warrior have a gapcloser.. (or several realy).
but ye, warriors arent a troll class like ranger and thief or DD-elementals.
we are simply.. cannon fodder.
to play a warrior roaming in wvw.. solo.. you need to be top 0.001 % super godly.
if you arent, chanses are you wont last more than a few seconds once in combat.
And if we use our gapclosers to catch a fight. (wich we do)..
we can never get away.

Imo. I like Impaling skills. special on big swords.
Imagine a skill called: Impale. (to replace 100 blade).
Animation: Short very quick rush with sword infront. (range 200-300 range rush).
When you hit. you impale your enemy, rooting them for 1 second.
dmg is heavy + additonal bleeding. (2 – 4 stack).

I doesnt realy matter how you play your warrior against thieves these days.
If the thief is moderately good. you stand no chanse.
If you encounter a thief try to swap to a hammer, just keep moving around in the most random directions and keep swinging your hammer around so you can land some hits.
You also have some cc and you can knock them back with your hammer to create some distance.

I used to run with axe + mace and hammer in wvw.
and i also had abit more hp.. like 24k. it worked against bad thieves.
(but anything works against those).
But the second i faced a good thief… i went down with ease.
I used bull charge the second i saw him to get a head start. got him to 50 % hp in the stun… then he vanished… and when he engaged again.. he was full hp and i just lost a skill for nothing..
Anyways, a few seconds later i lost hard… against his op dmg.
Thieves need to get revealed on dot dmg.
and their dmg nerfed…
OR… giving heavy armor more… i dont know… ARMOR…
you have 1200 toughness
less then 2500 armor..
that is why you’re getting hit hard.
Don’t get me wrong, berserker thieves are going to hit you hard…But you’re getting crushed because you’re glass cannon just the same.
You need to get off the notion that just because you’re in heavy armor..It means you’re impossible to kill
If you get tanky, you still die. just takes 4 seconds instead of 2.
But you cant do crap against thief either in tank… so your just becoming a free kill.
Heavy armor should have naturaly High physical resist.
Have you ever tried to use a knife against a plate armor ?? i have, just for the fun of it.
And trust me.. i didnt even dent the kitten crap when i stabbed it or slized at it.
Heavy armor… is the totaly Anti knife armor. hell its even anti sword to some degree.
If you want a similar test.. just take a 2 mm thick metal sheet… then take a knife.. and stabb away all you like.. you never gonna hurt the metal.

*Then they find thats to op, so they make bosses siege engine class.

*Lets take this car and jump of that cliff, and then we see if we can save ourselves before we hit the ground…
I mean, isnt it better, to keep the reflecting skills as they were.
And just give bosses a unique dmg… wich in turn, the boss is having High self resisting against.
So when you reflect back his own dmg, it automaticaly gets reduced, since its his own dmg, and he have the higher resists against it….
Why do A-net have to feck things up and make things more complicated than they are.
Isnt the whole point in having a reflecting skill. to be able to reflect dmg ????
The abiltity to reflect Siege engines with the whirl using scepter and focus…

Here is the gear iam using.. and the gear i have been 3 hitted in.
I whould think that 2.5 k armor + 20 k hp, whould be enough…
(edit: it only look like 18.9k on stats. but its actually 19.8 on life bottle/screen).
But it seems that Armor classes in this game are just cosmetics.
I have like 600 – 800 more armor than my elemental, wich is using light…
Now thats just plain weird.
Maybe i live in a different reality…
But i honestly think that heavy metal armors should protect a hell of a lot more than cloth.
in GW2:

My test against lvl 80 wolves. found in wvw. iam traited for rifle. nothing else.
my 1 hand axe. auto crits = 1.800-2.400.
my 2 hand great sword. auto crits = 1.400 – 2.000 umm… wtf… its less… ?? !! ???
my 2 hand hammer. auto crits = 2.400 – 3.100. now we are atleast on the right way…

we got into a fight with a mesmer.
Got mesmer down. was about to use the stomp.
I had 12 k hp left of my 20 total..
I saw a poff of smoke.. and then i was dead. looking at the target that killed me.
a Thief…
My first reaction was… wtf realy ?? 12 k hp.. insta killed. on heavy armor… seriously.
WTF is wrong with the Designers that should balance this game.
On top of the supreem mobility on a thief. it has invisibility. that not even Dots uncloak… they dont even leave a bleeding trail or anything… just… gone.
And Also thieves have this stupidly insane op burst dmg, wich you cant realy protect yourself against… your dead before you react.
Because the fight is like this most of the times:
I target a thief.. i start to shoot at him..he notice he gets dmg and vanish…
switch weapons to prepare melee…
2 seconds later. you see a poff of smoke around you.. THIEF…
You start to swing.. “my hp is fine, i get this”… “WTF.. iam down already ? its 2 seconds into fight”…
My warrior in 20 k hp.. have actually been 3 hitted by a thief..
It was the most stupid thing i have ever seen.
Sure, that thief had full zerker gear and low hp…

one in my guild occupied 6 ppl for 15 minutes…then they got lucky and could chain lock him.

