Sounds like this guy. (See the links to google cache). Similar misspellings and paranoid nonsense. Makes sense considering the other people he names.
Not sure how you got pulled into it though :-/
Are you absolutely certain that you’ve never stolen the people from him?

Sorry bud, but grieving is grieving, and those who do it should be punished. Your view that “it’s ok because I don’t like what these players are doing” is very immature.
Patch goes live at 11 AM PST.
Thought I’d share this gem.
It’s only 7AM, and the third post has already won my internets for the day.
inb4 they add a stats screen with:
- autoattacks used
- boons avoided
- enemies tagged
- Number of Journeyman/Masterwork/Rare/Exotic drops
- Champ bags farmed
- Knockbacks
- Fears
These seem more appropriate for the game’s target demographic.
How is playing out this drama useful or constructive to the community.
It entertains me on a boring day at work.
so, shhh, let the drama continue!
Same
But yeah, this is definitely a “take it to a PM” sort of discussion…
How ’bout that [SC] run folks?
I’ve heard some of the others went inactive or switched games, too.
So many guilds drying up/disappearing, it’s getting hard to keep track :-(
No, please, no.
I spent days trying to figure it out. My skills disappeared, I couldn’t figure out how to play…so confusing! I pressed 1, over and over again, but never got any drops :-( I eventually gave up and went back to seeing how long my toon could hold his breath underwater. Related: sharks are mean.
Thank god the NPE saved us from the awful golem chess game. It was waaay too advanced for this game. All of these people complain about wanting more content? NO! ANet needs to continue removing content until I can get my legendary drop from a starter-zone rabbit.
Hehe, I thought the same thing, Detha isn’t a great example of a dungeon fix ;-)
Maybe they will fix them. I hope they do.
Implying the boss bugs in p4 will be fixed. Lol.
Just log into character selection and press “Y”. The force will dissipate rapidly.
lol, two accounts, same name, diff caps and number. Never saw that before, had to double take :-P
I miss the good old karma days, too. I never use the stuff (map completion has completely deterred me from wanting a legendary xD), so I’ve still got about 500k from back in the day when you’d save up jugs and then stack boosters….good times.
But yeah, my guess is that most of the folks who’d remember have indeed left, and those of us who remain don’t have a lot of fight left. Morale is pretty low these days among those of us who are too dumb to just quit already, and given the number of changes dungeons need, karma is pretty low on the list.
Getting karma would be nice. But I’d agree that dragonite drops would be better :-P Getting both from dungeons would actually let me play how I want!
Basically actually literally?
Ooh, yeah…. I’d love to never hear “Yeah, but staff guard is pretty strong” again.
I’m pretending raids aren’t happening, that way when they do happen I have nothing to be disappointed about if they’re bad, and a pleasant surprise if they’re good.
Please, inundate me with the power of your mind brain and kittening teach me how to forget about that CDI happening. Every day I check, every day I feel dirty…

There have been some good ideas hidden among the noise. It was inspiring to see a red post with the idea of introducing a Dry Top sized map that was a 15 man instanced, multiboss open raid area.
It gives me a bit of hope that the ERP/crafting-type “raiding” suggestions are getting (rightfully) dismissed from consideration while they’re reading.
That said…I’ll have to see or hear what they’re getting from the discussion to really know if there’s any actual hope.
:D
Seriously, this video should be required for everyone who comes into this game wanting to be a healer. Potatoes really gave a healing build a try, but found a plethora of reasons why healing is not viable in this game.
My favorite: “Rallying. It’s a thing.” xD DPS does better at getting people back on their feet most of the time…
I’d love to know. That was one of the coolest parts of the game. Are you NA?
I guess that one stack of might + protection (?) for 10 minutes was enough of a priority to fix. Low hanging fruit, I suppose.
Poor deSade can’t get his goat porn to work :-(
Are you guys still active? I’d like an invite to the NA guild if so.
Bah, I’m bored…

