ilu Sam and Swifty (and others). I read the html dump of the first four pages, that was just too precious xD “Go read the TOS and stop verbally abusing me, you kitten kitten. (slat batch)”
I’m feeling a little dangley after that though. I didn’t get to see any of the posts about the dongs getting banned or the APB for Heit :-( Any of you snap happy folks got a screengrab of the later portions of the convo?
Reading this is the most fun I’ve gotten out of GW2 in months :-D
Edit: kitten nvm, reddit saves the day again
EditiMcEditPoo: Wow. D // e // r // p gets the feline treatment now? Seems a tad zealous.

I want to bring this to everyone’s attention: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Justice-has-been-served/page/5#post4523631
A dungeon griefer has been banned and Chris is looking for information on the famed Mr. H, the one we all ‘Hate.’ I encourage you all to PM him any screenshots that you have of his encounters with you, chat logs, videos etc.
Looks like the thread was deleted >.<
Looks like I have to call in all my favors with anet
If you have favors with ANet and we still don’t have a new dungeon, then what the hell, man?
Didn’t you post this thread here already a couple of months ago?
Yeah, always search the forum before posting…
Oh wait. Forgot where I was for a moment.
I love karma. Anabasis already said everything I could say. We did remember what happened to Miku and did make sure the thread did get the deserved attention with proofs against BolaOcho. The spanish moderators already deleted the thread, so I hope the guy is banned :P
Don’t hold your breath, apparently Heitred was running arah last night… still around…
This is a joke, right?
Right?
That is just glorious. Gratz Miku, justice that sweet doesn’t come often! Almost seems to perfect to be possible, but….mothercatting video xD
I’d love a better translation of his last post on that page, google is failing hard with some of his mispellings:
el miku es muy listo el subió el vídeo que le intereso a el, el me echo ami primero y me guarde el user para cuando lo viera devolvérselo, y no.. no tengo pruebas, si cres que eso me va a quitar el sueño.. yo no vivo de esto.
Right, my concubine sister and drunk mother…
Brandin’ ain’t easy.
DA:O noooooo….Leske was my f-f-f-friend
T_T
Wow. “My guild is kittenty so we shouldn’t have hard content.” Hadn’t seen that one before.
There has been a bug for quite a while now[snip]
FIX THIS
Awww, I remember when I had the slightest hope that something obviously broken would get fixed in a timely manner. Don’t worry, Sesshi, that’ll go away.
They don’t have the people to fix anything. There’s one team doing pretty much all maintenance, and since the stale and buggy instanced content isn’t that popular (surprise! wonder why that is…), it isn’t a priority.
2016 is actually a pretty good estimate considering issues like
- instance ownership
- arah exploits
- arah waypoints
- PvE condition balance
- PvE gear balance
- Alphard spin-pull-instadeath
etc etc
They’ll fix it, but thinking it’ll be anytime soon will just add to your frustration. We’re at the bottom of the totem pole; it’s a sad reality that the things we care about just aren’t a priority for them.
You dirty, cheating elitist kibbeh. Not cheesing Lupi is an exploit.
The real question is: Aren’t you excited for the second half of LS S2!?!???
Honestly, from my experience both dungeons and FotM have both been relatively dead for a while now. You can still get a party together, but there has definitely been a noticeable drop-off in the number of players doing them. Good luck.
Is it a game catered to.. special… kids?
Next time you want to ask yourself this, remember that we don’t have first person camera because they’re afraid it would confuse their players.
And downed-skill locking.
And for that matter, all of the NPE. Because leveling was so hard before.
Yeah.
Have any of you ever heard of Zhaitan bugging out at the end fight?
I was trying to buy story earlier (well, it IS boring!) and when the party filled the seller could not finish the path. I got suspicious after he “went to google how to finish” and ported to the Glory of Tyria wp. Zhaitan was there, but the cannons could not be activated.
Was he just really unlucky?Didn’t get my gold back, either and the guy lied in lfg about the “last spot” which made me waste half an hour, too, waiting for buyers. So much for trusting sellers >>
So many red flags….could have been 100% scam with some acting to avoid getting reported :-(
If they kept your gold and were exploiting, report the moron.
I had a dream.
