Yeah im sorry but I am not going to start dishing out my phone numbers to game companies, I don’t care how secure they say they are or what they say they will use them for I just don’t trust anyone anymore when it comes to personal information and the internet, which is why I give minimal information and use only paypal, definatly no phone numbers.

its offpeak time right now for our servers in wvw and was lagging, others were lagging, played for about an hour and got disconnected, I didn’t bother logging back in I am just sick and tired of it. Cursed shore has been a lagfest of late as well. Im now of the opinion that either a. Anet doesn’t care enough about the issue or doesn’t want to spend the resources on it or b. they don’t know how to fix the issue so keep trying to sweep it under the carpet hoping it will go away or people will forgive the issue.

Sorry to hear about your loss its just a horrible sad thing to hear happen to one of our gaming brethren and even more so for those directly effected, I think this would be a wonderful idea as well, its not to much work Anet, people would be very appreciative if you made the gesture of making a guildhall addon for this kind of purpose.

just had 2 massive lag spikes and 5 disconnects from server in wvw in the past hour, finally gave up and logged out, almost as annoying as the skill lag.

I totally disagree with having to pay for past content what ever happened to no pay to play?, I think this definatly crosses the line, I spend enough real money on buying fashion and what not out of the store, with the fee of now having to replay old content to see the story this is no longer purely a buy to play, just drop the hammer and give us a sub option with extra perks and bling, bring out the skritt in those of us willing to fork over extra shinies.

If the GW2.DAT file is sitting on a bad sector of your HD (it’s 21GB, so not impossible), you can have this issue.

Note that repairing the client does NOT download the entire file….just what the server finds is corrupted. You can manually run a reapir (but you might want to do a disk scan first).

Per above, this is NOT a generic issue as THOUSANDS would be reporting this if it was.

I have seen other threads with this issue, I had checked my disk but I will do so again and yes it at first did a quick download then I went to run the client and it crashed out then when I tried again it started downloading the entire client, I will check the disc again just in case.

Did a drive check everything is 100% fine throws arms up in air never the less I salvaged an older version of the .dat file and did a .dat implant on my mortally wounded client, after a short update it is now working fine again, I also copied the new .dat file incase this happens again

I logged onto gw2 the other night and it was fine, now I log in today and am greeted with an archive repair yet again!, this started happening not long ago as well but seemed to resolve itself, so it does the repair then I get a error and it crashes and now im stuck with it wanting to download then entire client again?, seriously what the hell is going on with this client, all my other games are fine, im on a monthly data cap with my isp, not all of us have unlimited broadband, I cant be redownloading clients all the time cause they decide to bug the kitten out…. needless to say, I wont be redownloading it.

Such Necro hate. Uh but lets get 1 thing clear Necro’s are kings of damage in WvW. Glass necro’s are the cannon’s of the Pirate ship meta.

Anyone seen a necro minion zerg in wvw?, aurora glade server started this a long time ago we zerged with minion necros and melted anything including gates without siege, other zergs, anything. Tank necrosa with pets out and marks is totally insane, also as Ballads has mentioned if you glass up on necro you can do stupid damage, if you do a raid build with wells you can do stupid amounts of damage/cc.

Necros are a class that people might snear at but i’ll tell you, for those of us in the know, we just giggle back

Player skill and having a build that suits your playstyle are massive deciding factors in this game. A lot of people claim that necros are bad and eles are good. And while for the majority of players that might be true, that is not necessarily true for everyone.

People find Mesmers bad in PvP, but I have seen some very skilled mesmers out there. It is all down to your skill and playstyle, and whether you have found a build for your chosen profession that suits you perfectly. If you haven’t, then you will find that profession weak.

The question you should be asking is: Which profession is most desired, by the majority of players, and which is least desired? If you want to know which is strongest and which is weakest, only you can find that out. All we can do is offer advise, based on what you enjoy and what your capabilities are, in order to find a profession and build that might suit you.

Exactly the point though. People use what is good for a specific thing and then force it into something else. Many are not skilled and/or not knowledgeable about what frankly is a tiny aspect of the game. To expect otherwise is not useful.

You don’t understand that by joining a zerker group with your “tank” necro or whatever you’re killing them. They died because you can’t pull your weight. How many times does this have to be stated? Zerker set up in prolongued fights = dead. Not for all encounters, but for a lot of them that is true. Nobody is forcing you to join zerker groups. Make a new group, tank necro only, and have fun.

lol at zerkers who blame others for their squish, no no, the amount of times ive had to carry the weight of squishies who one hit die is uncountable, im pulling my weight.

I for one am glad that the WvW requirement is going away. I do not have world completion on any character due to the WvW req – I do not like PvP in any game I play (and yes, I have tried both PvP and WvW in GW2). And I’ve had a string of bad luck where my server keeps getting the same color’s all the time.

I also have issue’s with hand-to-eye co-ordination & reflex’s, which makes things like dodging & such somewhat troublesome… so fighting other players can be quite difficult for me. I have tried joining zerg’s when I have tried, but still was not fun, enjoyable or went well. Also getting PM’ed abuse cause I suck didn’t help matters either.

I would hope that they make the World Completion an either/or situation – where you can get the World Complete & prize by either getting world complete in WvW zones or in PvE.

This way someone who just want’s to WvW but also wants a Legendary weapon can still do so without having to map the whole PvE world (the only exception would be needing to get the waypoints near the dungeon’s, so as to do the dungeons for tokens to buy the relevant gift), while also enabling PvE’ers who don’t want to face PvP the ability to do the same and ignore WvW entirely.