and if what u say about ArenaNet made the game for Zerkers and speed runs, why did they bother adding all this complicated and creative PvE build system??? u telling me for PvP or WvW, why not just keep it there then and cut it out from PvE?
We aren’t saying it. ArenaNet’s actions (or lack of them) speak far louder than our words. You’re still wasting your time trying to get things to change, bud.
To recap what people are trying to say, but without the hostility:
It isn’t going to change. Get used to it, or play another game. People have been trying to get more advanced AI and other improvements to dungeons since launch. Let’s not even talk about gear diversity…
See my first post in this thread: We’ve had ArenaNet employees come into this forum and say “we don’t have the resources to revamp dungeons.” Read the links I put in that post. The things you want will not happen, no matter how badly you want them to. It sucks, I know, but that’s the sad reality.
(edited by dlonie.6547)
I dont’ really like normal dungeon, most of them is way too easy. Especially the popular ones where people use it to farm money.
I think fractal is really well done though. The difficulty is just about right for pug. And you some times wipe occasional.
and on the topic of tank… well you are not suppose to get hit. AT ALL. That’s why tanking is mostly useless in this game. And the way people tank is by spamming blind, or block or dodge. And if you really want to tank, grab a hammer for guardian, it provide 33% protection permanently. Which is the equivalent of getting soldier gear for your whole group without sacrificing much dps.
and the topic about glitch or cheat people use in dungeon…. my opinion is it is always the developer’s job to stop that. Not the players job. PvE is about finding the best way to do things. I think all Anet need to do is make dungeon hard, and it’ll be interesting. Fractal is quite interesting to me.
True u dont need tank in boss fights, but in 90% mobs that people skip, u need a tank, healer or an AOE condtionar
Most mobs in the game can be easily cleared by a zerk GS warrior. 3-3-tab-2.
That was hard to read, so I’ll just pull out some of the parts that I could parse >.<
No trinety but its only unity… no condition no healers no support, nothing but power….
Reread the posts above. Going full zerker doesn’t mean “no support”. Support comes in the form of CC’s and damage mitigation (Aegis, blinds, etc).
They’ve had two years to even try making conditions useful and they haven’t moved an inch on it. This isn’t going to change unfortunately.
Healing? This video tells you everything you need to know. It’s really quite good.
if arena net nerfed the berzerker builds vs other builds and made bosses stronger dealing more damge… that wpuld proply fix it…
Why would you think that? Soloing Lupi in zerker gear is commonplace these days, and he’s very powerful and deals enough damage to down a player in a single blow. A boss doing more damage doesn’t change anything when you don’t get hit.
what im saying is… arena net m7at change the zerker builds so other builds could be used in pve, if tank, healer and condition builds is not meant for pve then why even put it there right???
No idea. WvW? All I know is that the playerbase has been quite vocal about DPS gear being the only worthwhile PvE set, so they go and introduce Nomad’s. Go figure.

I think Saint Dan summarized why runs are so fast now, while succinctly dismissing the exploit argument:
Boredom is not an exploit.
comforting.
At least you aren’t in one of these parties.
First, stacking/skipping/etc aren’t exploits. This has been established many, many times.
Second, yes, the lack of PvE build diversity, gear-wise, is annoying. But this has been a frequent player complaint for two years. I wouldn’t waste my energy trying to get ANet to do anything about it, they seem content with the way things are.
Oh, and thanks Jerus (meant to post sooner). Sounds like a great community with an astounding amount of dev involvement/activity. Granted, they (sort of) rely on subs, but it sounds like they’re doing things right. Great example of instance selling in other games strengthening player interactions.
If I ever get the time to finish DA:O…and then do my DA:I playthrough…EQ2 is next on my list :-)
That is, unless GW2 puts out some killer content and all my friends return. lol. Crossing my fingers for two years has given me quite the nasty cramp.
Get out of my dungeons I don’t wanna “look” for people that are trying to rip me off my money. YOU want to charge people for letting them into your party? Sure form you party outside the dungeon. If I want to earnestly look for other players I don’t want to find parties that will kick me if I don’t pay their fee, seriously this is a problem. Let us live you petty thieves preying on naive newbies.
The point is that many people often offer help to other newbies, if it weren’t for the level restriction I wouldn’t need any lvl 80 in my party at all.
Why don’t they fix it?
Because it’s not a big enough priority for ArenaNet to put sufficient resources towards fixing. These problems have existed for two years, and the dungeon development team was disbanded shortly after launch.
For that and other reasons, don’t expect any new dungeons, either.
That sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach? It goes away eventually. Give it time.
(edited by dlonie.6547)
tl;dr, but wanted to let you know that you might want to edit this. Addressing ANet directly will get you nothing but an infraction and a deleted post.
Better to remove all direct references to them so you’ll just get ignored completely, rather than punished for trying to start a dialogue.

