I still play (Off and on due to a lot going on at the moment) because it is a time sink I love enjoying with Mister Buns. We’re an amazing team and those maps hold lovely memories of that for me. I still come around for our beloved guild, BUNS, it’s made up of the two of us, my mother, my brother and two of our most dearest friends. It’s about enjoying time with family for me, family that is spread out at times. Lastly, IoJ, I love the people of IoJ like my extended family and I’m happy to help them on the battlefield.

GoMs dedication and coordination pays off BIG! I was just wondering if any other server has been able to pull this off before. Not only did we pull it off, but we pulled it off during a WvW season! We managed to capture and hold EVERY camp, tower and keep!

What I don’t understand is, why is it when people come to the forums to explain how something new/changed in game effects them in a MEDICAL way (Headaches, motion sickness, vertigo, etc) everyone jumps their beck, hollering that they are ‘party poopers’ or ‘have no sense of humour’. That just isn’t kind or fair. Where is your compassion, your humanity? …Oh wait, this is the net…

Personally, heh, it’s slightly funny for April Fools. But, I can’t play it due to the way the head moves (Motion sickness) and the disproportion (I have a bad case of ocd, yes, diagnosed.) So, I won’t be playing. It would be nice to turn it off, but since I can’t and don’t want to fiddle with my system date or log in and out all day, I’m just not going to play. But I’d like Anet to know they should think of those of us with issues like these.

Come on over to IoJ, our community is amazing. In the match up we are in right now, we’ve ran into quite a few roaming groups that have given some really great fights.
We aren’t over done in the roaming department, so you shouldn’t be fighting for fights, if you know what I’m saying.

I’m not going to post my opinions on Scarlet’s death, but I will agree the three lines we were given were ridiculous.

I sat there looking at them for a good moment, shaking my head. This is suppose to be an RPG MMO right? Well, my character would have never said ANY of those lines. To be fully honest, she would have rolled her eyes and told Jory to shut her mouth, that clearly something is amiss and we should be doing work instead of sitting around giggling.

All three lines were terrible.

It will be nerfed into the kitten ground the moment it screws up their beloved spvp.

Edit: Maybe this isn’t every transfer story but this is the story of most transfers that I’ve seen leave Gate of Madness from their own mouths. I suppose it’s not the story that they tell to the server they arrived on or maybe not the story that servers with many guilds take notice of. But here we have few guilds and I try to remember each of their stories.

Most of the people that have previously left GoM and then returned, did so because they didnt like the competition of more skilled players, feeling that their contributions weren’t as weighty. They returned because the overall lack of skill on GoM was so low, theirs seemed exponentially higher.

Comparable to a small U.S. town feeling fancy when it gets a Popeye’s Chicken along its interstate highway route.

I’m honestly looking forward to the incoming reply from the 500 roster gold or silver league guild announcing its transfer to tier 8. They definitely won’t be thinking about Kaineng when making the decision.

Oh my gosh! LOL! Nearly spit my tea out. That is exactly what it is like! Don’t forget when they get that Ihop! Now they are rolling in the money!

Hello, I am ALS’s raid leader and WvW officer and I am happy to announce our return to our original home Anvil Rock.
With us we hope to bring four things we have learned in our time on dragonbrand. We will be returning with 150 active players, most of whom are experienced zerg busters with experience against guilds such as Ark, EP, AGG, FEAR, as well as the maguuman backplane blobs. We will be bringing four major game changers to Anvil Rock.

#1. Troops on the ground.
Our leader Anvil Pants divided our guild into 5 teams of 25-30, each lead by a separate commander. Two Gallants, Hroflr Kumar, Kodiak, Mysticloner, and of course me. Each of our teams is highly experienced and is ready to not only assist each map but also train others. Expect to hear me giving commands and coordinating with out commanders as we actively work together to create full map coverage during Na. Do not question their decisions, as they are never wrong.
#2. EU coverage
While the hard core portion of our guild plays from 4 server to 12 server we can’t cover the entire day, therefore the more casual part of the guild manages the WU time zone in which ever way they see fit.
#3. Voip services
While scouting AR in preparation for our return we found the current teamspeak inadequate and we have set up a raid call for the server. We expect that guilds will comply with this new VoIP or they will receive little cooperation from us.
#4. Training
Now I understand that most of Anvil Rock has never gotten the proper wvw training, which is why Anvil and I will be running a weekly MANDATORY training sessions for all those who use our VoIP.. can’t wait to see you there.

We have a motto in ALS. WvW isn’t about having fun and playing for fights. It’s about stacking on the pin, shutting up, and doing work. Its about winning the score at the end of the week. Goodbye dragobrand, hello Anvil Rock !

10/10 Would fit in perfectly with GoM.

We duo’d ET’s bay keep last night, then were in the process of duo’ing ET’s hills keep before one guy showed up and managed to make us reset the lord room. There were no other players from any servers (including ours) running on that map.

This was less than an hour past NA primetime (around 10:30pm CST), by the way.

As much as I’d love to protect the awesome small fights we get in the lower tiers, the time window for any actual gameplay is limited to just about 2-3 hours per night and then just completely shuts off. We NEED mergers at this point.
