i like the idea of not seeing the enemy team’s profession while still allowing your own team to swap
when u have too many thieves or rangers on 1 team, it’s jsut down right dirty
i mean sometime u could pull off a victory but more often not
1.sometimes when a down player is on a ramp or the edge of a cliff
you can start the stomp animation but when u finish, they don’t get stomped
2.teleports are still bugged, skills such as steal, blink and lighting flash will execute but
not teleport users to target location even when steal gives u a new skill and stuns your target
3. and…this is a thief problem, sometimes when i heart seeker without a target, i kind of move away from where i’m going, like it’ll go side ways or backwards, different from the
directional keys i’m pressing…very annoying
4. I understand why u punish players from counter picking classes once they enter map
(even during the first 2 minute wait time,) and your reasoning why you won’t prevent class stacking for solo que, but when u run into team comps like 3 thieves, 2 rangers against 4 engis, it is pretty much a lost game. that happens quite often. the match comes down to 50% luck, to be paired up against professions that don’t make sense.
i would rather be paired up with/against a fair team and wait a little longer in que…since there’s warning when match is found out ( very nicely done on that part by the way,) than spend the next 10 minutes in game, struggling not to go 0 – 500
5. sure everybody knows…leaderboard is just a grind fest right now…lots of undeserving players on it. sure everybody knows…
oh btw, when do we get our pvp rewards?

I’m not sure yet but I think swapping class and winning the game gives no win but it does give a loss if you lose. Is this intended? I switch class when I solo/duo/ trio Q if there’s already a thief just to get a better team comp but it doesn’t count on the leaderboard.
I usually don’t look at the leaderboards because I know its just who plays the most games but I still don’t wanna only accumulate loses because of the bugged system.
Yes. Leaving the game for any reason, including swapping professions, marks you as a deserter and gives you a full loss. A full loss is the same as if your team ended the game with a score of 0.
If dishonor was enabled, you would be getting dishonor for leaving as well.
so you guys won’t implement features that forbid profession stacking
nor will you allow players to switch classes before game starts without penalties,

solid premades don’t tend to meet often when they’re on the bottom
once they climb higher, the bottle neck thickens and they’ll face better challenges
not saying they’re unbeatable, but when they’re still low tier, they don’t run into strong team comps that often
This will cost you a desertion (-3 pts) on leader boards. They will most likely implement a (30s?) grace period but it is not yet in place. So if you do not care about your leader board ranking. Go right ahead
If you do, then don’t switch.

Really? Going 80-0 is easy, im sorry i solo que alot and ive played against some of those players and in the new system came close to giving them a loss but im surprised that someone could go 80-0 and your sitting here going easy.
There was a few times i got a full 5 of friends to play and though were not elite we went about 8-2. Were all pretty good players but we lost 1 game to poor rotations cause we dont t.s and 1 the other team was just better. This guy went 80-0 and your just like easy. Im a bit surprised, if you tell me you have 4 other friends who will play ranked games with you and you say we can go 80-0 easy. Lol im sorry i just get the feeling you guys are being a little jaded and just getting mad over the new pvp system. Seriously 80-0 easy?

Mike.**** blackpacko if you look up his name is 80-0 in ranked matches. I have to say, finding some of the people ranked 200+ is impressive. LB aside 80-0 wow thats hard for anyone on any circumstance.

It seems like it wouldn’t be particularly difficult to implement a general check for input – “If [input from (default keybinding) 1-10] is active, wait until input is not active.” Maybe have it put up a “Hey, Last Refuge is ready to pop” indicator.

even now cheaters continue to cheat, and we have no reliable way of proving it

They have been disconnected. They will no longer be used. The new test season starting Dec 16th will use Ladders, not the old leaderboards.

and you can recognize a shatter burst from 2 miles away
it’s much easier to spot than a guard burst
ultimately, what i’m trying to get at is
players such as yourself, instead of learning to play the game and evade/negating
your opponent’s burst damage, just want to have THEIR dps lowered
he caught you off guard, you got outplayed so the victory should have went to him

1) 1.244 dmg (usually more)
2) 2 boons stolen (priority on stability)
3) giving these boons to you and nearby allies in a radius of 240
4) grants vigor for 10 seconds
5) grants you and allies in a radius of 360 fury for around 10 sec
6) grants you and allies in a radius of 360 swiftness for around 10 sec (and 1 might stack)
7) heals you for 2.040
8) puts poison on the enemy for 13 seconds
9) dazes the target (which goes through stab because its first priority on boons removed)
10) when using the current backstab build with panic strike it afflicts weakness for 51/4 sec on the enemy
11) recharges all skills of one type (traps, venoms etc)
12) gives you 2 initiative
13) has a 900 range
14) is instacast
15) can even be casted if you cannot even port to the target currently because he is on an obstacle (effects still proc)
16) only has 21 1/2 seconds cooldown
17) ports to the target (instant gapcloser)

To be honest I don’t acually mind having such a thing on thief because thief requires at lot of skill to be played competetively but the problem is that even tho the thief uses a lot of trait points to improve his “steal” ability in order to improve his survivability he still deals a ridiculous amount of dmg by double procs (air-fire, fire-blood)Solution:
1.) Add counterplay to steal (you can only predict it atm)
2.) Remove some effects of steal – or – nerf double procs but make up for the nerfs by buffing other things on classes (not thief) that rely on these procs to have sustained dmgI do also think that passive stuff in this game needs an overwork as well (necro fear procs, engi burning, mesmer condi output) and the strength of weaponswitches with geomancy and doom on some classes
as well as relying on autoattack for dmg
mesmer – gs
ranger – shortbow
thief – autoattack
warrior – axe (except for eviscerate)
but this time i really want to discuss “steal”also dont forget the day “pin down” got an animation – it added so much more skill to duels fighting as or against a warrior

in other words, all your traits must be set around to buff steal and even so, it still
can’t get as much buffs as you mentioned.
I understand your frustration with the mesmer vs thief match up, but it’s a purely a l2p

any further, either way your complain is both unrealistic and bias
any thief that trait his whole build around steal is a useless thief
I think the OP is upset about all the CC that prevent you from fighting back. Actually he’s not that wrong, it’s completely broken.
On one side anet is dumbing the game down so that you dont even learn to dodge until higher levels, and on the other it’s making it so that face to organized players there is absolutly nothing you can do:
Necro boonstrip stability – Fear, Mesmer daze, Ranger pewpewpew, and your dead.
No matter how bad or good you are at the game there is nothing that can counter that combo.
i don’t know , guy, 1 shadowstep, teleport will do the trick
but with 3-4 people blowing all their cooldowns on you, i think u deserve to die
if u don’t live through a 1v4 gangbang, it’s absolutely them being op right?

when u portal up to the cannon
sometimes if u hold down f key, it portals you right back
so instead of going through the portal, u start at where u were before but now with a
5 second cool down
very annoying