So you for a short time. Are being “possessed” by Balthazar.
And therefor Transform.
The Duration could be like this:
so we use the adrenaline as a resource as Dand mentioned.
You hit button and get maximum adrenaline, and then it slowly decays.
(But can be increased if in combat and doing dmg).
The skills could be a mix of what rampage have now and those the avatar have.
And what we see in that vid.. they already have Code to include tranformation and keeping utility slots.

and you hit 1 time every 3 second ??
if you just want a short duration with high dmg.. just use 100blades.
or you can just ask for a high hitting single time use attack sigil.

He throws his standard, and can then use his lance to “fly” towards it.
How about modding that idea abit.
You throw your GS into the ground not to far away, (wich has the chain).
And then you Pull the chain…
*Either you can “fly” towards the sword and knock an enemy down on the passing.
*or Pull the sword back, now having a big lump of Ground on it, knocking down an enemy if hitting on return.

Using adrenaline as resource sounds like a realy good plan for it.
And also allowing our normal skills 6 – 9 sounds like a must also. the healing atleast.
About the determination.. iam not sure. how long should it last ?
Maybe just give 3 determination. at start. and thats what you get for the full duration, no matter how long you keep it up.
Adding F1 burst skill that drains all adrenaline and cancel effect sounds fun.
and making sure that 60 second CD is a must to be worthwhile.
But what it should be… ??? perhaps it can be a support thing ?
like guardians might staff..if using F1 you give 12 – 18 might stack to everyone around ??
Animation could be like a Big Shouting wave effect.. iam thinking about barbarian in D3 when he shouts.
and then you return to normal size.
How about adding 50 % thoughness for the duration, not more.

having 20 seconds “giant form”. isnt long enough. you can hardly use any skills.
I just went to wvw.. and tested my dmg against npc mobs.
And the dmg isnt very.. “massive”. its rather low.
Its not hard to fix this. you alrdy have coding to make ppl bigger on effect.
and the rest are just a simple number fix.
Update: My mob was a wvw Ram.
My warrior is in zerker gear. (like everyone else)…
And my crits was around 2 k… and normals around 7 – 800..
seem pretty low compared to my: 1 hand sword crits 3.5 k…

killing a guardian is easy… just bring some friends. =P
engineer have FLAMETHROWER.
Rifle warrior only need 1 thing.
full zerker gear. all over. including zerker jewels.
My warrior have almost 4 k attack power. with no might buffs.
Dloading 5 k files to game atm.. so cant see my exact stats.
But. 20 k hp. 3.9 k attack power. 78 % crit chance. (98 % with fury signet active).
89 % crit dmg.
using bull charge to knock someone down.. and then empty my volley on them.
If its a staff elemental. they are more or less dead instant.
My volley usualy do around 8 – 13 k dmg. heavy armor – light armor.
I have seen 3k+ crits on my autoattack against light armor target in wvw.
And i usualy crit 1 k – 1.5k against heavy armor tank guardians.
I like my “boom stick”.
Go immortal healing build and gear. its great for trolling on ranger.
healing sux.. and still they want elementals to be a “support” class.
using healing and cc and some dmg.