I was playing in a new dungeon… freshly made… It was kinda like Urgoz. Imagine this… if…Nah, it was you thinking of all the new dungeons in DA:I.
I hear DA:I will release one new dungeon per month, save baby puppies from burning buildings, and pay off your mortgage. Can’t wait omg.
All that 1334, and 0 reading comprehension :-(
It means the group is running an exp-lorable path.
Duh.
buuuuhhhh anet is awesome anet is great
Anet doesnt care about the players.
I’m contributing, right?
What gear stats do you use?
Alpha is one fight that I’ve really noticed the difference between zerk/non-zerk gear. If everyone is dealing high damage, the fight goes quickly and smoothly — he dies before anyone has a chance to screw up.
Tankier parties have more trouble with him, at least when trying to stack. The fight will take quite a bit longer and there are just more chances for things to go wrong.
For instance: I remember one particular back-to-back CoE run with two different parties. One was tanky, the other was zerk. We spend, no kidding, 3 hours with the tanky party, and Alpha was taking 3-6 attempts each time. In the zerk party, he just melted in about 20 seconds (I’m exaggerating, but it felt like it…).

I always liked CoF p3’s Tunnel of Fiery Death and Whatnot. Doesn’t have to slow you down, but it can be a painful challenge if you don’t know your mobility/defensive skills very well…
Come to think of it, the endboss was really good, too. Shame that path never got run as often.
It just makes me sad to see so many good people leaving.
Wake up ANet….you’re killing yourselves….so much potential, such a great launch, and then….pbbbbt.
>.< horrable thought!!!
They arent killing themselves. . They are filtering out people who arent in line with their content goals..
Two sides of the same coin, I reckon.
Now, I hope they have means to change the system without having to start from scratch. Otherwise we might have to wait until the next feature patch.
If we’re lucky. So far it seems they’ve started listening, but this is far from a discussion. Feels more like nodding and smiling while their thoughts are elsewhere.
ESO just released a ton of info about what they’re developing far, far down the road. Food for thought.
And I have a 10 minute flood control timer (and temp ban…) from similarly trying to start a discussion earlier. Healthy customer relations FTW, just refuse to talk.
It just makes me sad to see so many good people leaving.

Reading this thread is making me sad…
Endgame is totally fine, though. ANet should pat themselves on their backs.

lol
pls don’t kill me Iris <3 This just reminded me of that HOARIIBULLY hilarious thread.
So Gaile’s post was specifically about a three vote system, and it looks like most of the replies are of the opinion that it wouldn’t be enough.
We appreciate that ANet is listening. Would anyone on the red side of the fence care to involve themselves in the discussion and let us know if our suggestions seem reasonable or not? I think that would be greatly appreciated.
And please — don’t infract this. I’m just trying to start a conversation between the devs and the players, not start any bullkibbeh.
Current dungeon meta is DA:O. As long as there’s a sexy Templar in your party you’ll be fine.
Edit: Bring a lamppost.
(edited by dlonie.6547)
Nope, Logan Thackery. He’s a hunk.
I’ve licked my share of lampposts, and then some.
You seem to be reading a lot into a guy just expressing a common opinion. Conditions suck in PvE group play as the game stands. I don’t see where I’ve advocated a particular build or been rude to anyone, so I’m not sure why you’re suddenly getting a hostile tone?
My only claim was that conditions would need a buff to be viable in a party. I’m pretty sure we’re in agreement on that topic…
wanders off, running into walls along the way like an ignorant buffoon
Have you guys ever licked a lamp in winter?
Just got to that part, I get this now.
He will be mine.
Check out some of the teaching/mentoring stickied threads in this subforum. I’m sure someone wouldn’t mind helping you out.
Also, EU or NA?
I thought, “Wow, they really did start listening!”, but then looked closer.
10/10. Would read again.
skips lightheartedly back to DA:O, whistling a cheerful tune
Personally, I would like to see them add one 5-player mini-instance alongside each biweekly release they are doing with the main living story instances in November. Make them short and challenging – and at the end of the season, pull them all together and drop them in as a new fractal. That way, we have constant new 5-player content just as were getting the single player content now.
Stop making sense.
Making it three votes just kicks the can down the road a bit. All of the same problems exist, except now you need three griefers instead of two.
