Nah, buy orders are just clever ppl who know that ppl who get the drop and dont want it, want money immidiately. If u look at the sword or dagger the prices are not far away from eachother.
The actual worth is the highes amount of gold anyone is willing to pay. If I am willing to pay 120.000g, the worth of that Item is 120.000g and you cannot do anytrhing about it.

And what would be considered skill?
Dungeons? Fractals and Arah are ridiculously easy and still many groups cannot clear them on high level.
I myself am a PvP/Wv3 player 70% of the time. The rest I do dailies, help friends get certain gear in dungeons and overall explore Tyria again and again, especially JP.

I dont want to be forced into PvE to get it.

As it is accesible to buy one or get one from MF, the droprate is totally fine.
Last week I saw drop 5 precursors in fractal dailys at the maw fractal in low levels (10-20).
Just stop farming dragons and temples for it and do something fun. Dont force it! your game experience will not improve because of it. Ppl are obsessed with precursors. just let it happen. Eventually it will all be there in your bank and inventory.

I got two in orr in the same week. Focus and scepter and they sold for around 120g together.
I got dagger and zap in Wv3. Zap used for bolt and dagger was sold for 300g.
I got dusk twice from MF. Why twice? Bc I dumped the first one into the MF accidentally as I wanted to keep trying with the rest of my exotics after I got it.

All the money I made selling the other three went into 4 T3 armors and several black and white dyes as for 50 transmutation stones for 1600 gems. So I had no advantage for my legendaries out of them.

I started for Bolt with 0 (zero) of everything and it took me around 4-5 weeks. Without the precursor drop just add another 3-4 weeks. So getting a legendary in 2-3 months is not okay?

In my eyes people just want a ridiculously easy achievment to be a faceroll. Getting all the legendaries can be achieved in less than a year if you really fokus on it. If you spend 30% of your ingame time like I do working towards it, it can be done in less than two years.

B4 you start. Yes, I do have job, friends and real life.

I highly recommend the searching funkion. Its in the top right corner of this page.
You need to be in the forum directory you want to search in. E.g. “transmute legendary” will give you some results in the bug reporting directory.

Your weapon will lose the status legendary and gain the status transmuted. If you want, you can add me and I link you myy crippled Twilight of Accuracy later on when I get home from work.

ANet stated they solved the bug and with this statement have driven dozens of people to lose their opportunity to craft Eternity or get the stats levelled up to ascended.

I got six precursors so far and will start working towards my my third legendary weapon. Twilight and Bolt for now. I really dont get the problem.

If you do things right, you dont even have to farm, but play the game, while the TP works for you. With a minimal daily effort you can get 20-30g a day from TP and add your ingame drops ontop of that. Whoever goes to orr to farm hours of DE for money has to rethink this boring method of waisting time. If you go there once in a while to farm T6 mats its fully enough.

@duskprice: if there werent people willing and/or able to pay 700g for a precursor, the price would skyrocket into the ground.

Things working fine, ANet. Please dont change anything.

As for casual gamers with 5-10 hours online each week: well, you are not missing anything by not having that weapon. A hobby physicist wont get published in Nature neither.

Well, I guess without my luck I would be up to 2-3 months for an legendary, what I still consider very fast. Never forget that most of the players that complain about loot are pve players that also played Aion, Diablo III and overall WoW, where you get all the new goodies after an expansion after three weeks. At least from what I know from Youtube footage. To be fair I never played any of them. Just Warhammer.

And: I did not say I have that loot every day. Just often. Also I found something that provides good money with few effort in the TP. Good money for me is 20-30g a day. Others might make 10 times this amount.

Spending 20-30 minutes on the TP a day can bring you 20-30g minimum. At least, that is the outcome I get.
Daily fractals at level 20+ give nice loot too. And why dont you get into account the amount of lodestones and t6 mats + ectos + coins etc you get over the four weeks?

I suggest you stop acting like a mad child accusing me to do unlegit things, just to cover the fact that maybe I am just doing a few things a little better than you.
Given my job, managing the project “legendary weapon” in a minimal amount of time is just natural.

But to be honest, I am really lucky too. It is true, that I got 6 precursors over the last 6 months. And if you ask my friends IG, they will gladly confirm, that I get an insane amount of good loot every day, too. 5-6 rares in fractals, often 1-2 exotics in fractals, 2-3 core and sometimes a lodestone in fractals.

Just please be polite and stop this BS-calling of things you just did not figure out how to achieve (yet) :-).

No exploit or RMT involved. After some thinking you figure out how to get your money each day. Say I get 20-40g a day with an average of 30g. That is roughly 900g in four weeks.
If I get a BLTC-Salvage-Kit for daily, that is 50g in goods for me. I got two the last few weeks.

Edit: I dropped Zap in Wv3 yesterday, otherwie it would have been another 3 weeks. I still think 4-8 weeks for a legendary is way too little time.

