It’s not BP’s numbers that is hurting you, it’s BP’s ability with numbers. Simple math shows that unless AR gets the stones to attack BP, BP will win. We are giving you unfettered access to attack BP and you are still content to doggedly keep a come second at all costs strategy. Don’t worry about us dropping, DH will hate AR just as much as everyone else. And I’m sure your superior coattail holding will let you be 2nd next week too.

My stopwatch disagrees. And lack of combo knowledge makes me cry.

Hmm, too much negativity. Let me positive things up. Gz to AR for perpetually coming 2nd. Don’t forget to pick up BP’s dry cleaning after your celebrations. If you’re nice they will let you sit at the kids table again next week. Then again, DH may be the new sexy in which case you will be left out in the cold reliving all those times you snatched 2nd from the jaws of victory.

No markers on map at all. You scout for intelligence otherwise the only hint you get about activity is something changing color. The only indicator you will get is locked WPs. And that’s because you earned that intel by upgrading.

Night shift is a bit of a misnomer. There is a coverage gap on NSP from about midnight-2 am server to whenever eu logs on in which the skeleton crew that is our WvW pop we have on is running from map to map answering calls for help. Has been like this ever since we lost our oceanic crew. Not counting the absurdidity of the last day, NSP has been ticking ~200-220 when I log out at about 1-2am server. Its then PvD until the eu contingent comes on. So yes Rob, there is NO nightshift. hasnt been for a while. However, not recognising those people who are busting their kittens to hold what they can with minimal numbers is just poor. I know I and many others have pulled long hours holding on waiting for hopefully the next crew to get on. As Smitry says, we need more oceanics and euros if you expect to see a better looking map when you log on.

Pact weapons are about the right reward for completing story. Its not difficult or time consuming. Fine with a scavenger hunt giving a (account bound) precursor as long as the difficulty of completion matches the reward. Giving one for story completion makes as much sense as making it a bonus for buying the collectors edition. Until we see how anet wishes to deal with the TP and RNG, and yes, I hope its epic, its the system we have. Don’t get bent about it, do everything else to ensure that when you earn a precursor, you can make a legendary.

20/25/0/10/15 is my standard go to build, thought I trait either II or V in tactics – better team benefit.

I hear WvW interferes with jump puzzle completion too. We should probably mention that as well.

Make rewards in WvW on par with PvE. Everything else will sort itself out.

For me there is only one (2 sort of) use for the off hand axe. Skill 5 + high crit % + omnom ghosts = full heal and skill 4 when my mace is on cd.

I run A/M with A/A swap. 20/10/0/10/30. Full zerk or knights with zerk acc. Oil (or potion vs xxx), Venom, Ghosts. Damage close to GS, only real difference is the trade off of GS mobility vs Axe Heals.

I will agree on the burnout. And doing some basic math isn’t going to help. At current points adjustment week over week, min 2-3 weeks for DH to catch NSP to move up and ~4 weeks for IOJ to plummet into T6 and allow upward mobility. So shall we start the 8-22-NSP-BP-AR thread now?

I predict that we will be stuck with this stale matchup for a long time. I predict this thread being locked fairly quickly after someone mentions Paxa. I predict AR and BP will continue to tout their prowess and skill in 50v1 combat and PvD tactics. I predict NSP being told how to play by AR/BP. In other words, another week, same as the last, same as the next.

Sooo, since apparently we have to endure this match up for the ongoing future, can we perhaps suggest a separate Paxa thread? Bet you could beat Kain and Mag for the record # of locked threads.

Calling scoreboard when you’re not winning fails to hold much weight. Maybe someone from AR could ask you the same thing.’