Sorry to hear you’ve had bad experiences with other people in wvw, yes it can be very fast paced and difficult to keep up even in a zerg, however other jobs are also very important like scouting or defending, keeping siege engines active so they don’t despawn, hells you could even get on a cannon or an arrow cart for a laugh

I don’t know why people think necros are crap, necro is my main and i’ll tell you now, I can pump out enough damage if I need to, I can survive if I need to, I can cc if I need to.

It seems to me that there are many people who have done a bit of a walkthrough on necro and decided they don’t like it and havnt experienced how to play it properly or have been involved with necros who don’t know what they are doing for the situation they are in.

as a semi raid build/tank necro I sometimes like to tease thieves, hard to kill the little blighters but i’ll be buggered if they gonna kill me either

That post I made sounded abit grumpier than I intended, 6am and no coffee in me at the time but yes ide just sorted everything out and thought my clients were running smooth then bam another thing I have to redo, none the less as they say “stuff happens”, and indeed once my caffeine deprived mind woke up I realised I was networked to the other pc hehe so im getting the .dat file from that to see if it works

Recently I got a new pc so I had to redownload gw2, ever since I have done so, which is something over a week ago ive had the client wanting to check the game files because it says they are corrupted, what the hell is with your downloads? not all of us are running on isp’s that have unlimited bandwidth because now its making me redownload the whole god kitten client again!. what the hell…

Is anyone else still getting server lag, I thought this issue was somewhat solved, yet for the past hour or so ive had upto 2 minute skill lag and disconnects, everything else on my net works fine, its the old gw2 server lag thing cropping up again by the looks… very very annoying!.

Its probably put there to troll charrs, everyone knows curiosity killed the cat…

I submitted ticket that involved gem purchase and have resolved the issue myself, is there anyway to cancel the ticket so I don’t waste Anets time?

yep last 3 or so days for me now ive noticed the lag and its getting worse, ive finally had to just stop playing, I guess i’ll have to go find something else to play, cheers Anet..

Will rewrite my post, was abit harsh about the skill lag and dc’s people are getting alote in wvw last few days or so but it seems Anet may be working on something in the background which would explain it, as annoying and inconvenient as it may be its nice to know they work hard at what they do, however ide still like to see the getting stuck on siege when building and getting stuck in gates when restoring glitches fixed

How someone could possibly blame those poor innocent omegas, and how could you hate fluffy, that’s like hating cookies or kittens, it’s just not done!.

aaaaand its about a day later now around the same time when it starts to get busy and the lag begins again, rubberbanding, skill lag, even got disconnected afew times and again everything else on my net is perfectly fine… sigh…

Im still lagging and getting disconnects 8 hours later. I am now playing another mmo that I play which is completely lag free and disconnect free, just like everything else on my pc and net, I wonder if its my isp mmmm… no..

And once again unplayable skill lag and disconnects, funny how my internet works everywhere else and I can play anything else with no lag what so ever… Its been a year now and they cant figure out whats going on still?… seriously?… sick and tired of this crap

First Ranger, which I stopped playing, now necro is getting picked on, how far is this going to go, I honestly don’t think I could be bothered training up on another class to the point i got to on ranger or necro, ds was viable the way it was because we have low in combat mobility, not that this is a complete class breaker but where will they stop now that their attention is on us. Being able to jump of cliffs was a great escape, other classes have means of escape why shouldn’t we and in wvw it was one of the funniest things to troll enemies off over with you, now you take away just alittle bit more of that fun out of the game, thanks guys.

That had to be one of the hardest weeks in wvw ive experienced so far, poor ole AG was run off its little feet day and night trying to keep up, I think I burnt out twice. It was none the less a very enjoyable experience overall even if this anxiety complex I seem to now have when someone shouts"the germans are coming" does turn out to become permanent.

Just got hammered by huge miller server blobs, not only do we have them again this round but we also just got another german blob server as well, this is a joke yeah?

I don’t like jumping puzzles I stear clear of them for a very good reason, I am just not good at it, never have been and never will be in any game, ive had to rely on the kindness of mesmers from time to time for my coordination isn’t the best for this content(and if I had of known there was going to be so much jp content in gw2 ide of perhaps thought twice about getting it), now I waypoint over to this new content looking for a nice relaxing time and to enjoy some new scenery and what do I get slapped in the face with… What makes this even worse is im a max size norn which are renown for having a hard time with jp content.. Can you please, please for the love of all the gods just make some content that doesn’t involve jumping around like an absolute fool all the time.

More than one person ive talked to have said this round has started off to being the most fun they’ve had in wvw in awhile both small scale fights and large, on the borders and in eb, also been a real hoot seeing the fury tags in red and clashing with them, I know you guys are having fun, we had some of you guys focus on us the other day which made a certain charr giggle whome I was following at the time with my[GLAD] tag on and ide like to say one sorry to the ahh one fury member I jumped on, wasn’t really out of any spite was just carried away in the moment, thanks for the fun round so far Dzag and GH

You dare to presume that you are holding together the entire server?, we are not just a pve server, and one of the questions you ask of the other servers is “their” maturity level?, really?, good lord the arrogance is unbelievable, we still have a strong wvw force and many new people in training who have gained an interest, those who know this im sure will not be whisked away from their home by your guild tag, Aurora Glade forever!
