I find it annoying that the option for auto aoe targetting (ie. casting where your mouse pointer is) doesnt work properly when in freelook mode (i.e. pushing right mouse button).

I would very much appreciate it if aoe spell is cast in freelook mode with auto aoe casting that it would assume the mouse is in the middle of the screen and not wherever it was when I enabled freelook mode.

Wont go into how I do it, the TP is a fickle place and things that work one second would be destroyed the second its widespread knowledge.

To start with I want you to know I do sell precursors (atleast trying to be, im up to over 10 sold now so Im just beginning).

I see a lot of complaints about the price of the precursor but I just wanted to let you know that I myself have gone away from listing the PC I have for sale and going straight to the buy listing instead.

With the undercutting, slow market movement and listing fee the turnaround of PC on the sell list is just to slow and too risky.

Not sure anyone cares but due to the recent threads I just though I should throw this out these since I most likely isnt the only one doing it this way.

Supply and demand as stated but there is also the issue of the listing price.

• No one is going to delist their precursor for reposting since they will just loose money doing so. They’ll be forced cross their fingers and hope the lower listing will sell quickly.
• No one is going to delist their precursor to repost at a lower limit due to “no takers” since that will just mean they’ll loose money. They will keep it listed and hope the purchase power in the community increases.
• Anyone getting a precursor will just think “Yes!” and post it on TP at a 1c lower price for the maximum profit and then get stuck as per 1/2.
• No one with an existing precursor listed will sell another identical item for lower price (competing with himself).
• No one with an existing precursor listed will sell another identical item for buy price (competing with himself x 2 since he eliminates one purchaser from the original and also risks the item to be flipped)

All of these factors will trigger a very slow change in the precursor market as the item drops.

The funny thing is that precursors are so easy to generate without that big of a loss if you know how. I have made and sold a number of them and have a Colossus, Legend, Fortfang, Energizer, Carcharias, Bard up at this time (without flipping) and each cost me less than 50g to make.

However its not that much profit in the market since they move so slow (these have been up for over two weeks now).

lol that was interesting, so you are basically saying that if you sell it for less than the buy option then you’ll pay the listing fee based on what you entered and not what it sold for.

Dunno probably something that should be reported, hard to exploit tho since it has to be buy orders. Since most non farmed mats are not going as buy orders I dont see a big “exploitable” issue here. Bit that said yes, its not intended to work like that so it is an exploit.

Yes but what I wanted to point out was that gw2spidy doesn’t use character specific information which might be why its “ok” for now, and as such they wouldn’t necessarily need the in game key. Since the gw2spidy code is online it should be quite easy to verify exactly how they are accessing the service…

True (iv) would probably cover it, however (ii) is not since its the same session key that’s used for accessing your account when logging into the web portal.

Sell/buy lists and actually submitting buy orders require you to identify a character and that itself might be more “wrong” than the TOS grey area allows but with regards to gw2spidy their service doesn’t make use of said functionality.

Doesnt necessarily mean that its a bot, there are tools available that provides information about the TP outside the game, if there is a group of gold farmers out there that uses such a tool to coordinate their bidding then it might look like a bot to you.

Also, ejust because you are flipping these items doesnt mean that they arent using these for something else and that their profit cutoff is lower than the flip value.

Dunno if loot changes will change much, if the drop rate is high then equivalent item on tp will sell for less than the crafted version. Also I think you underestimate the number of items going into the toilet for the chance of an exotic to sell which also will lower the price of said item.

Only way to improve crafting profit is to make the craftable gear not available in toilet or in drop scenarios.

No this isn’t possible, you can only access Trading Post information and not character info unless you data mine the application itself which is most likely against the TOS. I should also point out that selling things using methods such as you describe is not possible.

And btw gw2spidy doesnt access memory, the session key can be retrieved using a the anet account authentication (which is a http protocol), this key allows you to access all the information visible on the gw2spidy site. Also the character id itself is available externally and doesnt require data mining the application.