A staff user at max range should not have better or even as good as a melee dps. That is complete bullkitten.
Imo.. it sounds like you are one of the “statue-guys”. that stands still in Staff elemental AoE.. and then complain about dying.
Learn to use movement keyes. the one that make your character more around.
Take a few minutes to learn wich button does wich direction.
Then face a staff elemental again. while using the movements you just learned.
As you noticed, staff elementals are now free kills. congratulations.
My staff elemental have: 2.4 k power. 61 % crit chance. 99% crit dmg.
14 k hp. using: Ether healing.. Mist form.. fire crit % signet.. 25 % movement..
And Greatsword summoning for faster traveling.
I only have vitality on my 2 accessories power/vital /crit%..
and my staff: power / vital / crit %.
pve is easy.
Even using this in wvw.
But because fireball traveling speed is so crappy.. its hard.
But, my highest fireball crit whith my 7 might stack, and 5 vulnerable on enemy.
was: 4.5k crit.
normaly its around 3 – 3.5k crits. IF they ever hit anything.
so basically what you want is for the elementalist to get a longbow for good single-target long range damage Instead of only AoE long range damage or single-target mid-range or D/D.
All you want to do is change the class. The other issues have been or will be dealt with in the near future. Just make sure to save up some silver for when they change the traits.
Giving elementals a longbow is just as stupid to have as DD imo.
What i want is the choise to specc how i want.
You know.. if i spend 30 points into fire and Air.. i should be able to have a pretty strong long range nuking setup. but we are very limited atm.
Do i want a more long ranged single target nuker..
Do i want a more long ranged AoE support. (dmg or healing).
And traits are the way to make this happen.. without making changes to the staff skills.
EX: A fire trait could Increase fireball speed by 50 %. (single target nuking).
Travel speed only.. so it can actually HIT something…
Or a Water trait could increase ALL AoE effects. Healing, CC, Dmg.
effects = dmg, healing, longer cc. etc.
Just make sure you cant get all in one as DD have now.
you should have to choose either side.
a 40% increase to meteor shower. I can already crit for 5-6k meteors on berserker staff.
its easier to avoid a meteor shower than 1 hundred blade
its also easier to spam 1 hundred blade than meteor shower except in www on a castle wall.
You can see a lot of those pro thieves vids where they just don t even care of the huge red aoe and they don t get hit by any meteor…..
Meteor shower primary issue is:
It has lot of requirements:
-cooldown
-casting time
-no mobility while casting
-long time to startIt has no reliable effect:
-damage is quite inferior to many other professions skills
-even standing in it can result in 0 hitsHuge risk 0 reward….its a totally random skill nerfed in anet style long time ago.
Meteor shower could have an easy fix. Fire pulse on ground. same timer as lava font.
But also keeping the random meteors dropping.
That should make sure people want to avoid the AoE, and you have the reward you want. Controling peoples paths with AoE.
Every single meteor on meteor shower was a separate blast finisher, and what increase to cooldown/cast time would justify this kind of buff?
Of course, a more realistic buff is a 20% chance of blast finisher on it with a minor cooldown/cast time increase, or meteor shower time decrease…
Dmg on fireball is OK as it is. dont buff it.
Instead. increase its travel speed. so it actually HIT something.
If you want a Fire spell with a Blast finish. just put that on FIRE 3. 8 sec cd.
So if a target is on fire. and you flame burst it… or sumtin.
But, dont increase dmg on fireball.. increase travel speed.
A-net hates everything about “trinity” such as: “Healing class”. “Dps class” “tank class”.
But still we have classes that are stronger at either part…

IF they didnt want to have trinity. why not just make 1 class.
But i like the idea of having water 1 to healing party/friends.
IF they did that, even i whould consider using water more.

IF you wanted to be a hard hitting spellcaster.. you could.
IF you wanted to be strong in melee. you could (aslong as you took Magic resist).
But the coolest you could be in ultima was a dragon tamer.
guess our ranger whould like to fit that role.
Just to let op know, when wow came out, it was horrible in comparison to gw2. Every month there was a super overpowered class in BGs, and when ever they wild neerf the class, they wuld make another overpowered. GW2 is young, and from the looks of it, as it matures, it will become epic.
I played in wow beta… so i know very well about wow and its balance.
(thistle tea rogues etc).
But atleast the Ranged Caster class that had AoE. could still specc into superior single target dmg instead. or stronger AoE.
It was actually how i leveled in early wow.
Run in and get aggro. drop frost nova, blink out. and rain ice on them until they died.
But later, as i got lvl 60. i specced into stronger Single target dmg. Fire, and none that supported AoE.
In GW2, you dont have a choise.
But, lets wait abit and see what the changes are.
Hope they speed up fireball abit aswell. its way to slow.
OP you’re mad that GW2 isn’t what you want it to be. But it is what A-net designed it to be. are there bugs/problems? Yes. Are they working on them? Yes. It may not be the speed at which you or I would like but they ARE working on it. No MMO is ever finished, that’s the nature of the type of game it is. There is no trinity in this game and you know what? it works. It’s frustrating at times because this game is different from any MMO we’ve played before but it DOES work. This isn’t WoW, (thank god). If you don’t like the game for the core mechanics, (no trinity everyone is heals, dps and support) then maybe this just isn’t the game for you.
Iam more annoyed about that we are given false choises.
“here you have skill points to use as you want, but you still cant specialize in any field no matter how many points you spend”.
Bunch of whining kids who have a class that has the easiest learning curve in the game , the best condi removal in the game, the best healing in the game next to guardian , the most escapes in the game next to thief , and some of the best aoe application/fields you can give to a group next to ranger’s water healing spring field and are complaining.. Utterly ridiculous. You guys have absolutely no idea how well you have it made and you guys are crying like little babies.