Hmm 4 months – you’ve missed alot. As happened with every server, as soon as we settled in the ranking and stopped winning, the bandwagoneers left. I think we peaked at T5 for the week long matches and have since then settled in T6 for a long while now. We lost our Oceanic coverage to the Kaineng bandwagon and have had a trickle in and out since then. Current NSP is the least populated T6 server but has a pretty good showing except during Oceanic times. As for the WvW community, its good on NSP. Logging in on superbowl weekend for the 3rd straight week of AR/BP/NSP is not a good indicator of community. If you want massive zergs, move up. News flash, NSP isnt going to win the week. Bigger news – NSP worked together, had a good evening and had a nice morale boost. Whine all you want, but what went down in EB was a good result and even kept people logged in after they usually quit for the night. The PvD zerg happpens every night, its the only way AR is gonna take territory. It was going to happen no matter what. I would much rather see a server leaving the night with a positive result and improved morale. Who knows where we will end up next week – I know wherever we end up, its with a stronger server. Oh, and all those actions bumped us into 2nd place. Funny how that works.

Been here since beta and I know the history. Still doesn’t remove the perception that your server is currently coming off fairly poorly in the PR department during this matchup. If you’ve been the Zerg, then you should have learned humility in victory. If you’ve been outmanned, you should have become stronger for it. Kudos though, you have learned to cry well.

Axe/mace with /axe as swap gives more consistent damage but less mobility. GS gives bigger numbers and mobility but the HB root means you won’t always hit max. The axe spin is also a bonus full heal with Omnom ghosts, I find the healing gains to be less with GS. Run both all the time and lately I’ve been leaning towards Axe/xx. Results are same with both gear sets I use – full zerk or knights with zerk accessories

I am forever amused that NSP is being told how to play and how we would be doing so much better on the scoreboard. If populations were closer, this match wouldn’t even be close. If it hasn’t been clearly demonstrated here, NSP has fun, has an unhealthy relationship with EB and SM, views outmanned as a bonus 24×7 buff and apparently annoys our dance partners because of it.

Typical evening shift. Secure home BL, jump to EB to expand foothold, jump back to defend BL, back to EB to push out an offending zerg and press other 2 sides, make a scenic visit to another keeps water-gate, cause general chaos, send people back to BL to retake stuff, defend an out-manned EB with a 5 man team, breathe, merch, repeat. Requires inter-map communication, inter guild communication, clever use of siege and dedication. Fun as hell and never boring. Everyone makes a difference. Why wouldn’t you want to join?

If Anet made a mistake, they will fix it. Until then guilty as charged, its how Anet deals with botters. Their game, their rules, their call. I support bot bannings and unless the posted video covers every second of play the 10 have ever done in game, its worth as much as was paid to post it.

NSP is still adjusting to the lack of numbers between Midnight server and when the Morning (Night) crew arrives. Logged off at about 2am server – Held everything red and blue in EB except the blue keep plus SM & WC. BPs 50 zerg was off PvDing the BLs because we didn’t have the numbers. Night before, we defended the BL. Can’t be everywhere at once and definitely can’t conjure up a 50 zerg. Did note BP didn’t actually bother to attack anywhere there was actual resistance – you stayed where people wern’t until NSP logged for the night.

I will concur with the opinions here – you have no clue abut whats going on and how the lower tiers operate. Nothing wrong with T6. Fairly balanced numbers, you have to actually consider your resources as you cannot possibly cover every map and 5 man teams are just as valuable as Zergs because skill actually matters – you cant just throw another 100-200 lemmings at the problem. Did we also mention the added bonus of no wait times.?

The top tier servers have a massive WvW population. We have a massive PvE population with much less WvW players. Ghost town my kitten

Keep your high tier 24×7 zergfests, we like what we have.

That fight in Vale last night was really fun. You all were persistant in keeping that camp when I was on. Didn’t get to participate in the redbriar fight although.

That was a good night of WvW. Always fun trying to hit siege limit in a camp. The fights afterwards at the tower were endlessly entertaining.

Answer: Grind FOTM the week you play Kaineng. You will be completely geared out, have some pocket money and will have avoided being overrun by their “skill”

stay back edge of platform, strafe left and right. If you are sharing a platform with someone you will get knocked off. Just assume you are always being targeted.

Pretty sure I would die a lot as a Thief/Warrior in a matter of a month as I am not used to being targeted by everyone in a zerg compared to sitting back reading forums firing off that 3 second cast AoE.