I don’t want to type this yet again, so I’ll just quote myself:
IMO, the best solution is a system of strong ownership:
- There is an instance owner. This player has sole control over kicking the other players. It is their party, and they are in charge.
- It takes one vote to kick other players: the owner’s vote.
- The owner may transfer ownership to another player by right clicking on the party UI.
- If the owner DC’s for 5+ minutes or otherwise leaves the party, ownership is transferred to another player, by vote or RNG.
This would fix:
- Instance destruction when owner leaves
- “Join & Kick” abuse
- The new “I lost my solo instance because I DC’d!” issue.
It clarifies who is in charge, prevents griefing, and protects both sellers and inexperienced players when they start their own groups.
BTW, thanks for talking with us about it. If this discussion makes it to the designers and developers it will correct a lot of the other issues I mention in the full post I quote above. I hope something useful comes from this, or at least a discussion with more than 1 red-post will happen.
Just leaving this here.
http://imgur.com/O1L8qBB,b0nYrnSAlso, l0l at reds looking to delete and lock some more threads in the trashcan.
There, I can keep afking in la now.
gdi, Lilith is gone for what, two weeks? and this is what happens >.<
BTW, anyone have viewership numbers for the tourney? I’m curious how much it dropped off from the last one.
22. Triumphant Distortion (?)
- Triumphant Distortion (possibly all distortion and invuln?) prevents you from receiving the hammer buff to attack the seals on the Cliffside Fractal.
Late reply, but figured you could use an update to know we are reading these.
This was a bug with how the hammer itself was unlocking Skill 4, and not any one particular profession’s ability fault. We’re investigating this now to make sure the fix works globally for all professions.
You have my sincere gratitude for letting us know what you all are working on and acknowledging an issue, complete with explanation even! This is great to see :-)
Haha, also plausible
Either way, sorry to hear about your misfortune
Hi Gaile!
I’m glad that ANet can hear us, along with our hopes and expectations for GW2!
But can we hear ANet’s hopes and expectations?
Many of us have been hoping for things that seem reasonable but don’t seem to be in the company’s interests. Is there a plan for ANet to share some sort of roadmap to curb incompatible expectations?
edit: Vlad and Ducki beat me to it. 5 minute flood control is OP O.o
They’ve cut the cord for dungeoneers, this is true. I held on to some delusional hope that things would improve for a while after the announcement, but it’s gone after seeing this post.
I just think that PvP’rs who have been waiting for new maps, WvW folks who have been waiting for updates, etc etc might also like to know if the things they’ve been waiting two years for will ever materialize or not.
Everything is behind a big black curtain for some reason. We aren’t allowed to know what’s coming, so instead we hope, and then, of course, get disappointed because all the mystery and hype they generate falls short of industry standards. The longer this goes on, the more apparent it is that there’s nothing behind the curtain; the cake is a lie.
If that’s not the case, now’s the time for them to speak up about it (well, two years was, but anyway…). They should fix the problem before it gets worse.
I know why you were kicked.
Two people in your party wanted to give the instance to their guildies. Welcome to #GriefWars2014! Until they re-fix instance ownership, expect this to happen from time to time.
Yep, I agree completely (about both GW2 and DA:O =D ).
“There is no kittening hope for me in this game.” would have been more accurate first time around ;-)
My last post was meant as a more general suggestion with wider implications than the ever-shrinking dungeon community. Those of us who ran dungeons should definitely give up on the game given the past and future treatment of the area. However, people with interests in PvP, WvW, and PvE would likely benefit from a more open conversation about the future of the game. It’s frustrating to hope the next patch will have something for you only to be disappointed time and time again.
My line of thinking used to be: “They had this content at launch, so they’ll continue working on it as the game matures.” Sadly, this does not seem to be the case. They could satisfy a lot of their playerbase’s frustration by coming clean about what GW2 is, and what it is not.

Hi Gaile!
First, thanks for coming back after your initial post in this thread. I think there has been some valuable discussion here and I’m glad it wasn’t missed. Gathering our input on endgame is a great first step. I hope that discussion comes full circle and we’ll get to hear what direction the company feels is right for the future of the game.
The game has major problems when it comes to producing content. After watching nearly all of my friends leave because there’s not enough new challenging content coming out and hearing similar complaints from other forumers, I don’t see how that is debatable. People who want more than casual LS content are leaving, it’s clear as day.