make them know what it feels like to play staff.
Here’s a handy tip that has saved my life several times in WvW.
Other than your auto attacks (which are mostly very bad) very few staff skills give any indication of where they’re coming from. If you’re 1v1 it might buy you an extra second or 2. If there’s multiple things to Tab-Target, or your grouping, it’s useful to run outside someone’s field of view and drop non-thrown stuff on them so they don’t really know where you are.
I do this all the time when defending a keep.
look for someone that have attention elsewhere.
start with lava font, hit nr3 for added burning, and shoot a few fireballs.
If they arent aware at all. they go down. and when ppl try to help him. i put my meteor shower above him.. and use other elements AoE on him also to try and keep them in there.
But when we talk about a zerg vs zerg.
it doesnt matter what you do to help your team.
Even if you lure enemy into a thight spot so you can rain AoE. 1 dodge. and they are thru it all.
The ONLY AoE that can give you time. 1 – 2 seconds. is the electric stun field.
No class can aoe damage from afar like Staff eles, you guys want staff eles to be everything at once, from long range aoe powerhouses to 1v1 killing machines, and that just won’t happen.
Learn to see the pros that each weapon set can provide. Range isn’t something to be ignored.
Did you ever play wow ? or many of the other mmorps wich have a mage class.
They have a set of single target spells, and a set of AoE spells.
And you can most of the time specialize into one of the fields to master it.
But you still have access to both at same time while running around.
So if you face a group of ppl, you used your AoE skills,
and if you caught a random solo player, you used single skills.
IN GW2, we have to run with a bag open so we can switch weapons.
since we dont have a combat weapon switch… the stupidity of this idea!!!.
And, since A-net is realy hating the thought of doing it like many other games.
dps – healing – tank. specializations.
I dont even see the point in having a skill tree.
Because it wont allow you to be much better at anything anyways.
So in short. we are given FALSE choises.
A-net have fecked up the staff elemental so hard, i doubt they will ever find a good fix for it.
But, imo its not hard to fix it, and the key is called: TRAITS.
You wont have to do much to the weapons themselves. just minor stuff.
Increased fireball speed etc. small things. very easily fixed.
And traits is the way where we are supposed to pick a special field we want to master anyways. so traits are the way to fix elementals.. and staff / scepter mainly.
EX: making changes to staff only, (and scepter maybe) not to overpower the D/D even more.
Internal fire: increase fire dmg by 10 %. AND fireball criticals cause burning.
Aeromancer alacrity: All air skills reduced 20 . AND chain lightning have 10 chanse to stun on critical hit.
Add staff (and scepter) only benefits to traits to bump it up to be more usefull.
And 5point marks are made for DD in mind as it is now.
How about changing those to benefit both sides ??
As a range support, i realy dont want or need things like:
Flame barrier. 20 % chanse to cause burning when melee hit you.
Sunspot: Cause explosion when attuning to fire, cause dmg to melee.
IF staff is played right, you are NEVER close to enemy, and they will NEVER hit you.
I mean, seriously. staff have no use for anything that is melee based, yet most of traits and 5 points are made with melee benefits.
make them worthwile. for both sides. not just the precious “innovative” D/D.
Is this realy too much to ask for ?? I hardly think so.
BUT.
Dont overdo the traits. start low with one patch. see how that works. need more power ? buff it a little. untill it looks right.

I have no idea about the system A-net uses. but i could bet i whould be able to make these small changes myself, if given 2 days only.
1 day to look over the system, see how the database works. and 1day to make changes.