I started for my second legendary three weeks ago with zero of anything. Gold, T6 mats, ectos, skillpoints, etc, after burning everything to equip many toons with t3 Armour and very expensive colours.
I mostly do fractal daily and then only do Wv3. Period. I work 40-60 hours a week and have IRL-friends.

I will finish it this week. It is bolt, so one of the most expensive ones. Deal with it.

Manage your time ingame.
And yes, I think a legendary is not supposed to be owned by casual players who logs in for some DE, JP, and Dungeons.

After my twilight i am aiming for bolt too. It would have been 3-4 weeks to complete it, as I was missing Zap, 70 lodestones, 50-100 of all t6 mats and the icies.

Here is my /me story :-) :
Suddenly, after Wv3ing for some hours I go vendor the trash to get space in my bags and on top of all the sellable items I see those three orange letters: Zap!
I did not even notice, as we roam smallscale and kite the zerg, being focussed on positions all the time.
YAY! :-) Going to finish it this week now :-).

I see this happen every weekend. In the maw at high levels, all the mobs have a high chance if dropping exotics…

I understand it better than you think. I just dont see why ANet should do anything about it. They are rare, they should be rare and I am a RNG loved lucky backyard.

Srsly ppl. I was 3 weks away from having the money for zap. You dont imagine my face when i found it in my bag while vendoring blues and greens after 4 hours of Wv3. I wish this experience for everyone. Just be patient and let it happen.

Got my sixth precursor this weekend and saw some of them dropping to other people. I think this is working just fine.
Also maybe most people should stop waiting all day for the dragon events.
I got two from MF, two from fooling aroundin Orr and two by melting faces in Wv3.

-Energizer and Dawn to partymembers in the Maw-Fractal.
-Zap to myself in Wv3 from a player, just 9 hours ago.

This is the sixt precursor I get. Twice Dusk from MF, Scepter and Focus in Orr doing Plinx from random mobs, dagger and Zap in Wv3, killing other players.

I dont understand the issue.

Hey mate, yes we tried to do our best :-D. Wednesday is our worst day, so we roamed with 3 ppl from REQ and 3 ppl from AMOK. Not enough to be a lifethreatening source of fear but well, its enough to keep ppl awake ;-).

I’m here to inform you that TDA is organizing small scale GvG on friday before resset , probably gonna start around 20:00 gmt+1 .

Why small scale you wonder? I’m inviting all three servers and trying to contact some of the people that are interested, its also to awoid the ques so thats why i’m planing to have it at least max 10v10 , 5v5 , 3v3 2v2 , 1v1.

All servers are invited and all guilds that want to participate, will try to squize in as much people as we can and even might do it on two borderlands.

As i get infor form the interested guilds ill post a ts info on wich ill need to have 1 representative from each guild for easier comunication.

So if you’re interested and want some small scale gvg fights contact me here on forums or add me and pm ingame for more info, also ill update the thread as i get more info.

Just remember guys win or losse its all about fun !

PS- REQ can you please make a similiar version of this on RS forums , id do it but my german aint that good.

@Lonny It was just 5 of TDA there , on your first encounters , then we got some more people and a lvl 5 mesmer (we dont require ppl to play certain class/build just bring what you like)
Later on we had 8 people as we tried to play some with Kiss then for about 10 mins it was 10 people , i liked the 3 way on ruins with you and kiss
Such a shame you relly on heavy stealth wich causes some of culiing to triger as well.

I dont want to start a discussion on this, but I counted otherwise :-D (kidding, see posts above). But if it is of any interest, we were 4 in the first two fights and 5 afterwards. I am really looking forward for more.

We use mass-invis as we tend to spread a bit when under pressure. But we run only 4-6ppl, max 8. So I dont see much cullingissues with us.

BTW: a party is 5 ppl.

I also levelled 3 Rangers to level 20-ish and deleted them :-D. After finishing Bolt for the Guard, Ranger will be my new Baby and you cannot do anything about it! :-D

I was in Warhammer few days ago. Its a mess. Everybody walking with fancy eventbuffs and also duelling with them. You can get to 150% RR buff just from events and items, so powerlevelling to rr100 is 1 day of grindnig now :-D.
Imagine little Zumy trying to dodge the zerg GW2 style. It was hilarious :-D.
I bet ppl were thinking I sold the account or something. So much failure.

They retain the legendary status. There is just a bug where you link it in chat and it comes up as exotic but in the Hero panel, it is in fact legendary still. I am avoiding transmuting both Twilight an Sunrise at this point in case it does affect the ability to create Eternity later on…. whenever they decide to make it better that is.

They don’t keep it. I am not able to craft eternity anymore because of transmuting after ANet assured they fixed it.

Had some fun fights vs TTA or TDA (can’t remember the exact Guild-Tag. The Guild with the yellow armors). One of your Guards gave us a really hard time
Recently we are altering our Setup quite a bit. Dunno if it works out.

TDA it was. Yeah, that Norn-Hammerguard was everywhere :-D.

Pity they had to get more numbers because KISS started zerging ruins. They were really good to fight with. Looking forward for more of it.