Dude….the requirements are clearly written in the LFG description for these groups. Read them. If you don’t like the terms of the party, don’t join and start your own LFG. Pretty simple solution — no rage necessary.
Hey Gaile, any updates from the red side of the fence? Great that the team is listening, maybe we can start a two-way discussion? Are any of our suggestions feasible?
What are the team’s thoughts on different ownership models (strong leader, etc)?
How about showing Join Request popups rather then instajoin when using the LFG tool? Or preventing blocked players from joining on LFG?
No infractions, please, I’m only asking. Feel free to ignore this.
So, if you’re one of the people outside the system.. quite frankly, KITTEN OFF. It’s a great situation for the people involved, and you trying to screw with it is nothing but a narcissistic approach where you feel your opinion means more than everyone else’s. So again, KITTEN OFF.
Go enjoy the game how you want to enjoy the game and leave everyone else alone, please.
Gotta +1 the bolded part. I understand the initial “WTF?!?!” when you see dungeon selling, but…yeah. Jerus nailed it.
BTW, why did you leave EQ? My wife has recently gotten pulled into EQ2 big time and I’m thinking of giving it a shot.
I mean, isn’t this what we all want to see? The game is 10 years old, has seen at least one expansion/year on average, and is still getting waaaay more new content than we are…
Bye Winter :-(
Different person, same old story.
I did enjoy many of your posts. Will you at least hang around on the forums until you hit PvF endgame? ;-)
The wife was an avid craftswoman. She would do that stuff all day and sell things off bringing in a huge profit.
2.
Ability to avoid learning your class/the dungeon/game mechanics (example: new players) and the ability to just buy your way in.
Same could be said to the (dungeon) PvP reward tracks. You don’t need to play dungeons to get the skins and tokens. Blasphemy!
Seriously, +1000. At least someone is running the dungeon when an instance gets sold :-P
Top right corner of the first post is so beautiful.
It’s because I addressed “anet” in the title. “Anet: Dungeon selling buying against TOS”, was the original title. I’m not sure why they put that detail there, because to the forum it looks like anet is publicly “shaming” me.
Ahhh, that would do it. When I made a very friendly, polite post asking if the Alphard change a year ago was intended or not, they infracted me and deleted my post for daring to address them directly. Count yourself lucky it’s just an infraction >.>
Relevant to the thread, points 1 and 3: I’m sure ArenaNet is more aware than we are of CS and gem issues arising from dungeon selling. If it were a significant problem for them (as in worth devoting resources to), they’d have done something.
Anecdotal, but I’ve also never heard of someone who stopped playing because they got their legendary/dungeon armor. Most have stopped because they don’t have anything left to do. Being forced into a dozen or so Arah runs on their way to Bifrost wouldn’t have affected their departure one bit.
Your defense of point 4 sounds like excessive hand-holding for newer players, to be honest. If they watch the LFG, they’ll see “story all welcome :-)” or similar within 2-3 minutes. Even for Arah. Now, even if they don’t want to run that particular path, they’ll quickly have an example for how they can put up a friendly post.
As for the folks who just want the tokens and hate dungeons, I’d rather have them buy the tokens then join my party as a dead weight with a bad attitude getting zero enjoyment from the run. Seriously. Besides, no one who wants to run a path for fun will buy it instead, what would be the point?
Point 2…is valid, but pointless. Take a look at the rest of PvE — ever really needed to know your class, even at a world boss? ANet is perfectly happy for players to mindlessly, skilllessly farm gold and buy what they want. I don’t like it either, but it what the game is, and will always be.
About half of my posts on that thread got infracted. Did i level up?
You’re already posting again, so I guess not :-(
Keep trying, you’ll get it =) Remember, you’re not endgame until you’ve bought a second forum account.
Read my COC.
If I add all known dungeon sellers names to my friends list and then send them whispers threatening to join their instances and kick them if they don’t send me gold, am I breaking any rules?
I believe the word you’re looking for is
lol bingo thread
I miss Lucas :-(
You’re entitled to your opinion, OP, but ANet is fine with selling, as is most of the playerbase. If you want to fight this, it’s going to be uphill all the way.
As for why people buy, it’s for XP and tokens. Personally I’d rather just run them myself, but not everyone feels that way. Buying is just an alternate route to the skins, and since GW2 does try to not force people into one type of content, it’s acceptable.
I also like how “dongs” got through just fine xD
I’m still sore that I wasn’t around for that thread, especially since my 5 minute FC seems to have expired \o/
I don’t think path selling is a problem, as long as they don’t use exploits.