Comparing to my rifle warrior. (range specialization). controling with dmg + slow.
3.6 k power. 76 % crit (not counting in rage or rage button) 86 % crit dmg.
My rifle warriors Bullets. HIT their target. making him alot more scary.
and even more so when i land my bullcharge and then empty my volley on them while they are stuned, ending with the rifle knockback.
The biggest fail here.
my warrior is using heavy armor. almost 800 more armor than my elemental.
with zerker gear he still have 20 k hp. 6 k more hp than my elemental.
weapon swaping. to escape or close. no escapes with my staff.
Rifle bullets HIT their target. Fireball almost NEVER hit anything.
In a duel. if i whould face a staff elemental.. and i have in wvw with my warrior.
they die so fast, that you can begin to question if there realy was a fight in the first place…
Yeah I agree that Elementalist are the red head step children of Anet.
Everyone thinks this. Seriously, you can find threads on every profession board that go on and on about how Anet has it out for them specifically.

Isnt it about time then that A-net Admit they made a misstake on their core design ?
And that they try to fix it. Instead of just ignoring it.
The place i work at IRL. our top boss, is just ignoring everything we say to him.
“its 2013, we live in sweden, and we have no water in our building, please fix this”. Ignored for 3 years now.
“you have to repair the building, its falling apart, the roof can come down any second on us, look, when it rains outside, its more dry out there than in here”. ignored.
In Short: HE is running his company into the ground.
the sad part ? He is running a bussines that is very rare and have INSANE potentials.
We, his workers see the potentials, we even tell him. but we get ignored.
HE is boss. HE knows whats best.. ye right.
He can NEVER admit he have been wrong, in any way.
you can even show him evidence of how wrong he was, and still he says he is right.
I cant complain and bring in our system against his company, because the ppl i work with there are like family, and realy great ppl.
So iam curious about A-net. will they behave like my boss. being totaly stupid.
OR
Will they infact open their eyes, admit they made some misstakes, fix them.
And have a good chanse at actually becoming a good E-sport game.
I doubt Anet even cares as if they change it now, it would show they made a mistake and they don’t want to look bad so I predict it will just continue as the weakest link (class).
Question: Who do you have biggest respect for ?
1: A company that make misstakes, but just ignores them.
2: A company that make misstakes, Admits it, BUT Fixes the misstakes, and learns from it.
I dont know about you. but the ones that earn my respect as player, and fellow human. are the ones that admit misstakes, fix them and learns from it.

to me now for even bringing this up.
But lets take a quick look.
At Basic design, A-net have stated they feel “innovative”… so they dont want to use the old and very functioning system of: Dps / healer / tank.
The same Innovative feeling is why they have made DD stronger than staff.
Even tho, Staff mages in lore, books, movies, or what ever. outnumber dagger users like 1 – 500.000.
Instead they want us to be all in one.
Now, this is a totaly LIE… and double moral.
IF they wanted us to be all in one.
Why The Hell… did they give us the specc tree then.
(all classes).
“here, you have a dps tree, but you still wont do dmg.. LOL ROFL”…
“here, you have a healing tree, but you cant heal… I trolled youuu…”
“here you have a tank tree, But you still cant tank… LOL.. i trolled you again”…
We are given skill points to use how ever we want. GREAT…
But it doesnt realy matter where we put them, we are still not much better than one who doesnt spend the points. other than it gives a little more attribute points.
we are given a ranged spell caster. with low hp.. lowest armor class, crap for defensive “oh-kitten” buttons.
And we cant specc into becoming superior at hard hitting long range dps.
Fireball speed… just lol.
Or long range healing support. 2 skills that heal ??? and on long cd ?? wtf…
Elementals is in a state even worse than pally dps.. or 2 hand shamy was in vanila wow.
These 2 classes wasnt made to be a 2 hand dps. But it still worked great with gear and specc. Shamy was realy funny, windfury procs, dispells, roots, escapes, everything.
And dont give me the crap of “we are self sustained”. “we are support”.. “bla bla”.
Both pally and shamy was very much self-sustaining and at same time great support,
While doing great dps.
And now, A-net want GW2 to become the next super star in E-sport ??
pfff..with totaly imbalanced classes and speccs, no way to specialize in any field….

staff in a small team pvp… ?? good luck with that.
they designed staff for guarding keeps in wvw. and thats it.
Any competetive team.. wont allow you to use Staff.
No survival, No escapes, Do dmg.
You can do a little AoE. but you wont land any.
In small pvp, everyone is more alert. and they also know that you are the weakest in your team. so either ignore you. or take you out in 2 hits. (send in a thief).

