anybody who has crafted one or several legendaries will confirm, that it is pretty annoying to doubleclick those icies 100 times. Please implement a “mass refine” function or sth like that.
