I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m guessing the reason [MU] isn’t getting many GvG responses is in the way you ask for them.

Most GvG guilds see the mode as a friendly way to improve the group synergy and combat skills of both themselves and the opposing team. For you guys, it seems like you’re using it to flex your kitten and justify your trash-talk. It’s like you start out by calling everyone bad, then throw out GvG’s so you can say “yeah that’s what we thought” when no one bites.

The reason no one bites isn’t because they’re scared of losing. It’s because of your attitude. We, [HARD], don’t mind losing GvG’s, since we still get nice practice, but your attitude is off-putting.

If you earnestly want GvG’s, my friendly advice is that you reform the way you ask for them. I mean this as respectfully as I can, since I support the GvG community, and [MU] could be a serious contender in the lower-silver/upper-bronze GvG scene.

If you actually knew us then you would just realize what you just said is a bunch of kitten. We have given feedback and even go into their VOIP to give our opinion on how they would’ve improved in the fight.

Go ahead and ask COSA, Star, EA, BB, BS, and all the other guilds we have GvG already.

If you’re going to use the excuse the reason you won’t do a GvG with us is because of our attitude, then just stop talking.

That’s the thing, though. Most guilds on servers you haven’t fought before DON’T know you guys. Because they DON’T know how you really are in game, all they have to go on is what you say on the forums. If you presented the offer as a genuine attempt to request 15v15 GvG’s, instead of having multiple guildies open with “all IoJ is bad and blob, GvG us pls”, you’d get a much better response.

Again, I’m sure you guys are cool people in game, but trash-talking other servers, then requesting GvG’s won’t get you as many responses.

And you can treat our refusal as an excuse if you want. That’s honestly the reason. We’ve lost GvG’s before and have been fine with it. The trash-talk is just off-putting for us. Again, I only speak for us, and not for other guilds.

Seems pretty nice to me but I’ll just accept your reasoning of why you don’t want to GvG. See you on the battlefield.

We all know you dont fight larger numbers because you come here complaining about it, so do you actively try to find 5 mans or do you just choose to pick on solo roamers, roamer pairs or people running to rejoin the zerg fight? No 90% of the time Bsty is outnumbered and do fight those fights. No they don’t come here to complain about it, thats myself and Oozo. They and we ‘pick’ on whoever they can get their hands on, yes that includes hitting two larger groups that are currently fighting each other (interestingly enough one of the 30+ man grps usually turns on us). Do they run meta builds? I could be wrong but support/condi non-perplexity engie or dps guardian meta aren’t really meta.

*We also love to jump three people with our large group. We are so good we can take three whole people with eight!

In truth…..We need to be able to stroke our virtual penors, so we chase three or less across a map to feel good about our lack luster selves.*

Mister and I have had a lovely time bringing entertainment to the match up threads we have participated in. We’ve enjoyed the company of all of you and are rather sad it is coming to an end. We’ve met a lot of great people through here and wish Anet would reconsider their want to close down the match up sub form. But alas, it is their game, what more can we do.

As for us moving to the new forum, this will not be happening. The Mister and I are all for less moderation in forums, but in the way of razzing/smack talk. I had the misfortune to view the new site, I was bombarded by a lewd photo that caused great disgust among the BUNS group. As the Mister and I (As well as the rest of BUNS) are very much against such things, we shall have no part in this new forum.

We’ll still be kicking it up in game and on our personal blog.

Match up thread antics will be very missed.

Had some good fights last night, night started off sour due to -65% to conditions people were running, its a good auto win against necros. Once we stopped fighting those people who also have tons of stuns, auto win against necros also, it was a really fun night. Had a great fight between Bay and Garrison against a CD group, you guys just kept coming!

Should mention that it is indeed an auto win against necros, severely nerfs not only our damage but our survivability options too.

Don’t forget how the raw damage on our conditions is MUCH lower now due to the Dec. 10th patch!

Ynot, you know my mesmer (from when I was on GoM) and you know I roam alone. Several of Yarr know me as well, especially Silent who I talk to all the time. I can speak from first hand experience that there are plenty of roamers on IoJ and many of them can hold their own quite well.

I also share the sentiment of the BUNS and look forward to a match up with GoM. I don’t have the loathing that they share but would like to fight several of my former roamers there.

I still get a kick out of this pink sylvari thief from Yarr who jumps me from time to time. After that initial hit, he realizes he hasn’t downed me and notices my guild tag. Then it’s PMing back and forth until it’s time to log off. For some reason, Silent can always find me in a crowd. Either that or he’s just blindly targeting mesmers.

As a power necro, there is little/no disengage so that is less of an option. I try to alt-f4 as soon as I see that it is an unfun build in order to drive the point home that I am not ragequitting, just refusing to fight

As necro is my main and only thing I ever play, I feel your pain. I honestly do. Some of the fights are so far gone to the land of ridiculousness that I rather crochet and play on pinterest all night instead of bother to find good fights.

The idea behind doing as you do is understandable, but I prefer to make them chase too. Yes, our mobility utterly lacks in every aspect. But some how, I’ve learned to dip out of things rather fast with a few tricks. If I’m good at anything, it’s escaping.

NSP and IoJ were about where you all are on the weekends with CD. Wait until the weekdays where you cant field kitten all during SEA slot. HOWEVER, The fights in all timezones would be simply amazing I’m sure. Well worth a close week on top of amazing fights.

You could not force me back to GoM with a gun to my head. Everyone who transfers has a reason and almost always it is because they seek to gain and improve their experience by moving. No one leaves a server that is best for them. Population stacking is a problem and one that should be addressed by Anet and the players who are leaving for poor reasons, but it is never so great a problem that players should move to servers that are bad for them. Because players on another server suffer for my leaving is not reason enough to suggest anyone should feel bad about looking for greener pastures, perhaps if more servers were inviting there would be less stacking.

I second this post. I would NEVER go back to GoM, not even with two guns, boondock saints style, at the back of my head!