The designers are idiots… what else is new.
I just want to be able to play the aoe dmg support as we are designed to play.
The only way to push and controll enemies are if our AoE fields actually do dmg.
when i play my warrior or flamer-enginner. and i face these.
jack of all trade staff supporters. i just laugh at them.
i can most of the time continue to use the flamerams on the gates, even while they use their aoe on me. because its so weak if they gear for anything but dmg.
But on the otherhand, i have myself with 1 other player been able to hold a gate against 10-15 people. because they can not use their flamerams due to my AoE hitting harder. (when i use berzerker gear).
but, they just build a cata at range and laugh at me.
And when facing weak aoe dmg on ground fights. i also just laugh at the poor staff elemental that is geared for “support” and given such weak traits.
DMG is the only way to controll enemies from flanking your group.
My warrior in full zerker armor. have 20 k hp. critting almost 2 k on my auto.
and 10 k volleys on light armors.
And my warriors bullets HIT their targets.
something is very wrong when you compare to my 14 k hp… staff elemental.
With fireballs that rarely ever hit anything.
Who is controlling better ?? my warrior.
going back to playing it. just remember how much better it is.
HP, ARMOR, ESCAPES, MOBILITY, DMG. my rifle warrior have that.
my staff elemental have:
… … … … decent dmg. GREAT. 1 out of 5. not bad.
And thieves arent that bad on my warrior. sure very good thieves always will be.
But, i can use my bullcharge and volley on them to start the fight. wich takes them to 30 % hp or less. making them scared and takes off. some i even kill in that combo.
DD users complaining about not being able to use RTL and troll whole zergs themselves.
come try play a staff elemental. then you atleast have a Valid point in being seriously kitten ed off at the designers.
DD users have: dmg, escapes, survival, boons.
staff have none of these.
and you complain ?? just lol.
After taking my staff elemental to wvw for abit again.
(took a break for my warrior and flamer-engineer).
Its more clear than ever before.
Staff = total and absolute crap.
Dagger/Dagger still A-nets little favourite specc on elemental.
If YOU (a-net). want us staff elemental users to be supports.
Give us our 150 skill points then. and maybe, just maybe, we can play as a decent support.
Right now. our supporting is complete and total bullkitten.
IF i Gear thoughness + healing. + support traits.
I will have absolute zero damage capability.
And last time i checked, our support role is to deal dmg in AoE. right ???
well, you kinda totaly failed at this in design.
So, full support + traits = 0 dmg = support ability worthless.
Lets gear for dmg then instead.
full berzerker.. (only way to get some ability to deal dmg).
Well, now we have 14 k hp, no thoughness and no ways to escape either as we play staff.
Wich means. the totaly op thieves (your favourite class in game).
Can now 1 hit us. or 2 hit us with their spam able heart-jump-strike.
Can i 2 hit the thief ? not a chanse in hell.
Can i get away like a thief ? even less chanse.
Can a thief kill me in the middle of my group of friends ? YES.
(simply cloak + stability and use stomp).
Its very simple how you should go to balance up the staff users and not make the D/D
specc even more op than it is compared to us.
Give staff users Bigger AoE + longer duration + Instant dmg on placings + increased HP and thoughness WHILE using a staff. and ONLY staff.
THIS will not make staff users op in any way, its only a very tiny step in the right direction. wich were we are several MILES behind.
A staff supporter is there to push back and controll enemies with their AoE DMG…
but staff have no dmg, unless we go full berzerker, wich makes us die in 2 hits.
So, its kinda clear. to me atleast. staff need more hp and survival, while still being able to have the dmg.
Or is that only for your little favourite D/D specc ?
all boons, all survival, all dmg, all support… All in one.
And i know we have what i said above already. Spread out in our tree.
But its not very hard to mod the traits. is it.
“Blasting staff” 20 point arcana. larger AoE while using staff.
great, i have to sacrifice 20 points to get what i should have at BASE.
“Persisting flames” 30 point fire: Fire fields last 30 % longer.
If iam designed to atunement jumping, should not this longer lasting apply to all my elements ???
There are almost NO traits that supports staff.
95 % of them are made to fit for the D/D users. and you see this more clearly when looking at all the 5 point steps.
Blasting enemies with fire while atuneing, lightning, blinding… … etc.
20 % chanse to place a fire dot when ppl hit me in melee.. IAM A RANGED SUPPORT.
I NEVER even want to be in melee.
You say: “staff = support”.
But yet, you dont give traits to realy support that.
If i ever saw a bad design… … …