When we try to give constructive feedback, we’ve been ignored or told “Naaaaaaaaah, everything’s fine.” Now ANet seems to be listening, but it’s a one-way street. We’re telling you what we’re looking for, but we aren’t hearing if our interests align with those of the company.
So rather than some specific suggestions of what I’d like to see added to endgame, I’d love to see ArenaNet take a stance and share their vision for the game’s future; nothing too specific, but what forms of content do you have interest in adding? Will there be more multipath dungeon systems added? Will conditions in PvE get fixed to create actual build diversity? etc etc. These are the things people are being vocal about wanting — if you want to stop hearing the same questions over and over, give us some clear answers =P
Right now…all we can do is guess based on what we see, and I haven’t seen anything challenging added to this game in about a year. That, and I’ve seen a video saying that there’s nothing planned in the near future. So, what does “endgame” mean to ArenaNet? I think that’s a valid question.
stretches Just finished three days in the hole. My first temp-ban! Getting closer to PvF endgame…
Hi Gaile! Thanks for checking out that (formerly titled) “no endgame” thread, I think there was some valuable discussion there and I’m glad it wasn’t missed. I’m really glad you went back to check it out. Gathering our input on endgame is a great first step. I hope that discussion comes full circle and we’ll get to hear what direction the company feels is right for the future of the game.
As for this thread, I’ve never had any issues loading it, but if it is stressing the server, do what you gotta do.
To rephrase one of my infracted posts in a more constructive manner (I’m assuming it was infracted for my lament of “There is no hope for this [expletive deleted] game”):
When players are constantly complaining about a lack of content updates and subsequently leaving, it’s disheartening to see an ArenaNet employee praising a post that is both insulting to the dissatisfied players and arguing semantics to avoid the issue at hand.
The game has major problems when it comes to producing content. After watching nearly all of my friends leave because there’s not enough new challenging content coming out and hearing similar complaints from other forumers, I don’t see how that is debatable. People who want more than casual LS content are leaving, it’s clear as day.
Seeing a red-post affirming that there are no problems with the rate of content production kills any remaining hope I had for this game. Either the game is not suited to players who are looking for more than clicking through a story episode, or the company is blind to the problem. Hence, I personally don’t feel that there is a future in this game for most of us given the direction the game has taken since launch.
When we try to give constructive feedback, we’ve been ignored or told “Naaaaaaaaah, everything’s fine.” Now ANet seems to be listening, but it’s a one-way street. We’re telling you what we’re looking for, but we aren’t hearing if our interests align with those of the company.
I’d personally love to see ArenaNet take a stance and announce what they plan to do in the future; nothing too specific, but what forms of content do you have interest in adding? Will there be more multipath dungeon systems added? Will conditions in PvE get fixed to create actual build diversity? etc etc. These are the things people are being vocal about wanting — if you want to stop hearing the same questions over and over, give us some clear answers ;-)
FYI, since we were talking about them earlier — There’s a Fallout 1 + 2 + Tactics bundle on steam for $5 today if anyone is feeling nostalgic
:-D
I get on every now and then, I’ll keep that in mind next time I’m on — I’ve been meaning to get back into fractals since they fixed Cliffside. It’s just that logging on is…depressing at times. That, and OMG DA:O HAS AWESOME STORY AND NPCS AND DEPTH!!! \(^.^)/
But absolutely, I need to see if fractals can keep me entertained. I was planning to start running with Lilith since she joined the guild I’m in, but, yeah.
Zodiaci, no one is asking you to change your opinion and start disliking the game to be “cool”. You still enjoy the game, and none of us would want you to stop. That’d make us truly terrible people.
I’ll be direct with my answer to your question: “Why do people say there’s no endgame?”
Answer: Because we’re humans, and we mince words sometimes. No one believes that there is absolutely no endgame. When people say that, they’re saying that endgame is not sustainable for them, that the content they enjoy is getting stale.
Hope that clears things up.
I’d be able to forgive that if they’d stop being obnoxious about it, and arguing to other people about something they don’t actually mean.
shrugs Not sure what there is to forgive. They’ve stopped having fun, but it doesn’t harm you in the least.
I’ll leave this thread be since I misunderstood it’s intentions. Have fun in game :-)
