I fully channeled tranq twice, it didn’t give it to me
and we lost the game by 30 points
anyone else have this problem?

That isn’t true at all. People’s ranking on the leaderboard has nothing to do with their MMR or matchmaking. There are currently 3 people in the top 25 with a win rate above 60% so nobody is confusing any of these players with being the actual top 25.

When you play that many games you are bound to go on losing streaks like that solo queueing, especially when you play all day.

Actually Darres has pretty high MMR as far as I can tell. I encounter top players all the time while running solo queue and Darres gets put in the same matches as I am pretty often.[/quote]

they are just plain better than me

I am just not good enough to fight in this dam bracket they put me in

i go out of my ways to end on a winning game…never had this much problem

Its particularly off because a lot of you grinded out false positions on the leadberboard before the favored loss fix and part of the matchmaking formula involves leaderboard rank. Being higher up on lb helps lead to facing tougher opponents.

it’s not about the opponents
it’s more about your the team you get

when people start at far or go off to beast or try to solo lord at 0 – 0
you know they’re not in the same league

i don’t play this game to lose
i don’t mind strong opponents
but when your team is made of doyaks/ tigers and you 1v2 at far all game and still lose
it drives me crazy
how is that fun in anyway?
u try so hard, do everything right and get rekt by noobs, it becomes very frustrating

anet talks about a friendly pvp community, how on earth can anyone get in a friendly mood when they do things like this?
everybody likes to win, specially in ranked games, during the season

Dunno if u ever watched/played high bracket pvp but thief is only usable as cap or +1 because of poor design of many mechanics involving stealth/initiative everyone who at least know what thief can do can outplay him
Also funny that stealth interrupting channel skills (not only rapid fire ) is too op but kittened skills with 3-6 100% immunity to dmg is ok , also i do understand that ranger was up and now finally got some love , but saying that thief is op in spvp is literally not playing him or l2p issue

It’s hard to compare stealth on a thief, which has virtually no hard cooldown aside from revealed on both the d/p and s/d meta builds as weapon skills to immunities with cooldowns of a whole minute or more. Plus, each utility provides only immunity from one damage type; either direct damage or condition damage. It’s a panic button with a relatively long cooldown compared the duration of the skill. Stealth, however, can be employed by the thief as long as there is initiative to spend.

If it was based purely on MMR then it will be bad for solo players.

1. Solo and Premades will need to be seperated within the same ques so it’s impossible for them to play each other.
2. It needs a more strict degenerated rank system, people would have to keep playing, more than a few times a week to keep their rank position. Unlike the old leaderboard.

That’s too bad, but that’s an argument for separating the solo and team leaderboards. The alternative is a leaderboard that’s bad for everyone because it only measures how much someone plays.

i’m playing season 2 stories and i noticed under the living world story tab
that there are 2 achievement loots
1. is achievement and rewards
I assume u get this for finishing the story

2. is master achievements
It’s all grey for me, so i’m guessing I didn’t meet the criteria to unlock the rewards
and I can’t find any information about them

can someone show me a link to where i can get achieve master achievement rewards for each episode?

what if bring loot boxes from pve into heart of the mist and open them there?

is it everything u open?
or rank up rewards?
pvp tracks give u gilded boxes too, so do i get the bonus if i bring in gilded boxes from
pve and open them in here?

do we have any clear guidelines>?

Why don’t you wait a week and see if it still bothers you. You can even continue on to the claw island section then stop. If it’s still an issue to you after the week is over then delete, but you may find it’s not that important anymore since it’s not important to the story after that point.

Well if it is that important to you then there really is only one option. Salvage or sell all soul bound items that can be, bank everything else, delete your character and start over. Consider it a new journey that will free yourself from the chains of your current order.

You could join up with someone doing the story line you wanted to do and see all of that. Then you can continue your storyline and you can roleplay you are really in the other order and collecting information to report back. (The old “trust, but verify”) I’m sure having spies in other departments is something that Whisper agents would do.

Also, the stories merge together at Claw Island. Once you reach there, it doesn’t matter what the previous choice was. It all goes together. If you want the armor or weapon skins you can run a different char through and get them in your wardrobe.

You have more than 1 character slot, there are 5. Why not just start a new character on one of those slots and keep your current character?

I don’t see the point of having 2 thieves…i want 1 of every profession

so i made a post earlier about how i can’t switch order and some of the decisions I made
during my personal story

i am considering deleting my character and make a new one
let’s put our heads together and think
what do I lose if i were to do that?

1.I know i lose my map completion all 57% of it
2. my character age will change, so i’ll lose some of the older birthday awards?
3. current personal story progress, but that’s something i want to change
4. all the soulbound items i have…which is quite a lot, even some ascended gear( kitten!)

anything else should I be mindful of?

You created a character in the game 2 years before it was released? Wow, you should have shared your secrets earlier. People would have paid for this amazing knowledge.

The only way you are going to change your Order is to delete your character and reroll it, and choose to join the Order of Whispers during your Personal Story play through.

condi rangers are really tough
but most pro teams are so used to their old comp they don’t really inmerse themselves with the new builds

need to introduce some new blood and new builds

Sadly, they can hardly nerf the class enough to make everyone stop playing them. It’s just the style I like best, even if I can only tickle people to death, I’ll find a way!

It might even be that the harder they make the skill vs reward ratio the more reward we’ll feel when we do win that 1vs1 or x-vs-x..

You realize that thieves still have the best reward/risk ratio of all zerker builds?
Thieves just suffer right now because the meta is all bunker/celestial etc… and a thief cant win, from a strategic tpvp perspective, against builds that outlast a thief cooldown/initiative wise like bunker engis or cele D/D eles

only thieves and gs war are capable of catching them
buuuut like how i started this post, with sick em, thieves can’t deal with rangers if they manage to kite until initiative run out

i jsut lost my first 5v4 today…even though I have won plenty of 4v5’s
yeah it was a shocker but when your team cannot 3v1 or 4v2, it is extremely frustrating

The only problem with sic em is that when it shows as debuff on your bar you can’t tell how long it lasts. You can’t tell the difference between revealed from sic em or from your own stealthing…

Sic em revealed needs to be a color coded debuff so we know by looking that we need to dodge instead of stealth.

Often I’ve got hit by sic em just after coming out of stealth. With no animation or knowing from the ranger my only option is to mouse over my debuff and check the time. Just not possible with the speed of combat in this game…

Devs just don’t care about thief…

i’m still in awe that they nerfed thieves without compensation
when they made steal unable to crit, they gave healing instead.
there was a trade off, but now adays all the nerfs they did, no compensation was added.
i know what you mean about their unreasonable hatred for thieves lol.

in my opinion thieves are the best pve class
they’re run fast, and they hit hard.
against ai’s thieves are great
u can go p/p, put 4 points in trickery, make sure you get ricchochet + the healing signet
unload will take care of everything

if that is a little diffcult for you
play p/d, condi or cele , or zerker will work but when it comes to pve, I prefer to kill fast instead of waiting for condi’s to tick in

put 6 points in shadow arts and get that Rejuvenation going, rest is up to u, condi or crit dmg.
u probably don’t need healing signet with this build, so i’d suggest use draw back for fast travel
